Shucks!! I forgot to wear my fitness watch before I started my brisk walk and only realised after walking for 40 minutes. So, today, I have to walk another 40 minutes in order for my watch to clock the 15k steps, my daily minimum. ๐

In this photo, we are looking towards Ipoh Oldtown, and we can see Kinta River and the connecting bridge. While Ipoh Oldtown is more popular among tourists, if one were to put up at this hotel, he gets to experience the best of both sections of Ipoh.

This is the view that greets me every trip and each time, I stop to admire the view, even if I may be rushing to meet my appointment at 8am. My last trip to KL was in Jan 2020. In general, raccoons are very shy and won't go near strangers, so they need a lot of time to build trust. They are nocturnal animals, and only come out to feed in the night. Although the raccoon hair looks scratchy, it is actually very soft. Cute and cuddly, don't let their appearance fool you, as they can be very fierce and scratch withโฆ

Inundated with messages from clients and co-workers early this morning, before my "official" work hour (10am). We just don't fancy getting wet. I am the same as well. Here's a scene captured, before the rain started to pour. Dark clouds were already floating towards me and the wind was curling. There are no cars here, so people either walk or cycle, or they can hitch a ride on the boat (usually fishing boats) out to sea, if they know the locals. There really is nothing much to "do" here but just walk around and see how the locals lead their lives. However, Pulau Ketam is paradise for those who love to fish, or simply to eat fresh seafood. The weather is soooo hot lately that I am missing icy desserts such as this one, which we locals call ABC (for Air/Ais Batu Campur in Malay or mixed/shaved ice in English). With dining out unavailable due to lockdown, indulging in ABC will have to wait. Mixing it myself just doesn't taste the same. I can never get the quantity of the ingredients right! #FoodPhotography

I visited the nursery sometime ago and took a photo of this beautiful rose bloom. I love roses but my father doesn't allow me to plant it, as he says it's a lot of work. Well, I guess this will be my retirement project one day. Ahahaha!!!
This was from my visit to Petra, Jordan. While the entrance ticket for foreigners come with a "free" horse ride for one way, anyone who fancies a horse-carriage ride or camel ride has to pay a separate fee. Petra is beautiful, of course, but what marred my visit was that I couldn't tip my driver according to my wish. He regaled me with 101 sob stories and made me feel guilty for not tipping him enough!
