Radiated Brute For Three!!!

It was a fine sunny day at Splinterlands. Tarsa, the little red riding hood of Splinterlands was out with her friends and was playing basketball. They were playing a game of 3-on-3.

Although Tarsa looks like a charming little girl, her personality is not quite on that level. She's very hot-headed and quick to throw tantrums and feat. The opponents scored a basket and she grabbed the ball and threw it toward her friend the Radiated Brute.

"You call yourself a Brute but you're nothing but a clumsy girl!" says Tarsa.

Everyone stopped and the ball was dropped and it rolled towards the gate of the basketball court. It stopped on its track when the intruder that crashed the gate stepped on it. It was the Obsidian and three of her crew.

"What's the bid idea?" Tarsa shouted.

"What? Are you scared little Tarsa? Why don't you play us? All of your guys versus three of mine? That's an enticing offer don't you think?" the Obsidian teased.

The nerves appeared visible on Tarsa's head and it was evident that she was fuming mad as gusts of smoke came out from her ears.

"What'd you say? Alright. We play to the death!" Tarsa exclaimed.

"That's how I like it." the Obsidian agreed.

And that's how the match started.

It was a battle with 22 mana points.

Tarsa played the summoner, or in this case, the coach.

Playing as the point guard, she chose to place the Antoid Platoon in the first position.

In a low mana allocation game, these little miscreants can spell the difference. Coming in with 2 armor points and 3 for HP, they could really be a good cover for the Radiated Brute that comes in on the second position.

Tarsa tapped in the Radiated Brute to play the off-guard. She has the ability "Reach" so she could make shots from out of her usual position. She can make shots even if she's from the back. And of course, with Tarsa as the head of the team, she also benefits from the additional buff.

Coming in on the wing, Serpentine Spy plays as another wing player.

In the third position, the Serpentine can be a good cutter with its "Opportunity" abilities. Looking for the weakest defender from the other team, it will attack it relentlessly.

On the fourth position, the Chaos Agent mans the field.

Although it offers not much offense, the Chaos Agent gives much-needed support on defense. It gives the team a little bit more defense with its 1 HP. It also gives the whole team a cushion because he takes the hits from opportunistic enemies.

Last but definitely not the least, Tenyii Striker.

He plays the center and takes all the hits from the back. He is also the centerpiece of their offense with 2 damage. He attacks the paint and provides Sneak attack to surprise the enemy's lineup.

All the monsters worked well together with the Radiated Brute since they are all bonded by the same attack type.

Tip-off!

Tarsa's team hit the floor running and as soon as the ball hit the ground, they were on the offensive. Obisidian's team didn't stand a chance. In the first round of the games, they took advantage of the overwhelming edge they had. They double-teamed two of the opponents and the Tenyii Striker marked everyone who comes in last.

Obsidian's team was crushed in the first round. They cried and begged for a rematch. Tarsa agreed, and it was a best-of-three match. The second round didn't look so different from the first. Obsidian's team was obliterated and Tarsa stood over her while the Obsidian was groveling on the hardcourt.

If you didn't appreciate the way I recalled the battle, you can see the whole match here for yourself:

My strategy worked well in that battle. First, I have a really good and complete lineup. Also, my team was faster and we were able to hit harder than the opponents.

My first encounter with the Radiated Brute was a confusing one. I was confused about which tank I should use if I would include her in the battles. She requires quite a bit of mana and the usual tank for Fire Splinters already costs much. This time, I opted to use another monster for the tank and it worked.

I like the Radiated Brute because she is sturdy and that Reach ability can make a bit of difference on the battlefield.
