Do you consider yourself as a work in progress?
When something is a work in progress, it implies that it is still in the process of changing and it is not yet finished. A work in progress is like a road that is under construction with a lot of delays and detours. It is like you are traveling everywhere without a clue of where the best destination is.
When you are beating time and all of a sudden, you happen to pass by on a road that is under construction, surely you would be complaining for the inconvenience and detours that would delay you toward your destination. Just like the road under construction, you are also under construction, and that you are a work in progress.
You may be successful in some aspects of life at present but admit it that there are still a lot of things that are constantly changing in your existence to become who you are in the future.
You may often see others developing ahead of you, yet always put in mind that there is no point in comparing yourself to other people. Just take pride in being a work in progress. Learn the art of always thinking of yourself as never a finished product and surely you would continue to be a best product.
The inner drive should start from within you. Keep yourself motivated to accept the challenge while holding on and believe that delays and detours are just part of the work in progress.
In reality, you are successful in some aspects but there are also other aspects that you need to grow and improve more. Even if you are the most intelligent student in class, your score does not always guarantee a successful tomorrow. What matters most is a positive attitude with a positive mind.
Moreover, be more than willing to accept your weaknesses. Take time to reflect on your self and gracefully accept that you are not yet a finished product, and for you to become the best product, you still need to be patient to wait for the right time to come. Believe that there is a great launching for your achievements tomorrow.
Never ever compare yourself to others who are ahead of you, for you would just end up with self-pity. Instead, make them an inspiration to move forward. Accept life as it is that each one has a different path to take and various stories of success.
Personally, I always consider myself as a work in progress, not to mention that I had made several achievements in the real world, but I always consider myself as a newbie and I am always teachable. I make more rooms for improvements. I never think of myself as superior against others and I am very open to corrections and suggestions that would always make me a better person than I was yesterday.
I may not tell you what are my achievements in the real world, but I always dwell with a humble heart. I am graciously accepting that I am not yet a best product and that I still need to grind so I could achieve more of my potentials and even discover my hidden talents.
Have you heard about someone who is not a work in progress? Maybe yes, may be no, and not either. Perhaps in my own belief, I always think that everyone is a work in progress. And while having a journey in a road that is under construction, it could either make or build someone.
However, if one does not accept the fact about being a work in progress, a lot of worst experiences may happen. Patience is a right attitude. One must be patient to wait of the best things for the best things in life are yet to come.
As the famous saying goes that “Life is a book.” Just like in the book, some of your stories in life are sad yet every so often some of the experiences are happy and exciting. And if you does not turn any page, you would not know what the next chapter is destined for you.
Maybe you are sad right now because you have not yet achieved all the desires of your heart. Maybe you are very happy at the moment because you have unlocked all your goals. And maybe you are idle because you feel exhausted about your life. Regardless of your status, just go with the flow of life while possessing a positive attitude with a positive mind.
In conclusion, just always believe in the power of positivity. Bear in mind that a positive attitude plus a positive mind equals the best success. When you go with the flow to stay optimistic while still being a work in progress, you would come to go with the glow tomorrow. It is like you have to grind for now, and then glow luminously later. There are still a lot of stories to experience in the chapters of your life that is like a book. Just do not fret and never ever give up. Most importantly, just take pride in being a work in progress.

Your words are so encouraging for me who experienced such kind of circumstance in life. I am supposed to be a graduating student this year, but unfortunately I stopped studying last 2020. And now I was left behind and all of my batch are now graduating, while me I'm still in a work in progress. But I believe I will be some kind of finished goods soon, probably it's not yet my time but what matters most is you learn from your mistakes and you learn how to wait for your turn.
