Kulu Swimhunter at the Beach

Kelya Frendul was hanging out at the beach with her entourage one fine day. She wasn't sunbathing or anything cool like that. She was just hanging out by the sea to reimagine her powers and reconnect with her old world to make her weapons of destruction better.

She was walking leisurely by the shore when someone called out to her.

"B!tch! Your big fat hair is covering the sun. Get out of the way" Obsidian called out to her urging her to move out.

"I was just passing by!" Kelya Frendul replied.

"Can't you see I'm sunbathing here? I need my perfect tan." Obsidian said.

"Tan you say? You're blacker than a lump of burnt coal." she retaliated.

"Grrr. What did you say? Prepare to die!" Obsidian screamed at her as she cast a spell that summoned several monsters.

And thus begins a battle of the two respectable royalties:

Kelya's slaves were quick to fall into formation and they tried to protect her.

She cast her own spell and granted everyone additional armor and additional speed. She looked particularly toward the Kulu Swimhunter which she trusted with her life. They work well together because she makes the Kulu Swimhunter faster and a little sturdier while it protects her.

The Serpent of Eld stretched its long body from the water to cover everyone. It served as a tank in the first position. The serpent also works well with the Kulu because it shields everyone while the Kulu Swimhunter does its damage from range.

Flying around in the second position, Ice Pixie faced the challenge to be an auxiliary attacker. She hovers over everyone while trying to cover everyone else with suppressive fire together with the Kulu Swimhunter.

The Kulu Swimhunter follows the lead of the Ice Pixie and tries to take out the opponents from ranged. It throws whatever it could get its tentacle on and it sometimes uses its tentacles as weapons too.

Running around in the middle is the Scavo Hireling. It provides support to everyone who needs assistance. With its ability, it could repair broken armor and shields.

Hanging back in the fourth position, Merdaali Guardian protects the tank from behind. She heals whoever is in the first position. She is well suited for a team with mid-HP attackers, just like the Kulu Swimhunter. She replenishes their health a little bit, so they could last longer in battle.

Lurking behind is the Deeplurker. Although it has a melee attack and is positioned at the back, it can attack enemies with the lowest HP from the rear. Deeplurker and Kulu Swimhunter makes for a great tandem because one is a melee attacker and Kulu can cover it while it attacks.

The waves rested and the dust settled down. The monsters' lineup was revealed and they all faced each other ready to rip each other's throats apart.

The enemies focused almost all their attacks on the Serpent of Eld but it gladly took all the hits it could take before it went down. Kelya's armor blessing helped for a bit but the enemies' attacks were just relentless and they made it rain down on them.

The Deeplurker and the Kulu Swimhunter took advantage of the opportunities that the Serpent of Eld made for them and they made every hit count. They made sure that the enemy will feel their wrath. Although their numbers have been depleted they managed to pull down the enemies to the water and they drowned them mercilessly.

Kelya Frendul held the Obsidian by her hair as she plunged her down into the water again one final time.

And of course, if you would like to see the battle without my colorful commentary, you can see the video here:

I think that my strategy worked mainly because I was able to hit faster than the opposing side. The additional armor also played out well because I had Scavo Hireling on my side to constantly repair them. Also, the enemy didn't focus on magic attacks so my armor really made a difference.

I liked how I used the Kulu Swimhunter. Although it has no additional ability, its stats were decent and it's a fair monster to have on your deck.
