The Game Night at Telos Discord: Ramdom Things About Appics
Being one of the Appics junior ambassadors of the Philippines, I had already received two tasks from our senior ambassador. The first one was to create a video accumulating the #smileyappics entries from the appicsph content creators. I had a hard time taking screenshots of all the entries so I decided to stop retrieving them after getting at least 30 entries, there were more but there’s a major bug in the app right now which sends the content feed in a loop and was giving me a headache.
Well, that was done and I hope everyone who follows appicsph had seen that video. This week, I received another task which is to host the quiz bee game night in Telos’ community Discord channel, specifically in the Filipino channel.
If you are not yet in that channel, I invite you to join, check the invite link below, make sure to get yourself verified then after that, go to the roles sub channel and click on the Philippine flag, the Filipino channel will automatically show up. Once in a while, our senior ambassador makes interesting games and other stuff, he gives incentives to those who are able to join.
So, being tasked to host the quiz, Fycee gave a thousand pesos, approximately $20 for the winners. I made a quick research, some stalking on some APX holders, and collated the questions possible for the quiz. I made some announcements about this as well as Fycee.
I scheduled it by 8:30 PM. But before getting started, I shared this quiz bee to Noisecash too since there are users in there who are also in Appics. Gladly, there were a few who had joined us. It was a un night.
The game lasted for an hour. Here are the questions I had prepared and the corresponding answers.
1. What is APPICS slogan?
This was the easy round and the joiners were very enthusiastic, the correct answer is: “passion rewarded”
It was our energetic senior citizen Ate Judy @jurich65 who got the answer correctly. She’s beyond 60 years old and was able to get to type the answer in which I guess she deserves some good stuff.
2. Where is Appics' headquarters?
I never thought that most of the joiners don’t have an idea where the headquarters are. I had to accept an incomplete answer instead because they got no idea at all of the location.
Answer: Baarerstrasse 10, Zug, Switzerland
This time, @iameden answered it, I just considered it as a lot were askingg what’s the correct answer.
3. In which year did APPICS start?
Answer: 2016, ICO
There were a few who tried to guess it but it was @mechea who got it correctly. On 2016, they released the initial coin offering for APX. We all learned from that. Thanks as well to the ambassadors who had helped me during this round.
4.What are the different types of APX in your wallet?
Answer: There are 2 different types of APX in your wallet — staked APX, which make up your voting power, and un-staked (= liquid) APX, which can be transferred
This information can be found in the Appics website, this is very hard for newbies to the crypto world but I hope that giving this question and the moderators and ambassadors were able to explain this well to the audience. I hope they understood about the said information because this is important in building each of our accounts and in being able to cash out from all our earnings too and enjoy it.

5. How long is the power down period?
Answer: power-down period has been reduced to 10 weeks
It took sometime before @renavlogs got the correct answer. This is way shorter now so everyone who had a lot of APX holding can take advantage of this but if they believe about the application, I am sure that more and more individuals would power up every once in awhile to improve their standing in the app.
6.What does the hot section displays?
Answer: “hot” section shows posts that received the most comments and upvotes within the last 24hours
This is a bit tricky because Hot and Trending looks very close, one would be confused what's the difference. But the difference of the two is actually the time frame. The Hot section displays those which were within 24 hours. The user named khenbee was able to get the correct tricky.
7. How much percentage does the content creator receives from the earning?
Answer: the content creator earns 65% of the sum, the users who voted earn 25% and 10% returns to the APPICS platform
This is a very helpful question and will answer most of the people who had received a good upvotes on their posts. The correct answer was made by @g10a.
8. What is appics store link?
Answer: appics.store
Everyone was not able to get it right but thanks for the other junior ambassadors who were able to figure it out. This store offers clothing and has really good designs.

Answer: Appics
Of course this is the tag which is being users all over appics. So, it is very understandable that this tag is always used by the aspics user but note that the appicsph which is our community tag is at the third spot!
10. What are the 3 sorting options when inside a hashtag search?
Answer: New, hot, trending
The users who got this right were jewel, nhez, and cinde. On the app, when searching for a hashtag, one can tap on the dots at the upper right side of the app, these options will show up and will sort the contents into what the kids would like.
11. How many APX does the two ferretto brothers have in total?
Answer: 4M
I searched on several users and found Steffertto posting about this. I went ahead and check some pictures that he posted, found it he was monitoring on some fish animals and more.
It was rhendel who won this part.
12. How much is ferrettoalbe’s estimated one full 100% upvote?
Answer: 15$
This was a game of chance because everyone had no idea about the ferret brothers’ upvote value but I had followed them and Alberto Ferretto or ferrettoalbe had posted letting everyone guess their total APX holding. With that, he also mentioned he will upvote anyone who had guessed it right. That’s when I figured it out as he had upvoted the comment and it was a full upvote according to him.
Already, that was quite fun, everyone enjoyed it and had learned as well the things about APX as well as some interesting stuff. I hope they all learned and I hope that you, while reading this also had learned more about Appics.
