A hint of golden mist on the hill tops this morning to add a touch of beauty to the beginning of October. Unfortunately I'm down with a cold and cough and my nose feels congested like that misty hill top. It feels like it's going to be a humid and warm day.

@a2j

Why are these weirdo alphabets following me? I had posted about 'ecks why zee' more than 3 weeks ago and how bizarre it was: https://noise.cash/post/15v9p3mp Today I got the same CAPTCHA but on a different site. Last time it was cointiply, this time it was CoinPayU. Last time it was SolveMedia, but this time it was HCaptcha. The font and color were different. I think this alphabet monster is stalking me!!

@a2j

I was away from home for 4 days and noticed that one of my table roses appears to be infested. Four days was all it took for it for the plant to be almostdestroyed! Is there any hope of salvaging it? Please let me know if you know of something that will help get rid of this infestation without killing the plant and allow it to survive. It looks terribly gross! I've just taken it aside and placed it on another corner of the balcony away from the other plants for now.

The lonely gold season cup. I started this season late and so have a very empty mining room at RollerCoin. The lone gold season cup is stuck high on a dusty shelf at the back of the room. It serves no rhyme or reason and was given without any fanfare or celebration. It's like a consolation prize for not purchasing the season pass and not being able to reach level 16 which would have given 15 RLT. I will enjoy this cup when I become a grandad and can show my grandkids this…

BitsTRX coupon codes and payment proof Join here: https://bitstrx.com/refer/user/1405 BitsTRX is another new faucet /PTC /offers site. Lots of great earnings as they are starting off. What I've realised with these new instantpay to faucetpay sites is that they have high and frequent faucet claims initially and you need to capitalise on this and withdraw as much as possible. Once more members join, the earnings start dwindling. Use these coupons immediately after joining to…

Coffee blooming! It's not just flowers that bloom - coffee does too. This is a photo of the coffee in my Aeropress blooming in anticipation! Roasting coffee apparently produces carbon dioxide that is trapped in the beans and is slowly released over weeks. When these beans are freshly ground and then brewed the gas escapes quickly over a few minutes. That's what I see when I start pouring hot water over the freshly ground coffee - a few bubbles and fizz that sputter out.…

@a2j

How often do you see ecommerce sites like Amazon make mistakes? Here is an image with a gross miscalculation that makes this look like the most expensive floor cleaner ok this planet! 1.8 litre pack 196 Rs. It's not the easiest of maths to calculate cost per liter of floor cleaner, but Amazon somehow figured out that this is 196000 rs. per liter of floor cleaner. Duh! Should I buy it? Maybe my floors will turn to gold if I clean them with this!

@a2j

Goodbye ceiling fan! It's not gonna be a good weekend when the ceiling fan is gone! It malfunctioned today - was making a whirring sind without turning at all. Got the electrician to have a look and he said the bearing was gone. They'll get a replacement only by Monday. That means a weekend without the fan. Unfortunately we will need to use the airconditioner, but that means a spike in our power bill. Thankfully the weather is not to hot and we will use the airconditioner…

@a2j

How do you find the new CAPTCHA on RollerCoin? They are abstract art and not easy to recognise on my mobile. To make things worse, even if you get them right there is an error, try again message or it just pops up again. The older sliding verification was much better. This one takes me 2 to 4 attempts and re-attempts before it verifies me as human even if I got it right all the time. #Rollercoin

@a2j

Now, I know they try to make it easy for us humans to prove that we know maths, but JungleTV CAPTCHA seems to take this to a new low! Or is it a new high. Or are the folks at JungleTV trying to differentiate between bots and animals? The math is too complexly easy to come up with answers!

@a2j

Has anyone used the URL shortener from CryptoTab that apparently also pays? It's called cb.click and is part of the CryptoTab family for earning Bitcoins. I've tried it and got a few 100 visitors but absolutely no earnings from it so far. Do any of you know how it works and what the possible pay rates are?

@a2j

Sunday morning and I'll leave you with some gorgeous scenic beauty from India as Sheldon Bangera sings the cover version of the popular worship song "Reckless Love" (Cory Asbury). https://youtu.be/Edyj7H9yEsE The fusion version features a lot of Indian instruments like tabla and has some Indian dance (Bharatanatyam) woven into the video. Enjoy the music and the video and have a blessed Sunday

@a2j

Slaying it with Madras Mud! Slay coffee is the brand Madras Mud is the blend. Madras is the home of filter coffee and this blend apparently tries to mimic that flavour without using chicory. Unfortunately the pack they sent was an old roast - almost four months old and lacked the freshness and aroma that I was expecting. An average start to my coffee week. PS: They did a full refund when I lodged a complaint #Coffee

A haircut.... finally My wife and I decided to go to the salon this afternoon - my pandemic hair was getting out of control and she wanted to get hers cut w little shorter. It was a visit with mixed feelings. The salon was empty, so we avoided crowds. But safety precautions were very minimal. The employees walked around without masks and the temperature check and handwashing station were unused. To top it all, they were not allowed to run the airconditioner and the whole…

@a2j

I was surfing PTCs at FaucetCrypto and was zapped when I saw this ad - an advertisement for a cheating bot to automatically claim from faucets. Can't believe that such jerks exist and advertise so boldly. They just kill the fun for is who want to get a few cents honestly. Program owners spend so much time and money trying to get honest members and idiots like this pop up to wreck them too. Reported and hope the site gets pulled down.

@a2j

What do you use your microwave for? I've realised that my microwave is the most expensive food and beverage (re)heater I could use. I use only 2 buttons on it - the start and the stop. All those other fancy buttons that can adjust settings to cook, defrost, etc are redundant - I have never used any of them in any of the microwaves I have bought. Do you use your microwave oven for anything other than to heat and reheat stuff? Picture shows water getting heated in my office…

@a2j

Is there an image upload size limit for noise? Looks like there is. Most of my images are 2 to 5 MB and I have not faced any problems in uploading them except at times when muinternet is crappy or noise has some server issues. Today I clicked a photo on high res that was 12 mb. I tried uploading it for a discussion and guess what? Noise told me it was above the size limit. I guess there is a size limit to uploads. Does anyone know what this limit is?

@a2j

A few of the FaucetCrypto wallets have filled and you can request payment now. The last week saw the FC wallets mostly empty and I had to wait to request payment. Today a lot are available. See the screenshots to see what all crypto are available. I had requested BCH payment on 29th September and got paid on 3rd October. At that time BCH had low funds - so that may have been the reason for the delay. Today it says BCH is filled! I am attaching a screenshot of my payment too.…

@a2j

It had rained when I was at work and I missed it. I only realised it when I got into the bike stand to grab my scooter to get home. There was a sprinkling of rain drops on the helmet. The drizzle on the seat had already dried. So it must have been a very light and brief rain. I usually can see the weather through windows at my workplace, but I totay missed this one! Let's see if the night holds more rainfall.

@a2j

It's the end of the season but not the end of the road for RollerCoin. Their latest update makes you want to hoard those RLT and DOGEs in preparation for the next season. They are doing 2x RLT promotion this week again - maybe a good option to accumulate some to get some miners for the next season. And next week they have promised 4x DOGE points at the start of the new season which makes you wonder what the next season is going to be about! #Rollercoin

@a2j

The difference between blue and grey - the difference between sunny and rainy! Over the last month we have had a mixed start on several days and today was one of those days again. One side of the morning sky was bright and blue while the other side was grey and ominous. You can notice it in both photographs, but it was even more obvious when I saw it in reality - the advantage of being able to see with the eye what canot be captured through the lens of a mobile phone. Let's…

@a2j

It looks like much lesser people are playing RollerCoin now after the season got over. After the extra power that I had expired, my rank was hanging between 26000 and 28000 - and I struggled to mantain it at that level. This week, I've easily got it to better than 20000 with little effort. Have to maximise this week to get more earnings to try and get a miner - but with just 0.8 RLT as my balance that looks tough!! Anyway, let me enjoy the game. No pressure! Are you still…

@a2j

Yesterday I missed noticing the rain at work. Today the rain was steadier and harder and it was hard to miss! The service balcony was drenched and for some weird reason there was a plastic blue ball in it - wonder how on earth it got there!! Made for an interesting view everytime I crossed that window! The water drops clinging to the railing bars was a constant reminder of the rains. I hope it stops for a bit so that I can get back home dry!

@a2j

Does shaving cream 'expire'? My shaving cream can seems to be lasting a looooong time. I saw the bottom and realised that the manufacture date was 3 years ago. And oooopsies... the u/b date (use by date) is this month. This got me wondering if the shaving cream wil actually expire after this. 'Use by' date generally means the product can still be used after this date - but I wonder whether there will be problems like skin irritation or a rougher shave. Should I chuck it or…

@a2j

ViveBTC is a quick way to make BCH through a faucet. Solve the short link, put in your faucetpay BCH wallet id, solve the CAPTCHA and you're done. https://cb.run/Vive It usually gives 200 Satoshi, but yesterday I got 500 Satoshi. Use it 3 times a day and withdraw instantly to your faucetpay account. This is an easy way to get a little BCH into your faucetpay. #Faucet

@a2j

Jungle TV just went berserk with the banano tips, playlist and skip wars!! Look at this! 19 ban for one video that was skipped and a couple of payments of about 5 bans. And a 11 ban now to top it all. All this while I was waiting to start work - between 8.27 and 8.40 AM by my local time. Not bad eh! Did you catch this wave? Have to switch off now to start work. Wonder if the war will continue. Drop in if you can!

@a2j

Do you remember that first ever audition from Susan Boyle that broke the internet more than 10 years ago? https://youtu.be/RxPZh4AnWyk She was 47 years old and nobody expected her to wow the audience with just the first line. "I dreamed a dream" was a great choice with it's clear vocals and vocal range and showcased her talent instantly. The judges almost dismissed her before she started, but we all know how far she got! Enjoy the song and don't forget to dream!!

@a2j

Do you remember the turing numbers on older PTC sites that were the tools to separate bots and humans - the sites that used the cash crusader script? They seem very old fashioned, but worked apparently. I visited an old PTC site after ages and hit the turing numbers again. The site is donkeymails and is still running, but as an ad redemption site only. It just felt toooooooo easy peasy!

@a2j

Where is your most visible birthmark / mole? I have a couple on my right forearm that are small but obviously visible. Since this is a common place to have a mole, noone ever actually notices it. Do you have any visible moles that can be seen easily? Bored on a Wednesday afternoon, so an offbeat question to while away the time before I get back to work in half an hour!

@a2j

Some PTC / faucet sites provide a little extra entertainment for free. A common problem in these sites is usually typos and unintentional words that make you smile. Coinoto is a great site for earning, but when you finish all the PTCs, this is the message that comes. "There is PTC Ad left" Duh! I guess what they wanted to say was that there was NO PTC ad left. One word got missed out. The crying emojis make it self explanatory though.

@a2j

Dark Star: Season 2 starts tomorrow and the teaser video is out. https://youtu.be/tJVPDK58Mf8 It looks like a space based theme if the teaser is actually related to the season. I wonder what the cost will be and what levels will be free stuff. I'm trying to build up my power a bit so that it helps earning or buying miners. Overall network Power is abysmally low now at 52 Eh/s which makes earning very less at this stage even though there are much fewer active players.…

The anticipation of pouring out the coffee after it is brewed and pressed on the Aeropress. There is something magical about the rich coffee that slithers out into my coffee cup or glass. The aroma that fills the room and slight sound of the trickle are the things that make me anticipate the moment that coffee is going to hit my palate and course through my veins! #Coffee

@a2j

What (scary) insect is this? I saw this on the floor of the parking lot as I was leaving for work. It was large - about the size of the a hand. It has mean looking pincers in the front and large wings. Imagine this flying at you at using its pincers to clamp onto your face! A swarm of this insect could be the theme for the next horror movie. (Un)fortunately it was either injureenor dead and was not moving at all. Do you know what insect this is?

@a2j

This is how community tipping works on JungleTV. It's a newish feature that allows anyone to increase the tips on a video that is playing. Part of this community tip goes back to the member who lined up the video. So it's a pretty nifty feature. Here are some screenshots of how it works. Have you ever used this feature or benefitted by it?!

@a2j

Is this the start of the next season? The site is down for maintenance and I think this is to get it set up for Season 2! I wonder what this holds for us! Are you also getting a sitewide maintenance error. Hold on.... #Rollercoin

@a2j

RollerCoin Ouch. Part 1. A lot of changes have happened in RollerCoin with season 2 and a lot of those changes have made me wince as I realise that earning potential has come down. The xp needed to level up are now much harder to get. Initially the game used to give 10, 20, 40 XP (for 25, 50 and 100 games played). That made a total of 70 XP earned for 150 games. Now you need to WIN not just play) 80 games each of 4 games to get 15 XP for each of the games. That is a minimum…

@a2j

Have you ever baked a theme cake? A dinosaur themed cake. No - it wasn't me. I have never baked a cake in my life. This is what my friend baked for her 3 year old son's birthday yesterday. It was yummy chocolate cake with fondant to make the top layer and all the dino related stuff. It looked and tasted awesome. The entire short party had a dinosaur theme. It was a short party and the kids took home the rest of the food to eat - just to stay safe.

Today there are 2 IPL cricket matches at the same time. Which one will you watch? 1. Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals 2. Sun Risers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians Both are important matches to decide who will enter the next stage. I wonder if both the matches will be exciting. #cricket #sports

@a2j

"Hello blue! This is yellow here......" Clear skies greeted this little flower and its friends on my balcony. I can imagine the conversation between these excited flowers, the sky, the wisps of clouds and the sun as it echoes off the hills on the horizon. They never get bored and probably have lots of fun things to say. What do you think they are talking about?

@a2j

We've reached 100 subscribers on this channel! Yeah! It's not the most active or most popular channel on noise, but it's good to see it slowly chug along. Do ask questions and answer other peoples queries. Be creative, be active and have a great time!

@a2j

Everybody said.... but nobody did. This is a fun song from decades ago and is sung Acapella - with no musical instruments. https://youtu.be/E1hNzHvR4s4 The band was famous and had a few albums which were also religious. This song has a humorous look at situations where people say things but when it comes to doing it, not many actually walk the talk! It's musically brilliant and one of the most popular songs that is still performed by many people .

@a2j

Season 2 is certainly harder, but my primary aim is to just enjoy the games and try to get some earnings on the side. The new tasks for XPs means you are forced to play some games you don't usually don't. Crypto Hamster is a disaster and I don't even want to attempt it now. But Token Surfer has been good. I went on a spree on this weekend and managed to complete 40 games for the bonus XP and also reached level 10. I guess it's fun to try out new games. I have rarely played…

Every morning - this is what wakes me up. Coffee brewed at home. And always two cups. One for me. One for my wife - blessed to wake her up with a cuppa and a kiss. The cup has changed with time - started off with mugs that broke and now down to glass tumblers, but the anticipation and romantic start to the day just keeps getting better. #Coffee

@a2j

It's called "Sun"day for a reason, eh? Bright sun, some brilliant blue to stare into with a touch of satisfying cloud formation - perfect way to start the week. And it's not too hot - very comfortable temperature inspite of the brilliant sun shining on us. October is a great month here.

@a2j

With the rains coming in intermittently, we have some cool visitors in the buildings we live in. This one was lounging on an orange wall on the corridor. When I brought the phone close to it to take a quick shot, it seemed to stare sternly at it as if to say, "Go away!" I left it as it was and when we returned 30 min later, it was on a yellow part of the wall. I wonder if it knows the difference between it's natural habitat and man-made buildings.

@a2j

Flowers, flowers everywhere! This little white flower blooms in adundance through the evening, but falls away overnight. So in the morning, a few of them are still seen on the plants, but a lot are on the ground - it feels like you're walking on a carpet of flowers. They still look nice and fresh even though they have fallen off. This series of random photos shows the flower in full bloom and a close up, a flower fallen into the leaves and more flowers on the pavement and…

Shikha Pandey - ball of the century to Alyssa Healey. https://odysee.com/@random:11/cricket1:5 This was in yesterday's T20 match between India and Australia women. After being hit for a four, Shikha bowled this beauty. It started swinging in and pitched well outside the off stump. It then swung and seamed further in and completely flummoxed Alyssa who was clean bowled. India still lost the match though... Shikha's celebration is terrific. She has had a tough time getting…

How do you remove grout between the bathroom floor tiles? I just scrub it and it obviously doesn't work. It's a mixture of dirt and hard water/soapscum stains. Is there any chemical or cleaner I can use or is there a technique to get it out easily? Or even better, is there a way to prevent this from accumulating? Let me know your suggestions please.

@a2j

A million shades of grey! It was a gloomy start to the day.... and that's just the weather. (My laptop also crashed - more about that later). There seems to be more than 50 shades of grey in the sky today. And the sun is barely able to peek through it. I hope it's just the weather that is gloomy and my day turns out better than that. But having said that, there is still a beauty and brilliance in those shades of grey that is abstract, het artistic.

@a2j

The blue screen of death. The laptop that I use at work crashed. I opened it when I came in and it had frozen at start up with the blue screen of death. Restarting it and going through all the options just made it restart and go to the blue screen. I've tried restoring, reaiting start up and also command prompt stuff from a youtube video. Nothing has helped. I'll just have to give it in to a tech shop for repairs I guess. Hope it gets done soon. It's an 8 year old laptop but…

@a2j

I'd posted a few days ago that noise has an image filesize limitation. https://noise.cash/post/18xpzk3z It also has a limit to the number of images you can append to a post. In most circumstances a single photo is usually enough for a post. Occasionally two will be needed. I was making a post about some photos of flowers I had taken and wanted to upload 6 of them. However, I could upload only 5. After this, the upload tool disappears. This is the first time I tried uploading…

Ready to mine DOGE? This is special 4x DOGE mining rewards this week. Apparently 80 DOGE will be distributed every 10 minutes. One thing I've noticed is that the overall network Power has dropped significantly. So the 4x reward may be a good way to boost earnings. I'm trying to figure if I should go all out for doge or keep 50% as RLT to keep earning some stuff for mining. #Rollercoin

@a2j

A hazy start. There was a haze in the morning air today. It felt (and smelt) smokey. I don't know if it was mist (unusual) or just some smoke from something that was burnt overnight. It didn't feel healthy. You can see it is much more on one side of the photo (in the second shot) The sun as usual, made the haze look pretty. Nature is so forgiving! I hope the smokey haze clears off soon - will be annoying to have to breathe that through the day. #sunrise #weather

@a2j

An hour to flower! I noticed the double bud on one of my table rose plants at around 7 am in the balcony. (Apologies for the blurred picture). By 8 am it had completely bloomed. That's what the bright sun does to the flowers. Even though the flowers seem so delicate, the way they spring to life and how quickly they do it is amazing. Their life is short - maybe a day, but they are such a source of inspiration just by being what they are during their short life!

@a2j

This is a meme I made about Crypto Hamster on RollerCoin. This is the toughest game on RollerCoin and ever since it was made necessary to claim the level bonus, plenty of complaints have been fired at the admins. I decided to fire out a meme instead. Crypto Hamster is impossible to win on mobile and almost impossible to win on a computer. And to top it all, if you fail, you don't get any points. Also, if you win, you don't get the points automatically to gain power. You have…

@a2j

Did any of you notice that cryptotab had some maintenance downtime today? This seems to only affect the browser's mining and not the actual surfing. I could still visit websites and click links and watch youtube, but it gave an error whenever I tried to open the cryptotab dashboard or the affiliate dashboard. It mist have lasted an hour or two. I wonder if earnings at that time too were affected and if anyone joined with my referral link was added. Let me know if you're…

@a2j

The sun peeking out of the hills is always a great way to start off the day. I guess having hills around you is a good thing for sunrises. The colors of the city in the foreground contrasts with the brilliant blue of the sky today. Man can never match the natural shades of colors painted by nature. Today had some interesting clouds too - seemed like they were fighting for attention.

@a2j

Been a good week at honeygain for me. The daily bonus usually gives me 10 to 20 bonus credits on logging in to my dashboard every day. But for the last couple of days, I have got 100 credits. That's 200 credits in 2 days which is awesome. It's pretty much passive earnings and you can get paid at 20$ via bitcoin or PayPal. You also get a 5$ bonus if you join.

@a2j

Stir it up! Making coffee in the morning never gets boring. Even the simple task of stirring the coffee while it steeps and brews in the Aeropress is exciting - the blooming, the powder getting soaked and the interesting designs that happen. The Aeropress has its own funny-shaped stirrer that adds to the fun factor.... maybe. Ans the aroma of coffee that unfolds means that the day is off to a great start. #Coffee

@a2j

Great Ball of fire - the sun. Partially hidden behind the clouds and yet shining brightly. There is nothing that can deter the sun from rising every morning and waking up human beings and every living creature. And there is something magical about staring out at the morning light and this great ball of fire.

@a2j

Blue skies above and bright, colorful buildings below. The sky was clear today and the sun highlighted both the sky above and the colors of the city below. I stay in a town where colorful buildings and houses abound - green, yellow, blue, purple, orange. It's like having a rainbow on the ground! And bright days like this bring out this colorfulness beautifully. And @Souadko has pointed out in the comments that the green trees add to the splash of color in this photograph -…

@a2j

For cricket lovers - can you recognise this cricket star? He's retired now and posted this picture on his twitter account saying his appearance has changed due to the lockdown and being unable to visit a salon. Clue: He is an Australian and is 59 years old. He was a big made bowler with a terrific moustache - it was scary to see him thunder down to bowl at batsmen. He's almost unrecognisable in this photo, but if you knew him, you'd realise who he is!

How to demolish a cake! It was my birthday a few days ago and I bought a couple of cakes for my colleagues at work. I bought some chocolate truffle cake and a black forest cake. We had a short cake cutting and singing the birthday song before we all cut the cakes and grabbed a slice. The cake cutting was .... er... not the best or most aesthetic looking, but it was a fun five minutes at work. This is how we demolished a cake. It was all gone and resting inside our tummies in…

Do you make sure your socks match? I do, but today it was an unexpected surprise. Although this is a definite pair, they looked different. This is a black pair of socks. But one of them had faded a lot - and looked more greyisg. You can easily note the difference in the shades. I was too lazy to get out another pair and just wore it to work. The difference must have been subtle, so no-one really noticed or commented about it. I didn't notice it again till I came back and…

Steaming cuppa coffee! After brewing it in an aeropress, the steaming coffee spreads an addictive aroma throughout the kitchen. Great way to start the morning. Hot coffee freshly brewed with a touch of sugar and some frothy milk gives me the perfect kick I need in the morning. Now I'm ready to face anything.

@a2j

888! I wonder if that means anything to my noise life. 888 subscribers is great to have and I have enjoyed every bit of it. At 666 subs, I had posted about whether it was a bad omen owing it to be the number of the antichrist. I'm not sure if there is any significance to the number 888. Apparently 8 signifies infinity in some cultures and is also considered a lucky number in some asian countries. So here's to an infinite and lucky future!

Cointiply has a special promo for Halloween. There is a 13pumpkin promo and you earn bonuses on offers and surveys. For every 10 coins earned, you get free spins where you earn incremental coins if you line up 3 pumpkins. I've also noticed that you get higher coins on the chat rain. So overall, looks like a good time to be active on the site. #Faucet

The housing campus I stay in has some amazing people who take the effort to make it beautiful and green. Here are a couple of innovative things that I enjoyed looking at this morning 1. Recycled containers that are painted and serve as pots for plants. These are placed at the edges of the concrete on the perimeter of a garden. This really increases the green nature of our campus and is very well done. 2. Adding more greenery to a tree! A hanging (recycled) pot on one of the…

Do you use antivirus on your mobile phone? Ever since I started using a lot of crypto, faucet and PTC sites on my mobile phone, I've been worried that with the gazillion ads and unknown advertised sites that I end up visiting, my phone would pick up a bug, virus or anything nasty. So I've put in an antivirus just to be safe. I'm not sure how effective it is though. I've used bitdefender and AVG and both have not picked up anything. They occasionally block a site being…

Boney M. The band that rocked the 70s and 80s. They could dance and sing and had some of the coolest moves. Their music and lyrics were just awesome and way ahead of their times. https://youtu.be/ag9XCXGXLmo This one is Ma Baker - an awesome song with an interesting story line. The lyrics are sung like poetry and add to the vibe of the song. And don't miss those dance moves in this video.

Have you started getting Christmas promos on your email? It's started for me. A lot of Australian stores have started sending me emails. Although it has been 7 years since I left OZ, I haven't unsubscribed from some of their store lists. This one is from a photo book store and is one of many I have received in my email inbox. How about you?

If you're looking at a crypto PTC site that has plenty of high paying PTCs, AdBTC is your answer. This has the highest paying PTCs. Most are around 3 to 5 satoshi a click , quite a few are 5 to 10 Satoshi a click and there are always a decent number of 10 to 20 Satoshi a click PTCs everyday. Also, ads get replenished constantly and you get new ads throughout the day. As shown in this screenshot, even with minimum effort you can easily earn 100 to 200 Satoshi a day. They also…

Do you like the feel of fresh grass on your bare feet? We have a couple of grassy lawns around our home and the kids love to play on them. I love the feel of walking barefeet on fresh grass, especially if there is a little dew on it. There's something refreshing and energising about it. We are so used to wearing footwear and walking on artificial floors, roads, pavements and concrete that we forget how it feels to be in contact with natural surfaces. If you get a chance,…

Who puts those intricate designs on these flowers or how do they get programmed to get so beautiful. This flower has such a beautifully delicate splash of purple dots that is limited to the center part of the petals. Although each petal and each flower is distinctly different, the general pattern is the same. I wonder if they are genetically programmed to be that way or there is a higher power rhat designs them uniquely to look so beautiful. What is your opinion? Photo shot…

Chennai Super Kings win the IPL 2021. What a victory! They blazed away with the bat. Even though KKR started off smartly, a flurry of wickets by some great CSK bowling caused a collapse and the KKR tailenders couldn't pull it off even though they tried hard. CSK have been one of the more popular teams in the IPL and even though Dhoni has not been in the best of forms as a batsman, his captaining skills are still unmatched and he managed to lead the team to another IPL…

Sunshine after the rain. After thundershowers overnight, the warm sun had a chance to spray it's sunrays all over and reflect off the rain puddles on the open spaces. There's a golden hue in the sky and on the ground. The puddles will dry by mid day and all will be dry in preparation for the night. That's how rainy night are. And then there's the occasional floods due to rains when we can barely wade through the roads!

Another sunrise behind the hills. I'm blessed to live in a place where I can watch this beautiful sunrise every day right out of my bedroom window, living room window or tiny little balcony. Every day is different - some are bright and clear and some are cloudy. It seems that no two sunrises are the same! I've taken several pictures over the last few years and every phot is unique. This was today's sunrise. A little hazy and the skies were not clear. We'd had overnight rains…

The gloomy hills in the horizon. It's a cloudy day and the sun is struggling to break through. There's also a light haze all around. The distant hills are difficult to see, they almost merge with the haze and the clouds - you can barely make out their faint outlines. It's 7 am and not yet bright. I hope the day gets better and life is not as gloomy as it is now. I don't mind a lighter, cooler day. But I want a chirpy, bright start to the work week! You can see the sights of…

Stuck behind a bullock cart! The road in front of my workplace is a very narrow road with barricades to separate the flow of traffic. Although this section is quite short, it takes about a minute to navigate it. Today it took more than 3 minutes as I was 'stuck' behind a bullock cart. I couldn't overtake it and just trudged along at less than 5 kmph. I usually aim to reach early and the 2 minutes I lost were inconsequential. But for others around me, it looked like it was…

Late night basketball again. It's been a month since we went down to play late night basketball. The nights are not too cold as yet and we could just do some practice shots for half an hour. Another cloudy sunrise. The sun can be seen as an eerie ball of fire behind the cloud cover and over the hills. The morning had a slightly chilly feel and the plants on my balcony looked lazy. Why does lightning give the night sky a purple hue? I've noticed that in any photo taken during lightning, the background sky looks purplish. It was apparent when we had lightning and thunder a few nights ago. Even though there were no bolts of lightning seen, everytime the sky glowed with distant lightning, it looked purple. When I posted a picture a few weeks ago of another thunderstorm, someone mentioned this too. What causes this pretty hue of purple during lightning?…

It was supposed to be just sandwiches for dinner. But my 11 year old son decided that it should look good. We chose frozen salami and bacon bits. I lightly sauteed them and got out the bread. Variety in the sky! The sun is barely able to peek out this morning, but we have an interesting situation. On one side, the clouds and skies are trying to form pretty shapes up above and one the other side it just turns grey and hazy. The sky is poles apart to my right and to my left. But it has the right to show multiple personalities. It's just nature - with a million things on its mind that it would like to express.

The will to survive: I put this little cutting from a table rose plant in a pot with soil to see if it will survive. It had some leaves and a few small branches. Unfortunately, a squirrel chewed up the leaves and branches and left it with just the central stem. I continued to water it and let it get some sunshine. It has a desire to survive as fresh leaves have sprouted out and there are signs of life. Now to orotect it from the naughty squirrel again. Wish it all the best!

Clouds come down! After the variety in the sky at sunrise, the rain gods decided to take over. With a gust of wind, the clouds covered the sky and the evening darkened. There was a flash and soon it was raining steadily - not heavy, but steady. And the rapid changes meant that the clouds came down too! There was a mist in the evening over the hill tops that looked heavenly. I shot this late in the evening when it was darker - so the lush green is not very vibrant. Perfect…

Caught the moon last night - it was full and red! It wasn't very clear skies and so it's not a sharp picture. I wonder what caused this color! I know there's something called a blood moon, but they usually put it in the newspapers etc. when that happens. The moon looked epic as it floated above the surrounding hills. Italy vs Germany today. Should be an interesting footbal match? No way! It's cricket between Italy and Germany today. My eyes popped out when I saw the schedule. The T20 Cricket World Cup has allowed many smaller teams that usually don't play much cricket to participate. I wonder how these matches will be. Will they be good cricket or just entertainment? Will any of these underdogs make it to the finals or semis? Interesting to kick around some thoughts about these teams.

Smokey! Mornings in October are always a little misty and hazy. But today was annoying as there was a lot of smoke rising from some places. You can see puffs of smoke from a handful of places against the background of the hills. This adds to the haze, but makes it uncomfortable. I'm not sure if this was just wood fire from cooking or some small scale industries that are around.

@a2j

Do you still use rubber bands? I come across rubber bands in a lot of places. Today, I noticed that the bread loafwas sold in a plastic bag and the mouth of the bag was closed with a bright green rubber band. Some people even use this to tie their hair - although they can pull off some of your hair when you untie them! You can fix wire loops together. Their stretchability and elasticity is very handy! What do you use rubber bands for?

How much is that doggie in the sky? You can sing that to the tune of 'How much is that doggie at the window'. At dusk, the sun cast it's soothing red light through the sky that jumped off the clouds. The abstract clouds suddenly sprang to life and seemed to become real. Like this cloud - it looked like a cute puppy dog. Or is my imagination running wild?

@a2j

Doctor, Butcher, Nurse. I wonder what is common amongst the three and why it comes up in that order? Does a butcher actually save lives with the meat he sells? Or does a doctor butcher lives by treating them? Does a nurse doctor patients while she cares for them? The CAPTCHA world is all butchered up, doctored up and needs to be nursed back to health.

Do you snooze your alarm? Every morning, when the alarm on my phone goes off, I have the chance to stop it and wake up or snooze it and get another 5 minutes of snoozy sleep before it goes off again. On most days, I just wake up. On days I'm tired after some work at night, I snooze it a couple of times before I crawl out of bed. Do you wake up promptly when your alarm goes off?

What goes on in a coffee bean's mind before it gets into the grinder and gets demolished to powder? I really wonder! All I know is that the sound of the grinder is followed by the sweetest aroma of coffee wafting into every corner of my home. That's the smell of coffee beans sacrificing its life! Or maybe its the smell of coffee beans fulfilling its purpose. #Coffee

Out of the brick and cement comes life! This plant seems to have a strong will to survive. Look at where it's coming out of - the cement and brick of this wall that is on our bike parking lot. It's roots have somehow found nutrition beyong this and it's stem has been able to break through the solid cement and stone. And to top it all, it has even managed to produce some pretty, petite flowers. This was an inspiring way to start my day and I hope it motivates you too!

@a2j

Never the twain shall meet! There's an array of buildings and homes down below and the vast skies with clouds above. As you stare into the distant horizon, you wonder if they will both ever meet. Alas, the sky is a play of light and the buildings are earth-bound. The hills in the distance make it look like they have met far away, but that is just the eye tricking your brain. The God-made skies and the man-made buildings will never meet and will never unite. Do they hate each…

Shadow of the hill. The hill peak and slop were such that the position of the sun caused the hill's own shadow to fall on itself. It was an interesting scenery to watch as the shadow slowly moved under the noon day sun. I gazed at it for a few minutes - it's amazing how watching nature clears your mind and refreshes you. It was a hot afternoon yesterday and this was the break I needed to plod on through the rest of the day.

This reminded me of subtle warnings that my parents used to give me when I was a child. "Three Strikes" The unfinished sentence is more scary than a full sentence. The warning is an eerie way to start the week.....

Sunday morning inspiration: Nine year old Steven singing "Lord I need you" is a great way to brighten up your Sunday. https://youtu.be/m3mnJxKdxJw Steven started his singing and YouTube career very early and his voice stole many hearts. Recycling and repurposing: Our housing campus is a brilliant example of how things are repurposed and recycled. This broken wheelbarrow has now become a part of the garden with table roses being grown on soil piled into it. With a little landscaping using stones and grass, the spot has become beautiful. It's a pleasure to walk through the gardens and pathways and find such spaces! Do you repurpose things to make them environment friendly?

@a2j

There's a storm front coming! Do you remember that Billy Joel song? That was what crossed my mind when I looked out to the hills today. The wind speed had picked up and there were rumbling, dark clouds rolling in slowly. The smell of rain had already started. It also looked like sheets of rain in the horizon. The problem is that we have planned an outdoor event today for viewing the India-Pakistan cricket match. It will be a disaster if there is rain! 3 hours to go. Let's…

@a2j

Pakistan annihilated India today in the T20 world cup match. Absolutely loved how they played. India played poorly and deserved to lose this match. And I'm an Indian cricket fan. 😒 The best thing about the match for me was that we screened it in the open area - it was one of our first social event in the last 1.5 years.

I find it amazing that the same branch on the same table rose plant could bear flowees with two different designs on it. While both are yellow, the petals have distinctly different designs. One is almost completely yellow, while the other has pretty, red patterns on it. And it's awesome how close to each other they are - almost crushing each other.

@a2j

Repurposed concrete blocks. These concrete blocks were left over after some construction work and we're not not good enough to be used for buildings. So, as usual, the person looking after our campus decided to repurpose them and add to the beauty and greenery around us. They filled the hollow centers with soil, put in a variety of plants, looked after it well and it has become another beautiful space to chill out. I'll post more such repurposed stuff in our campus every…

What words would you use to describe the colors and shades of coffee? This is some freshly brewed coffee that I've Aeropressed into my stainless steel milk frother before pouring it into my coffee mug. The brown colored liquid and the internal reflections give a rich, mysterious quality to the jar and the espresso. I can think of many words to describe it, but will leave you to it. Is it dark, brown, ethereal, sophisticated, aromatic? Let your imagination run free!

My partners in bed last night. Please don't get any wild ideas. My partners were chicken licken, sly fox and red hen. That's what happens when you have a 4 year old daughter. I read these stories to her before she dozed off in our bed. And when we all woke up, the books were still on the bed. She uses our bed more often than her cot and it is not unusual to go to sleep with toys, art material and books in the bed. I hope that clarifies the 'title' of this article!

It's a beautiful sight to walk out into my tiny, cluttered balcony and watch a little plant slowly produce pretty flowers that bloom. It took about 5 days for this table rose to go from a green bud to a beautiful pink flower. The transformation is beautiful. This particular flower has multiple layers of delicate petals that give it a very rich appearance. The tiny size makes it petite and eye-pleasing. Enclosing 3 photos on 3 different days as I watched it progress from but…

What's the most fun(ny) name you have seen for coffee? "Jumping Ants" is what I'm sipping on now and the name is certainly intriguing. They apparently called it that because the the roasters first saw jumping ants on the hills on which this coffee was grown. Jumping Ants!! Sounds scary. It's a light roasted Arabica. It's got interesting taste notes, although I do prefer something a little stronger. I've put in screenshots from the website for some interesting reading. Have a…

I also hope no one posts spam or wild stuff or links on my profile. Social media is sooooo hard!

@a2j

I have to give it to the folks who do stuff like this in our garden. They managed to stack super-heavy rocks to landscape a dry and sandy portion of the garden and placed s pot on it with a plant that will grow down onto the rocks. The plant is still growing and in a while, will probably cover the rocks and make it even more beautiful. So good to have friends who landscape well and make the campus green and beautiful. Do you know what plant this is?

Human beings usually write alphabets and try to spell correctly as they write words. CAPTCHA makers don't believe or respect that. Look at these CAPTCHAs. Horrendous spelling and slang that my English teacher at school would have strongly disapproved of. If this is what it takes to identify human beings, I should have written this post very differently. CAPTCHAs make me wonder if I am a human or a bot.

Coffee art in the cafe vs coffee art in my kitchen. The difference is startling but not unexpected. Even when I had a Breville espresso machine with a wand steamer and got lovely steamed milk, I could never get any sensible coffee art. Things are worse now that I use a manual frother. All I get is blobs and abstract shapes that resemble vague things. I do like to let my imagination run wild and think that I've made a spectacular shape - but I'll leave you to be the judge.…

It's 5 pm and the sun looks like it's ready to retire for the day. It looked like an orange blob in the sky and the sky had a dusky appearance with some clouds. While the sun is still high in the sky, there is a bird (probably a crow or a kite) that looks like it's flying higher than the sun! And all this while climbing stairs inside my workplace building. There's so much beauty we can miss if we choose not to look outside the confines of our buildings and concrete jungles.

Cheat Momos I made momos for dinner for the family. Sounds impressive right! You have to believe it. I've even put a photograph of it. There is a little twist thought. Making momos from scratch is not easy - definitely not for a person like me who can barely make instant noodles. Thankfully, we get frozen, ready-to-cook stuff like these momos that make cooking a breeze. On days where work is hard for both of us, I can easily pitch in to get dinner done for family. It's a bit…

Can you spot what is funny in this salon timing notice? I've visited this place dozens of times over many years and they haven't changed it. At first glance, it looks like a genuine notice to display the timings of the salon and seems to be organised to mention timings in the weekend and for men/women separately. But if you look at it more carefully, you will notice that on all days and for both men and women, the timings are the same! They could have just written "Salon…

The mornings are getting hazier and cloudier. The sun struggles to break free from the cloud cover and the mornings are not as bright as before. It actually looks gloomy. I have not been in my balcony garden for a couple of days. A spider decided it was time to weave it'sweb undisturbed. I wonder how it realised I wasn't coming out - must have been stalking me. The web is fragile, but huge - stretching across a few feet both sideways and in height. The spider is very small - I almost walked into the web and spider. Lazy CAPTCHA makers: part 2 Part 1 is here - https://noise.cash/post/lw6pz3r9 I wonder if this is actually a clever way of separating humans and bots. It instructs to click the snowflake ❄️ and there are 3 snowflakes! Only one image is not a snowflake. A bot would probably go into an infinte loop of being unable to choose which snowflake to click on. As a human, I just said 'bah' in a gruff tone and clicked one of the ❄️ at random. I won!

A cool day, some humidity and a light afternoon drizzle means that the hills get misty tops. It's quite a light mist, but keeps moving and changing. The hills are green and the colorful buildings at its base makes the scene richly colorful and very soothing. How close have you been to a crocodile? Our closest interaction was in 2013 when we visited Hartleys Crocodile farm at Cairns in Australia. I really miss some of the adventures from our Australian stay. This is a boat ride through crocodile infested waters that is under control. This table rose plant on my balcony is planted in a plastic bottle that had dishwashing liquid. I sawed off the side and placed it sideways on the ledge, put in some soil and planted it. It seems to be doing quite well. Today is the day it bloomed out the maximum number of flowers ever. There were close to 10 flowers. It's lasted almost a year now and I hope it survives the mealybugs that are attackimg some of the plants. I love the way the flowers hang out precariously over…

Another coffee gadget - a travel mug french press. I bought this to use at work. It's an insulated travel mug which has a French press piston at the top. It's made of stainless steel and plastic and so is not breakable like the usual glass french press. I hope it helps me get the much needed kick at lunchtime to plod through a day at work. I tried using it at home and it came out well. #Coffee

Here's something to pep up your Sunday. This is a song that children and adults love. I've seen it sung in Sunday School, in church and in concerts. https://youtu.be/reAlJKv7ptU Rend Collective is an Irish band and have a distinct Irish pop sound that is very catchy. This song is one of my favorites from this band and is called My Lighthouse. I heard it in a church called Ashraya and have heard it and sung it in many places. It's a family favorite!

I thought I'd withdraw some of the doge from faucetcrypto to RollerCoin and see if I can get to the 4 doge mark a little easier. The process is simple. Click on the wallet symbol on the top left of RollerCoin dashboard and choose dogecoin. Get the wallet address there and put it in the…
