Budapest Memorandum
I remember I once promised you all to write a detailed article about what is going on in Ukraine and the genesis to the war between Russia and Ukraine. But it been more than a week since I promised to write and there isn’t any article out on it.
Well to write about the conflict actually need time and I need to be careful, so I don’t write something not based on facts and thereby discrediting myself.
I also have been lazy lately and not been able to gather the facts I needed to put out a good article that would be understandable for readers who know little about international politics.
This morning when I woke up, I did my normal morning rituals of checking my read and noise cash accounts, my wallets (to know the price of BCH) and the news outlets most especially the BBC to know that is going in the global world.
I can proudly say that I have been following the war in Ukraine since day one of the invasion by the Russian forces and I am fond of checking the latest on the crisis every morning and even before I sleep. Frankly I can say it has become an addiction.
Well the war between Ukraine and Russia would be the second war I would follow live from the beginning and not by reading from history books and videos.
Well I think the Taliban recent takeover of Afghanistan would be the first (but it isn't as huge as what is currently happening now in Ukraine) because there was perhaps little fighting and the takeover was so swift that; it still bemuse the western coalition that freed Afghanistan back in the early 2000s.
Disregard for the UN
This morning I woke up to the news that Russia carried out missile strikes in Kyiv the capital city of Ukraine while the General Secretary of the United Nations was in the city. This is really alarming and I felt it is a total disregard for the United Nations.
Well I made a post about it on my whatsapp status and I got a reply that was shocking.
I realized a lot of people are living in misconception about the crisis and I decided to take my time to explain it on my status by making some brief facts about the truth of the crisis.
While this article is not the detailed article I promised to write. I have decided to state some facts about what is going on and correct some misconception about the war.
Who is attacking who?
Well to put it straight it is Russia attacking Ukraine and not Ukraine or any other country attacking Russia. This a fact and it been also been admitted by Russia’s Foreign Minister. "That there are no Ukrainian forces in Russia but Russian forces are currently in Ukraine"
Does Ukraine pose a threat to Russia security
This has been a statement made by officials in Moscow but with no proof, Ukraine does not pose any threat directly or indirectly to the Federation of Russia.
Why did Ukraine want to join NATO
Ukraine wanted to become a member of NATO because it feels that is the only way to deters Russia's aggression.
Ukraine has never been this keen to join NATO before, until in 2014 when Russia invaded and annexed Crimea peninsula a part of the territory of Ukraine. Many countries still regard Crimea as part and parcel of Ukraine although it has been occupied by the Russian forces ever since.
Is NATO planning to invade Russia
Russia has always said it is worried about Ukraine joining NATO and that the defense alliance was planning an invasion; which isn’t true.
Claims such as this and that of Ukraine being ruled by Nazis are unfounded and are pure lies by the administration in Moscow.
Did you know?
Ukraine is the first and only nation to ever give up its nuclear arsenal (it inherited from the soviet union) and for doing this Russia, Britain and the United States made a memorandum called the (Budapest memorandum) with Ukraine to provide security assurances and respect its sovereignty.
In conclusion
Clearly Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a violation of the Budapest memorandum and agreement it had with Ukraine

I'll tell you a secret 🤫: when the war is over, this BUDAPESH MEMORANDUM will burn in a BLUE and VERY BIG FIRE!!!!!!! Ukriana has given up nuclear weapons, and not only that! For what? For peace! Ukraine became a "big farmer" and the result is???? THE GUARANTEES OF OUR SECURITY HAVE HAPPENED OURSELVES!!!!! Bottom line: you want peace, get ready for war! And so it turned out! So the question arises, would Russia have attacked Ukraine if Ukraine had nuclear weapons? You are talking about Afghanistan, and I'll tell you that the world has not seen such a war since the Second World War!!!!
