Wilkies Pools, Mt Taranaki, NZ A beautiful cascading waterfall fills up loads of amazing pools, all the way down the southern side of mount Taranaki! The mountain spring water is crystal clear and very refreshing! I had a drink, and a dip! One of the most scenic shorts walks I have done, the goblin forest makes it all so much more special!

@sunsethunter

Wairere falls! 153m! The tallest in the north island, New Zealand 🇳🇿 To finish my waterfall marathon posts, here is Wairere falls! It plummets down 153m making it the tallest in the north island. In the South Island there are much larger falls, but this one sure is spectacular. I like this image through the bush. I’m far away and if you zoom in a little you’ll feel how massive this is! It’s a great hike up to the top too! Plus some areas to cool off in the pools down below :)

@sunsethunter

Feather falls, California! I have to share this amazing waterfall with everyone! When I was in California, we took a trip to feather falls and it’s was brilliant! This is 120m high, apparently - honestly it seemed like double that! This was an incredible one. I know I said my last waterfall was going to be the last, but I couldn’t leave out feather falls as I loved it so much! Thanks everyone :) I’m continuing with my weekly theme of water, and will be posting some super…

Rainbow mountain, crater lake. New Zealand This photo is completely raw, the water really is that turquoise! Rainbow mountain is a brilliantly coloured mount in a volcanic valley, reds, purples, oranges, yellows all fill the rocks for a unique rock formation... and then this appears! Crater lake! Due to the volcanic activity the acids and minerals cause this water to turn this magnificent colour! It’s hot too!

@sunsethunter

Blue Springs, Waikato NZ I wonder why they called this blue springs..? 😉 A natural spring fissioned from an underwater source, this spring water takes over 100 years to surface and is the source of NZ’s spring water. It’s huge, this is just a photo of a tiny section, but you can walk to the source along a path for about 2 hours before the Waihou river is formed and goes through the country. I’ve always wanted to see this further downstream :)

@sunsethunter

Geothermal Wonderland, Rotorua! Here is another geothermal pool! This was in an amazing volcanic valley. Can you guess the temperature of this water? Let me know what you think! This isn’t rainbow mountain (last post) but it’s very similar. You can see the beautiful colouring on the rocks. Steam is pouring out of nearby rocks. Rotorua is the place for incredible geothermal landscapes!

@sunsethunter

West Coast, New Zealand 🇳🇿 Good night noise fam! Here’s a brilliant sunset into the Tasman sea!

@sunsethunter

Good morning from New Zealand! I hope you’re all having a brilliant day/evening! Good night to most of you ;) here a shot I captured of the west coast - I love the pastel colours and reflections in the water! That’s the advantage of looking behind during a sunset is you often have a rainbow of colours to view!:) Where has your favourite sunset moments been? 🌅

@sunsethunter

Volcanic Valley, Rotorua Steaming Lake! This is the largest geothermal spring in New Zealand (I think even in the world). You can see the steam pouring off of the surface and the temperature can reach over 80C! So it’s hot! You can also see the steam coming out of the rock faces. Also, a faint upside down rainbow was present, it’s hard to make out though! It’s hard to gauge size from this photo but this was big! The streams feed down and a lovely walk out to a crater lake…

@sunsethunter

Volcanic Valley, Rotorua! NZ We had to take a boat across the river to get here, it felt like stepping food into another planet... looked like it too! This was the silica terraces and the hot pools :) such a unique place! I love the geothermal wonderlands here, and the natural hot pools! This one was far too hot to bathe in at 80C, would not go in there haha! Lots of other streams at 40 or 50 though :)

@sunsethunter

Good night everyone :) I thought I’d just write a post here without a photo - if anyone wants to take a look at my photos from this week, feel free :) the theme is water and I’ve posted some of my favourite waterfalls and more. Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying themselves here, it seems my subscriptions aren’t being shown to me anymore but lots of random users... so I am missing all of my subs haha. If I was a regular commenter on your posts, drop a comment so I can find…

@sunsethunter

Cathedral Cove, NZ Good morning everyone! Time for another awesome day :) here is Cathedral Cove, and it is so beautiful. The clear waters and white sands complimented by this stunning cove! It’s like a dream! Peace and love!

@sunsethunter

Coromandel, Cathedral Cove, NZ I love how silky the sand looks here and also the calm water just covering the shot. This spot is a personal favourite:) it’s a nice hike there and a great spot for swimming and snorkeling in the summer :)

@sunsethunter

Bridal Veil falls:) another view, another day! Here’s the stunning 80m Bridal Veil falls from another viewing platform :) it’s such a beautiful one, this time after some rain! Can you see the faint rainbow at the bottom? My weekly theme for water is almost over! I’m the moving onto ‘beaches’, and then the big one - sunsets! I will post my favourite 3 water shots to end the week. 3 waterfalls and 3 bodies of water! Thanks to everyone who engages on my photos, it means a lot…

@sunsethunter

My latest guitar solo :) Eminem - Lose Yourself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8Wei3lLqmQ As some of you might know, I also have a YouTube where I post guitar videos! Plus some travel vids. I haven't been posting recently as I have a bad arm injury (tendonitis) that isn't going away so my playing is limited! But, I did mange to play this Eminem song the other day! Any Eminem fans out here? Do you know this song? I'll be back to regular uploads in a few weeks, I hope!

@sunsethunter

Good night everyone! I’m shutting off for the evening, going to relax and I’ll be back tomorrow with my top 3 waterfalls, and my top 3 unique water colours! Have an amazing day everyone! Catch up soon :)

@sunsethunter

Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown:) Good morning everyone! Here is my favourite place! This is in the South Island of New Zealand, and the water is crystal clear. The scenery is stunning, and the activities are endless! I’ve had some of my best times in Queenstown :) I’ll post some activity shots soon! Bungee jump, canyon swing, mountain biking, skiing... queenstown has it all!:) Have an amazing day/eve/night everyone!

@sunsethunter

My top 3 waterfalls in NZ! This was hard as there are so many beautiful ones I’ve been lucky enough to visit many! My top 3 are all in the north island and are: 1. Marokopa falls 2. Omanawa falls 3. Bridal Veil falls Which one do you like best? It’s hard to choose! Let me know if you have a favourite:) Finishing up my ‘water’ themed week with a few top 3’s!

@sunsethunter

My top 5 unique natural waters! To finish off my weekly theme of water, I’m sharing my top 5 unique waters! The colours of all of these shots are just crazy! Which one is your favourite? These aren’t in order for me as I can’t choose! I also had many more to add! They are: 1. Hokitika Gorge 2. Haast blue pools 3. Volcanic Valley 4. Rainbow Mountain 5. Blue Springs Good night everyone! Have an awesome day :)

@sunsethunter

Good morning noise fam! This weeks theme is beaches! I’m starting off with Magnetic island in Australia! Thanks for checking out my last weeks theme of ‘water’, that was fun! I have some great beaches and coastlines to share with everyone, ranging from Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and USA :) I’ll post mostly my photography but also some ‘raw’ images from my GoPro I’ve been seeing many amazing beaches and photography in general from everyone here, keep it coming!:) I’m…

@sunsethunter

Beach sunset, Portsmouth, UK 🇬🇧 I was looking back over some past photos and wanted to find some coastal shots of Portsmouth to sort of represent polar opposite of my previous post (Australia). Here’s a lovely sunset beach shot of the Southsea pier! The beach isn’t clearly visible but it’s rocky. This was a daily chill spot for me, I lived in Portsmouth for 5 years... wow how time flies. The water was cold but we’d go swimming in the summer here :) Usually, the water wasn’t…

@sunsethunter

San Francisco, USA! SF is a coastal city and home to some great surfing! You might be able to make out a few keen surfers in the waves :) I was surprised at how nice and big the beaches were, and it was a pretty warm day for December! I had a great time in California:) have you ever been to the states?

@sunsethunter

A beautiful sunset in Thailand :) Thailand is one of my favourite countries, I absolutely loved my time in the southern part of Thailand. The beaches and islands are just stunning, I loved it!:) the food is amazing too! Here’s a lovely pastel sky with a beautiful beach :) I’m shutting off for the evening now - have a great day everyone! I’ll respond tomorrow :) peace and love!

@sunsethunter

Lamai beach, Koh Samui, Thailand 🇹🇭 Could the water look any more inviting? I’ll be posting some of my favourite Thailand beaches over the next day or two, before moving onto some stunning coastlines here in New Zealand! For me, Thailand has the most beautiful beaches and islands that I have ever seen! I know many other places have stunning beaches and islands, I will just have travel there to find out!:) Do you have a favourite beach?

@sunsethunter

Beautiful white sand, warm weather and clear waters! Southern Thailand provided endless settings just like this one :) I have an amazing beach sunset to share later! Also, later on I will share some of my GoPro images from Thailand. I have some stunning ones to share which I think you will love! Thanks for checking out my posts everyone, I appreciate it and the engagement! This weeks theme is beaches and coastlines :) Thailand will make up a few days of this, but I have…

@sunsethunter

Golden Gate Bridge! SF, USA 🇺🇸 San Francisco’s coastline is beautiful! I was really surprised at the lovely beaches and also the rugged coastline. There were loads of walks to do and of course, seeing one of the most famous landmarks, the Golden Gate Bridge! It’s an engineering masterpiece and I’m sure this is the worlds most well known bridge. It was a sight to behold and a great trip :) You can see a mini private beach down bottom left, and the lovely coastline! I was…

@sunsethunter

Beautiful Thai sunset :) A lovely pink sky during sunset on the beautiful island koh samui. I love how to coconut tree compliments the amazing sky in the one, and how the calm water reflects the sky :) it’s beautiful! Was a warm evening and had nothing else to think about apart from the sky :)

@sunsethunter

Good night noise fam :) I hope you all have a brilliant day! It’s almost bed time for me, so I’m shutting off for the night! I have a busy few weeks coming up but it’s all good :) Here is a beautiful shot from Koh Tao in Thailand. Such an amazing island!

@sunsethunter

Mt Maunganui! Bay of Plenty, NZ The Mount! This is a great place, has a surfer/hippy vibe to it (so I fit in great haha!) and a beautiful coastline! The view from the top of the mount is amazing! See next post ;) The beach is almost endless going down the east coast of New Zealand. Did you know the east coast has white sand beaches but the west coast has black sand beaches, along the whole of New Zealand!

@sunsethunter

Mt Maunganui - view from the top! Following on from my last post, here is the view from the top! This is about 250m up (looks higher than the last photo hey!) and the views are brilliant! The waves are great, so it’s a good surf spot :) I love this place! I guess when we are going through challenging times we must remember the good and what we have done to get to where we are, and what we can do tomorrow! Have an awesome day everyone :)

@sunsethunter

Mt Maunganui sunset! New Zealand’s east coast Good night noise fam! I’m shutting off for the night, bed time here in NZ! To finish of my beach shots of the Mount, here’s another sunset, dipping under the Mount itself! This weekly theme is still beaches and I have some amazing NZ coastlines to share with you all, from golden to black sand, coves, islands, and more!:) Thanks to everyone who check out my page, comments and engages! I always appreciate it! And remember, with a…

@sunsethunter

Good morning from NZ everyone:) A quick post before I head off to work... The Coromandel! Home to some of the best beaches in NZ :) also home to a ‘hot water beach’ where you can dig into the sand and create your own hot tub! Have a great day/night noise fam!

@sunsethunter

The Coromandel, Cathedral Cove, NZ! Looking back into the cove! Some of the smoothest sand in NZ, and home of some of the nicest beaches the coromandel is the place to be in the summer, or winter! But I won’t be swimming in the winter haha! There’s actually an arc shaped cloud here that was like a mini vapour rainbow! Very unique as there was no rain, so this was a first for me!:)

@sunsethunter

Amazing ‘Island’ at Cathedral Cove :) (click to see) :) I loved this ‘island’ at the coromandel! It looked so cool:) the beach was lovely and the water was calm, low tide so I could walk right up to it! I’ll have to bring my snorkel gear next time and see what fish are about :) In fact, I have snorkelled near this beach, I will upload a picture soon!:) Peace and love to you all!

@sunsethunter

Beautiful views off the Coromandel coast :) The coromandel is a stunning part of New Zealand, with gorgeous beaches, rugged coastlines, islands, and many mountain hikes with rivers and waterfalls! I’m very grateful to live here as it seems there is natural beauty everywhere - plus I love the outdoors! It’s time to plan some winter hikes I think! Do you prefer winters or summers?

@sunsethunter

Good night noise fam! Through the Cove! My last post of some of my photography from Cathedral cove, NZ. It’s bed time here now, I hope you all have a wonderful day! Tomorrow might be quite busy for me but I’ll be posting some West cost pictures - black sand beaches :) My weekly theme is still ‘beaches and coastlines’ this week. Have a big one next week that might last more than a week as it is sunsets! Peace and love to you all!

@sunsethunter

Good morning to you all! Good (New Zealand) morning and good night to most of you!:) here’s a picture of myself looking out to sea! I will be posting some from the west coast today, which is pretty unique as it’s black sand beaches! I’ll try to post a few panoramic shots too if I can!

@sunsethunter

Kawhia, New Zealand 🇳🇿 Black sand beach! The black sand is so soft and makes it look super reflective :) The whole of New Zealand’s west coast is black sand due to the soft material coming from a nearby volcano - mt Taranaki :) I posted about that mountain a few weeks ago (if you like, you can see my hike up to the summit here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=A3QhQioBUhI ) Also, Kawhia (pronounced kafia) is another hot water beach! So you can dig into the sand and hot water…

@sunsethunter

Beautiful clear water and a private beach :) (click for full effect!) What do you think - is this a lake, or the sea? Found a ‘private’ section to a beach here and a perfect swimming spot! :)

@sunsethunter

Good night noise fam :) Have an awesome day to you all, it’s time for me to shut off for the night :) My weekly theme is still ‘beaches and coastlines’ so here’s a wonderful shot of NZ’s east coast! I have a few more of the east coast to share, then my local beach, Raglan!:) love it :) Peace and love to you all!

@sunsethunter

Good morning to you all from New Zealand!:) Here’s a beautiful picture to Waihi beach :) I love this shot through the tree with the purple flowers, showing the beach and water through it! The water was lovely, it’s a great spot I love it there! However, I did see a shark in the water! 🦈

@sunsethunter

Secret beach on the east coast - NZ I love this view so much! Walking along the coastal ridge, many beaches present themselves to you - here is one of them! I love it, so beautiful and awesome colours :) I was actually snorkelling before, I’ll post a few pictures from that a bit later :) Peace and love to you all! Have a great day :D

@sunsethunter

Here are the snorkelling pictures :) that’s me! 🤿 Following on from my last post, I said I was snorkelling in a bay!:) this is actually a protected marine reserve where no fishing or boats are allowed. Fishing, and boating is pretty popular here in NZ. So this area gives a safe zone for marine life to flourish! There are buoys set up with pictures and information on them to help you spot the marine life! I saw many fish, kelp forests, and the best was a HUGE crayfish 🦞! No…

@sunsethunter

A beautiful view! Coromandel, NZ A great place to sit and relax :) here’s my final beach and coast shot from the east coast (for now). Tomorrow I’ll be sharing my local beach, Raglan! It’s a great spot, I love it! I might upload some panoramic photos too if I can!:) that’s for the final day of my weekly theme ‘beaches and coastlines’ :) Everyone, have an awesome day - you’re all incredible! :) peace and love

@sunsethunter

Good morning everyone! To finish up my weekly theme of ‘beaches and coastlines’ I’ll be sharing some of my local beach, Raglan! It’s a surfers paradise, and probably the surfers capital of NZ. It has brilliant left breaking waves that seem to last forever, and huge beaches, lots of walks, and a small town with some great places to eat and get surf/skate/random cool thingys! Hope you’re all good! Have any of you tried surfing before?

@sunsethunter

Raglan, New Zealand 🇳🇿 My happy place! Raglan is a surfer paradise and a great place to relax and enjoy! It’s about 45minutes drive from me so I’m here pretty often! The tide is very strong though so you must be careful when swimming! You can also see Mt Karioi :) there’s a hike up to the top which I’m still yet to do, but I will do soon! I’ve heard the view is unreal :) Peace and love to you all!

@sunsethunter

Views up towards Auckland! The view from raglan stretches all the way up the west coast to Auckland!:) if I was up a little higher, I would be able to see all the way across the county to the west coast!:) on a clear day it’s possible from mt Karioi :)

@sunsethunter

Today marks the end of my weekly theme of ‘beaches and coastlines’ - here’s a panoramic photo I’ve tried to upload - not sure how it will go as I’ve had to resize it but I thought I would try :) This is at Raglan :) I found a private spot to chill! Then again it’s a pretty private spot anyway there’s loads of room and not too many people so perfect for me haha :) Next, my theme will be sunsets! This might last more than a week haha because I have some good ones!:) Edit -…

@sunsethunter

Kaikoura, New Zealand 🇳🇿 Kaikoura actually means eat lobster! You can do plenty of that here in kaikoura as it’s a crayfish haven! It’s also home to lots of whales and dolphins due to a large drop off close to shore. I’ve seen whales from the shore which was really cool :) Kaikoura was actually hit with a huge earthquake about 5 years ago. It has now recovered from the damage. Peace and love to you all!

@sunsethunter

Good morning noise fam! Today is the day I start my new weekly theme! This one is ‘sunsets’ 🌅! So I wanted to start off with one linked to my previous theme. (I know this one isn’t quite golden hour but stay tuned ;) ) Here is Greymouth on the west coast of New Zealand 🇳🇿 can you see the storm off to the right? There was a major storm off to the right and a break during sunset :) There was also some big waves nearby that the surfers were hitting! Disclaimer - this theme…

@sunsethunter

Tauranga, New Zealand Kicking off with a few beautiful sunrises from the east coast! These were stunning and every morning I swear the were totally different! I’ll be starting with Tauranga, then I have some amazing ones from California, Thailand, China, and of course New Zealand :) it’s going to be a good week (or 2) of sunsets!:) Peace and love to you all!

@sunsethunter

Tauranga part 2 :) As I said in my previous post, these sunrises here look different every day! You can see with this one that it’s true :) the sky had all the pink and purple shades, it was amazing! Clouds make for such a good sunset! Do you prefer clear sky sunsets or with some clouds? It’s hard for me to choose! Peace and love :)

@sunsethunter

Tauranga part 3 The final sunrise from the harbour in Tauranga :) this ones amazing. Again, no editing or anything here just a raw photo - I Love the rays! The way the suns rays are cutting into the sky is beautiful, and also the calm water with the boats :) it all looks awesome to me, and brings back some of the best memories! Memories are very important, it’s great to look back and smile and remember awesome times, and realise how lucky we are. Being grateful for…

@sunsethunter

Good night noise fam :) Have a great day everyone, it’s time for bed here in New Zealand. Enjoy what you’re doing today, have fun! Here’s a lovely sunset picture from the bay of plenty :) very fond memories of this time, and many more to be had :) Peace and love!

@sunsethunter

Good morning from NZ :) Here is lake Taupō , New Zealand’s biggest lake, overlooking Mt Ruapehu!:) you can see the mountain on the other side of the lake, it’s really far away but quite the sight still :) I like using my binoculars from this view! It’s actually an active volcano 🌋 and I’m waiting for some snow to fall so I can hit the slopes this winter!:) Peace and love everyone! My weekly theme of sunsets will be taking us through New Zealand, California, China, Thailand,…

@sunsethunter

Taupō triple whammy! Can you see the steam coming off of the lake in the 3rd picture? There’s many hot spring flowing into the lake, if you know the spots you can have some areas to bath is the natural hot waters :) but be careful, they can get very hot! You can see Mt Ruapehu across the lake in the first picture and part of the city in the other :) Peace and love!

@sunsethunter

Beautiful lenticular clouds over the Remarkables, Queenstown, NZ This was a pretty special sunset here! The first time I had properly seen lenticular clouds forming over the mountains :)

@sunsethunter

My favourite sunset! Queenstown, New Zealand So this is my favourite sunset I have captured (definitely in my top 3), mostly because the moment was so awesome. It was right before I had to leave New Zealand and I made a promise to myself that I would return - and some years later I fulfilled that promise and I was back! That’s the short version of the story anyway haha! Oh yes, and it’s one of the most beautiful locations I have ever been!:) Peace and love :)

@sunsethunter

Good night noise fam :) Ending today’s sunset photos with Queenstown, NZ :) it’s one of my favourite places in the world, and with views like this you can see why! It’s an amazing place, the whole Otago region is beautiful. Another day has gone by again. I’ve got some music stuff to catch up on when my arm is healed, and some fitness goals to smash :D have a super busy week this week, not much spare time, but next week... it’s on! Peace and love to you all :)

@sunsethunter

Good morning everyone!:) Another day already! It’s going to be great today everyone :) enjoy! Starting the day with a beautiful Thai sunset. Thailand produced some of the best sunsets I’ve seen. The islands are just amazing there. Throughout the day I will be sharing some lovely Thai sunsets with you all :) Peace and love! :)

@sunsethunter

Koh Lanta, Thailand 🇹🇭 Island sunsets are just amazing. Something about seeing the sunset into the water (and then waking up to watch it rise out of the water!) is just incredible:) Thailand has many incredible sunsets, beaches, islands and food that I’ve experienced:) I loved my time there! Everywhere has its own unique gem 💎 so many more amazing places to visit in the future :)

@sunsethunter

Beautiful Koh Tao sunset :) I could have watched sunrises and sunsets here everyday :) I did for the 5 days I was here! One of the best places for snorkelling (that I have ever been) and an amazing island. I loved Thailand so much. Many more places to visit, I want to see the Philippines next :) when borders open of course!

@sunsethunter

California Love! Good night everyone, it’s time for me to shut off for the night :) Here’s an amazing sunset from my time spent in Northern California! What a place, what an experience! More coming soon :) Peace and love to you all!

@sunsethunter

California dream :) Click to see the moon!:) it’s always great to see the amazing sunset in another part of the world, and then to have the full moon on display is an extra blessing :) up in the mountains, no light pollution, it was an experience! Thanks everyone :) I hope you’re having a great week! Keep motivated and enjoy everything we can! Peace and love to you all!:)

@sunsethunter

Northern California sunset 🌅 I love how the rays turned out on the lens! Looks awesome :) this location had one of the best viewpoints for golden hour! An amazing place, I loved my time in the states and really enjoyed my experience in California! I know some of you have been to USA, do you have a favourite state? Or any you’d like to visit?

@sunsethunter

Magic Carpet of clouds! California:) Some of the sunsets I witnessed here have such a profound experience... ones like this almost felt as though I was underwater looking up at the surface, and the clouds were so lit up! They were amazing :) Well, a great Italian scientist Evangelista Torricelli once said we are beings living at the bottom of the ocean of air! Which is true and awesome to think of!:)

@sunsethunter

Fire in the sky! I’ve been posting a few sunsets today from my time in California, and they were some of the more unique and dramatic ones I’ve ever seen! This one almost has a ‘messy’ look to it, like an abstract art piece, yet it is also very beautiful in its own creative way :) There’s all sorts of shapes and a really strange cloud formation going on. It might not be obvious from the photo, but this was overlooking a huge section of the sky, the clouds stretched from over…

@sunsethunter

The grand cloud finale! I’ve posted a fair few Californian sunsets today with some wild cloud formations, and to finish here is the craziest one I had experienced! It was beautiful and menacing all at once. The ‘surface’ area that these clouds are covering is the entire field of view, it was an enormous scene! I hope you’ve all enjoyed these California Sunsets :) they were amazing and have a place in my heart that’s for sure! Good night everyone, it’s bedtime here in NZ!…

@sunsethunter

Good morning noise fam!:) Another beautiful sunset to share with you all, again from Northern California! I love how the sun rays flare across one side as the deep pastel colours take over the background, and the silhouette of the tree!:) It’s a long day at work for me today but that’s all good! I’ll try to catch up with you all on my lunch break (if I get one haha) but hope you all have a great night/day!:)

@sunsethunter

The final few :) Northern California I’ve said in some previous posts that the most dramatic sunsets I have seen were in California, and here’s another good example:) just the way the clouds would form and create amazing textures and colours in the sky was beautiful. I know it sounds strange, but the sky was HUGE there. I know, sky is sky right? Yes... but here the clouds and sunset would just take up your whole field of vision everyday! It was very cool :) Peace and love to…

@sunsethunter

Good night noise world!:) Time for bed here in New Zealand!:) Sharing one of my final few Californian sunsets. It’s great to look back and smile, and then to look forwards and smile about all of the great unknown times ahead!:) I have a few from San Francisco to share tomorrow:) this weeks theme is still sunsets! However I could go on forever with these ;) Peace and love to you all :)

@sunsethunter

Good morning to you all:) Another awesome day coming up for everyone! Good night to most of you and good morning to some of you:) I know New Zealand has one of the first mornings, what’s the time for everyone right now? It’s 7.30am here in NZ :) Here’s my last sunset I will share with you all (for now) from this particular spot in Northern California. It was a dream come true in many ways... Peace and love to you all

@sunsethunter

Sunsets over the Golden Gate Bridge 🌉 Possibly the most well known bridge in the world, and for a reason. It’s quite the sight! Did you know that the Golden Gate Bridge wasn’t intended on being ‘red’. Well, it’s technically ‘international orange’, but when the steel arrived it was painted with a orange/red primer which engineers decided have the bridge a more profound look than the carbon black or grey they had intended on painting it! I do love nature Unconditionally,…

@sunsethunter

Sunset over the streets of San Francisco! 🌅 Plus another one of the amazing Golden Gate Bridge 🌉 🌁 Beautiful scenes from my last day in San Francisco! I spent a fair bit of time in California, about 6 months over a few year period. It was amazing, surreal looking back! Blessed and grateful:) Peace and love to you all

@sunsethunter

Good night noise world! I’m shutting off for the night:) hope you all have a brilliant day! I Always appreciate everyone here, always great to hear from you all. I’m loving this noise community, it’s great and I’m happy to be part of it with you all! All here together on this sweet as journey! Here’s a lovely pink sunset over the San Francisco Bay :) amazing times! Peace and love to you all

@sunsethunter

Alcatraz Island I guess a sunset can make anything look great hey! But, Alcatraz is definitely in interesting place! Possibly the post well known maximum security prisons in operation from 1934 until 1963, it was shut down due to being expensive to run. Many criminals actually escaped from here believe it or not, and would swim to shore. I’ve read about these escapes and they are captivating! The waters are cold and shark infested... anyway, this is a pretty cool picture!…

@sunsethunter

New Guitar video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ftb8ZgnFw1g I haven't made/posted a new guitar video in quite some time due to my arm having been damaged, but... here it is! This is the guitar solo to Metallica's Nothing Else Matters! Any of you know this song? I was posting almost weekly videos for the last year - feel free to check any others out on my YouTube. I would be cool if we could post videos here on Noise, but I do really like the setup we currently have :) I…

@sunsethunter

Gazing off into the distance, clearing the mind and appreciating the beauty! So much beauty on this planet :) I went to an astronomy event last week and we were all discussing about human settlement on mars in the future, which brought up if we lived on mars we would be looking at earth through telescopes saying “I wish we all lived there, that’s where we want to be!” Earth is so unique and beautiful:) Peace and love! This shot is Northern California

@sunsethunter

Good morning to you all! The rain has stopped here and it’s a beautiful day! Now time to make some plans :) it’s going to be guitar practice, cycling, and possibly gym! Now my arm is better I can full speed ahead again with my guitar! What are your plans for the day?

@sunsethunter

Somerset, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 This is the last sunset from my time in England :) As most of you know, I am living in New Zealand! I am from England, and haven’t ‘lived’ there since about 2015 now. Over the past 6 years I’ve been lucky enough to travel and work quite a bit which was a goal of mine - not only to travel but also work along the way. It’s funny as I still refer to England as my home! Europe in general is my home, as is New Zealand! Also, between the years from…

@sunsethunter

Californian sunset through the trees!:) moon making an appearance too ;) Overlooking lake Oroville! Had a great time here, very unique experience! I’m posting my final few sunsets (for now ;) ) until next week my new theme will be “cities and skylines” as I’d like to share some of my experiences I had in China with everyone :) and other places too! I think I will have many more ‘sunsets’ as my weekly theme because you all know I love them! Peace and love :)

@sunsethunter

Guangzhou, China! This weeks theme is “cities, skylines and sunsets” so I’m kicking it off with Guangzhou! I was an engineering tutor here on a contract basis for about 3 years. Actually, next weekend marks 2 years since I left China. This photo was taken on a walk up a mountain that was right behind the polytechnic I worked at, this time I wanted to head up before sunset to see the city and I caught a few through the jungle :) I love nature, but some skylines sure do…

@sunsethunter

Good night noise fam! :) I really love this photo, it was taken on a hike near my work (one of the buildings near down below) and I was always trying to find a great skyline view of Guangzhou - and here is it! The sunset helped too :) it really was great. I’m definitely more of a nature person but I do find cities amazing, and China has the biggest! It was an impressive place that’s for sure! Peace and love!

@sunsethunter

Good morning everyone!:) Guangzhou, China - my old workplace! Following on from my pictures yesterday, here is the mountain that I had hiked up to take those skyline pictures!:) it’s pretty tall and the steps up were very steep! It has hot and definitely a good workout!:) This is from the campus I worked at. I have fond memories from this place :) Peace and love to you all

@sunsethunter

Guangzhou, China :) This weekly theme of mine is “cities, skylines and sunsets” and here is one of a city I spent a lot of time in! Do you find skylines beautiful? I Know many people do not like cities, actually I would include myself here, but I do find a great skyline such as this one very impressive. It definitely has a damaging effect on the earth, which is sad... but it’s part of human history in another sense. This particular city (central) was all built in around 10…

@sunsethunter

Canton Tower! (Click for full view!) Here is the huge 600m canton tower in Guangzhou! If you’ve seen my recent skyline pictures, you would have seen this landmark making a strong appearance!:) It really is quite the sight, in the day, or night! My weekly theme is “cities, skylines and sunsets” so I’ll be posting more landmarks and I’ll try to keep my sunsets city based ;)

@sunsethunter

Guangzhou - Day and night! A few final pictures of the mega city Guangzhou. Impressive in the day and the night. Was crazy to see, and really a very fascinating place. I had a great time here, all be it very high paced and intense at the time, looking back it was quite relaxed as I was able to enjoy the sights :) Peace and love to you all!

@sunsethunter

Good morning to you all :) Here is a picture of a lovely sunset in Guangzhou, and the polytechnic I used to work at. The skies in China would often light up with an orange glow during sunset, which was awesome! This could have been for a number of reasons (humidity, ...pollution?) but it sure did look cool and I enjoyed myself there :) Plus I got the epic lens flare in this one too :) Peace and love! Have an amazing night/day!

@sunsethunter

The there be light! I love this picture I captured of the sun rays blaring out from behind the clouds! It looked as though it was right behind the cloud :) It was an incredible sight! This could be anywhere, I was going to ask everyone to guess where... but I’ll tell you. This was in Guangzhou :)

@sunsethunter

Jinhua, China I wanted to share another work place of mine, Jinhua Polytechnic. This was the first time I stepped foot onto a ‘mega campus’ as I would call it. I’m talking huge... roads, a lake, a train and and aeroplane (yes!) skyscrapers (to my standard anyway) and enormous canteens, sports fields... you name it! Here is a picture of the train at entrance and also the engineering and science buildings that I would mostly work in. I had a great time here, it was a unique…

@sunsethunter

Jinhua had some of the more unique sunsets I’ve come across. The sun always seems to be enormous during sunset. I know a photo makes the sun look larger but really it looked huge and wasn’t overly bright during golden hour! Either way, it was always stunning! I have lots of amazing times to share with you all from my Jinhua experience:) many more city sunsets and skylines to come this week :) The first picture was from a chill spot I had. I always like finding some spots…

@sunsethunter

Good night to you all :) Have a wonderful day everyone! It’s bedtime here in NZ. Peace and love to you all! The photo is the sunset view out of my apartment in Jinhua when I was working there :) it was pretty cool! Edit - I’ve just had to delete a post as my photo wouldn’t show, I hope it does this time!:)

@sunsethunter

Good morning noise fam! Here’s another brilliant sunset from Jinhua from my chill spot :) you might remember that yesterday I mentioned how Jinhua produced some of the largest sunsets I have seen, it’s also present in this photo - you can see the sun always looks huge! It really did, it was amazing :) I have some more cool photos to share with everyone later ranging from sunsets (of course!), secret spots, pagodas, skylines, and also some ‘abandoned buildings... but not as…

@sunsethunter

Abandoned buildings of Jinhua Now, these aren’t your typical ‘abandoned’ buildings, and this post isn’t really for the photography itself but more some information and my own wondering. What you’re looking at is one of many apartment blocks being built. This is like a small city to me... but, these were everywhere and has little to no residents. I couldn’t understand why there were so many empty new buildings. I knew people who owned apartments that were totally empty,…

@sunsethunter

Jinhua campus sunsets 🌇 The last few on campus sunsets I’m going to share with everyone :) I have some big fiery ones to share soon, along with an incredible pagoda, and some great day and night skylines of Shanghai! Peace and love to you all :)

@sunsethunter

Last few Jinhua campus shots :) I was mentioning how large the campus at Jinhua Polytechnic was, and hopefully these pictures give a bit more scale :) it really was a lovely campus to work on, as I always had something new to see. My contract here was only 11 weeks, but it was a time I’ll never forget. I had a saying that I tell myself “you never regret doing something, you will only regret not doing something”... now that’s in relation to stepping out of your comfort zone ,…

@sunsethunter

Pagoda of ten thousand Buddhas - Jinhua (Click for full view) This was (for me) the most impressive landmark in Jinhua. Especially being European I don’t get to see this type of architecture! The journey there was amazing as I was able to walk through the ‘old’ part of Jinhua. There were many traditional old buildings and it made me think at the rate China is developing it might become a rarity to see the old style. I hope it can all stay. I had a great time here and this…

@sunsethunter

A few more street style sunsets before tomorrow when I post my ‘big 5’ from Jinhua! Picture 1 - Jinhua has huge rivers running through it, and many creative bridges to pass. Here’s one from the river :) Picture 2 - walking back to my apartment from work. Picture 3 is from my apartment window! Picture 4 - a very unique sunset, the clouds almost made it look like a huge flare or a literal fire in the sky! Do you have a favourite sunset out of these 4 photos? Let me know :)…

@sunsethunter

Good night everyone! It’s bed time here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 coming into the winter now and it’s cold! Well... I’ve had colder but it’s -1 so that’s cold! Have a great day! Peace and love

@sunsethunter

Good morning everyone!:) Finishing off my Jinhua experience I am posting 3 sunsets I have saved for last. The 1st one is a typical huge sunset that I was always amazed by, honestly the sun looks huge! I wonder why this effect would occur... the 2nd is from my favourite chill spot I had :) I loved it! The 3rd is one of my most vibrant displays of rays I’ve seen! I hope you’ve all enjoyed this! Do you prefer when I posts several pictures at a time? Or when I posts singular…

@sunsethunter

SHANGHAI, day and night (click for best view) The Bund! The best view over the mega city, Shanghai. Now, as some of you know I’m not really a city person, but Shanghai really impressed me. This is the most impressive city skyline I’ve ever seen! I did enjoy the city, and I was only here for 2 days... I don’t think I could live there. It was also the most enormous city, beyond what I could imagine. I’m talking HUGE! There was also an old part to Shanghai which was incredible…

@sunsethunter

Guess the city! Do you know where this is? As my weekly theme is “cities, skylines and sunsets”, I wanted to share some photos of another city that I enjoyed. Shanghai was my previous post and although the skyline of this city isn’t quite as impressive, there is definitely a very significant landmark here! Hint - it’s in the 4th picture ;) I do much prefer posting nature photography as it’s my vibe, but I have enjoyed spending some time in few cities. Let me know if you can…

@sunsethunter

Good night noise fam! Here is my favourite ‘city sunset’ from San Francisco! It actually caught me by surprise... I had eaten some food and was walking the other way, and randomly turned around to this brilliant sight! It only lasted a few minutes due to the angle of the sun but wow it was cool! I hope you all enjoy this photo as much as myself! Peace and love to you all, have a great day :)

@sunsethunter

Good morning to you all! Also, good evening/night to some of you too!:) here is my last photo I wanted to share of the Golden Gate Bridge during sunset :) It’s a wonderful landmark and the Surrounding coastlines are very beautiful! ‘‘Twas a great trip! My weekly theme is still ‘cities, skylines and sunsets’ and coming up soon will be some from Italy :) Peace and love!:)

@sunsethunter

To the moon! 🚀 🌕 Any moon lovers out there? So here’s my last shot of San Francisco (I think I’ve said that before haha) but here is the bay with the beautiful moon on display! We could do with another moon shot soon haha, I think it’s inevitable for the not so distant future! Also, NASA plan on landing humans back on the moon in 2024/2025 - does anyone think that would be possible? I hope they do because that would be awesome to see! How about a future mars mission... crazy…

@sunsethunter

Matera, Italy 🇮🇹 Here are a few shots of the beautiful Matera, and ancient city in south Italy (basilicata). There are lots of ancient cave dwellings here... actually not quite ancient, but pretty old! You can’t quite see in the photos, but the rocky faces have caves carved into them where people used to live. It’s very fascinating to see and explore! You can go inside and see what the homes were like :) I have a few more posts from italy coming up :) Peace and love to you…

@sunsethunter

Streets of Matera, Italy 🇮🇹 Following on from my previous post, here’s a few more from the streets!:) plus the cathedral! I’ll post some from inside too as there was some original ancient artworks! It was fading but amazing!:) Hope everyone is having an awesome day!:) peace and love

@sunsethunter

Good morning noise fam!:) Here’s one of my favourite street shots from the streets of Matera in southern Italy 🇮🇹 I love the contrasts and colours with the sky :) the architecture all throughout Italy is gorgeous! Loved it :) Peace and love to you all :)

@sunsethunter

Salvador Dali - Melting Clocks I saw this when exploring Matera. There was a Dali exhibition on and there were lots sculptures around the city which was great! I didn’t end up going to his exhibition, but I have been to his in France and I’m a bit fan of his work! Any other Dali fans here? Peace and love!

@sunsethunter

New guitar video! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSXjeNCqKQc Yo, Noise fam!:) I've just made another guitar video - click the YouTube link above if you want to watch it :) my arm is starting to get better now I can play a little more each day :) I'll be trying to post weekly guitar videos to my youtube... it's a love of mine! I love music! This is a song by Avenged Sevenfold. It's a beautiful song called So Far Away which is dedicated to their drummer the Rev who passed…

@sunsethunter

Matera cathedral 🇮🇹 internal beauty! I posted a cathedral yesterday and mentioned I would post a few from inside, well, here it is :) the detail was just mesmerising! It truly was stunning. Many cathedrals are, especially in Italy. The last picture is some ancient artwork that has slowly been restored. Peace and love to you all!:) I’m shutting off for the night :) Feel free (not begging haha) to check out my previous post - I post guitar videos, so if you like music and want…

@sunsethunter

The beautiful streets of Matera, Italy 🇮🇹 My last few photos of my time in the ancient Matera. It was a beautiful place with amazing history, and made for a fun explore! I love the cobble stone streets and white/sand buildings. Lots are actually carved out of the rock which makes Matera very unique :) Peace and love to you all

@sunsethunter

Beautiful Italian sunset, Puglia 🇮🇹 Here’s the view I had from my dads roof at his place in Italy. He has a flat roof so it’s a great spot to check out the view and also bring the telescope up to at night! This was the view from In front of me and behind, it’s lovely as you can see the moon out in the second photo!:) Hope you’re all having an amazing Sunday!:)

@sunsethunter

Ostuni and Lecce, Italy 🇮🇹 To finish off my weekly theme of “cities, skylines and sunsets” I’m sharing my last few of some beautiful Italian architecture:) the first 4 photos are in Ostuni, also known as the white city for it’s beautiful white buildings that really stand out :) and the final picture is from an amazing church in Lecce, further down south in Italy :) The architecture is superb! As I am half Italian and my dad lives in Italy, it will always be part of me! My…

@sunsethunter

Good night to you all :) My weekly theme has ended and my new theme of ‘greenery’ starts tomorrow! I’ll be posting forests, trees, jungles, and hikes where I’m surrounded by green nature! Oh, and I’ll sneak a few sunsets in here and there of course! Have a brilliant Sunday, keep positive and smile! :) peace and love

@sunsethunter

Crown Shyness 🌳 Good morning world of noise!:) I am sharing my first photo for my weekly theme ‘greenery’. This photo was taken in the Waikato, here in New Zealand and is a brilliant example of the natural phenomena called crown shyness. This is where the tops of trees give each other space and will not touch. This could be to limit spread of certain leaf eating bacteria or to limit damage in windy areas. Most common amongst trees of the same species. This was great to see…

@sunsethunter

Kahikatea trees, New Zealand 🇳🇿 The first picture are of some young kahikatea trees (see my previous post for young adults and crown shyness). These are one of the tallest trees in NZ - actually, the tallest kahikatea is 68m and the tallest in NZ! Most trees have now been removed for farming, all over the past 100 years.... but protected sites are very common now. Second picture is the dense bush (refer to previous post to see inside) and the third picture are the huge and…

@sunsethunter

The Kaori tree! New Zealand 🇳🇿 Can you spot me in that second photo? I’m sure you can, but that gives you an indication of just how huge these kaori trees can grow! It’s more about the width than the overall height. But this tree I am standing next to is about 150 years old, and these trees are known to live up to (and over) 1000 years... Did you know that the location of the oldest kaori tree in New Zealand is only known by a few people? This is to protect it! There is an…

@sunsethunter

Tree Church :) Waikato, New Zealand 🇳🇿 Isn’t this beautiful! The lovely tree church is a great destination to explore the lovely gardens and observe the brilliant tree church itself! It’s a stunning place to see in real life :) I loved it very much! It’s a great venue for weddings, and other events. The gardens were lovely with lots of flowers and a pond with ducks. It’s a great place :) This weekly theme is greenery so I hope you’re all enjoying my green posts so far :D…

@sunsethunter

Views over The Mighty Waikato :) 🇳🇿 Good night noise fam :) here are some views I have taken from over the Waikato, where I live! Lots of hikes up!:) home to NZ’s biggest river (picture 3) The Waikato is the ‘flattest’ region in New Zealand, yet it still has the Pirongia mountain range which is 1000m tall (picture 4 and 5) and is close to Te Aroha (1,200m). But the flat plane where the river runs through! I live about 1 minute walk from the river - you can actually see my…

@sunsethunter

Mount Te Aroha, New Zealand 🇳🇿 Good morning noise world! Here is the beautiful Mt Te Aroha, part of the Kaimai ranges in the Bay of Plenty :) this follows on from my last post as you can see these off in the distance :) they’re a very long range, spanning about a 1/4 of the north island, and lots of great hikes and views!:) the summit is just under 1,000m. I hope you’re all having a wonderful day, good night and good morning to many of you!:) peace and love to you all :) My…

@sunsethunter

The New Zealand Silver Fern Here is the silver fern! Just saying, this was on the floor I didn’t take it from the plant. The fern leaves grow huge and I often refer to them as umbrellas! I’ll show you why in a later post :) This is the New Zealand symbol - you’ll see it on the all blacks rugby shirt, NZ cricket team, netball team is called the silver ferns. It’s the ‘unofficial’ flag of NZ. The Māori (indigenous natives of NZ) relate this plant to strength, power and…

@sunsethunter

A Silver Fern umbrella, and a sea of ferns! New Zealand 🇳🇿 It was so great to hear than many of you liked my last post, and that it was the first time you’d seen a silver fern :) that made me happy I could share it with you all! I mentioned that they can get huge, so here’s me standing underneath one... I call these umbrellas! It’s hard to see the true colour here due to the trees surrounding. The second pictures shows just how common the fern is here in NZ. The silver ferns…

@sunsethunter

Shades of green, North Island, New Zealand 🇳🇿 The first picture is blue lake in rotorua! It’s one of my favourite spots to go in the summer, as there’s some great walks and the water is lovely to swim in! It’s actually quite warm in the summer! I go biking nearby and then cool off in the lake :) I love the shades of light green ferns and dark green Coniferous trees :) The second picture is Wairere falls! This is actually 158m high! I’m very far away so it’s hard to gauge…

@sunsethunter

Smile :) Good morning to you all from New Zealand!:) remember to smile everyone!:) did you know smiling reduces stress and boosts your mood? One study even states that one smile can positively stimulate the brain as much as 2000 bars of chocolate 🍫 woah! 😀 keep the smiles coming 😀 So I was hiking karangahake gorge and came across this smiling fern! Have a great day/Morning/evening/night everyone!

@sunsethunter

Greens of Rotorua, New Zealand 🇳🇿 Rotorua is known for its geothermal activity and it’s huge forests! Here’s some pictures of a typical forest walkway, you can see the ferns here! There are also redwoods in NZ (second picture), they are not native but due to the volcanic soil they grow faster than in the US! The final picture came out different to how I expected but I love the outcome as the light rays slicing through on the huge tree! I believe it’s an old rimu :) Peace and…

@sunsethunter

The East!:) green coastline :) 🍄 New Zealand’s coasts are very green! Well, the sand is either white or black (or an orange/gold in one spot!) but the land surrounding is always very luscious! The first picture shows the coromandel, looking out over the islands! The second is a few hours later but looking right behind me - I like this shot for the clouds and the strong green/blue/white contrast :) The final picture isn’t green, but I wanted to add it! I often see these…

@sunsethunter

The volcanic greens of Rotorua :) I mentioned in my last post that Rotorua is known for its geothermal activity and luscious green forests, and here we go! The first pictures shows a lake that is green from the geothermal minerals heating it up! It’s actually very deep... I can’t remember the exact depth but I think it was 80m+! The other two are overlooking the largest geothermal spring! You might be able to see some steam pouring off of the nearby rocks. You’ll also be…

@sunsethunter

The Goblin Forest! Part 1 Deep in the volcanic grounds of Mt Taranaki lives the goblin forest! This unique landscape exists under special conditions... it survived a major volcanic eruption 🌋 and now thrives! The volcanic ash/soil led to all of the green moss and lichen to grow all over the trees, which were so ancient most of them survived. So here is the unique nature of this forest! It was so cool to roam through and is my favourite forest here in NZ!:) This will be in 3…

@sunsethunter

The Goblin Forest! Part 2 This first picture is one of the largest trees the survived the most recent volcanic eruption 🌋 it was buried over half way with lava, and what we are seeing is just the top half of the tree! It was able to survive the extreme conditions:) I loved seeing this! It was awesome! The second picture is more of the amazing forest, it’s a long walk that end up taking you through many streams and waterfalls - I will post a video later for those who would…
