Coming from an energy-draining island-hopping activity in Busuanga, the tour agency's private van dropped us at Patrick and Tezz Guesthouse, that's where we stayed during this four day-three nights adventure trip in Coron. We didn't just have island hopping but we also went to see and feed the Giraffes at the Calauit Safari Park. Check out the articles here:
And thus, we were back in Coron. It was already almost sundown, we rested a bit, my brother and his wife were all drained from the day's activities that they were not interested in going to anymore but my husband and I just don't want to end the day inside the guesthouse. We got to do something, we have to see how Lualhati Park looks like at the end of the day and watch the sunset too!
So, after we got ourselves freshened up, we walked towards Lualhati Park. It was just a few minutes of walking though. We also passed by some tourist inns, hotels, we even planned on getting gelato after dinner as we saw a gelato store nearby.
As we were walking to the park, we thought of where to eat. There's a restaurant nearby which offers grilled seafood, we thought that's a perfect spot!
Sunset
Lualhati Park is where the island hopping boats dock after a full day of staying in the sea. Most boatmen are also fishermen so some of them go out fishing too at night but not with the tour boat but their very own paddle boats.
The sun's power was almost losing its strength but it was showing off great golden tones in the skies down to the mountains and the sea. The waters reflect it making those shimmers.
I spotted some cool boats with flourish paints on its body. These are smaller types of tourist boats and I guess they were intended for private purposes. They were colorful too!
Tried taking photos of every area including their lamp posts because why not?
Then I shifted towards the sea. It was not yet sundown but I edited this photo below to look like it was already blue hour but not yet.
More boats are still sailing but there were no tourists in them. Perhaps these boats were out fishing. I couldn't count the number of boats in the park. There were too many! The bay is actually covered by them.
Thinking about it, I wonder how's Coron and the tourism in the area? How are the boatmen doing and their boats too?
Finally, it was sunset time. The surrounding became dark, the mighty sun in all its splendor just hid behind the clouds and down behind the mountains. It was time to go to the restaurant for dinner!
I messaged my brother that we will meet at the restaurant instead, we waited for them while we listened to the live band. There were so many customers around too because it was just time for dinner. The pricing on that restaurant was on the expensive side.
Sunrise
As if the sunset view was not enough, my husband and I woke up early again in the morning to get a glimpse of the sunrise in Coron. The original plan was to go up to Mt. Tapyas but since we were running late, we ended up back at Lualhati Park. Today's our last day and we won't be going somewhere, we will just be staying in the guesthouse and wait for our van to take us to the airport.
Oh, I missed mentioning that we had that gelato. The cafe was small but it offers a lot of gelato flavor and I already forgot what flavor I chose, I didn't have pictures, I guess I took photos of it on our mobile phone and lost them already.
Nope, we didn't rent a motorcycle, someone parked it there. The lawn was too wide so the rider perhaps was too excited to get out of the vehicle, he didn't mind parking it in a safer spot.
There were fishermen taking a very early grind. It was I believe around past five in the morning when we reached the park. Sunrise will show up very soon. The sun will rise from behind the hills.
There was smog too captured by our camera and the sun was almost up. There are settlements in this area too. Their public market is just nearby the park, I believe we also went there to buy some food for breakfast after taking photos.
And in just a few minutes, the sun showed up. We had to take some photos of us in silhouette style. The camera was set up in a timelapse mode here, yes we didn't mind the people around, there were only a few tourists too.
After a few more minutes, Coron just showed its beauty once again. The surroundings were visible and the skies had revealed the panoramic view below. I recalled our island-hopping adventure, it was there that we waited for our boat.
And here's Lualhati Park:
It was our last day in Coron, we had a blast! Our next adventure together with my brother and sister-in-law was in Cotabato, General Santos, and supposed to be in Siargao too in 2020 but due to the pandemic, this was canceled.
Perhaps we will travel again in the future.
Thank you for checking out this blog. Here's more of Coron:
