𝑳𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 My previous post about putting my feet up over the long weekend reminded me of this time when I also put my feet up. At the time, I was working for a wealthy guy on a project. He's based in Penang, while I am in Ipoh. Whenever he needed me to be at his office, he would send a Mercedes Benz car with a driver to pick me, and put me up at the executive suite of a hotel near his office. One time, he had to go to Johor Bahru to conduct a motivational talk, and I was invited to go along. I had no business there because the talk was in Mandarin while I am a banana. But I still went along as this boss was someone who liked people who made the best use of opportunities that came their way. From Ipoh, I went to Penang, where he and his entourage, which now included me, flew to Johor Bahru. At the airport, we were picked up by a coach, and went on a sightseeing tour of the city, as the talk was only on the following day. The next day after the talk, my boss, his entourage, myself and the participants who paid extra fee for an exclusive Q&A session, boarded his luxury yacht which was parked at the nearby Puteri Harbour. We sailed out to the Straits of Johor. After taking a group photo, I went upstairs (not sure of the terminology) while my boss conducted his Q&A session with the participants. I promptly fell asleep and only woke up when we reached Puteri Harbour again. The following day, I saw photos of this Q&A published on social media. I was surprised at the activities that were conducted onboard, which I heard nothing of. What a luxurious "holiday" that was!
