The Dirty Lake!!

Good evening my loves...today am going to share a new story with you all that my daughter narrated to me today. She asked me to write this story here and she is so excited for you all to read this.. the story goes as...

There was a small village with a couple hundreds of people and the village consisted of a fresh water lake where it survived as the only drinking water source for everyone in the village. The village people were happily surviving in the vicinity. Kids spent many days playing around the lake happily. They hung out while their cattle happily munched on the fresh grass that was abundantly grown as the result of fresh water and gave plenty of fresh healthy milk and vegetation was nice and brought a lot of good vegetable business to the town and the whole village kind of dependent on that beautiful big lake.

Days went by like this and more and more people started to hangout around the lake as summer hit the village. They brought picnic tables, lots of delicious snacks and some even went to camping for whole weekend near the lake. It was all fine until a little kid named Nikki started to notice something strange happening to that lake. It started to become small and the colour of the fresh water started to change. He starts to get worried about the Lake as it's water was getting dirty and also the lake was becoming smaller in size. It also failed to collect the rain water properly because of all the dirty trash and garbage people were throwing in it.

Nikki approached the forest range officers about the same and when they arrived, they saw the lake so dirty and were shocked. The assistant officer noticed that the lake also failed to collect rain water and became very small, thus it will not have abundant water for next summer. The senior officer got worried and ran to the town mayor and informed about the same. Senior officer requested to hire people to clean the lake properly. The mayor replied "We do not have that much budget to hire people, my apologies. you need to make some other arrangements as I cannot do anything about it. But we only have some gold and silver coins left, I would give them to you, see if you can do anything with it." The senior officer replied the mayor "The coins are enough, thank you!!" and left Mayor's office.

The senior officer then came to the village and she called some little kids and said "look kids, I found some gold and silver coins in the Lake"and a lady from the village was listening to everything the officer was saying and she quickly spread the "treasure" news inside the village. Before the people gather around the lake to treasure hunt the coins, the officer quickly threw the coins given by the Mayor into the dirty lake. The news broke like wild fire and people from that village and also from other village gathered around the lake and started digging all the garbage out.. few people found some gold and silver coins thrown by the officer and screamed "I found some gold, silver coins...." and thus giving hope to many people to continue to dig..

Within no time, the entire lake was cleaned upside down as the people removed every single possible thing from the lake. Because of their greediness, they even dug outside of the lake thus increasing the size of the lake, it allowed the lake to collect a lot of water in the monsoon season rains that came right after that... Nikki and the forest range officers were very happy about the lake being so fresh and full again. The officers had another meeting with the mayor and banished people from throwing trash into the lake and if done, heavy fines were imposed....thus keeping the water always clean from that day....
