Imagine how you would feel....
Imagine how you would feel if Adam Back of Blockstream suddenly announced that he was going to take 8% of all new BTC created on the network to fund infrastructure for Bitcoin. That is how you should also feel about Amaury of ABC's plan that he is going to take 8% of all new BCH created on the network to fund infrastructure for Bitcoin Cash. https://medium.com/bitcoin-abc/bitcoin-abcs-plan-for-the-november-2020-upgrade-65fb84c4348f

I live in a country of ex-dictactors and we have learned something from that: if you don't fight for change their will always pretend to be the ones who pull the triggers and make people marionettes, what BCH enthusiasts need to do is to raise up and end that behaviour, crypto is suppose to be of free will not something imperative if Amaury thinks he can grab those 8% from newly generated BCH for IFP then something is wrong!
Where can I follow this story from the beginning? I know somethings going on between BCH and ABC but not exactly sure what.
-A chinese mining group annouced a proposal that they will send 10% (or so) of the block reward to developers fund (block tax). -The group threatened to to orphan the blocks not containing this donation. -The proposal was rejected by the community and the rest of the miners. -ABC backed up the plan, added a vote for the tax to the blockchain. The proposal failed once more again. -Even if the proposal has failed, ABC decided to add the block tax to the source code - this time, to their own address, controlled directly by them. -Renegade group of ABC developers formed the BCHN node software, which is a fork of ABC without the block tax. -The community rejected the proposal, and people started to replace the Bitcoin ABC node to Bitcoin Unlimited or BCHN nodes.
I wanted to answer this, but I only t track the details well enough to form opinions, I don't really document them. I think @MobTwo would be a good source to find the story from the beginning, but I'm not sure which beginning you're referring to. He posts on reddit and read.cash, and I was actually originally searching reddit for a post I thought I remembered him making about BCH history, but it 's hard to find comments in reddit (it seems their search engine only looks at posts but not the comments within). Anyway, during my searching, I found he posts here, too, and I skimmed his articles to see what I could find. Here is a recent article of his that is specifically about the current controversy: https://read.cash/@MobTwo/bch-supporter-my-personal-perspective-about-the-daa-situation-736dc109 If you want history all the way to the conflict in BTC before BCH emerged, then he has a great article for that as well with lots of links to other sources. That article probably continues on into some of the BCH history, but certainly doesn't extend all the way to the most recent conflict. Incidentally, if you want history from the beginning of BCH to now, he's probably still a good resource, but I don't think he has an article like that posted.
Long story short, Bitcoin ABC's Amaury lack the ability to work well with others and think of himself as a dictator over Bitcoin Cash. From his perspective, he feels that as a dictator, he has the rights to do anything he want to Bitcoin Cash, including taking 8% revenues from every single mined blocks moving forward. This could lead to millions of dollars every year going into his own pocket and of course, the Bitcoin Cash community is not happy with this. All the main Bitcoin Cash businesses, infrastructure, development tools, software will be using BCHN (instead of ABC). The majority of the community is also supportive of BCHN (instead of ABC). Here are their statements. https://read.cash/@sha256_88ebd526/bitcoin-cash-bch-november-2020-upgrade-statement-8c743a0d https://read.cash/@SLP-Foundation/simple-ledger-protocols-joint-statement-regarding-bitcoin-abc-on-bchs-november-2020-upgrade-3ba8d706 https://read.cash/@GeneralProtocols/joint-statement-on-aserti3-2d-algorithm-f98f0a2c https://read.cash/@asicseer/joint-statement-from-bch-miners-regarding-bitcoin-abc-and-the-november-2020-bch-upgrade-2cbdc38d https://read.cash/@Bitcoin.com/bitcoincom-recommended-node-implementation-for-bitcoin-cash-prior-to-november-15th-2020-2590d28c Amaury admitted that he doesn't care about Bitcoin Cash, all he cares about is money for himself. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/i32k7m/dark_secrets_of_the_grasberg_daa/g09umet/ In the last 4 years alone... Bitcoin ABC has conflicts with BU. Bitcoin ABC has conflicts with Bitcoin.com Bitcoin ABC has conflicts with former BCH community (now BSV) Bitcoin ABC has conflicts with BCHN. Bitcoin ABC has conflicts with Jonathan Toomin on the DAA. Bitcoin ABC has conflicts with some of the current BCH builders and supporters. Bitcoin ABC has conflicts with big investors like Justin Bons Cyber Capital. Bitcoin ABC has conflicts with someone who donated money to them in the past (eg. Marc De Mesel). It is quite clear to me that Bitcoin ABC is the reason why BCHBTC price keeps going down. To achieve what he wants, Amaury has been deliberately preventing other developers from building and making progress in Bitcoin Cash. Source: https://np.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/i32k7m/dark_secrets_of_the_grasberg_daa/g0cknap/ If someone caused your investment to lose money, you still want to reward that person with 8% of the mined blocks? I will not do that. There are very good reasons why all the main Bitcoin Cash businesses, infrastructure, development tools, software, community don't support the IFP from ABC. Let's not reward people who do harm to Bitcoin Cash.
That is crazy! Thanks for clarifying. I don’t know why anyone would want to support ABC in the first place then except for that Amuary guy who wants to pocket money for himself.
Thank you for this great summary. 💚
Adam would want more than 8%
Roger, send your articles to a community, otherwise it is not being amplified on the front site.
There seems to be an error for this. I reported it to the admin.
Totally unacceptable , such a coincidence that they do the same thing. 😅
That's right, I agree it's not about the person, but it's with the same principles. The feeling must be the same, but maybe popularity and background stories may affect on how people will react or feel. But still they have the same principles, the same mind concepts which is not good. It is not good to be greedy and doing things for your own intentions and benefits only.
Well, this coin will not be BCH, let's he do this fork and give us some free airdrop.
yeah, good luck listening to these people, Phabulu.
Hello sir, my African friends do not understand English sir, please can I translate this into my local language?
We must see to the future of BCH. Amaury's decision is not acceptable sir. I totally disagree. He is using it for his funding agenda and this is meant for P2P electonic cash. I would feel bad if Amaury's plans come to life. I believe BCHN can make the difference.
It's a matter of principles now
It's too funny, because just a few days ago Sal the Agorist was arguing without knowing that it is a NO GO in BCH, that ABC should just get funded by VC's and all of the BCHAzers as well as you have supported this claim, because it sounded so nice.
My reaction won't be funny at all. Taking 8% is much, I am even struggling with my earnings
Why they are getting much in crypto money? Thay are already wealthy and having a good life they dont need that already..
Very true! Thanks for posting. Can't wait for this mess to be all over with after he forks
that's like stealing others money right?
no it is not.
Hi sir. Would you allow to translate this into filipino? Many filipino users are here in readcash. So maybe I can help them to understand this easy
Well maybe it's really not a good idea for us new starter at crypto currency trading, but maybe it's for a better future of the cypto community
Is time we state our stand on the plans of Amaury, no need for sentiments anymore. If everyone who loves Bitcoin cash can say no to this plan of fork without being biased in our decision, I think we can win.
Stop acting like low class people. I piss on you ver. Get over it. ABC has already won without firing a shot. Go play with your self and think about how Toomim smells.
Hypocrisy is wide-spread nowadays, unfortunately. It's good to know that you are a man of principles -- not that I ever doubted that for one second. 👍
I wonder how it really is when someone is going to take 8% of all new BTC created on the network, or at least the same amount of all new BCH created on the network?! 👍 It seems, they should feel themself very cool 👍👍👍
