February Read & Noise.Cash Report - BCH Rewards: 5.52 BCH ($1800)
This is a special report since it contains the rewards of the Mythbusting 2021 writing contest.
The payments of the contest were released in February, and all unique participants (winners or not) deserve congratulations for their work.
I have to thank the elves for voting my content ("Bitcoin Cash - A Store of Value AND Means of Exchange") in the first place. I have already pledged 1BCH, no matter the price (which undoubtedly will be higher) for the next year's Mythbuster contest, meaning I won't be participating as a writer but as an elf, voting content, instead.
The 4BCH reward is added to the total and makes February one of my best months in terms of BCH accumulation, especially when adding the BCH profit from NFT trading I previously analyzed.
The total rewards from writing platforms for February were 5.52BCH (~$1800), making it one of my top-performing months so far.
The February Report - 5.52BCH
Read.Cash (1.26BCH ~$415)
Read.cash total rewards (net profit) was 1.26BCH (~$415 at the time of writing), which is fantastic!
Adding the 4BCH reward from the Mythbusting contest makes it a magnificent month.
I observed a drop in views numbers during the month, and the spreadsheet represented it better at the end of the month. Down to 162 (average reads per post) from 213 the previous monthary.
I tried to locate the cause of this and concluded it probably has to do with two or three reasons:
The price crash of BCH in February
The quality of my work and the topics I present
The promotion of my work
To elaborate further:
The price crash of BCH in February
Nobody wants to read about their long-term investments crashing and burning to the ground. Even posts containing positive news will receive fewer reads if the market is crashing. Interest is always lower during a bearish market.
But this is also the time where opportunities arise. Perhaps the best time to BUY crypto.
There is a saying: when markets crash investors change the channel.
It is a correct approach for long-term investors. The market will eventually recover unless there is a significant devastating event occurring.
As prices recover, I expect reads for my posts to recover as well. Although, I suspect this is not the main reason I lost viewers in February.
The quality of my work and the topics I present
Quality:
I feel that perhaps the quality of my posts was not top-notch. I hope I am improving all this time, but there is always doubt, and as I’ve recently found out, many writers will often question their abilities at some point.
I try new to bring a fresh approach, but always keep what seems to work and avoid what seems not to. I am striving to raise quality, but also considering I may be stagnating as a writer and should consider training or perhaps consume more time improving my English.
Topics:
I wrote a lot about flipstarters during February since all of them (in my opinion) were important for the adoption and promotion of Bitcoin Cash. Yet, it seems posts about Satoshi (Satoshi Was Right, Bitcoin Cash is The Proof) attracted more attention than practical matters.
I also like cool stories involving Satoshi, so perhaps I should cite the founder of Bitcoin more often in the future.
Promotion of my articles
I present my work on Twitter, noise.cash, and Reddit.
I am constantly looking for ways to genuinely (and by no means artificially) increase the reads and follower numbers.
I am currently thinking about more activities that may attract more readers to my read.cash articles, and maybe I have found some that can work.
I have seen some of my articles reaching 10k views on Medium, while I would prefer these numbers on read.cash instead, since this is the platform I am originally publishing 99% of my work.
I never linked my work on telegram channels, and while I am confident it would boost my numbers, perhaps it would be annoying to some telegram users.
However, sometimes I have seen my links shared on telegram channels by other users, and I am grateful to my readers that liked my content and shared it with others.
Many articles I published in previous months are still attracting readers daily.
The report is about the articles I published during February, though, and I can’t count the reads my previous articles received. It would require data from the beginning to the end of each month for hundreds of articles.
Still, I maintain a list of all my articles and try to revise it with updated numbers when I have time.
I update some of those posts trying to keep them relevant. I feel that our previous work matters as much as the last post we published and I have often reworded parts of my previous work to make them more readable and updated.
Noise.cash: (0.256BCH, $83)
Marc tipped me $10 on two occasions in February ($20 total), raising my noise.cash rewards in a quarter of a BCH (0.256BCH) which in fiat terms translates to approximately $83.
Noise cash is consistently rewarding users for more than one year, and soon I will also have my first anniversary in both read.cash (March 3rd) and noise.cash (later)!
Got to thank my noise.cash followers for their interest in my noises and Marc for the constant support!
I increased the use of noise.cash in February and now publish probably two posts daily on average, but also participate in some interesting discussions.
Hive (Restarted)
I have started publishing at Hive again after two months. I have a different plan in mind, to write new content on that platform as well, but as time is limited, I will probably be able to publish one or two articles per week.
I hope there will be an audience at Hive interested in my work and perhaps the new approach to bring content first published at Hive could attract more followers and readers. I will consider bringing some different topics for discussion at Hive, such as Metaverse-related content for example, but read.cash will always be the number one priority.
Medium
I had 12k views on Medium in February, which is a good reason to keep publishing. I only posted nine articles on Medium in February, and the numbers dropped a lot in the last few days.
I continue to republish some content, but I am no longer receiving payments. Medium is a chaotic platform favoring social media influencers while ignoring completely non-subscribed members.
Stopping partnership didn't affect views positively, and the rise at the beginning of the previous month coincided with the monthly report (How To EARN $800 Monthly With These TWO Platforms) I publish that was trending for a few days.
This report also brought hundreds of newcomers in read.cash and noise.cash and my affiliate numbers also soared.
I hope this report will have a similar effect when I republish it at Medium.
My Medium followers are rising significantly for the last few months, and this is the main reason I will not quit publishing there.
I consider Medium as a hub for all writers and recommend starting a Medium and republishing content as it will have a long-term effect on our follower base.
In Conclusion: My BCH Position
I hold more than 40BCH today and an additional 10-15BCH in Metamask (smartBCH), including tokens and NFTs. Tokens and NFTs are volatile but may present rare opportunities within smartBCH. NFTs are not easily liquidatable and their evaluation is not easy.
As I explained in this article: "Why You NEED To Be In SmartBCH NFTs TODAY!", 26 of these BCH is the net profit from NFT trading.
I started the year with about 10BCH, and reached 40BCH today with my investments in smartBCH combined with the read.cash and noise.cash BCH rewards.
I don't consider selling a single satoshi since developments and adoption are rising. My target is 100BCH for 2022 and to achieve this number I plan to keep investing in smartBCH. Perhaps half of the BCH in my wallet will move to smartBCH projects that deserve it.
Sometimes I take risks that I discuss with my articles. I prefer a responsible approach though, so I avoid presenting projects that present red flags or poor fundamentals. Nontheless, nothing is certain, and what seems to be a great opportunity can always turn into a failure.
I hope the total is positive, though, and so far it has been.

I have also noticed that there has been a drop in rewards from the robot. And from my observations, every time something affects the market, he reduces the rewards. That is my theory.
I use telegram groups to show my posts to other users, but they are telegram groups of people who also post. I hadn't thought of Reddit for that.
On noise I post in Spanish, but the amount of readers and rewards is low. I tried to post in English on channels, but my posts are not approved, I think it's because most of my content is in Spanish.
In hive, I haven't started to publish yet, but in blurt, and I think it's a good place to write.
And I have also made a table in Excel, but I didn't add the views or likes, just the tips, post names, link, date and amount of words.
