We Have To Fight Our Fears
You can relate and reflect if I say that most of us have fears. Some people will find it weird, but they cannot control their emotions toward things and situations. Some people here have already experienced anxiety and scared when in a position that shakes their inner core.
Maybe they are not a big deal to others, but I believe that not everyone has the same courage and strength in facing fears. And it is my inspiration to compose another piece from me. Luckily, there are tips and techniques that we can practice to lessen the anxiety we are feeling. We can cope with them by trying the ways below.
Take a time out.
There are days when we feel drained and flooded by fear and anxiety. It would be best to breathe, take a break, and clear our minds. We can calm down and rest by having time out from what makes us feel scared. Start with a few distractions, like walking around the neighborhood and chitchatting with people in the community. Also, you can prepare a cup of tea and think about positive things while sipping.
Do not try so hard to be perfect.
Sometimes we want to fit in and try so hard to be enough and perfect in someone else’s eyes. We are afraid to experience rejection and be left out. Embrace the reality that life can also cause stress. There are bad days, and it is normal for everyone. Also, there are setbacks that we need to do because life is messy sometimes. We cannot control things to be perfect for us.
Learn to face your fears.
We avoid the situations and things that scare us, and it only causes us to be afraid more. It would be best if we learn to face them. Some people mentioned that their fears faded away when they practiced facing them. It requires patience and courage, but remember to do it one at a time. The journey will not be easy, but you will get used to it in the following days.
Think about the worst.
We can only defeat our fears if we think about the worst. You can start by imagining scarier situations. Some say that the fear we feel will run away once we start chasing them and not walking away from them. I think it could be one of the best solutions that we can do for ourselves.
Try to imagine and visualize a happy place.
Sometimes we are like kids who are afraid of the dark. We always call our moms for help and imagine that they are holding the light. It is also similar to having fears. We can count on visualizing a happy place with our loved ones. Close your eyes and embrace safety and calmness in your mind.
As for me, I imagine myself walking on a beautiful beach and playing with the waves whenever I feel sad or scared. Also, you can count on happy memories, even if they are from your childhood days. Feel the positive vibes and let the happiness soothe you. You can achieve relaxation out of your fear of doing it.
These are the things that you can do to fight the fear inside you. We all know that it is not easy, but it is never too late to try. You can benefit a lot from trying to chase away the fears. Let me know if this composition helped.
