Happy Saturday, Readers! How are you all doing today? I hope you had a fantastic Friday, and I hope you also have a great Saturday.
2022 is already going so quickly, and we are already on the 15th day of the year, soon we will be seeing the end of January (the 1st month). Something I find funny is how fast time moves, and you might be thinking this year is going slow, but it is moving at a quick pace.
It has been 15 days since we all said “Happy New Year,” and celebrated with our families.
It has been 15 days since we all set our new year resolutions and goals, but not many people are working towards them, and it is sad because it is so easy to say something, but it is way harder to act upon it.
I am sure we all have goals/resolutions that we want to achieve this year, and that is why I must tell you not to waste time anymore, because even though we are still only in the 15th, time goes fast, and soon we will be celebrating another new year. Manage your time wisely.
Wasting time is a problem, but something worse than wasting time is moving with “Bad Company.”
There are so many types of people in this world, and when there are so many people, there will surely be bad people who will always try their best to hurt other people and even go as far as stopping the progress of others.
Many of us tend to always stick around with bad friends because they won’t influence us, but that is incorrect.
Only if you are strong-willed that bad friends won’t influence you, and if you aren’t strong, they will eventually consume you, and your values will begin to change.
I once knew an intelligent guy, who even got a scholarship for how brilliant he was, but there was one problem, and that was the kind of friends he kept beside him.
If people see you with bad company, they will eventually think you do the same things as them, which happened here.
He followed the wrong people, and when these people were caught for theft, his name was also caught, and he ended up losing the scholarship and his freedom.
The weirdest part about this is that he wasn’t involved in the robbery, but his “friends” told the police he was involved and got arrested.
Even if they don’t influence us, bad friends would always find a way to bring us down because they don’t want to see us succeed, and they will do their best to make sure we fail with them.
No one deserves this kind of person in their life because you will never reach your true potential if you involve yourself with them, and that is a fact.
The problem with bad friends/people is that they don’t show their true selves to us, and they usually work in the shadows.
When you look at them, they will behave like your best friends, but the moment you turn back, they bring their knives out to stab you.
Some of us have these individuals in our lives, but they don’t show themselves to us, and that is why you have to know your friends well, because if you don’t, you may end up being stabbed in the back literally.
In life, you don’t need people that will draw you back. Instead, you need to have people who will always be there for you when you need them.
In my previous article, I stated how having good friends decides whether you will be successful or not, and that is the truth.
Good friends don’t draw you back.
Good friends are happy when you are successful, and they celebrate with you.
Good friends, don’t talk trash about you.
Good friends pull you out of the ditch you dug for yourself and pushed you towards success.
We gain many things when we have good friends, and that is why we should always search for these individuals that will help us, not drag us down.
Many of us focus much on appearances when we pick our friends, which is why we tend to pick the wrong individuals.
It doesn’t matter how tall, short, beautiful, or handsome a person is; all that matters are their personality and soul.
