The volcanic greens of Rotorua :) I mentioned in my last post that Rotorua is known for its geothermal activity and luscious green forests, and here we go! The first pictures shows a lake that is green from the geothermal minerals heating it up! It’s actually very deep... I can’t remember the exact depth but I think it was 80m+! The other two are overlooking the largest geothermal spring! You might be able to see some steam pouring off of the nearby rocks. You’ll also be able to pick out some ferns and a range of NZ plant life :) Coming up next... The Goblin Forest!
