𝐈𝐭 𝐚𝐒𝐧'𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲, 𝐒𝐭'𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 I was going through some photos of my Nepal trip (May/June 2019) and came across this photo. This teenager was engaged by my team to carry our luggage and supplies to our destination, Samagaun, along the Manaslu Circuit Trek.  Our helicopter landed at a lower land village three villages away, and we had to make the way on foot. Although the helicopter could easily land at Samagaun, the reason we had to walk was to allow time for our body to acclimatise to the altitude. After posing for photographs with our heavy backpack, pretending to trek up the trail, my friend and I quickly passed our backpacks to our porters. We were caught by surprise when people piled BOTH of our bags on her back! That's at least 40 - 50 kg in total.  I was dying just carrying my 20 kg large backpack. I still had a smaller one to carry by myself. The funny thing was that as we trekked throughout the day, my bag got smaller and smaller, because other members of the entourage helped me to carry MY bag, swapping their lighter bag with mine..... At the end of the trail upon arrival at Samagaun, I wasn't carrying ANY bag at all. Damn, was I struggling..... #Travel
