There are different kinds of people living in this world. In my point of view, there are four categories of people, which are

1. Some people are so generous and lives for others

2. Some are nice, and they want to get something in return of something back.

3. Other people are greedy they want everything for themselves, but they don't mind if other people having or don't having those things they want

4. The worst kind of people are, they want everything and hate others if other people have any of those things they want, even they take those thing from them by force or some alternative methods.

Anyways, I am not here to distinguish between kinds of people or tell that there are others as well or I missed some xzy type of people.

But want to discuss something else. To be honest, I am inspired from the article Careful what you wish for by @ARTicLEE. I am going to pick a paragraph of their blog:

It boils down to choices. What do you desire most in life? Knowledge? Power? Wealth? Free from suffering and pain? What are you willing to sacrifice to obtain those and at what cost? Would you sacrifice the lives of others or even yourself?

In this blog I'm gonna talk about the first three, Knowledge, Power and Wealth.

Let's deep dive into the understanding part. something I want to share from my knowledge..

Knowledge

It is a very common saying that

Knowledge is power.

Reaching moons, going to Mars, staying in space, living in Antarctica, making hundred story buildings, discovery of unlimited galaxies, stars, proton, neutron, human anatomy and everything science knows is possible because of?

Yes, you are right it is because of the Knowledge

Everyone knows, the advancement, technology, updates etc. that we see (also touch, hear, smell or taste) nowadays is due the knowledge, human has or will have.

It seems like knowledge can do everything, can bring advancement, new technology, updates.

Power

Have you seen Game of Thrones?

There is time when the Petyr Baelish a.k.a. Littlefinger confronts the queen, Cersei Lannister.

Littlefinger says to to the queen:

A simple truth, I found:

Knowledge is power

The queen says to her guards:

• Seize him.

  (The guards seize him.)

• Cut his throat.

  (They take out the swords and a guard draws a knife to Littlefinger's throat.)

• Stop...

• Wait...

• I have changed my mind.

• Let him go.

  (They suddenly stop and let the Littlefinger go.)

• Step back three paces.

  (The guards step back as directed.)

• Turn around.

  (They turn around.)

• Close your eyes.

  (The guards close their eyes.)

(The queen says to Littlefinger)

Power... is Power.

In her case the power in her possession is everything and beyond the knowledge. Knowledge has not value in front of her.

If you keep such situations in mind the you knowledge has nothing in front of power. You will accept that yourself that power is power. Power can have anything that comes in front of it or it wants to have it.

That's fine, Power is power.

• Let consider another example

Suppose you have power, but don't have knowledge, how to utilize that power. In other words, what if there is a mad/mentally ill person instead of the queen Cersei Lannister or becomes a king? What will he be able to do with the things in his possession (power)?

Wealth

Sometime knowledge has no value in front of wealth.

Let's assume you have knowledge but don't have wealth. A love one needs an urgent surgery. You do have knowledge on how to operate, but to operate it needs equipment, accessories and medicine for which of course you will need money. And when you don't have money, you knowledge is wasted.

Wealth can buy you power. It can give you stuff required for knowledge, but can never buy the knowledge.

If you have wealth, it can get almost everything including respect (sometimes).

Closing Arguments

Some people live for others. Others want things in return of something else. Another kind of people want things, however other have those things or not, it doesn't matter to them. The worst kind of people is they want things without losing something else and don't want other to have those.

Knowledge, Power and Wealth, each has its own place and own benefits.

Sometimes they are required and mandatory for each others. Sometimes, one is will a prerequisite for another.

We shall no doubt desire, any of these three (knowledge, power and wealth) or maybe all of these, but wisely.

According to my experience and observations one need some portion of each of the mentioned three and should have it.
