Hullo, readers! We are finally stepping into the weekend in few more hours It is the weekend finally! Let loose and do your happy dance!
otsukare sama desu!
The weather the past few days has been nasty. I know some parts of Luzon is still getting crazy downpours. The sun and the rain cannot seem to have an agreement on who is going to show up and for how long will their show run.
There are times when the wind would not let up either. I can see a portion of our roof from my window and I keep staring at it whenever the wind blows. It would look like it would come off but thankfully it does not. As of the moment that I am writing, it has finally stopped. Save for a surprise, short, heavy shower around 4PM a while ago, it is now quiet outside.
It has been a fine week overall and I thank God for that. Fine week overall does not mean it is 100% problem-less.
Soldiers down!
We are three soldiers down in our team. All three playing critical role for this week. That means the rest of us would need to de-prioritize our own assignments and attend to their deliverables so we can beat the deadline. We got a lot of buzzer beaters but all is well and we got through fine.
Whew!
Tick tock and nothing is coming from my brain to my fingertips.
Has it ever happened to you that you are working heart and soul over one task, and you end up dreaming about it? And what you're working on starts talking to you in your dream?
One time in my old work, I entered the pantry to get my usual coffee fix before facing my computer and my project. I was a little unsure how to start because the previous day, I left the office really befuddled because I cannot resolve and fix what I was debugging. I was trying to rack my brain for other ways to approach the problem because I do not want to be doing the same thing and then wanting and expecting a different result. I heard someone say that's insanity (that was Albert Einstein). But my dafty brain brings into mind that : Practice makes perfect. So I needed to relax a bit, step away from the program a bit, else I'd be perfecting insanity.
I sat down on one of the chairs I moved near the window so I can see the traffic outside hoping that the build up in the main road will help me come up with answers. The funny thing was, my brain kept going back to my dream the night before.
I dreamed that one of the buttons in my application was talking to me telling me the problem was the program behind it.
While I was toying with the idea the button was giving me through the dream, the door of the pantry swung open. My friend came in with his tumbler and about to get coffee as well. He greeted me and I greeted him back. We both stared out the window. And he started telling me his dream the previous night. His was, the button he was programming, it was talking to him, too.
He said the button told him, "you have to delete me for the program to work."
I also remember having to investigate the non-balanced ledger entries and dreaming about the entries telling me which side of the debit and the credit they should be.
That was weird.
So how about we call it a night, eh? I'm pretty sure the work I parked a while ago will not haunt me in my sleep. Yay!
Let's all have a good time this WHEWkend!
