Hi guys, what’s good? I am sure after seeing my heading you probably thought I was going to talk about war or conquering nations or something like that ,well you aren’t so far from it anyways. Have you ever thought about feelings or love as an allegiance that you have sworn to someone. Okay!! Let’s see if I could explain what I mean .
how is it that once you start to develop feelings for somebody; it just seem like you swore an oath or some kind of fealty.
Of course a lot of people will argue and say it’s a lie because there have been cases where people acted in such ways toward the person they **“loved”** that didn’t really seem like it was in the Favour of the said person, other might say my hypothesis is wrong because there are different kind of love and different people love differently. Which brings me to the main reason for this article : **what is love ?? How do you know you are actually really feeling the feeling of love ??** And yes of course God’s love is a perfect example no doubt about that but in this context I am taking about the other kind of love, you know 😂 the kind that leads to marriages and kids, Yeah that kind. Thing is often times people like to think that they are in love but this is not often the case. **When is it just lust or infatuation or mere attraction?** How can you tell when it is really love **.**. like real genuine love.

**A short story …**
This is a personal experience; I met a girl some time in 2018. She was really pretty the first time I saw her, nice long hair ,bulging eyes, dark skin-melanin goddess but for me the most attractive thing about her was the away she smell . God!!! It felt like heaven just sitting close to her. At first I thought I liked her just because she was funny and how she would always make those **her masculine vocal** jokes but I got to find out that she was smart and polite. Man!!!I was in too deep. There is just one single thing stopping me now. A lot of guys were after her; guys who were way richer, Cooler, fresher and more experienced than I am; but was I going to let that stop me ? Never !!! I have got game too I told myself **“show some faith man , you got this”.** *What a joke I was 😂*
In the next few months we became friends we started to talk a lot ,she shared a few personal things about her self to me and I thought to myself hmm maybe it was meant to be . Maybe she was just waiting for me. “ **ah this must be fate**”😂😂😂. Well turns out she was just naturally a friendly person and whatever I thought was going on was just in my head .I mean I could swear we had a connection even my friends and I gave her a nickname that she knew about and they would often tease me in front of her but “Omo” as time passed I realized she wasn’t interested in me at least not like that. Now here is where it gets confusing, I know I just like her.. like i am attracted to her . I don’t think it’s anything “special” like I don’t act weird around her or show some of those symptoms you all be showing when you love someone. I mean she is great and all but i am certain it’s not love, what gets me intrigued about the whole thing is the fact that whenever she wants help or i just feel even the slightest hint that she is going through stress or something and I could offer help, I just feel this overwhelming need to comfort her or just help her out and even tho I don’t even think of dating her or having any sexual kind of relationship with her in the nearest future because I no longer expect anything in return ; I just feel the hurge to make her smile always.
**Now let’s back up a little**
You might be concluding that I am in love and i may not be aware of what I am feeling, well sorry to burst your bubble I am sure I am not in love with her at least not anymore . How am I sure ? Well just trust me on this I am sure. The main thing is the way I always want to help her and just give her my support is that love ? Is that what it feels to actually be in love with someone? **Because I am sure I don’t get butterflies around her 😉** So what then is this ? Or what is love ? I feel like I should have started with this in the first place. Anyways she has friend-zoned me and quite frankly I love where we are right now as friends . Don’t get me wrong I am not a simp 😂😂 of which there is nothing wrong in being a simp for a person you feel something for : nevertheless ,I just feel like it’s better we stay as just friends.

Hi guys , what’s good ? I hope everyone is safe. So this article was inspired by one of @tired_momma ‘s article where she wrote about technology and it’s effect on kids of today. Let’s begin with the some reasons why technology might not really be helpful…
**Growing up**
I was born in the late 90’s and for this part of the world where I grew up technological advancement is very slow, so for the first 16 years of my life I didn’t own a phone or even a laptop talk more of video games or other fancy gadgets. The only way we knew how to have fun was playing soccer on the street and other fun outdoor games we barely even used computers; you know those ones with big motherboard and monitor !! Shoot !!!! elder ones won’t even allow us kids to look at them . They were totally off limits. And maybe , just maybe we were happier with the simple things of life. The World seem so innocent and bright in our eyes, we weren’t concerned about trending topics on Instagram or what is new on Facebook or what kind of fashion Celebs were rocking . We were more concerned about school, family , our next door neighbor you know ? Things or people we saw on daily basics. **Then we grew older and technology came in !!!**
**Screen time : loosing the originality of physical human interaction.**
Nothing beats talking to a person physically why? There is so much you can get from speaking to a person one on one . From facial expressions to body languages and all that the human physical interaction can just not be replaced. statistics state that the average person spends up to 4 hours on their mobile devices which is about 55 days a year . Wow !! Just wow we have little or no time for natural human interactions. Here is a test for you read-citizens -:**can you put off your phone for 2days and just got out and talk to people?** well can you ? You see slowly but surely we are losing human contact . Most of us just sit for 8 hours starting at our screens it’s almost as if we are addicted. The funniest part is we set our phones to shut off when we extend screen limits but we don’t obey them or do we ? At least I know my friends and I don’t 😂.
**“This is too much work”**
I once saw a movie about robots taking care of little kids and truly maybe that is where we are headed. The normal things we could do as human like washing clothes, doing our dishes or just going grocery shopping have been **“simplified”** so much so that I could do all of that just sitting in one spot. Here me out 😂 I know I know nobody likes to be stressed or to just do hard work I should know because I hate working who doesn’t ? I am just saying ain’t we over doing it ? I mean walking down to a mall can help reduce calories and help exercise the body. Also when we build up the habit of getting things done for us by machines we sub-consciously tell ourselves that it’s too much work and we can’t do it and you would be surprised as to how this can affect our lives in general.
**The influence of information**
I think I have talked about this before . Anybody from any part of the world right now can leak fake information online and just ruin years or hard work and reputation of people, organization Brands or even governments. That’s not all anybody with just the right amount of skill and tech can hack into multi-million dollars data systems and do away with lots of money or valuable informations. What if someone hacked your accounts and stole from you that is certainly not a good feeling . You still think this tech thing is the best ? Well I am not sure because even tho tech can have its disadvantages there are lots of advantages that can easily outweigh this disadvantages.
well let’s talk about the good part of tech …
**Medical**
Technology has provided us with so much simpler medical solutions from diagnostic procedures to surgical machines and all that high tech medical research technology has really came through for us in these aspects. More also availability of medical related informations online and sometimes treatment for patients has made it really easy to get treated quick and fast. Anybody can just pick up their phones and google “ what are the symptoms for corona virus” and just like that they have the information they need which is pretty cool if you ask me.
**social interactions**
I know 😂.. I know what I said earlier but look on the bright side the reason you can read this article in the first place is because of technology. The reason you and I are friends even tho we might live on opposite sides of the world is because of technology. So it is not all that bad when it comes to social interactions I mean technological advancement has provided opportunities like these for people of different race to communicate, business organizations are able to reach out to their customers, people are able to earn money while sharing information and creating friendship just as this platform does.
At the end of the day I guess my point is technology just like everything in life has its pros and it’s cons we just have to figure out a ways to juggle our lives so we don’t depend too much on technology.

**Music is my therapy ;** most of us find it extremely tiring to express our feelings or just talk about certain thing to other people at least: maybe they won’t understand!! Nobody would actually. Sometimes I ask myself **where do I belong?? Are there young minds like me trying to figure life out ??** it gets weird most times it really does . I have actually fought a lot of battles on my own . I feel like I have been so strong for a long time . You know how society expects the male figure to be strong ,show no emotions and even when you get hurt don’t cry ; **“you are a man”** they would say to you **. “You would appear weak”** yeah maybe they are right one thing is sure nobody really understands you emotions like you do. Some situations are very hard to handle life can be hard but **music is my therapy.**
If I lived a week with you the first thing you would notice about me is my love for music. This is probably because my late mum ( bless her soul) and I shared this great love for music. When I was 2 or younger she would always play these love songs from her youthful days with my dad . The wizkids and davidos of her time *Thompson oranu* he was this extremely beautiful vocal singer with magical organic sound that could get you feel mushy inside. Most times when I feel lost like my life is worth very little, I can’t tell people these things they would laugh at me ,some won’t even believe; shoot !! They might even make it worse . I just take my earpiece and just plug-in to the only vibe that never disappoints “**music is my** **therapy”.**
I don’t talk to a lot of people and even thou I am a team player and I have really close friends that are even family to me, I am more of a lone wolf which means I spend most of my days by myself. Sometimes It’s like “are you sure I am not missing something” I am probably not saying the right thing or am I just generally unlikeable ? Do I give off the wrong vibes ?? Maybe I am the problems ?? So many questions come to mind; this is just a simple example of the complexity of the adult mind trying to measure up. Of course it wasn’t always like this . I use to be the golden kid, everybody wanted to play with me , I guess I got older quickly , my mind changed my view about the world and life in general changed .i started to see people for what they are or wait !!! Is this just another stage of life that I have to pass through ? Oh well , I guess I would find out soon. I am a child in a grown body but **music is my therapy**.
A lot of people have come and gone in my life I have been hurt quite a lot of time I don’t even keep count anymore, honestly these days I really don’t give a f**k and this not me being anti**-**social or anything of that sort is just **people ain’t** **s**t** I am sorry for using such kind of words ;it just really hard to express what I feel sometimes and I can’t really blame anybody I am guilty of these things too. So it just I don’t want to talk I just need music . When I feel sad ? Feel good music , when I feel overwhelmed-it calm music, when I feel like I don’t belong- it’s emo-music and sometimes when it’s just me trying to catch a vibe-it’s vibe music. Sometimes I can just be sitting down and this one song would just keep playing in my head , it maybe something that happened to me in the past or something that happened to me recently either ways **music is my** **therapy.**

I don’t want no drama I just want you my darling”* in the last 45 hours these are the lyrics that juts keeps playing in my head .To me it just simply means some of us just want a simple life nothing too much nothing too big . Just a simple uncomplicated life with lots of love. By the way that lyrics from just now is from one of my favorite artist right now **Juice** **wrld**. I feel like I can’t really say too much on this topic because I don’t want to digress and loose focus for why I wrote the topic in the first place; it just that music has really been healing my soul for a long time and still continues to do so. I hope someone else can relate to this it would be weird if I were the only one who thinks like this 😂😂 I hope not anyways .

Rants; controlling anger ☑️
**“What to do when you are furious but you can really say words or act . Oh my God I am so pissed right now I could hurt her but no my mum ain’t raised me like that and I don’t move like that . I should probably just take a bath, eat something, listen to good music and just watch a movie afterward”.**
Hey friends, you might be wondering what that meant ..so I got into a confrontation yesterday with a girl and those words you just read where exactly what was running through my mind. She said some really awful things and insulted me but what can I do in such situations. I could definitely not hit her NOO!!! I don’t move like that neither could I banter words with her it wouldn’t make sense; I just ended up staring at her with this boiling rage in my head even as I type this words I can still feel rage but you know i just have to calm, re-access the situation and just find my next move considering the fact that I thought she was my friend in the past.

I won’t bother explaining what led to the confrontation because I don’t want to remember it and when she does find out she was wrong I might not accept her apology still , I can be really petty . Yeah yeah I know what you are thinking but if you know me well you would know I am slow I mean literally very slow to anger but once I get there turning back is harrrrrdddd.
Anyways last night I ended up doing some research on how to stay calm when in angry situations. These are some of the helpful informations I found .
1.Tell yourself to calm down, you could just say words in your head like “ calm down man take it easy “ you could repeat these words as much as possible until you are calm enough.
2.Leave that situation find an exit or something just move away from that area .
3.I also found that using visualization like picturing yourself in a place of solitude or comfort can help tremendously.
4.Breathe; focus on your breathing do some breathing in and out.
5.Splash some cold water on your face to calm you down .
6.Listen to soothing music or any music that makes you feel good .
7.Let out : call your favorite person and just rant to them or write it out like I did . Just basically give off that negative energy it could be really helpful.
So when next you find yourself in the kind of situation I was in yesterday night just take those steps you know. You don’t want a simple anger of just 5 seconds to destroy something that took years to build. Like the popular saying
**"Never do anything when you are in temper you will do everything wrong”**

10 top 2021 movies out now!!!
Hey friends, how are you all today ? I remembered saying in my last article that I was going to make an article for movie lovers on this site, well seeing that I am kind of experiencing writers block I thought I would rather just share fun information with my friends on here . I hope y’all enjoy this one tho. Also, this is not arranged in an particular order this is just a personal preview of what I think of these movies.
**Number 10 :- Peter rabbit 2 : the runaway**
Peter rabbit 2 : the run away which was released on the 11 of June 2021 has grossed over $148.8 million in box office. The movie centers around a talking rabbit named Peter, his cousin rabbit, his sisters, their care taker played “bea” played by **rose Byrne** and her husband**.** The cinema magic directed by will Gluck was made with over $45 million.
Personally I enjoyed watching this movie because the picture quality was nice, it had a few comic parts in it, the animals you know ? I just think the production and result was fantastic so try and check it out sometime.
**number 9 :- The boss baby 2: family business**
okay please stick with me 😂😂😂i know I know another cartoon-like movie please just hear me out. So the boss baby 2 is a follow up from Boss baby 1 which was a huge cartoon-movie. Tim templeton has finally grown, has a wife and has two daughters one of which is a secrete agent just like ted- Tim’s estranged brother 😂😂I know right just stick with me . So Ted is now a big shut and has no time for family , Tim is sad but what can he do ? Long story short they have to come back for one last mission to save the planet with babies . This is one you want to watch with probably your kids or if you are baby sitter this article might coming handy 😉
**Number 3:- hitman’s wife’s bodyguard**
You know when you put Samuel L. Jackson in an action movie it is always a bomb I ain’t even gonna spoil this one for y’all ..sorry my American accent kicked in for a bit not for long I am back 😂😂. So basically hitman’s wife’s bodyguard is an action packed movie trust me ; great shots, great location, great story so funny I swear. I had mad fun watching this piece in fact I think I might have to watch it again just to enjoy so of the great scenes. I laughed a lot on this one, of course Ryan Reynolds came through with them funny jokes and stuff . In all this is an amazing movie. You should probably watch this with a girl or something because it had some gangster-romantic moments all in all I loved it .
**Number 4 :- space jam A new legacy**
This is for my fellow basket ball lovers, sport lovers in general. This is movie is so great because it starred world class basketball player LeBron james and his son dom, although the first 30 minutes of the movie got me snoozing a bit but soon it took off and even tho it seem like a movie for kids it was really a very relaxing movie. Now most of you might say “oh I didn’t really think much of the movie” it’s fine I am just tipping out some of the great movies I have seen in 2021 in no particular order just writing them down as they come to mind.
Another thing I loved about this movie is the fact that it reminded me a little of my childhood as it features acts like bugs bunny, daffy duck and the rest of the looney tunes gang ; plus this is a great movie for the family because it centers on family and it importance to us a members of a family acting together as a unit and supporting one another.

**Number 5 :- Without remorse**
Without remorse starring my favorite African American actor Micheal B Jordan is a action packed movie about an American soldier seeking revenge for the murder of his wife and unborn child. The movie was adapted from tom Clancy’ s book “without remorse”. Honestly this movie made Micheal B Jordan seem like he was some sort of super human. The fight scenes , the tech, the actors ; it was just a really clean and nice movie. Of course stefano sollima can never do no wrong when it comes to directing action movies or movies in general. Enjoy !!!
**Number 6:- cruella**
This is for all my friends who are fashionista 😉. Cruella is a very intriguing movie with a lot of clothes in it 😂. The movie grossing over $225 million had big Hollywood names like Emma stones ,Emma Thompson and Joel fry among others. Quick question ; is it just me or does anyone else confuse Emma stones for Margot Robbie and Margot Robbie for Emma mackey.
So cruella is a movie which screen was based on the London fashion world. It is great movie to see with friends probably on the weekends. Also, if you enjoy cosplay and costumes this is the movie for you .
**Number 7:- The tomorrow war**
This is probably one of the most anticipated sci-fi movies of this year ;this movie is so sickkkk bruhhhh. Sorry about that 😉 it’s just ; the movie is really great why?? Well because it had great actors like Chris pratt, Yvonne strahovski, Betty gilpin among others. Apart from that this movie had time travel, beasts , great fight scenes , high tech guns and space ships .For real this is a great movie to watch with popcorns and a big bottle of coke on a Sunday afternoon.
**Number 8:- the suicide squad 2**
This movie can easily be the most anticipated movie for 2021, not to mention the addition of WWE super star *John cena* as one of the characters. The 2 hours 12 minutes long movie which cost over $185 million to produce starred actors like Margot Robbie, sylvester stallone , Pete Davidson , idris elba, John cena and many others. Although this might not be a movie to watch with kids under 18 because of the nude scenes it is still a great movie and we look toward to suicide squad 3.
**Number 9;- gunpowder milkshake**
Gunpowder milkshake , this is for the girl power movement. Honestly I enjoyed this movie a lot . Thing is I love action movies with lots of comic relief and the whole girl power movement was something I really enjoyed. I actually don’t have much to say about this movie just enjoy it.
**Number 10 :- Black widow**
You know marvel always bring the heat when it comes to these kinds of movies. Black widow actually killed it. If you are yet to see this movie please do as soon as possible . The movies had a lot in it ;action , sci-fi, tech, family , love, trust and so many . Basically black widow confronts her dark past in the movie which hard links with her sister, their father and mother. It was really an awesome movie. Another thing I loved about this movie was the black widow suit 😌😌👍 it was everything for me . So if you are yet to see this movie please check it out

Rad wheelz : skating?? I might ..
Hey guys what’s good ?? Happy new week I hope everyone is flexing this new week and I hope positive things and energy find us .
So on Sunday which was the 8th day of august in the year 2021 I got VIP tickets to go see a show about skatings and just things that had to do with wheels like bicycles, BMX ,skate boarder, rollers inclusive of some other non-wheeled activities like spoken words and graffiti . It was basically just entertainment about wheels and young Nigerians just figuring out what they love and have passion for; an indoor event powered by POWER HORSE .
so here is the back story 😂😂
Prior to attending this event I was seeing a series on HBO max channel titled “Betty” which was about young people mostly girls who love to skate. The series just centered on young minds trying to navigate life, taking different paths, making choices and just finding their purpose for life. Although “Betty” had a few things I didn’t really like about the show but it got me wondering “maybe I should try out skateboarding, I mean how hard can it be”.
In addition to that I saw another Indian movie name “skater girl” which was about a young girl who loved skating . She was Indian and considering the fact that skating was something that wasn’t popular in that part of the world it was a little hard for her to enjoy what she loved without being judged, owing also to the fact that she was suppose to be doing house chores and preparing for marriage in accordance with the village culture. Skater girl really had other stories going on but it was really a fun movie

****RAD WHEELZ THE SHOW****
**SKATING 🛹** **AND DE’ WHEELZ**
On arriving at the venue the whole place was filled with a lot of skaters, rollers, dancers and bikers 😂 ( the bicycle riders) . There was a lot of cameras as photographers ,videographers, sound Engineers and all that media people were just setting up, 😌 It felt like a festival. Within a few hours the main event began, first up were the skaters on boards they all came out in turns and showed their tricks while the Mc made a countdown of 40 seconds to each skater .
Soon after it was time for the bikers 🚴♀️ . They came out in turns too just like how the skaters did and showed their tricks as the sound engineer guy blasted loud music through out the hall. There was a lot of energy and hype. This one guy from the eastern part did so many amazing tricks people were just shouting all through his performance. I won’t even lie 😂😂 I was scared for him because most of the tricks he did were the hard ones that most people wouldn’t dare to attempt. I wish I could share videos I would probably make a link or something we will see😌.
The roller guys were the last set of people that came out they didn’t do much because they weren’t really prepared . A few guys just did some simple tricks, danced a little and it was over just like that after which the judges started compiling their scores.

personally, I enjoyed the music a lot considering the fact that I love to listen to music a lot. The show had few prominent Nigerian musicians and a lot of up and coming singers too from different genre of music ; the music was really good I ended up following up one of the up and coming rapper that performed whose stage name is *zeekels yenkren, song title : 4 points*
They were other amazing musical arts that came through with awesome performances. It was really a fun Experience and the musical part of the show didn’t fall short

Only few graffiti artist were present at the show to be honest. This one super talented guy did like a designed written thing😂😂 sorry I don’t know the right terms but really it was so beautiful. Although We couldn’t get an interview with him because we were scared of being stained with pains and he seemed really into his art, we weren’t going to come and contaminate such connection you get ?😂 but all in all we took some nice pictures of both art and artist
**FASHION**
Also at the show some guys sold tees, bucket hats and polos. They were really nice but expensive . Also most of the people that came for this event came in different style and fashion

Contact without contamination
Hey everybody, good day happy weekend and happy Sunday. Hope we are all enjoying our day
I feel so elevated today which Is something I don’t normally feel, not like my life is dull and sad and boring and I am about to die !! No!! Nothing like that 😂😂 I am just so grateful that I had the opportunity to be In the presence of the most high God.
Which brings me to the reason for this article. The minister today talked about a lot of things, mainly on the topic “the church as an entity” which is basically about the body of Christ on a more universal level. He spoke of the church sighting his example from a tree with huge branches and how we are all connected in the Spirit. Like I said he talked a lot on spiritual connections but one thing he said that caught my attention was when he said
“you can be in a place where Christians would not normally go and still act like a Christian, **contact without** **contamination**”
probably not his exact words but that was how I got it which had lead me to think of it on a larger scale. By the way

**Christ as the tree**
The minister spoke about how the church is a universal family and how we shouldn’t talk down other Christians when they “fall”. Back to the topic on ground **contact without contamination** can be interpreted as so many different things for different situations for most people it might mean just physically touching someone or having physical contact of any form with another person, but for me I believe it means just mere being around a “contaminated person” doesn’t make you contaminated. Notice the quote ? That’s because nobody is in real sense- contaminated as per the context I am Working with; it is just figurative . Now a “contaminated person” in this context might be a bad friend or a bad place; I guess what I am saying is you can be around such persons without actually behaving like them or end up acting the way they do and that is what I think the minister was saying in essence, sure your reason to be around them should be justifiable of course. The reason why I enjoyed this message was because he was able to relate it to our Christian life
Take for example you could be in a club for a business meeting with a client as a Christian that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to drink and get drunk and do some non-Christ like things . You could conduct business and leave immediately. Please I am not in anyway condemning people that club because I club sometimes to just cool off steam I am just sighting a simple example for better understanding.

Unilag and the monkey that ate my popcorn
As I write this article in the comfort of my room a friend of mine was playing “ jocelyn Flores " by xxxtentacion and almost immediately it made me feel some kind of way . Why ?? Because recently they had to close up our school because of the outbreak of Covid in our hostels. I felt some kind of way because I missed hanging with my friends at certain spots in school . I have so many memories from when I was a newbie up till today.

you probably would have noticed I like posting a lot of pictures that is because I like to take lots of picture whenever I take walks or just randomly step out to buy stuff . Most times when I take pictures it’s because I have probably seen a beautiful cloud or some nice flowers or something interesting like a bird or a monkey or just a rare antique. Anyways every time I go strolling in school premises I just end up taking random pictures of places and things my friends and I use to see or visit when school was still in section. The monkey that took my pop corn
so one time I took a walk to see a friend close to school area so I decided to go inside and just walk around you know .. just get that feel of how it use to be when school was in section . Eventually I got the “Unilag law garden” close the senate building where I sat for a while just chilling . On my way there I bought some pop corn you know eating and just walking can go hand in hand . As I walked passed some faculty I could only see a few people around ; it felt weird because on normal situations such place were always filled with people both teaching , non teaching staffs and students .
Anyways fast forward to the monkey story . I was busy having a nice time just sitting and enjoying my evening view when suddenly I noticed my popcorn reduced at first I thought I mistakenly threw some on the floor but then again if that were the case where are the "crumbs " ?? And how come people around were just looking towards me and giggling like I had something on my face. Suddenly I turned only for me to realize that this monkey has stolen my popcorn. I wasn’t even furious I just laughed , more at the fact that he was eating my popcorn without remorse.😂😂😂😂😂😂 like “bruuhhhhh” even if you ain’t sorry act like you are man . Everybody around was just laughing I made a video about it .. it’s currently on my tiktok page . Here are some pictures I took mid way
Unilag night life
night-time was probably the most fun time for any Unilag student you ask ,why!?😂 well, for one the food vendors like those selling roasted beef popularly called “suya” and garnished spaghetti, Burgers and all sorts of fun food only come out at night . Then there is hooking up of girls and boys . Those people in relationships hangout together and just talk, eat and basically just have fun with each other . Single people like myself just sit with my headphones and listen to jcole or juice wrld or davido or something fun.
All that ??was what we use to enjoy 🥲🥲 these days I walk around those places and it seem like a shadow of emptiness and nothingness has been cast upon these spots. Honestly it’s just sad

The first time I visited my roots (part 2)
Hey guys thank you for the love and support from my previous articles considering the fact that I am still a newbie here and I have only come this far with the help and support of my friends here. Y’all are the best for real .
anyways I had fun making the part 1 of this article and I feel like I should share my remaining experiences on here.
My grandma’s fam
So apparently my grandma and grandpa were big time farmers.They had a lot farm lands which they share equally among their sons (my dad and his brothers) .Although, my grandma kept a few for herself for her to cultivate vegetables, corn, pear and some other tuber food like Cassava and yams. They day I finally visited her farm I was so happy she kept giving me stuff most of them fell on my way back to the house. She was showing off her plants and telling me how she planted them and how my dad use to come farm here when he was younger. Honestly It was truly a humbling experience and on our way home we saw a lot of old women they were all greeting us saying “daalu bè kè” “ ije oma " which translate to “ well done white man 😂😂" "safe journey “ 😂😂. My grandma is a funny and strong woman she kept making jokes and telling stuff about my grandpa

My cousins
Owing to the fact that this was the first they would see me 😂😂 they were all amazed as to how big I have grown . I remember one of them saying in our local dialect “is this Levi ? , the same Levi they showed us his picture and told us about.. I doubt it, he so big with beards “ I laughed so hard , maybe even too hard 😂😂. Anyways 2 of all my cousins were the ones I hanged out with the most because we were same age and then they love asking me stuff about Lagos . Apparently Lagos people have seeing it all and Lagos is all about enjoyment , they don’t know about it 😂😂😂. Funny enough they both bear the say name ikechukwu which would mean “ power of GOD “ in igbo . I had to call them Ike 1 and Ike 2 . They took me to the village square , showed me around , took me to the local palm wine joint and bush bar .. the roads were very hilly I got scared at several points I won’t even lie 😂😂but it was so much fun to just go on full speed on one of their bikes and just feel the breeze go through your hair .
The weather and fun adventures
We would often just go hiking with huge boots of course the soil is clay and so it was sticky and it was really easy for our clothes to get dirty . We went to markets close to villages around ours we would just walk around for hours looking for things to buy. There was the famous food they sold called “okpa " well it wasn’t food per say it was more like a snack made with red oil and some other nice ingredients. We would often get some with palm wine and just eat to our fill.
The weather was quite soothing ..the air was dense and cold and fogs can be seeing at early hours of the morning. Just like most places in the east the weather is mostly cold because the sun rises in the east right ?!!!!😂😂 forgive me my geography is a bit rusty .. but yeah the weather was generally cold sha and we couldn’t go swimming till it was around mid day because it was really really cold. I saw lots of animals and insects in the bush I only took a few pictures because they would often run away before I got a chance to take really good pictures of them here are a few …

4 self development book every person should read !!!
Okay to be sincere I haven’t finished reading all these books😂😂 because honestly I don’t like a to read books except I have a test or exams .. I consider myself a creative .. I know I know 😂😂 just tolerate me . Anyways to the main reason for this article 5 self empowerment book to get your hands on
1.Gifted hands
99% of people reading this article must have read this book or might even be reading it currently because of it vast popularity and the influence of it Author. Personally I love “gifted hands “ because I started reading it at a point in my life where I need inspiration,see I had just got out from an ugly experience that almost took my life and I need some inspiration I needed will to keep pushing that was when I stumbled on “gifted hands “. Honestly ? It was really refreshing I remember I would read a chapter and at the end I would pause and try to put my imaginations into a test and see if I could just imagine what Ben was trying to talk about . Also this book was one of my favorite because I loved that Ben was telling a story about his childhood and you could tell that there was strife and struggle . I also enjoyed the fact that maintained his relationship with his brother and mother and even his dad , even those times he talked about school and grades and just life in general. Reading that book really and truly a humbling experience for me so yeah GIFTED HANDS is one you should get out.
2.48 laws of power
The 48 laws of power is probably the most controversial book of our generation. The book teaches some kind of secrete knowledge or wisdom on how to treat people. I remember get recommendation to read this book from my elder brother’s friend . When I eventually started reading the first 3 weeks I started acting weird 😂😂😂😂 like I was too wise for this world but you know how it is now, it wears out eventually 😂. I sha don calm down. Truth is one of the things I enjoyed about this book is the fact that the writer analyzed each law with detailed explanations for exam the law 2 “ NEVER PUT TOO MUCH TRUST IN FRIENDS , LEARN TO USE YOUR ENEMIES “ Which would simply mean beware of friends they are likely to betray easily because they are quick to envy you. Honestly the 48 laws of power is actually very good I even heard it is illegal in certain countries across the world because of the kind of wisdoms it contains. So yeah try to check this book out too 👍
3.The art of war (sun tzu)
This is one of my favorite books because I started reading this book because there was literally nothing else I could do I was caught between a rock and a hard place and I am thankful that I survived that experience but this book definitely shaped a new thing in me . So basically the art teaches you ancient war strategies and how to apply them to present day battle. It’s origin is from the Chinese and how their generals approach different kinds of wars in order to ensure victory . Apart from that this book book teaches it reader what they would need to become leaders in their various life fields this is not just a normal random book as it has been rewritten over and over again by different Chinese scholars over the decades. Scholars like CONFICIUS have had their part to play in the history of this original text of this book. Personally I love this book because of it deep meanings and exposure to real way situations. So yes “art of war” ? Definitely !!!.
4.The Subtle art of not giving a f*ck
Honestly I think mark Manson outdid himself on this book because it was so personal for me. It really felt like he was in front of me while I read these words I could really connect to what he was saying. So basically the book talks about not having to think that you are not good enough and the flaws of society, their beliefs and the pressure it puts on us as individuals. Funny enough chapter 4 - the value of suffering is probably my favorite chapter I love that the talked About lieutenant hiroo onoda of the Japanese imperial army. Okay maybe I am talking too much Asian culture I am sorry 😂😂 the Asian are just so amazing. Anyways “ the subtle art of not giving a fuck is one book you should definitely consider especially for people trying to boost their self esteem and to find their reason for life .it just a fun book to read honestly .

The first time I visited my roots (my village )
The fact that I was born and brought-up in Lagos and even stayed in the western part of Nigeria for such a long time seemed a little scary to most of my kinsmen in the east . They feel like I wouldn’t be able to adapt to culture and tradition or even speak the eastern language correctly, well for that last part they may not be entirely wrong. I don’t feel proud but i am not so good with languages but hey!! At least I am making efforts to get better when I speak. Anyways that is another topic for another day let me tell you about my amazing town called “MMAKU” which means “the beauty of wealth ” .
The mmaku people and the market place
Mmaku is a town in awgu local government of Enugu state in the eastern part of Nigeria. The natives of this town speak igbo ,although it’s is a special dialect of igbo but other eastern tribes or state can easily understand the language. My home town “mmaku” is a very hilly place filled with mountains, hills, valleys, rocks and so many other high level natural structures. Over the years the town has remained a sight for visitors and tourists because of its history with the colonial masters and various historical structures built in the town. The natives of mmaku are mostly farmers and traders or even sometimes both.personally I enjoyed the market and the market people they seemed friendly and they were all teasing me 😂😂😂 funny set of people.
The background in these pictures is the market place and the man in the last frame is my uncle who is a popular farmer and tradesmen chairman in this market . For typical igbo communities such as my town place they are various market days which means Goods or whatever can only be sold on these chosen days . For example there is the “eke market day “ which is a market day where people can come and buy foodstuff or get suppliers or anything other thing at this market. For you to properly understand this you would have to understand the calendar in igbo land .there are just 4 market days namely :- EKE , ORIE , NWKO and AFOR .
The OMO river
Aside the hills and mountains another popular site is the “Omo “river which is a special river to the people of mmaku . The river is close to my late mother’s village and most of the beautiful attractive women from the village often go there to fetch water or swim or relax
The river is a known to be a sacred river as the fisherman can not fish in this river and fishes in the river can not be eaten or killed by any native of this town. The water is cool and neat and surrounded by tall huge trees with underlaying rock beneath which spring out the water. Children from close by communities are seeing swimming or just sky diving 😂😂.. honestly just stepping into the river is very refreshing and comforting.I had fun although I couldn’t swim because I didn’t really come prepared to swim but I stayed in the water quite a long time took a lot of pictures as you can see above and made so videos . The church
the church in my town “st Teresa’s Catholic Church “ is also a beautiful sight to see I went there once and I had the time or my life .. although most of the preachings was done in igbo but it felt really refreshing and I felt really at home. Apparently my dad and the parish priest used to be servants together and so it was east for me to walk around take pictures and just generally explore . The choir was particularly good I loved it although I couldn’t take pictures inside the church seeing that it is a place of worship. In the olden days citizens of this town use to be traditional worshiper but now Christianity has cycled almost all over the town .
F F F - friends, family and food
I had the best kinds of food from bush meats to roasted antelope and fruits and drinks and stuff I remembered I gained a lot of weight when I came back . I went with my family and a friend of mine she showed us a lot of fun things and food.

During my teen years photography was something I thought I was sure going to do for a living. At some point I was saving up to buy a professional camera. Fortunately for me a friend lend me one “the Fuji film finepix s2980 “ I was so happy I just “oh finally I could really go all out and take pictures “ because then what I was using to take picture was my phone

Lagoon front Unilag
I gave my self a name which was coined from my original nickname “levaiking”. “Kingshotz “ Became a thing some of my close friends started calling me Kingshotz and honestly it felt really good .
For a long time it was quite interesting taking pictures editing a few and posting on Instagram I was ready to take on the world and then exams came I had to stop for a while and before I could get back to this my newly found passion my camera got spoilt to be fair it was already a little bit faulty when my friend gave me so let’s just say it got worse. In between juggling university education, photography and many other things I had going on in my life I couldn’t fix it on time and just like that I lost the drive to take pictures.
Until late last year when I visited my village I took some pictures and I really loved them. Here are a few I took with my phone
I actually enjoyed taking these pictures honestly it was fun. I would love to share all the beautiful pictures of hills and mountains I took but maybe I would do so in my next article .

Hi my name is Levi .. I am a student of the university of Lagos .. I am an aspiring model, tv personality, engineer and entrepreneur from the eastern part of Nigeria . I am a very easy going person I love straight-forward people and I am generally a playful person. I love art too and I am drawn to artistic people . My zodiac sign is cancer ♋️ though I don’t think I act like a cancer person . My favorite foods are fried plantain commonly called “dodo” and pap or jollof rice and fried turkey wings. I am a very religious person because I grew up in a spiritual home and my faith is most sacred to me.
i am the third child of my family and most people like to refer to me as the most talented. I don’t think that is true anyways. Growing up on the main land of Lagos and on the western part of Nigerian has greatly influenced my view of the world in general life lessons like “hard work beats talent “ “ only the strong will survive “
”money can change everything “ has been engraved into my body and soul either by accident or my conscious learning.
More also I like to work out , eat healthy and do a lot of exercise .. I would say I spend close to 3 days a week in the gym .. it’s fun actually building muscles and stay healthy. This is all I can say for now I would write more when I remember them thank you for reading and hope you welcome into this new stage of my life .
