Those who are true and kind
Those are the kind of people who mean the most to me. It doesn't matter if you are family, friends, relatives or strangers. We could have only met once but your genuineness and kind heart surely left an impact on me.
That's my answer to the next prompt which is about people who mean the most to me.
In this age that we are in, it is a world full of lies even more so because of the advent of social media and the internet where everything can be faked so easily. Amidst the eccentricities and noise, it is rare to find real people.
We all know what it's like being fooled by others. That's why we have become untrusting. People don't show their true self right away unless they have no use of you. Even the kindness that they show you must be compensated.
I may sound cynical but that's the reality we are in now.
Having said that, there are those who are rare gems with a heart full of gold. They are those who make this world a better place. They give us hope for mankind. They give willingly without asking something in return. They are concerned about others authentically without a doubt.
That's why if you find truthful people, take care of them for they are a rare breed. Don't take them for granted. Don't treat them like how others treat you.
For the next prompt, it's about tradition that I'm grateful for.
Filipinos are known for their closely knit ties with family and relatives. The relationships and bonds we create with our family is strong. Blood is thicker than water so they say and it is true. We Filipinos take care of each other. We are concerned about each other.
There are lots of differences of course. That's a given. There are lots of misunderstandings but we patch things up. Maybe not right away but we try not to let things come between us so we resolve things sooner or later.
There are many families that have been broken apart because of differences and pride and hurt.
However, I still believe in this tradition for I get to see families coming together, celebrating together.
I hope your relationships with your family is as strong as ever.
