Animals Are No Less Than Humans
It's scientifically proven as well as believed we have evolved from Animals, especially from monkeys. But from no sense to super intelligence, humans have evolved so much if we think from animal-human history. It's not that humans only have intelligence or emotions in fact animals also show emotions and intelligence. Most of the time we see aggressive prey and predator emotions but sometimes animals force us to think they are also like us in terms of feeling or expressing emotions.
Practical Examples
You may have seen and read stories of how loyal dogs, cats, and some other pet animals can be. Like dogs jumping into a river or lake to save a kid or person, cats defending toddlers from being attacked by other creatures, etc. Who has done some heroic acts to save their owner or their houses from deadly threats? Loyalty and protection are emotions and such examples show animals feel as well as understand emotion but of course, it depends on how that animal is raised.
A Heartbreaking Mysterious Incident
Just some kilometers away from my city in the neighboring city a similar heartbreaking and heart-melting incident happened. An Old man had a calf but its mother died and he was too old to take care of it so he sold it to another person in another village 3 months ago. A few days ago he died due to old age and while the time of burning his body somehow this calf came and started licking the head and legs of the dead man. The people there said the calf has tears in its eyes and everyone was shocked to see such an incident.
Many questions were rising in people's minds like how he knew his old caretaker died or where his body is!
This is a total mystery or the power of the true bond between these two creatures.
People also started saying that the calf may have the soul of his dead son. This is just pure miracle moment.

Final Thoughts
I have read a lot of great stories about animals showing emotions to their caretakers but this one is by far the most mysterious one I have known. It's just proof that the power in a true bond cannot be understood by science or anything. And animals are no less than humans in terms of feeling emotions.
