You've Got To Plan.
There is no denying the fact that resources are scarce. They are scarce with respect to so many factors. We can say it's because we have more people on the planet that would make the resources not go round or we can even say that it's artificial scarcity where a certain set of people deliberately hold off on certain things and keep a larger percentage for themselves. The truth is, the world has enough of our needs but not enough for our greed and we can only have enough when we choose to care enough, share enough and of course, plan enough.
The profit of the earth is for everyone. Everyone has the right to have an equal share in what we have been blessed with and what their respective countries can provide for them but that's not the case. 20% of the citizens control 80% of the wealth and this is the case all around the world. This is why planning is important and those who don't plan soon find themselves at the back end of things.
Money is good, God knows I want as much as I can lay my hands on but when we plan SOMETIMES, we should not be driven by the monetary gains. It's good to have a financial forecast when you are starting a new business but when you are only for the gains, you would soon lose the customers because customer satisfaction should come first and people respond to value.
As I said, money is good but when you start planning, you don't have to make money your only focus because when you do that, you would limit yourself to other aspects of things. Planning is not all about money because when the foundation is solid, a lot of things can be built on it and money would naturally come. A lot of people focus too much on how much they can make from a venture rather than focus on improving the quality of what they can do. It goes across boards too and I can say even in the things we write, quality, planning and how we want our message to come across is important.
When you set your sight on only the monetary gains, you will soon get disappointed and the quality of what you can offer would reduce. I've seen a lot of people put out posts of just 2 minutes read and feel disappointed when they wake up and didn't see as much money as they would have liked on it. I know it's not only in the length of things but also in the quality of it. Most of the time we do a rush job because we are too focused on what we would get at the end of it.
The thing with life is that no one realizes how valuable their time is until they have committed themselves to make plans. Life is all about planning and nothing can ever be enough, that's the truth. We grow in stages and once we cross a particular stage, our appetite increases, our focus enlarges and we want more. It's natural for us to want more when we have crossed a particular stage but it's easier to crash and burn too when adequate planning is not put in place.
It's funny how many people expect others to plan for them and they won't take charge of their own lives. If you ask them what they would like to do, they have no clue as to what they would love to do. It's okay to take your time to determine what you want to figure out on your own but never allow anyone to plan your life for you in the direction you are not willing to go. Time moves so fast and no one can plan for you as much as you can plan for yourself.
Planning requires both the logical aspect of things and analytical thinking. There is the logical part and there is the part where you have to make research and then apply your senses to make it whole. Not one can and should think for you. They can at best suggest things to you but the decision must rest on which direction you want to go.
As funny as it might sound, trust me, God won't think for you. He gave us brains for a reason. Someone once joked that God gave us senses so that we can let Him rest. We have those who can advise us but we have to be the ones to think and plan things out. It's the steps you take that God can order and God can point you in a certain direction but He won't force you to walk the length of it.
If you don't know how to plan your life, nothing can be enough for you. The truth is, nothing is ever enough in the world we live in, so planning comes in handy. Those who don't plan would always ask for more time. Time is never enough, salaries or earnings can never be enough, especially with the mounting responsibilities we have in the world today and that's why we need to plan. It requires discipline.
It's shocking because I've seen situations where many people plan their lives with someone else's resources. In accounting, we have been told many times that money you have not received cannot be banked on because of the uncertainty of the situation. We have all been blessed with time and the ability to think but laziness sometimes kicks in and we take a relaxed approach. You can't plan your life with other people's time and resources.
Everything that you need to succeed is inside you. People who don't plan would waste all their time doing what adds no value to them. Those who don't plan, waste today complaining about yesterday and they waste tomorrow as well, lamenting about today.

It's quite funny that i got to read the part 2 of this article before the part 1, it's still okay as i have learned alot from it. Anyone who does not plan is so far from achieving his/her dreams. The scriptures confirms it, βGood planning and hard work lead to prosperity.β Proverbs 21:5 nlt.
