I first heard about the group as a child walking with my parents in a Montenegrin summer resort.The music of an instrumental was heard from a nearby restaurant, I later found out that it was Santana's Europe!

Carlos Augusto Alves Santana (July 20, 1947), known as Carlos Santana or just Santana, is an American "Latin rock" musician and guitarist, originally from Mexico. He is a Grammy Award winner.

He became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band, the Santana Blues Band, which most commonly appeared under the name "Santana" and which created a very successful mix of salsa, rock, blues and jazz. Santana was born in Autlan de Navarro, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. He developed an interest in music very early, taking violin lessons from the age of five. Santana's life relationship with the guitar, the instrument that will make him a musical icon, began a few years later, when his family moved to Tijuana. He tried to imitate his guitar heroes with whom he was fascinated, such as John Lee Hooker, Ti Boone Walker and BBC King, whom he listened to on American radio stations from the Mexican-American border. In 1961, Santana managed to move to the United States to the city of San Francisco.
