I remained mute all through the bullshit talk. He finished eating his meal and offered to drive me home. “No thank you.” I responded and got into my ride. Second account blocked, how many more to go? The universe really wanted me to remain single. I wasn’t giving up .
“The prophetess said your husband is very close to you. I don’t know why you’re disturbing yourself going on these Twitter dates.” My older sister said to me when I got home. She was a religious fanatic and had been going to pastors begging them to look into my future.
“Please I beg you I don’t want to hear whatever your prophetess says. Your husband is still asking what you did with the family’s car, that should be your concern.” I responded. “God will handle our family’s situation. That is not your business.” “Of course, it isn’t!” I snapped.
I had two more dates to go and I knew if none went well, I was going to give up on the app in general. I had been single for four years, it seemed as though I was taking it as a degree. I said a silent prayer wishing the next went very well. Finding love wasn’t cheap at all.
Greg was a calm man I had met on a Twitter space. He seemed very reserved and told me how much he also wanted to find love. We agreed to meet next weekend and see how it went. I was indifferent about him. He was always busy and we never got to really chat as I wished.
Greg arrived earlier than I had expected as he had complained of a flat tyre. He looked great in his polo shirt and pants. He had a nice sense of fashion. “It’s so good to see you, Simi, you are more beautiful in person.” He complimented. I smiled. He was such a gentleman.
“So I shot my shot at you in that space and here we are!” He began and we both laughed. He smelled great too. But there was something off about him I couldn’t place. It was how uneasy he was in the midst of his cheerful nature. His eyes kept darting left and right. I wondered why
We ordered our meal and in no time, it arrived. “The best part of a date!” He said cheerfully as he ate. He was quite charming and I wondered if he was the one for me. “So Simi tell me more about you. We didn’t really seem to talk so much and I truly apologize.” He said.
I told him about my job, my family and my future plans. He seemed very much interested. He listened as I spoke and I watched his fingers as they handled the fork and knife and how he was very classy. And I kept on staring at his fingers.. my thoughts deepened. Those fingers…
Those fingers could work themselves on me. They could slide in and out and … I could notice something on one of his fingers. It had a ring mark on it. It was lighter than the rest of his fingers as though he had just taken off his wedding ring after a long time. Oh no!
I thought I was just being dramatic so I took my mind off it and focused on other things about him. “You are a very intelligent lady, if we were not on this date trying to work something out, I’d employ you at my company!” He started and I smiled. “How long have you been single?”

My 4 dates on Twitter - Part 1
**3rd of March, 2022.**
“If you were to do a hookup, how much would you charge?” He asked randomly. I couldn’t believe my ears. There I sat directly opposite him and enjoyed a great meal from the restaurant I had suggested. This was my first time meeting him after we had bantered for so long on the Timeline.
“Why would you ask that unprovoked? Did I strike you as someone who does hookups?” I inquired. I tried to act casual. “I thought we were randomly creating scenarios. You always do that on the TL, don’t you?” He pushed further. “You do know that is an out of place question.”
“You tweet out of place topics though. So tell me, how much would you charge if you were into that? Can I guess?” He suggested. There I sat, being humiliated because I openly made a tweet talking about how single I was and how I wanted to actively go on dates. This was my second.
“Are you getting offended? Please don’t . You can actually ask me how much I’d charge. Actually I’d charge 100k. Am I cheap?” And he burst out in an irritating laughter. I was disgusted. He struck me as an intelligent fellow on the timeline and that was why I agreed on the date.
“Ah don’t be angry. I can see your smile has faded. Let’s be free with each other na. If you would like us to go farther, we have to be able to joke. Do you want to know something wild about me?” He continued. He was really testing my patience.
I really should’ve known I couldn’t find love on Twitter. The first date had gone really terrible. He kept commenting on how I ate. “Are you sure you can finish that?” “Yes, why?” “You just seem like those prim and proper ladies that are very conscious of how much they eat.”
“You’re able to eat this much and not gain a single weight. Hmmm let me guess where the food is going.. those two on your chest!” He pointed out laughing. I had taken my bag and walked off that day, leaving him all alone at the bar. He tried reaching out after but I blocked him.
And there I sat again with this psychopath. “I know you will go on Twitter now and tweet about what I said, that’s how you e-feminists like to do. Harmless questions like this don't tweet everything. This is why I stay away from Twitter girls.” His demeanor changed suddenly.
“Did you just realize how stupid your question was and decided to become defensive?” I asked. “Let’s just stop going through the corners, I find you sexually appealing. And I know you have a price so just let me know, you can’t say you came here dressed like this without piping.”
I stared at myself again. I had worn a nice silk top which was unbuttoned from the first three buttons up. My cleavage was showing a bit and I had a jean on. I didn’t want to believe I looked like what he had in mind. And even if I did, he had no right to talk to me in that way.
“You’re a dirty pig.” I cursed. “I’m sorry please, I didn’t mean it. I was only trying to test you. I know you’re a proper lady, I swear I wanted to know your true intentions. I have always admired you and was happy you accepted to go out with me I swear. I am not a bad guy.”
“I’m not like what you think, someone suggested I try it and see if you will fall. I’m just a single dad looking for a classy lady to settle with. See Simi, don't be angry. I really admire you. What about your friends at home? You can order whatever you want for them I will pay.”

I am super excited and nervous at the same time after that long break from this platform. I really cannot explain the feelings right now, because I can't believe I was away for that long. I have always said to myself that I would never miss any day without writing and posting an article. Well, little did I know that I was merely joking 😂.
While I was away, I was following the incessant rise and dip in crypto. But, I guess it's a bit okay now compared to the last two weeks or so. I do hope I have missed so much?🤗 Or I rather say I have a lot of catch up to do.
After my experience, I have come to the realization that, unless one leaves a particular comfort zone, one will never aim for higher things. I'm kind of happy I was away, not that I got a better gig, but I was able to think beyond. I think it's good, sometimes, that we always take a little break from our jobs at one time or the other, probably for a week or more. It's always relieving and also, an eye opener to many and greater opportunities.
And please do not mind me, I had to put .5 as part of the number of days 😂. I guess that will attract you to want to read and view the article. But I guess the days are quite long, which I believe some will be so curious as to what led to that and also believe they can never be off for that long.
If you check through my post before I went on this break, I mentioned and explained in one of my articles about an industrial training I'd be going for then, a three month industrial training. I started this training on the 4th of January, which was supposed to last for a total of 12 weeks (3 months) but due to some reasons lasted just for 5 weeks as informed by the school management.
At first when I started the training, I was still active and continued writing and all. Then just after the first week, I started slowing down till I no longer write, due to the loads of work always on me, to the extent that whenever I get home I sleep Immediately. On the on other hand, I feel I was lazy because I couldn't have been shuffling things, because I'm not always busy on every days like that
But right now, I think I'm good. Although I'm resting this whole week, I would have to resume there, because there's a general industrial action(strike) by all academic staff under the label of ASUU, it's a union of the staff. Which means I have 4 more weeks of read.cash, resting, planning and many other things to myself.
In my subsequent article, I'll explain what we do there. I'm glad I had the experience, but more happy I'm back with all my good friends. Thank you to everyone that checked up during those times. Cheers to a bigger and better time on read.cash.

Bad luck or just a mere coincidence?

I know most people have had their experiences regarding this issue of bad luck. Some regard and have proven to be true, that certain calls, meeting some people, having a nightmare or other incidents during an expectant time causes disappointment or not being able to achieve the proposed success.
I started this discussion yesterday at my industrial training place yesterday and my people aired their opinion. Someone Said he does not dare pick any call from home when he's on a project. He further stated that such a thing has happened two to three times, in which he received a call from home, even when the project he was on was just at the last step. He eventually lost those projects in the long run.
I have always had people speak of bad luck, but I have never been this bothered. An incident occurred two days ago. This is all about the Nigeria men senior team. They are called the Super Eagles.

In Africa, there's always a football tournament for the senior men team across the continent, it's called the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon). It occurs biennially, every two years.
The tournament took off on the 8th or 11th I guess, of this month. The Nigeria football team comprises stars and young talents. The team was excellent in the group stages of the tournament. In fact, it was on the Super Eagles that qualified for the next round wish perfect point of 9 points, because they won't all their matches
Many professionals and ex players have already tipped Nigeria as the favorite to win this competition. But unfortunately, the Super Eagles got knocked out at the round of 16, a very early stage. Many Nigerians were disappointed after raising their hopes all high for the team.
But not long after the exit of the Super Eagles out of the competition, some information, investigative or maybe coincidences started coming up. The President of Nigeria has earlier called the team ahead of the clash in the round of 16, which many termed as bad luck.
It revealed many such situations in which the President did the same thing and ended in failure for them. Such as the senior women football team, the basketball team, the renowned boxer, Anthony Joshua and many more.
The way it was detailed and documented, one will surely be convinced that this is indeed bad luck. Ever since then I have been wondering if this really a bad luck or something just a mere coincidence.
It seems many have had their own portion and experiences of bad luck, which I'd like you to share. I still feel there's nothing as bad luck, it's just a coincidence. Whatever is meant to be is meant to. A call or an action cannot change or cause bad luck except it's spiritual, for those who believe in spirituality. If there's bad luck, then definitely there will be good luck.

Love is not enough

Humans are different, as are our personalities. This also makes our Opinion and take on issues to be different. This also applies to relationships. We all,. respectively, know what works for us in our relationships. Therefore, the basic principles about relationships are someone's and not a general belief.
I'd like to share someone's principles about relationships and also get reviews on it. I stumbled on his take recently. Though he only listed, I explained further.

Don't date while you're broke - Broke here means when you can hardly cater for your needs, not to talk of when you now have a partner. While in a relationship, though love is everything, the importance of money cannot be overemphasized. Sometimes, you will need to surprise your partner or go out or get them gifts. But without the funds it is impossible.
Chase money first - Focus on making money only. Because, If you chase after your partner, you will eventually lose money. When you finally have the bag, go for a partner who also took time to develop himself/herself financially. This gives room for financial Independence in the relationship
Date quality partners only - This means not going for less. For instance, a situation when you date someone because such persons do not have a partner for a long time or because the person's partner broke up with him/her.
Love is not only about sex and money - When in a relationship, partners are meant to know each other well, spend time together, be available for each other and many more. Date a partner who supports your vision - Because of a relationship, you should never sacrifice your purpose and vision. Being in a partner that thinks like you and supports your dreams makes it a lot easier, unlike someone that dislikes whatever your goal is. Even if your partner is rich, this still doesn't matter. Be with a partner of like minded
Avoid beaters/physical fights - This should be an immediate red flag. Once you discover your partner is a man beater or a woman beater, please take a leave. This is because it's never going to end well. I have seen relationships that led to marriage which should have never been, because of physical fight or beating between romantic partners and, where a partner keeps saying his/her partner will change. People never change in most cases.
Respect your partner - When outside or at different places, try and always have each other's back. Respect your partner amongst your friends, families, social media or any other place you may find yourself. Even when together, respect is reciprocal. This is not saying partners should never play roughs together, but in serious matters there should be an iota of respect for each other.
Never beg your partner to stay in the relationship - Begging your partner to stay in your Life or relationship is totally wrong. It should never get to that stage. When you do wrong, yes, apologize, misunderstanding is inevitable in relationships. Once your partner is done with you, don't start begging, it's very bad.

Make impacts - We rise by lifting others

Living a worthy and meaningful life is good but making impacts is great and future wise. Impact making is long lasting and even better. In the course of this article, we will understand better. Of course, when I say impacts, I mean positive ones, having great and strong influence on younger ones or people who are looking up to you.
There have been many stories and histories of great personalities in this world who lived a worthy life but are not really appreciated like the ones that impacted people in any aspect.
In one way or the other, in our lives, we must have had a scenario where we were like, "I'll never forget this person", aside from our parents. Why did we say that? This obviously because of the major impacts such people have made in our respective lives.
There was this time I finished high school, roughly 8 or 7 years ago, then I needed to engage myself while still processing my admissions into tertiary institutions and all. I knew I have always liked the sound of a piano and also wanted to play it. Actually, the Rhythm & Blues genre of music made me like the piano back then.
Then I went to one of my uncles, who is really good, to acquire the knowledge from him. He taught and deposited some knowledge in me. Till today, since then, I haven't forgotten that. There is no way I'd want to tell my piano story, that I won't include his name there and also hype him 😀.
You can impact people in any and every ramifications. Spiritually, academically, financially, career wise, maritally, business wise and so many others.
When you make an impact, it will never take anything from you, because I have come across and noticed many reputable personalities who don't always want to impact anyone one. Be it in academics, skills or even ways to make money that is in finances. Idy never blame them, because I myself have once been in their shoes.
You, impacting someone's life in any ramifications, doesn't bring you down or take anything away from you, infact, it helps in gaining more territories for you, now and in the future. Why will someone come to you to help such a person in finances or skills wise and you be reluctant to do so?
The day I read about Jay Jay Okocha, Ronaldinho and some other guys I was marveled. Jay Jay Okocha is a very skillful footballer when he was still actively playing. Most of his teammates in the club wherever he plays always acknowledge him of how he taught them many skills and impacted them while training together. He also taught Ronaldinho amongst many stars skills. Although Jay Jay didn't win the world best award or many trophies, the people he impacted did. Till today, there's no way Ronaldinho and others will want to talk about their football journey and won't mention Jay Jay Okocha.
If you feel you have the capacity to impact someone and no one is coming throughout, which is so rare, please try and force someone you think will need it. The thing is you will start getting the rewards while you're still alive, not even when you're dead. As you are living for yourself, live for others too. It really pays
It's just the way I'll never forget the person that introduced me to this platform. Many of us are always reluctant to tell people to read cash. The dilemma of choices in a relationship

It's really been a while here 😃. I guess I'm back and better. Anyways, the Harmattan here has been really crazy. Apart from the fact that I'm quite allergic to cold, for the past two weeks now, it's been a war😂, because I have been dressing as if the weather is in negative degree Celsius (-°C). But, it has been really cold here. All thanks to the hot bath as well.
There is this discussion that has a point of attraction here in Nigeria online and also offline. It has gathered a lot of views, and I thought I'd share it here as well. Let's get straight to the discussion.
There is this romantic relationship, I do not know for how long it has been, but I'm sure it has been on for a while. The reason I said this is obvious and would be revealed in the course of this article. However, the supposed girlfriend, who is just 22 years of age, just got a fully funded Masters scholarship Abroad, and now left in a dilemma. The reason it's a dilemma is because the boyfriend has asked the girlfriend to choose between himself or the scholarship. You laughed right 😂.
They ain't even married yet!
*The Question is, if you find yourself in this type of a situation, as a man, will you ever ask your partner to choose between the relationship and the scholarship. Also, as a lady, what will your choice be?*
First, when I saw this, I actually dropped my phone and thought about this. Though, many people have been making humors out of this scenario, but it's a critical one. These are things that are occurring from time to time in our environment or let me say amidst us. This is just one of thousands of many situations like this that has made its way out on the internet and it's so pathetic.

My thoughts
I do not know why in society, women are always left with this type of situation of choosing either between their career or marriage or children and many more. Because if it was the other way round, I do not think the lady will ever tell her partner to choose between the fully funded scholarship and the relationship.
If it was me, first off, I'd never tell anyone to choose or put them in a dilemma. I understand from the point of view of the boyfriend. He might actually be doing this for love sake, maybe he doesn't want his partner to be far away from him. Because there have been so many situations like this that the lady will later on say she isn't interested after meeting another person, even when her studies was fully funded by her partner.
As a 22 year old lady, you should not be even found in this type of dilemma, even if you're 30. You should know it's your career first, if your partner really loves you, he will support you and not make you start choosing. A fully funded scholarship Abroad is not easy to come by. To crown it all, you guys ain't even married yet. Moreover, there's no assurance that he wouldn't break up with you even after dancing to his tunes.
Lastly, like I said, this is my opinion, emphasis on MY. I'd love to have yours as well.

Delay is not denial

Since I started my Industrial training, I have not been active for like two weeks now. My articles have been so irregular. This I'm not happy with, but I do have no choice. It takes much of my time, because everyday except Sundays, I go to work from 8AM till 6PM. I'll write an article very soon on industrial training
*Have you ever planned to be somewhere at a particular time and be delayed? How did you feel?*
Delay in this article sense, is to be stopped or retarded for a time, emphasis on for a time, not forever. Delay causes heartbreaks, weeping, depression doubts in oneself and many more.
One time or the other in our lives, we've all experienced delay, either someone delayed us or something. This is very normal and expected in life. Delay can be in academics, finances, marital wise, career wise, marriage, childbirth, man's desire and so on. These are things that cannot be explained. For instance, a couple that got married, and couldn't have at least a child after some years except if there was a planning, is being delayed even when they are both medically fit. These are situations that are unexplainable
Success comes when you value time by using it profitably. It comes over time; delay is not denial! Some of us keep missing the breakthrough because we don't want to cross the bridges of growth that look like weakness, solitude, loneliness, and delay.
There is a purpose in what you are going through. It could be that the delay is to teach you,build you and strengthen you. You may be going through this because how you respond may influence others in their decisions. It is possible that wading through all of this mess in your life will help you lead someone else through a similar circumstance later on. You may not see the purpose of the struggles until much later.
I remember when I finished high school and I couldn't gain admission to my desired school immediately, because I couldn't meet up with the course cut offs, I was really down, in fact, I cried my eyes out. This was because I was seeing my mate having the same admission. I had to summon myself up and wake up to the task.
Eventually, I had the admission after the third attempt. Nevertheless, I was a bit happy because of the growth during those times. I learnt some skills and even got exposed to things I would never have been exposed to if I had had the admission immediately. I was delayed but never denied.
A delay is not denial, but a time of preparing you for the promise. It is very hard when it seems like there's no progress. But that doesn’t mean you aren't moving or won't move. Never give up, because whether you see evidence of it or not right now, one thing is definite, there's growth and progress. Whenever you feel discouraged or start to wonder if the world is against you, always be positive minded and speak and profess good things to whatever it may be.
Know that life is full of ups and downs. So no one will ever have it going all smooth without an iota of delay in between. Just prepare for this and know that It's to make you stronger and build you for greater places. For those that believe in prayer too. It may seem like it's late, but it's never late.

Stop the assumptions, meet people first!

Assumption can also be termed as a guess, when we assume, it's always used when there's uncertainty or there are no correct figures about something or someone. Assumption has really eaten deep to the extent that people just take a guess about anything. You find a situation whereby, someone is asked about maybe his/her colleagues, and the response will be like "I think he/she had gone out", whereas, the person is probably in the restroom or somewhere else.
Even in some crucial sectors like in the Mass media, for example journalism. We all know journalism requires some certain and special skills to avoid guess work. Unfortunately, we now have different journalists who do not find the truth about incidents, but are quick in taking a lot of guesses. In which this causes a lot of havoc or serious misunderstanding and thoughts in people's minds.
I have heard and encountered different situations whereby someone kept acting and behaving to another because of how the person looks. For instance, a friend once told me about another person she hasn't met or engaged with that she knows the person is arrogant and is also not friendly. Then I asked how she found out. She then said can't I see the person's face and how the person walks. I was angry and at the same time laughing like are you for real?.
Another one is behaving to a fellow human based on what was said or heard about them. There was this incident that happened to me not quite long. This person is like a school friend and senior colleague, he will always talk down on his coursemate, and will always want me to react to them based on that
So smart of me, I ignored him and actually got close to all the people he talked bad about. After my dealing with those people, I found out that they are nice people and very opposite to what I was told about them. I was so happy that I didn't react badly or conclude just like that. I later found out this person painted them badly because of an inside issue they had.
It will never cost you anything to go and meet any one, instead of you assuming and concluding in your mind that a person is this and that. In fact the majority of people that always seem unfriendly in face are always very friendly. Some people are just like that in appearance.
Let's be practical, it's just normal. A person you don't know or have never met before, you cannot expect such persons to start cracking jokes with you or behave like how your known friends do. You will need to meet them first, study and later on engage. It's always a process, it may be a short one or a time taking one. In a nutshell, *let's all try as much as possible to stop the assumption!!.* There is a saying that says seeing is believing. Find out from the person yourself.
It's very bad to conclude or react based on what you heard or were told about another person. Try to meet the person first and engage them, even if it's for the benefit of doubts. They might not be a bad person but just a misconception.

African Time.

I'm yet to discover why it is called African time till today. Maybe, because Africa is known or perceived to be a continent full of unshaped, rough or other atrocities. Recently, I learnt that the people in diaspora think or imagine Africa as bush, forest or wilderness. I'd never blame anyone, because a place that is truly underdeveloped, with a high percentage of insecurities, poverty and so on, should be seen or truly perceived as a bush.
Here in my country or the continent at large, when something is not right or bad, we attach our names to it or rather take possession of it, to reveal that yes, we own it. Merely hearing "African time'' is obvious and no need to tell anyone that it is for Africans. The reason it is generalized, is because, we as Africans are known for it. "African time" means lateness
African time has become so normal and gotten to a stage where there's no program that will hold, be it a religious one, a seminar, dinner, party etc, where it won't be indicated with capitals that,"No African Time". It is now so common, or let me put it like this that it has become the new normal.
Even at work, where money is being earned, except in some highly prolific or a standard place of work that will not condone it. For instance, It's funny how a meeting or whatever gathering it might be for 8AM will never start until like 10AM. It's actually annoying and I guess everyone is guilty of this. There is nothing good as making it some minutes before or on the dot for a meeting.
This has even eaten deep into relationships. A friend of mine shared one of her relationship experiences with me. She said her boyfriend and her were supposed to go for a dinner date, they already agreed on the venue and time as well. My friend got to the venue before the agreed time, but the boyfriend got there after an hour 😭. This is extremely bad.
The major thought I believe most people always have is that, they can't start exactly by the time or it is African time. My belief or opinion is that any kind of meeting scheduled for a particular time should start as planned. Whether people are around or not. This will help in reducing or totally erasing the supposed inevitable "African time". When people know that this particular organization or religious gathering starts exactly at their stipulated time, they will change and get used to it. In fact, they will be the one telling others about the system.
I never had any intention to write about this topic, until an incident occurred to me this week. So, this person and I had an agreement to meet somewhere, so that we can both go together because I do not know the place. The most annoying part was that it was the person that needed me to help out with something. In a nutshell, I legitimately stood up for 3 hours under a very intense harmattan, because it was in the morning and an environment I'm not familiar with. I cannot cry.🙂
Personally, I do not like going for any agreed upon program, meeting or gathering late, I like getting to the venue some minutes before. In fact, when I notice I'm already late, I'd rather not go anymore, because I'd be feeling unserious and bad. I have had many experiences of African time, but the inspiration to write about it came from a place of tarring for 3 hours in my recent encounter.
I love football. Amongst other things I have seen and read, since the day I started watching European football matches, maybe just one or two matches didn't start at the stated time. And the ones that didn't start at the planned time were due to unavoidable technical issues. I believe other continents do not joke with agreed time.
There's actually nothing in going as early as possible to a place, let people know you for it. It's a good thing and it tells a lot already about such persons even before engaging them. Even if it's glaring, others won't be there early, you go there early.
The day we start to go against "African time", we start to have professionalism, more profit, bigger trust and humanity.

To survive, we all need to have something we do in exchange of money, so that we can survive and buy things we need for ourselves. That which we need to have in exchange is a job or a service rendered. As we all know, no man is an island of himself. Therefore no man can do a thousand jobs or render many services, this is why there will be different personalities either by unemployment or by choice.
One thing to note is that not everyone will engage or have some white collar jobs, these things are by choice. Even though some people finally opt in for other Jobs aside that maybe because of unemployment or frustration or some other reasons best known.
Every job or service rendered by different people is very essential no matter how clean or dirty the job may seem. For example, A banker with a supposed decent job that has a car will sometimes need the car to be washed, serviced by Engineers or need the tires to be pumped. All of these can never be done by such a banker. He/she will need the service of those people, which is also vice versa. Imagine in that situation, if there are no car engineers, vulcanizers or car cleaners, how is such a banker going to cope with the busy schedule of bankers and all.
The most irritating thing I have found some people say is that, why is it that those with the dirty jobs didn't get education or go to school. It's always painful, even if that is the reason for them ending or finding themselves in that kind of a job, which might be true to some extent back in the days but not now, because we now have more graduates in Africa at large doing those jobs because of the rate of unemployment. It still doesn't change the fact that some people are needed in that sector for things to run smoothly in the society.
The disrespect
During the total lockdown that hit the world in 2020 due to the outbreak of covid-19, I engaged myself in one of the dirty jobs because I was tired of staying indoors and I wanted to try something different. Although, I was placed in the supervising and auditing sector. This gave me the opportunity to see how people treat individuals with the tagged dirty jobs.
There's a popular saying in business that customers are always right, yes it is true because such a firm is trying to convince the customer and sell their markets. But some customers are always eager and ready to look down and talk trash of these people which is not right. For crying out loud, these people are rendering a service to you like you also do in your different place of work.
Let's all know that these people are very essential too and they are also in their offices, no matter how dirty the environment or work may seem. We should learn to respect people for every jobs and not look down on any one, be it a driver, conductor, garbage disposers, cleaners or any other supposed dirty jobs or services. If you have been doing it, stop it and act like an educated person you claim to be. This should also be told to people.

Celebrate your loved ones when they are still alive
4th of January, 2022.
I do not know if I'm happy or not, probably mixed feelings, today being the first day of my Industrial training. This is because I know it's going to be work, work and work😢. But who am I to complain, that's what I signed up for when I chose an engineering course. It's going to be 3 months of industrial training before I finally have my 6 months this same year. I'm happy anyways and a bit nervous😂. It isn't my first industrial training though.
I tried to sleep early last night, so as not to sleep past the time to resume this morning. Something came to my mind just now 😂. I remember when we were younger, how anxious and eager we always were for any event we have really anticipated, maybe Christmas, sallah or any other ones. Some even go as far as putting their new clothes and shoes beside them when about sleeping 😭. I think it still happens to some adults till now, and this occurs when one is extremely happy and looks forward to a day. It's never a bad habit as far as I am concerned.

So back to where I was, the company actually has a staff bus and it's always in a particular place, where all the staff around the vicinity will join to go to work. I got there in time to avoid stories that touch and also, to create a very good impression, just like the saying that "first impression goes a long way". The main discussion
I find it hard to know why people don't appreciate their loved ones, friends and family, unless they die. I have sat and thought about this, it is so true. The only times a little appreciation is done is when they die or maybe on such a person's birthday.
I have a friend that always clamor that we, her friends must celebrate her birthday, even if we wouldn't on some other days. I'm the type of person that doesn't really fancy birthday celebrations and all, so I sat her down one day to discuss this issue. It was a lengthy one and I came to the realization that it's actually a bad thing to only appreciate and celebrate people when they are dead.
For instance, there was this Nigerian celebrity that died probably two months ago. I guess he died as a result of Cancer. Shortly after his death or the second day of his death, people started coming on social media, even celebrities, singing his praises. Apparently, he has helped a lot of people, including his fellow celebrities even when he knew he had cancer. Infact, I was sad at that time. Why now? Someone did something huge like this, and you couldn't sing his praises until he died. Some will even need help but wouldn't get it, but when such a person is dead, friends and families will want to sponsor the funeral, to make it a befitting and an elaborate one.
Come to think of it, if you truly love someone and care for them, you should celebrate them when they can see it or hear it or feel it, not when such a person cannot hear, see or feel the appreciation or the celebration. There have been many cases of these, when it happens only when the person is dead. That's when you know that the person did this and that or have really made impacts in people's life.
I watched a movie one time, I think it should be **Coming to America2.** The dying king made sure he saw his funeral, like it was done in his presence while he was still alive before he eventually died. It was kind of funny to me because here, and even according to our culture, I don't think it's right. But looking at it from the other view, I like it, you get to see what will be done and said to you after one's death.
It's best we change this narrative and start appreciating and also celebrating our loved ones, even when they are alive.

2022 - The beginning of a [New season].
1st of January, 2022.
Oh my God! It's the first day of the year. I still can't believe this is 2022 already, I know this is stale in places like the Philippines and the United States of America amongst other countries, because they are some hours ahead of us here. I am of the opinion and reason like many others, that it's just another day 😂. Yes, it's just another beautiful Saturday, yesterday was Friday. Regardless, it's another year, this is 2022 and I am really happy and grateful.
It has always been the normal routine here for a New year. We'd all have been in church by 5PM on Christmas Eve and have the crossover service till the following day, which is the new year. Then after, we go back to bed while Mom stays up for a few minutes or roughly an hour in Kitchen even at midnight, to prepare what we would all eat in the morning. Then, when it's morning we start the celebration properly, sharing food with the neighborhood, hosting extended families, playing all together and undergoing any other thorough enjoyment you can name.
2022 is here again, and there are a lot to unfold and in stock either good or bad. Just like the previous years. For instance, who would have thought that there will be a lockdown in almost all the world in 2020 due to the deadly covid-19 pandemic and so many other things. Therefore, one has to be hopeful and prayerful ( for those that believe in prayers) that the year is going to be a fruitful and blessed one. Like myself, I believe and I hope, even with hard work, Grace and power of prayer, that 2022 is going to be a massive year in all ramifications.
In 2021, I embarked on a journey of financial Independence. But by the Grace of God, I want to be more independent. Presently I'm still a University student, an undergraduate. I stopped asking for funds from home in the previous year, unless they send. I wish and I want this to continue and even start sending my parents and younger siblings money, this I pray.
I also want this platform, read.cash to keep flourishing and progressing. The platform has been the hope of many out there, especially students and single Mom. This however is a good thing and a blessing. It has also been a side support for many individual businesses and work. Many still don't know what to venture into or do with their lives, but once there is direction, there's victory ahead. The celebration has started, I will eat and drink but not in excess. Because I remember that year I did, I never liked myself 😂. Officially, we have a few hours left into 2022, less than 24 hours to be precise. 2021 was not an easy journey for many, due to what many faced individually and also everyone at Large. The covid-19 had a major effect on people and their businesses or work. Although for some, it had a positive effect while a negative effect on many.

There are situations where a parent will know the beginning and the end of his/her children. So sad! Everyone in the world had followed their destiny. In our different places of worship, we were made to know that everyone had chosen their destiny themselves right before they were born. It sounds so strange to me when I hear people saying destiny can be changed, which is far from the truth. Destiny we chose is prewritten, but with prayer and determination, it can be rewritten.
Being unaware of destiny has led the world into being in a haste to acquire fortune. We now live in a generation of competition. The world is now on the run, because they want to be like or better than the other, not minding the fact that everyone has his/her own time zone. At all costs, youth of this generation want to ride the latest car, wear the latest designer, and own the latest phone. They just want to be in vogue and be in the world of possessing the latest, forgetting that one day they will be late Mr. /Mrs.

What is my destiny? What is your destiny? What is our destiny? These are the questions that should always strike our mind whenever we find ourselves in a situation of low profile. I have seen brilliant people who die in absolute poverty while the illiterate enjoy the luxury of life. Whether we will be rich or not, no one knows because destiny was never revealed to us. But if you believe that there is destiny, you just have to be prayerful and determined.
If you’re running a business not in line with your destiny, surely it will never be successful and finally it will be left uncompleted. Same is applicable to students studying in a university which is not in line with their destiny, despite their struggles they don’t come out victorious. Due to these reasons, some students die in the process or commit suicide because they were struggling against their destiny. In the beginning of every year, we make resolutions to do this and that before the year runs out, not checking if our destiny sustains our life to the mid-year.
What destiny have you chosen? Are you living in a victorious or futile world? Try and check if things are going well with you. Always give a second thought to the business you’re running, the course you’re studying, the school you’re in, the one you love, etc. Be sure they are part of your destiny. It was Christmas two days ago and boxing day yesterday!!! Funny enough when I was small, I believe most of us likewise, thought it was a day specifically set aside for fighting, like boxing each other 😂. I was always afraid back then when it's the 26th day of December.

I have never imagined I could actually be so attached to something which I would most likely not do with for a day. I have always wondered when I hear or listen to different stories of friends, movies, books and all, of them being attached to something, and when such things are lost or missing, they are down or feel heartbroken. For instance, the death of favorite pet or person, break-up in relationships and lots more
This is what I experienced a day before Christmas. Just some hours before the 25th of December, I tried to come on read.cash to engage articles as I have always done from time to time. Unfortunately, I was unable to use this platform. Initially, I thought it was a minimal issue, until I tried using it some hours later. When I tried using it the first time, it kept bringing out some information which I didn't take seriously, not until I couldn't the next time. I paid serious attention to the information, it says

Then, I sent a complaint mail to the said email address almost immediately. The error was however resolved before 12 hours after sending the mail.

In fact, I was emotional and I never thought or imagined that side of me. I could not post any articles for two days. It was after this incident I knew and felt how it is to be so attached to something.

From the title itself, many might start thinking if one does put one hope on men then who?. First, I do not mean it that way. There are several real stories and incidents where a particular rich individual doesn't help or lift his/her siblings, even of the same parents. I'm sure someone that has never experienced or heard this will be like, is it possible? I had to come in through this to open the understanding of a few people.
Some may say it is spiritual or even Beyond the physical realm. I will never be surprised, because why should I be?. There have been cases where the children of some parents don't take care of their own parents, who suffered and went through many things because of them. Maybe we should not even talk about friends, business associates or someone who you've helped or been there for in their times of troubles and tribulations.
Since I was young, some things had happened, to the tiniest things to never put my total dependence on, because in a few cases when I would be expecting something, but get disappointed. It brings about the feeling of being betrayed, disappointed or even cheated. This made me have little or no expectations from anything or anyone. In my mind, I'd just be like it might not come, though still hoping. This has helped and prepared me to avoid many disappointments.
It is good to be expectant, but at same time, this is Life. Therefore, this is where I am coming from when I say why put your hope on Men. It's still human beings that will help or lift you in all spheres of Life, but while doing this, we should be aware that it can as well be 50:50
Lastly, we can only hope, pray (for those that believe in prayers), work harder and wait. Men can help And as well disappoint. This is no way of them being a bad person, humans are designed that way and for some, a lot of reasons might have been the cause which is unknown to the expectant.

A Short Story
There was a community, with A king and many Chiefs.The King had just a son. The residents of the community were really many. Over the years, the community has been suffering from many attacks from neighboring communities, even from smaller ones. Also, from diseases, pain, agony, different losses and a lot more.
After different consultation and enquiries from the gods, it was revealed that a human must travel to a jungle of the unknown for a total sacrifice, that is, someone from the community. The matter was tabled to the chiefs and also to the residents. Unfortunately no one was ready to willingly surrender, as it was stated that it might be a journey of no return
After waiting for days, weeks and even months, still no one was willingly to be a sacrifice for the community. But on a fateful day, the only son, the Prince of the King, gathered everyone together to make an announcement. There,the Prince said he was willing to sacrifice his Life. It was a tense atmosphere, the King and others were shocked. Like the only son of the King? The heir to the throne?.
Finally after the different meetings, summon, appealing, begging. The King agreed to the wish of his son.The son went on the sacrificial journey and it was a success. The community lived happily and peacefully thereafter.
**Jesus the world hero**
The story above is a similar representation of what Christ did for all of us in the world. Who can actually do what He did then, now? To go on a journey of the unknown and be a sacrifice for the sins or punishment you know nothing about? I really do not think anyone will be willing to do that. He is therefore our superhero. When no one could come through, Jesus came through
Love
Love has many definitions and interpretations. But it's relative, it depends how you have experienced or felt it. Just like every other love,be it a romantic relationship, family love, brotherhood, where one person can go to extras because of the other person. Christ love is the greatest. For somebody to decide to leave all his glory and honor up there and come to this world, to save all sinners from all the atrocities and wickedness of the earth. Also, to reconcile with the father and bring about direct communication with Him.

I had wanted to write since that day, but I have not been in the mood I knew I needed that distinct mood to pen down a Christmas challenge winning article. Back then, in the early 2000s when I was younger, like six years old, I was so unhappy and had such a great sadness, I do not think I have had a greater since then. It was then that my friend's grandmother died. Before then, she would normally sit every day on her locally made stool in her room, and tell us all stories. It was such a fulfilling and unbothered life then. No other children had such happy times as we did😂 but we were eventually hit with boredom she died😀
I really cannot remember much but I remember that she had a white hair and also couldn't see very much. After her death, I can recollect that we children were brought forward to touch her hand, but we were afraid to do it. But then my mother said to us that it would be the last time we could thank grandmother for all the pleasure she had given us
Then, it felt like it was the end of the world, no one had such a time to sit us down and tell us stories anymore 😂. And I remember that gradually we adapted and started living our lives like other children😀.
However, even till today, after roughly sixteen years, the stories about Christmas, which I heard out back then, there awakes within me the little stories of Jesus' birth that my friend's late grandmother used to tell, and I feel the need to tell it once again as my entry for the #BCHNigerianForumXmasChallenge
It was Christmas eve and our mothers were out cooking for the following day while some of our fathers were still yet to be back. We were all alone in the house and not allowed to come outside because it was cold and at the same time dark. But as we sat inside in our loneliness, grandmother began to tell a story.

What kind of Night is this? A Holy Night?
It was about a man who went out in the dark night to borrow firewood to light up and warm both his wife and the baby, because his wife literally just put to bed . He went everywhere. Unfortunately, it was in the night, nobody replied because the villagers had slept.
The man walked as far as he could, and eventually, he saw a glimpse of a fire light. Then he went in that direction and saw that it was an open fire. All of these sheeps were asleep, even around the fire, and a particular old shepherd sat and watched over the flock.
The man got there and saw that there were Wolves around the place, so instead of him running away, he insisted and moved closer. The wolves opened their mouths as if they wanted to attack, but couldn't.
The man thought he should move closer to get what he wanted. The sheep laid so close to one another that he couldn't pass them. Therefore, the man had to walk on the animals. Surprisingly, it was all perfect as the sheep and wolves lost their consciousness
The shepherd gained his consciousness when the man was about to reach the fire. The shepherd was an unfriendly old man. The moment he saw the man coming towards him, he stretched forth to pick the rod he uses for the sheeps and threw it at the animals to wake them so that they could attack the man. But the rod went astray still.
When the man got to the shepherd, he told him to give him firewood that his wife had just put to bed and they needed to be warmed up. Ordinarily, the shepherd would not have answered him, but he couldn't fight it when he realized the wolves and sheeps didn't regain their consciousness still after. He was quite inquisitive to know who the man was.
Although the fire was nearly burnt out, the Shepherd told him to take as much as he wanted just to scare him and send him away because there were no logs or branches anymore, only the coals and ashes. Surprisingly still, the man took the coals with his bare hands
When the shepherd saw all of these, he was still amazed. What type of man and night is this? That the wolves refused to attack using bare hands to park coals of fire. The shepherd then decided to follow him, that he might soon make a fire and warm his wife and child.
Then the shepherd saw the man didn't have a real house or hut to live in, and his wife and the newly birthed baby were lying barely on the floor where there's so much cold. The shepherd was compassionate and gave a cloth to keep the baby warm. Immediately he did this, he started seeing and hearing mysterious things, even about Angels singing that a Savior was born who should save the world from sins. He was so happy because his eyes had been opened that he fell upon his knees and Praised God.
Conclusion
The shepherd however discovered the uniqueness of Christmas through everything that happened. It was indeed a Holy and mysterious Night. The night Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem. After so many years, the birth of Jesus Christ is still being celebrated yearly across the world. This shows how significant that Night was. The Holy Night 😍

3 Note to self

Last night when I was going through articles to engage, then I stumbled on @Jumper-01 article, titled Note to self in which in his words in quote he says; https://read.cash/@Jumper-01/note-to-self-865109c1
"*And so, as the year draws to an end I came up with a few notes that I wanted to give to myself for the coming year. Some of these notes are life-long points I intend to Live by for the rest of my life, others are plans, experiments and challenges for the future*".
The moment I saw the article, I loved it because it is about things we would all love to live by to have a better life. It may be as a result of an experience or probably a research, and I felt it's something everyone should do or have even if you won't be writing about it. This will be my first entry for any challenge or call on read.cash since I joined two weeks ago. In the light of this, I'm also going to make a list of some important points, 3 points to be precise of the #NOTEtoself2022. Shall we begin?
1.
To never conclude or react to people based on what I heard or I was told about them
I have encountered many situations or circumstances in my life in which someone I know will tell me something about a stranger or person in which I have never met with or discussed with, in order to react to them based on that. Thankfully for me, another happened to me of recent, this person is like a school friend and senior colleague, he will always talk down on his coursemate, and will always want me to react to them based on that
So smart of me, I ignored him and actually got close to all the people he talked bad about. After my dealing with those people, I found out that they are nice people and very opposite to what I was told about them. I was so happy that I didn't react badly or conclude just like that. I later found out that a friend of mine painted them badly because of an inside issue they had.
It's very bad to conclude or react based on what you heard or were told about another person. Try to meet the person first and engage them, even if it's for the benefit of doubts. They might not be a bad person but just a misconception.
2.
To always put what I do out there for people to see and know and as well celebrate my small wins.
This year taught me this and I will definitely continue to do this more. Me being on this platform is as a result of me putting out what I do out for everybody to see. It happened that I'm part of quite a number of press Organizations and also I'm into many writings, be it copywriting, content writing, book review, transcribing and so on.
On the said day, I finished work and put it out, after getting many reviews, a particular @Abhay DMed me. Although we've only met once before then, he then explained and gave me full information about read.cash. I called that day blessed. Hence, I thought to myself, what if I had not put my work out there, he wouldn't have said anything, not alone the opportunity coming in. This would make me always get what I do out, to make friends and family aware of what I do.

To be More of a giver than a receiver.
Read.cash is a platform to better explain this. The more you give, the more you have and come back to you. This is more like a basic life rule. On read.cash the more you upvote or sponsor, the more you're known and people will also want to reciprocate the kind gesture. This is why you see people like @MarcDeMesel , upvoters, sponsors have more, it's a basic principle of Life.

Take a break and enjoy yourself

The way every living being is designed is that we all have strength to work, move around and all of that, but the place of rest cannot be ignored or belittled. Why? Living beings including animals have different things in the body that keeps them going such as muscles, strength and so on, which after working tirelessly for some particular time would definitely ask for a break.
Let me use human beings as an example for the universal form of rest. When you go out to work on a daily basis except those that work remotely, or go for any sort of event or probably any kind of activity that would require going out, and you get back. I do not think any person will come back and say he or she does not sleep. In fact, I can categorically say that it's impossible to work for hours or days without sleeping, except if it is a robot. Therefore, we can deduce that sleep is an essential form of rest needed by every living being
A break or rest can therefore be in different forms. Even though sleep is the universal form of rest in all human beings, nevertheless, some individuals have their own ways of taking a rest. Some believe in taking a work, clubbing, dancing, going on a dinner date or different sight seeing, listening to music, sex and just many more. It depends on each individual and whatever works for such persons
All these forms of rest or relaxation helps in some undesired situation an indication might find himself or herself. It helps in clearing minds, restrategizing, helps mental health and so on. A person with perfect rest is always said to be energetic and be ready for any work he or she is meant to do. The importance of rest cannot be overemphasized
End of the year rest
However, it is expected that everyone must have worked or been working since the start of the year and all through the year, which is from January. *After every effort and emotions put in working, do you know that you sure deserve a rest?* Not just an ordinary rest, but a premium enjoyment 😍. Yes, you sure deserve one and it's never late before the year runs out. It doesn't take much from you to enjoy yourself and make yourself feel good.
Yes, it's obvious you have worked throughout the year, even if your earnings are not what you've always pictured or imagined, still go out there or do something unique you haven't done for yourself this year to give yourself a treat and make yourself happy. If no one has told you this, I am telling you that you have done wonderfully well and you deserve the very best.
Here are a few things you can do to take a break this December and enjoy yourself
*Tour or sight seeing* - Going on different tours and sightseeing is one of the best ways to enjoy yourself. This will help you to clear your mind, make you happy and at the same time resting your mind from any worry. All countries have nice places in which one can explore to have a taste of this.
*Visit family and friends* - You can kill two birds with just a stone. Visiting friends and family is a way to link up with your people in this season of love after a demanding and no break year. Also at the same time, it will give you memories, while you laugh and gist.
*Do something special* - You might not necessarily go out to enjoy yourself, but you can do something unique even at your house. For instance, if you love cooking and you haven't been eating a particular type of delicacy, you can always try to do that and eat thereafter. The point is doing something you would ordinarily not do, just to make yourself happy.
*Cinema or live shows*- This festive period, there are always new and big movies to be aired or shown because it's Christmas season, also at the end of the year. Likewise, musical and comedy shows of your favorite artiste just to unwind yourself.

It never stops

It's a brand new day and week, most importantly, it's Christmas week. Christmas is in five days and I am excited. I'm definitely sure we all are. Apart from the fact that I had a very cold weekend, my weekend was very fine. The most beautiful thing was that the football club I support, Arsenal FC, was excellent during the week, while a particular blue team kept messing around 😂.
From the origin of creation of humans, humans are beings, in such a way that they just possess some certain qualities or attributes such as greediness, covetousness, love and many more. But out of all the attributes, one if most found in humans is unsatisfaction, the spirit of wanting more and more.
This attribute is so rampant amongst humans, as it's not only found in adults but also in children, teenagers and youth. Wanting more of everything and being never satisfied is not a bad attribute, this is expected in all human beings. It's a desire that longs for more, not settling for less or little. This can also be in the form of covetousness too or as a result of just the natural spirit in humans. We live in an environment that is never satisfied and always desires more, more money, more clothing. In fact, in many ways, the pursuit of more defines our entire society. More power, more wealth, more prestige, more reputation, more sex, more, more and more.

But there is a problem with the lifestyle choice of desiring more. When we constantly desire more, we are never satisfied. Because no matter how much we accumulate or achieve, more always exists. Mere looking or examining, it is unquenchable. No matter how much money is in your bank account, there can always be more. No matter how big your house, there can always be more. No matter how many likes on your Instagram post or views on your Tik-Tok videos, there can always be more.
When more is the goal, we never fully arrive. It is insatiable. And that is the problem with always wanting more. Happiness and contentment will always elude us if we are looking for it in the acquisition of more. I suppose, if it was commonplace to see an end to this pursuit, that would be a different story. If human beings eventually arrived at a level of more, and suddenly became content, we could all strive to reach that level. But that is not the example surrounding us. Quite the opposite in fact. Most everybody who acquires more, only continues to pursue it.
We see it in the lives of individuals who amass great fortunes but are not satisfied. We see it in the world’s largest corporations who continue to pursue greater and greater market share and profits. We see it in those who acquire power and then work relentlessly to keep it and expand upon it.
This act of wanting more starts from childhood to adulthood. There were times where all a child would ask for a chocolate or a certain amount of money, then it gradually changed to bigger things. Also as adults there was a time all you wanted was just $1 then it changes to $50 then you think you can even have more then houses, more and better shoes, clothes, phones, then cars and many things you can ever imagine or think of and so on, it never stops.
There is a saying that says that "the crying of a baby changes as he/she grows". From this saying, it says it all that as humans, the more we group, the more we get exposed to things or progresses, our desires, needs or wants also changes. This however does not stop until death comes.
In fact, any person that doesn't strive for more is seen as being stagnant, not making any progress and such person existence should be questioned or maybe such a person needs help.

I never planned to write any article today, but I became so angry and got in the mood to write after my conversation with a very good friend. This friend of mine is so knowledgeable and the last time I engaged in such a conversation was 2018/19 with my then roommates. This person has a different perspective on life.
Amongst many things we discussed, I'd like to share this particular one. First, the kind of person I am, I love anything social, entertainment industry, fashion and anything that goes in line with that. This friend of mine loves fashion so much from his dressing and all. If you're a person either male or female, once you don't have the regular fashion sense or style, I'll always want to be close.
Our discussion started from how the fashion the world is going back to now is something that has been done in the past, from the big trousers, dreadlocks, afro and many more. Earlier this week, I read an article of @Theblackdoll where she complained about how society pictures and stereotypes anyone that dresses in a certain type of way.
My Question is why should anyone that has some type of fashion sense or dresses in a type of way be a problem to society?.

Not one or two have I witnessed elderly ones, whether in the market or other places, shouting and insulting young Ladies they do not know, because she's dressed in a type of way, maybe she put on revealing clothes and all.
My friend that I conversed with is a male. He explained to me how he was walking down the street on a particular day and a particular man was parked by his side. He thought the man wanted some kind of description. But annoyingly, you wouldn't believe the Man parked just to ask him why he dyed his hair? Like for real?. My friend does many styles, sometimes he plaits or changes hairstyles to many forms. But the one I'm talking about is just his normal hair, in which the upper part is tinted.
I believe, there is a right to dress in whatever way you deem fit. The point is, some people just love fashion and not your regular dressing sense. People have made stereotypes of people that have tattoos, dreadlocks, plait hair (male), wear revealing dresses, haircut aside low cut, as bad people. The honest thing is that the majority of the people that dress this way are more of a moralist than the so-called holy ones or those that know too much.
Why should you believe that all the people that smoke, drinks, have sex or does some kind of other things are bad? This is actually serious discussion and a topic that I feel is less talked about and as such should be discussed all times in a form of enlightenment. Most of the people that put these things on their head did more than that when they were much younger or now, but secretly.
Let me end with this, why do most people say that most religious leaders' sons and daughters are wayward? No, they are not!. Religious leaders will always want their children to have the Life they live now publicly or they preach. And such children also have their own life to live, this is really pathetic and imposing on such children.
For instance, a parent that does not have have some type of discussion with his/her children, for example about sex because whether we like it or not, we are all sexual beings. When such children leave their parents and go to a college or University where he/she is free, she does whatever she likes. And just maybe the parents also made such a mistake too while younger, but couldn't sit the children down and have these types of discussions with them.

It's Friday, which means the start of the weekend. Even though it's going to be a busy weekend anyways, I'm super excited that Christmas is really near. My countdown to Christmas on read.cash starts officially next week. Also, the cold here has been really severe, but of course this is December and it's expected.
In every association, gathering or even in each individual's life, there is always a target set to meet or a mission to accomplish. This is because such an association or personality has a goal, it might be as a result of healthy competition, or personal motivation to Excel and do exploits. As individuals, we all have targets or dreams in one way or the other. Most already dreamt of or have the pictures of what and how they want their respective futures to look like.

Since I was in senior class 1, I already knew I would love to go into the Engineering profession. This was because I really didn't like Biology as a course, it wasn't as if I always have less than 60 in the course, but I wasn't feeling it. I enjoyed the other engineering courses more. Although, recently, I was told by my parents that when I was kid, I would always say I wanted to become a doctor. I replied, why'd I wanna intentionally punish myself 😂 and you took me seriously? Those were my responses.
From what I noticed, many people just found themselves in what they're doing, such as changing one's desired course just to gain admission to a college, probably because of the several attempts so far or because after graduation from the college, they were a lot of pressure from the parents or family to start financing the home. And with the situation of employment in the country, such persons had to resolve what he/she does not have Passion for or never dreamt of. This can be heartbreaking and painful, because of the emotions, efforts put in going in line with one's dream or passion.
Another set of People are the ones that find themselves doing either one of the two. Some might just go to the college for sake but have a different passion, and as such when such an individual leaves the college, he/she goes straight into the passion field. This is a bit better because it's obvious such a person knows what he/she wants right from the start.
Before I got admission to the University, I never knew I had a thing for writing, not until I gained admission and I joined some Organizations, then boom!!. Now I wouldn't want to say I love writing more than Engineering, but I have a passion for writing and I have also always dreamt of becoming an Engineer.
Nevertheless, even if you have a dream and passion and you could not fulfill or accomplish it till now, it's never late. You can still go for it. It doesn't matter how long or when it took you to achieve it, what matters is that your desire came to pass and your mission was accomplished.
There's this Man in my school, just a seat before mine. He gained admission to study Law at the age of 49. This isn't a part time course or distant learning. I had to make enquiries from some Law Students because of this. I learnt he has done like two degree programmes before. That means he probably has always dreamt to study Law, which he later accomplished, many may say it's late but the most important thing is that his dreams came alive. Also a man who is my level, he is well known in the Nollywood industry. He also has like two degrees already then came back to study Classics. He once studied Theatre Arts in this same school
There's never a limit to what one can achieve, just believe, be unstoppable, be confident and go all for it.

Goodbyes

There's a popular saying that "20 children cannot play together for 20 years". What does this mean? This means that it's impossible for a particular set of friends or individuals to be together forever, without being separated for a reason or the other. There's no how much as they all would have loved to be together forever, it just seems unrealistic. It's always a moment of tears, joy, panic, resolutions and many more.
Goodbyes moments are always filled with emotions, and this is the sole reason why I do not like Goodbyes, because I do not like such moments. I personally have experienced some good byes moments and I'll mention a few.
Last Paper in High school
This was some years back. It was after our last NECO paper. I can still vividly remember how everyone went, a moment I would never forget. That time it was clear that everyone was into themselves, we all already bonded so well. But understanding before, it's our last paper, after spending 6years. Hugs and tears were flying everywhere. It got to the point that one or two teachers and some students were looking at us😀. Although we all had each other's contact then, some believed we might never see each other physically again for a very long time which is true. Because till today, I haven't met with the majority of them physically. Moreso, I was in the school hostel to,the goodbye in this hostel too caused so many tears amidst
Today
Yes, today. This happened with the final year students of my department. Majority of them had their project defense today, the rest did theirs on Wednesday, last week. I have always been close to the past senior colleagues but this set, I'm more close. It was really emotional today and still is because I know they are done. Although, I still have the joy in my heart that they will still come around for their induction ceremony into the Engineering profession very soon.

This can be painful as a result of the time, efforts, emotions and all invested in such relationships. This form of goodbyes as led to various suicidal mission and depression.
Departure
This is the form of leaving one place finally or for another after fulfilling the mission of going there. This is exactly like what I explained earlier about my last paper in high school. It might come in various ways. This form of goodbyes is initiated when departing or leaving a place, it can happen in the form of a send forth and is always full of emotions.

Bitcoin Cash experiences major dip in crypto market this December
15th of December, 2021.
The recent dip and fall in the crypto currencies such as Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin, Ethereum and so on, in the crypto market has been a major concern to me. I am neither an expert nor a major investor in Crypto, but I am an inquisitive person that always wants to know about things while I really want to know. In fact, I literally had no understanding of cryptocurrency, ebeen though I have been hearing about it for a very long time, until 9 days ago when I joined read.cash. After joining I started reading and engaging articles of some of the experts in Crypto market here on this platform, people like @Abhay @Fexonice1 @King_Gozie @Amazing-grace and many more, then I developed love and desire in any Crypto related.
According to the data from the app on my phone( Bitcoin.com) Bitcoin Cash dipped as low as $462.46 on Saturday, likewise Bitcoin at $42,874.62 and Ethereum at $3,500. On Monday, Bitcoin Cash dipped by around 8 percent. Yesterday, as at 11:50 AM(WAT), all the crypto currencies all dipped by around 3 percent. But since last night till now, the cryptocurrencies have all risen by around 2 percent. This recent incident in the market has been a thing to worry about.
Towards the end of November, before I joined read.cash, I found out that Bitcoin Cash was around $720. This is why I was really worried at first when I saw the mouth opening dip after I joined.
This is also the third biggest dip in this year, 2021.
Reasons for the dip
Recall that around October and November, that is a month or two ago, there were a reasonable number of pre Christmas sell-offs in cryptocurrency. These markets however scared and frightened investors, which made investors not invest and take the risks.
The Covid-19 news, about the omicron variant, also had a great impact on a risk-on asset like bitcoin Cash, bitcoin and so on, which controls the entire markets with high correlation. This time around, markets recovered more quickly than the last correction, which took six months to recover when the pandemic hit us and less than 2 months after the second wave.

Examine yourself

As we all know that this is the December period and just a few days to the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022. It is of great necessity to account and look back throughout the year from January till now to see how far one has come and gone. This is needed not only for checks and balances, but to know the way forward and be fully informed of the next steps to take in advancing in every ramifications of one's life and also being a better person.
Companies/Offices/Businesses
These times as we are, different companies in their different places will stop productions now and start accounting how their respective year went. Why is this needed? It is needed for purely checks and balances. This is when there will be general auditing, although there will be sectional auditing during productions in the year, general own will still take place. The company would want to know how much profits were made and loss, their assets and liabilities. Moreso, to know how much they were able to cover and satisfy their customers and also have a series of meetings to know what to do next. Whatever strategy to be devised and used.
Likewise, business owners or self-employed people. They check through to see if any progress was made throughout the year, how they were able to satisfy their customers.
Family
A good father as well or the head of the house at the end of the year will try to examine how well the family has done. He/she will start from his/her spouse, the work, provision to the family, how they've been able to manage the family even at large, if there are any projects too and so on. Also to the children, in their academics, if they graduated already, do they have jobs, in general the well being of the family and how well they've all gone.
Yourself
This is just the same with we humans too. This time of the year should be the time to sit and think of how the year went for us in all ramifications. Academically, financially, spiritually, maritally and many more. This will give one the way out of every problem or circumstance. It should be noted that most always have targets or resolutions for the new year, questions to be asked should be have you been able to achieve any, some or even all. This is a time to critically examine oneself and evaluate how well one has done.

The UEFA champions league draw happened this afternoon and teams like Chelsea were finally set to meet Lille and Cristiano Ronaldo was meant to face Lionel Messi, as Manchester United was meant to face Paris Saint Germain. Before I start, let me gist you or should I call it an insight to what happened last night. Shall we Begin?

I hope you've grabbed your chocolates and juice though, laughs. Yes, last night was my hostel Press Dinner. Dinner mostly occurs in many companies or organizations all over the world, especially towards or at the end of the year. It's to celebrate after having worked till last year and also to award every individual that has done excellently well in moving or pushing such companies forward. As a matter of fact, most departments and Faculties in my school right now have been Organizing different dinners, being that it's the end of the session.
Although, I have been attending a lot, don't judge me please 😅. This is because I make a lot of friends and I have them in different departments and Faculties, which makes me attend even without paying for tickets 😂. Now back to my hotel PRESS dinner.

A background insight of my participation in the Press
When I was in 100L, I joined many Press organizations, including my hostel Press. Why? I have always had this thing for Publicity, writing, making enquiries and a lot more. So I said to myself, what club or Organization can I join to sharpen myself and unravel some other skills I might have in me? This is the reason I joined lots of Press Organizations then. Does it pay off for me? I can boldly say YES.
Although I willingly Joined the press in 100L, my activeness was because my then Editor-in-chief wouldn't let me rest. He would always assign work to me. Should I say unfortunately, towards the end of the session, I told my Editor-in-chief and the Editorial board in general that I was leaving just for a while. You also laughed right?😂.
Why did I leave the Press temporarily?
Not that I wasn't ready or was tired. Don't worry, I'll download the whole gist here 😅. So, after my first semester results then, I wasn't happy, not that I performed woefully, but the results were not up to my expectations. You know now, as a fresher after the admission, we all want to be on a first class at the end of the semester or session 🤣. I was determined and wanted to come back, just like FC Barcelona would have loved to come back last Wednesday at the Allianz Arena😂. I wasn't not happy, this was the major cause of me leaving the Organization.
I rejoined the Press Organization
When I got to 300L, I was voted the Editor-in-chief of my department, which ordinarily is meant for a 500L student. So, I was already more mature, my school has served me series of breakfast 😪, my eyes were already opened and most importantly, I already knew how things works, even when combining some other activities.
My hostel Press couldn't do much in the first semester, due to the Covid-19 incident, because the school ran a virtual first semester. Second semester, we did a lot even though I wasn't really fully in, both the other members were fully aware of my abilities.
The real gist 😀 - My Hostel Press Dinner Night
Last night, we had dinner. Before we started I had started noticing how my Editor-in-chief was talking to me, the way he would never and didn't use to. He was mentioning that I would be dismissed today and some other guys. I was shocked and it got me thinking like how did we get here? He really played on my emotions that I had already started having a rethink.
From the moment we started the dinner, I wasn't myself, I was thinking of the disgrace and embarrassment I would face. Fast forward to the awards and now the transition. Then the Editor-in-chief came out and started saying some people will be shocked, that if anyone is hypertensive, such should hold her breath, I was not bothered because I knew I was going to be dismissed from the Organization that night.
Then he started calling names of the new Editorial board, when he got to the Deputy Editor-in-chief, he mentioned my name 😭. I couldn't start for 20 seconds as I was really shocked. I almost cried 😂. Like what kind of prank is this? He later said the selection was based on nominations and voting by the past editorial board. When I got to my room last night, I slept almost immediately, because I was still in awe of what happened.
