My Wedding Day

Today is my wedding day. My parents are so excited and happy but at the same time sad because I told them that we will leave in our house and live separately. Actually, before planning my marriage, my soon to be wife and I already planned to build a house, the construction has already started and the place we chose is far away from here. But for the time being while our house is not finished, we will stay here.

It’s 5:00 AM now, I’m just lying here in my bed. I message my fiancé, greet her good morning with I love you and tell her that I can’t wait to see her walking in the aisle. She responded immediately, well I’m not surprised as she was a morning person. She replied telling me how happy and nervous she was. Even me is nervous and so happy. Who wouldn’t if you marry the person you love, that you want to build a future with? It is such a nice feeling that we had faced so many challenges in life and now here we are, getting stronger and will be as one.

Time to get ready...

At 7:00AM I decided to take a bath and be ready. My sister did my makeup, a simple one because I don’t need it much unlike my fiancé. After getting my makeup done, I go out of my room and check my parents if they are ready so we can go to church. But then I saw them in the living room and I can say that they are ready. When I got closer, mom told me that they are just waiting for me haha. I said sorry and asked them if we can go now since it will start at 10:30AM.

We arrived at church exactly at 10:00AM, I know a few more minutes my bride will be here. So, we waited patiently, later on there was sudden silence while playing a song and I saw the maid of honor walking in the aisle followed by a ring bearer and a flower girl, then my bride was escorted by her father. The happiness I felt was overflowing then I found myself crying. As she was approaching together with her father, I saw her crying too.

This is it, pansit! XD

Few more steps, I extended my hand to my father-in-law, and got my bride’s hand. Then priest started the wedding mass followed by readings from the Bible. Afterward, father addressed us, then we exchanged vows and rings. Offertory comes next then prayers, sign of peace and holy communion. And the most awaited moment, the kiss then priest gave us the final blessing. We walk down the aisle towards where we came in while flower girls sprinkle petals.

When we got out, we headed to the venue. Family, relatives and friends gave us gifts, some of them gave messages for us and so on. The event went well.

After three months…

My wife is still not pregnant as we planned to finish building our house first. And thank God, it is almost finished. Because we agreed that when she got pregnant, she would leave work to not be stressed out.

Speaking of work, this is my 1 and half year in the company and today we will celebrate one of our officemate promotions, he has been for almost 5 years. They decided that we will go to the bar. So, I asked my wife if it’s okay, she just said yes and told me to enjoy it. After work we headed to the bar and when we got there, they just ordered drinks and joined the dance floor while I stayed on the couch. I am the only one who is married, that's why.

I’m drinking when someone sat beside me. He introduced himself and asked my name. I asked him why he approached me and he told me that he thought that I might be lonely and needed a companion. I told him that I am with my friends.

But then he still talked and shared how he was stressed in his job. I just listen to him and cheer him up. After 20 minutes of talking, my office mates are still dancing. Then suddenly this man stood up and asked me to go with him because he will introduce someone. At first, I was so hesitant because he is a complete stranger but I felt like I knew him for a long time. So, I agreed and followed him.

Here we are! He shouted.

We are on a rooftop. I closed my eyes and felt the blowing wind.

I felt so much comfortable.

This story is getting longer again argh. So, I should cut it here haha. Sorry not sorry. XD
