Volcanic Valley, Rotorua Steaming Lake! This is the largest geothermal spring in New Zealand (I think even in the world). You can see the steam pouring off of the surface and the temperature can reach over 80C! So it’s hot! You can also see the steam coming out of the rock faces. Also, a faint upside down rainbow was present, it’s hard to make out though! It’s hard to gauge size from this photo but this was big! The streams feed down and a lovely walk out to a crater lake where a mini boat tour operates :) This weeks theme is still water (until Saturday) and I still have some more geothermal shots, lakes, springs and more!
