Good evening noise and read friends! Did the weekend just fly by? How did you spend your Saturday and Sunday? I hope you guys got your much needed rest, relaxation, etcetera.
How do you express your frustration? Your anger? Has there been a time when you want to just like throw things?
I've only seen it in movies. Plates flying normally towards a man who cheated on his wife. Or a frustrated businessman who got duped clearing out his office desk in one sweep of both arms causing everything to tumble on the floor. I sometimes wonder if they've thought about how much us the cost of the things they threw and broke. I wonder if that adds up to their frustration. And if that makes them want to break more things. Endless cycle of frustrated and being frustrated.
One time, I and three other friends went on a trip to see Minalungao River in Nueva Ecija. Well, we went to the Minalungao National Park to see the river there. Some other writeups have a particular name of that river and it is not just "Minalungao". That place has got good reviews then. And the pictures of my other friends who were able to visit it before were super enticing.
You see these people in the block below? Go visit them! They have fantabolous stories.
We were excited to see it for ourselves. Others' pictures showed green waters some blue. There were rafts in their pictures as well. There was a bridge with a good view of the flowing river below. The rock formations were also awesome. Some say it's a little too crowded. So we decided not to go there on a holiday or summer.
We drove out very excited on a December and on a weekday so that chance of it being crowded was lesser.
The funny thing was, when we got there, we had our taste of expectation versus reality. We had the rock formations alright. As the river runs in between limestone walls. But the water was brown not the jade we we were expecting.
Also, swimming in it was prohibited that time. We found out from the locals that the water usually turns brown after the rain. The rain disturbs the bottom of the river plus the water from the mountains also flow through here. According to them, it normally takes three days to clear out and the jade color to come back. They experienced rain just the night before.
So we've achieved one thing: less tourists. But since we were there the activity we were able to enjoy was exploring the area. We enjoyed it so far laughing at ourselves even. Besides when you are in a trip, it is not the destination as much sa the company that is worth treasuring -in some occasions ahaha.
We went out of the place with a different story tell from others and for that we were satisfied.
The next stop though was the real highlight of our trip. We decided to visit the place with Tacsiyapo wall in Isdaan Floating Restaurant.
We ate very good dinner. We were entertained by these mascots even.
After dinner we went to face the famous wall - Tacsiyapo wall. What is it famous for? It is famous for allowing visitors to vent out their anger, scream their hearts out and throw things at the wall smashing it to pieces.
They said Tacsiyapo is a Kapampangan (language spoken by largely by those who live in Pampanga) word meaning "Shame on you". The attendee told us it is best to scream "Tacsiyapo!" before throwing the stuff to the wall.
The wall also was painted with the possible people you may have grievances against or with. The pile of broken stuff at the bottom of the wall makes it even more inviting to try out. It is like they are telling you to add more broken shards there.
And these are the things you can try to throw. . . with a price of course. Prices may have changed now.
The wall is a little far from where you can throw the items. So the added fun there is thinking who or what you are angry about and then wishing your throw will reach the wall and smash what you threw. Did we try? Of course. Were our throws able to reach the wall. Yes. That was a good release. We ended up laughing each time.
Mugs. Vase. Plates. And, yes, if you are so super angry and feeling like the green guy Hulk, why not grab the TV and try to throw it to the wall?
At this time in our situation, I have no idea if the wall is still there or if the restaurant is operating at all.
So would you try? hahaha.
