Do you use antivirus on your mobile phone? Ever since I started using a lot of crypto, faucet and PTC sites on my mobile phone, I've been worried that with the gazillion ads and unknown advertised sites that I end up visiting, my phone would pick up a bug, virus or anything nasty. So I've put in an antivirus just to be safe. I'm not sure how effective it is though. I've used bitdefender and AVG and both have not picked up anything. They occasionally block a site being advertised. The AVG dashboard shows ads which is annoying, but seems to be an ok trade off for being free. They don't seem to slow down the mobile. What is your opinion on antivirus for phones?

Your concern is valid. There are lots of fly-by attacks that you can come across accidentally. One, use a secure browser. The Brave browser will block pop-up ads. And I would second what @Gianluca83 said. Kaspersky is a good antivrus. Bitdefender has always topped the tests year after year for so many years now, so it's a good choice as well. I stopped using AVG when it became bloatware for the PC version. Forticlient Firewall/webfilter is also a good added protection. But you have to give it a try if it will affect your phone's performance.
Thanks for all your useful tips. The mobile version of AVG seems to be less of bloatware.
