The Whole Truth

There are three things that can never be hidden in this life;

• The Sun

• The Moon

• The Truth

Have you ever seen the Sun hidden from the sky? Have you even seen the Moon not shown at night? What about the Truth? No matter how long it takes the truth to be hidden, it will find itself way one day.

"Truth is sometimes like a small hole camouflaged by darkness. It's always been there, but we cannot just see it, but as soon as a light shines on it, it reveals itself for all to see making us wonder how long it has been hidden there".

This quote was extracted from a movie I watched yesterday and I would love to give a review about it for us here. The title of the movie is called "THE WHOLE TRUTH"

Have you ever done something bad in the past? Have you cheated in a way that looks so hidden and you are living a free life today? Have you killed someone and buried the person somewhere and you think no one would know? Did you sleep with your friend's wife and kept it as secret and you think no one will know? Did you bring another man's child to your present husband's home and you are relaxed nothing will happen later?

Do you care to know? The truth will one day reveal itself and you will wonder how it came to expose itself. Nothing is hidden under the earth.

In my language, we do say "A hot pounded yam for 20 years will still be hot in your hand". This means that if you think you have covered up a wrong deed for many years and you are living a peaceful life, the day the truth is known, you will feel the repercussion.

This movie is all about a woman who was living with her two children (Pim and Putt) and she was promoted to a higher position at her place of work. She promised to take her children out to celebrate it but that same night when she was returning from work, she had an accident and was in coma. It was a 50% chance of waking up.

That same night, an old couple visited the children at home and revealed themselves as their grandparents which they were confused and surprised because their mother never told them anything about her family. They told the children about their mom and said the children would have to come live with them till their mom recovers.

The day they started living with their grandparents, that was the beginning of them knowing the truth that was covered for 15yrs.

It was the boy (Putt) who noticed a small hole on the wall and called his sister to come and take a look. They told the grandparent but they couldn't see the hole and it became another strange occurrence to the children. How could they see a small hole and they aren't seeing it?

The small hole kept calling them and when they take a look at it, they started seeing their mom and family 15yrs ago in the past. The hole was trying to reveal the secret but they aren't getting the message.

The mother fortunately came back to life and when she heard from the doctor that her children are with their grandparent, she forced herself out of the hospital and ran all the way to take her children away from them.

Before she got there, the grandmother had exposed some of the secrets but kept part of it. When the mother came, the children were happy and that was when the truth came out openly.

The grandmother poisoned the first child of her daughter (Pim and Putt's mother) because she was ugly and kept giving her milk as she gradually kills her till she died of rat poison as a frame-up story.

Putt was also a crippled child and since the children had started living with the grandparent when their mom was in the hospital, she had been giving him the same milk being poisoned.

Why would she do that? Because the first grandchild was ugly, she killed her and now she was about to do the same thing to her grandson again by killing him softly.

One way their father died and the movie was framed to think the grandfather killed him but who killed their father then?

This was something the children were eager to know when they finally left the house to their own home.

After 15yrs, the truth was revealed by a little light that shines on it. Pim and Putt were the light that revealed the truth camouflaged by darkness in a small hole.

Truth will always show up no matter how many years it has been kept hidden because without knowing the truth, the world will always be ignorant, but to save us from being ignorant, we are allowed to know the truth.

Always remember whatever you do today even though it isn't revealed to anyone, remember there is somebody who sees in the darkness and that is God. The truth will crawl itself out from the darkness when you do not expect or imagine it.
