I felt very sad looking at my purple heart plant. Yesterday it was still blooming with beautiful purple flowers and when I checked this morning , the leaves were gone and some stalks were broken. They were eaten by the snails. I found some snails hiding in the nearby snake plant so I sprinkled some salt on the snails. There were other plants eaten by the snails and it is so sad. We 're done eating lunch. I cooked adobong chicken thighs with sauce and I added boiled eggs. I also fried 1 fish to add to our viand. Turbo cooked crispy pork belly We ate a late lunch because we had also a late breakfast. I boiled the whole pork belly to soften it. I added some salt, pepper, laurel leaf and garlic to make it flavorful. I then let it dry and cooled it slightly before adding some rock salt around the meat.. Good day! Today, is my schedule for renewal of passport. I am glad that I was able to secure a slot on the available schedules . I availed of the Courtesy Lane for Seniors by sending an email to DFA here in our city requesting for a slot for me to renew my passport. Indeed they gave me this date at 10am. Lunch I didn't realize that I did not take my breakfast this morning. I did not feel hungry but at 11 am I started cooking for lunch. We ate at 12 noon because I felt the hunger pangs! I was cutting some wild trees that grew in our back yard. One of them grew near the pipe with a T-connection causing the pipe to leak. . We just pumped water enough to fill some containers so that we have something to use. The leak was getting stronger so it's useless to fill the tank. Everything will be wasted. The plumber arrived late already and started working on the pipes. They found out that there was a problem with the the pipe thread. It needs re threading. They told us that we have a thick pipe unlike the current pipes in the market. I told them that maybe these pipes were old already, more than 20 years old. They need to go back home to get a bigger tool to fit our thick pipe. They will come back to finish the job. I hope this can be done tonight.
The plumber came back bringing a bigger threader but it is too big so he could not thread the pipe. He suggested that we change the pipe to a new kind so I suggested that they put something to close the water flow because they can't finish it tonight. I went out to buy some vegetables in the nearby market. I also bought 1 1/2 kilos of chicken and 10 sachets of Great Taste 3 in 1 Coffee White (for my daughter). I could not believe that all in all it cost me P1000. Nowadays, the value of money is very little because of high prices of commodities. What can we do? We still buy even though the prices are higher because we need to eat. A blessed afternoon my dear friends.
Pepper found a new box to play and get in! This was the box from the new item bought by my daughter. While my daughters' were assembling the gadget, Pepper found a way to get inside the box. We just finished eating dinner. I cooked chicken tocino and chicken tapa as shown in the photo. I also sautéed some vegetables to pair with the tocino and tapa. The girls bought a slice of burnt cheesecake so I tasted a little for dessert. It tasted really good. I hope you have already eaten your meal my friends. It's very humid in our area now. My daughters ordered drinks for our snacks this afternoon. They ordered from MiPanda Cebu.gph. I chose the Strawberry Taho Boba without the pearls. I got the large size. I am a happy customer because it is not very sweet. I consumed the drink in just a few minutes. It's really good!
I captured the moon at 6:50 pm today. It's shining behind the clouds. I was lucky to get this shot because when I came back a few minutes later, the moon was covered with thick dark clouds and I could not see it anymore. It's lunch time! Come let's eat. I have fried pork and fried eggplant. I experimented in frying the pork with flour and bread crumbs hoping that the oil won't splash. We'll it didn't splash so much. Many thanks to my precious daughter for giving me this pair of very soft slippers. I saw similar slippers at Shopee and I wanted to buy one. When I told my daughter that I am planning to buy, she told me not to buy because she already ordered . I am so happy. She chose the color yellow, hers is gray and her hubby is black. I prepared the food that I'm cooking for lunch before I did my laundry. I had chicken to be broiled and my vegies are ready for sautéing. While doing my laundry, I placed the chicken inside the turbo broiler and set a timer at 60 minutes. It was very timely that I finished washing my clothes a few minutes before the 60-minute time set. This was our lunch for today. I marinated the whole chicken overnight with salt, pepper, garlic, soy sauce and vinegar. I placed some lemon grass and green onions inside to make it more flavorful. This was the final product. The 1 kilo chicken was just enough for 5 persons. There was a little leftover the back part which I plan to add to my sotanghon soup for tonight. Last night I took some photos of the moon but failed to post it. I saw the moon in the horizon past 6pm already. It was a cloudy night but I can see the moonlight. I took shots at 6:42pm, 7:23pm, 7:59pm and 9:06pm. I learned that there was partial eclipse last night and not visible in the Philippines because it started at 3:20pm which is below our horizon. Good afternoon my dear Noisers! I ate a late lunch. I have 2 boiled eggs, fried pork and slices of cucumber. I'm home alone this Saturday so I only cooked the boiled eggs. The fried pork was from yesterday so I got 1 piece. I did not feel hungry but when I saw the time, I decided that I should eat. I must be getting old because I forgot to post this content. Dinner time Good evening mga kaingay. Naka ready na ang hapunan. I sauteed the ground pork and cooked it well with salt and pepper before I added the beans. I cut the beans one inch length for a different feel. I can see a box of pizza but I didn't mind it. Maybe that's an extra food from their lunch. Kumusta na po kayo mga kaibigan ko dito? Ano po hinanda ninyo para sa hapunan? Kain po tayo.
After dinner I went out to feed my doggie and alley cat. I'm glad my doggie Tenshi went inside his cage immediately so I had more time looking around and enjoying the bright moon. My guyabano tree has been flowering for a number of years but did not bear any fruits. These are some of its flowers. Before,I tried to pollinate it manually but did not prosper. So I just leave it as it is hoping that soon some fruits be formed but until now nothing is happening. I dumped my organic kitchen wastes around the plant so that it will have natural nutrients. Breakfast time. My daughter requested me to cook oatmeal and Vienna Sausage for her breakfast. I also cooked scrambled eggs. She ate only the oatmeal and sausage. I also ate a little oatmeal with powdered milk , sausage and eggs. I also made my hot turmeric tea. It was quite a satisfying meal. I hope you're done eating breakfast too.
We just finished eating our lunch. I already fed my pets and stayed here outside to breath some fresh air. The weather is so unpredictable. Earlier just before we ate lunch , rain suddenly fell so I had to rush outside to get my laundry hanged to dry. Now it's sunny again but there's a gray cloud hovering on the eastern side.
