Don't Tell my Mom I'm a Liar
***"When will you come home, sweetie? I miss you."*** mom asked again. "I miss you, too, Mom. Most likely in December. I'm swamped at work; I'll finish this first so they don't call me while I'm there. I'll be home soon." I responded.
(I want to go home, Mom. I want to kiss you and hug you. I wish I could cry on your shoulder, but I can't. I don't want you to be worried. I don't want you to see me this way.)
***"Turn on your video, I wanna see you."*** mom said. "Oh, my signal is now quite weak. Maybe later." I rep-lied.
(I don't want you to notice how bad my eyebags are. How pale I am as a consequence of my condition. How awful my pimple scars on my cheeks are as a result of stress and poor eating habits. I'll turn on my camera later after I apply some make-up to cover everything up so I appear healthy to you.)
***"Are you eating well there? What did you have for breakfast? Your dad's insomnia has flared up again, and I remembered you having it as well. How's your sleep? "*** mom asked. "Uhm. I slept well, mom; in fact, I sleep 8 hours every weekdays and possibly 12 hours on weekends. Haha!" I rep-lied.
(I don't eat breakfast as much as I did to when I lived there. I just drank my coffee. Yes, I had that too. I'm constantly jolted awake around 3 a.m., and it's difficult for me to get right back to sleep; sometimes my eyelids are closed, but I'm up till 6 a.m. and get up to prepare to go to work.)
***"Hi, Ate. We have utility bills to pay here at home; Dad's money will arrive next week, but I need to pay for the utility bills right now. Could you help me? I'll pay you back once Dad's paycheck arrives."*** my sister asked. "You don't have to pay me back cause I still have some money. Instead of paying me, get something for Mom."
(It's for my dress to attend a friend's wedding, although I guess I may still use my old dresses. Hehe.)
***"Your aunts and uncles asked about you, I told them that you were fine. You have already paid nearly half of the entire cost of our ancestral home. They praised me on raising you and your sister properly. They're excited to meet you when you get home."*** Mom happily told me. "That's great. And my sister and I are blessed to have you as our mom. I'm happy to meet them again too." I answered.
(I'm having trouble paying the house. I'm constantly stressed because the agent calls me to follow up on my payment. Screw those relatives. I don't want to run across them again. They hurt you when we had nothing, but now that we have something, they approach us like angels? Funny.)
***"KC, I'm calling you, why aren't you answering? Are you all right? You driving?"*** mom asked me. "Yes, mom, I'm just working hard so that I can have a long holiday in December; I'll make it up to you; I'll phone you when I get to my apartment," I rep-lied.
(I'm not fine, mom; I'm at my apartment now. I'll phone you after I've spent hours crying in the shower.)
***"How's your mental health? You know you can always talk to me."*** mom asked me. "I'm alright, mom; I'm so busy that those demons can't get in. Don't worry. Be well for me." I rep-lied.
(I'm tired, Mom. I'm sick of living. I'm sick of being an adult. Tired of trying to impress everyone. I was fed up with my childhood traumas. It's hard to trust people. Carrying every burden on my own, and weary of pretending I'm always fine so you don't know how fragile and weak I am since you lived with it for years. No one has fought for you, so I must.)
What you don't know won't hurt you. At least in your eyes, your daughter is fine.
I Won't Blink [RRFB]
"Your eyes are the windows to your soul", as they always say. But my eyes aren't quite like that. It's just a mirror of Erised. You will only see what you desire and want to see. It's like a lake, as tranquil as it appears. You can clearly see yourself if you look into it without any waves or chaos, but don't be fooled by it. It's lethal. You might feel all the hatred and become disturbed and drowned by it.
I'm the one who never blinks. It's a curse. Even though they were hurting me, I smiled without blinking because if they saw me blink, I'd melt like a burning candle in a dark maze.
They describe me as intimidating because I always have an answer to whatever they say. I always keep my head up to protect the crown in my head and maintain my position as the tallest person in my kingdom. But whenever night falls, I close my chamber, which is guarded by hundreds of dementors, remove that crown, and blink as many times as I want.
After centuries of doing it routinely, someone sneaks into the chamber when I left it open. He's a wandering white ghost. And he saw what I was doing. He saw my first blink and saw wax coming out of my eyes; after that, the wax didn't stop falling, burning my legs who caught it and making a mournful sound only heard in hell.
The white ghost can't believe what he's seeing. He's still stunned that he accidentally swayed the vase next to where he's hiding. I quickly placed the crown on my head to keep the wax from falling in my face and searched for the intruder.
I found him. I threatened to kill him if he told anyone what he saw, and he promised and vowed not to. Since then, he visits me in my chamber every day, even though I don't want him to, and he holds the crown for me when we're inside. He's letting the wax come out and waiting for it to fall. He's helping me in catching the burning wax and sharing my pain.
I showed my vulnerability, all my chaos and flaws, and he loved me all the more for it. I fell for him as well. I told him I'd join him. I'm going to kill myself and meet him in the afterlife, but he won't let me, so he'll just wait for the right time. Until the last drop of this burning candle self melts.
Heaven or Hell [RRFB]
Saturday morning, I got up in a hospital bed with my head throbbing in agonizing pain, but other than that, I'm good. I removed my hospital robe and changed into a white dress beside my bed before walking around the hall, barefoot.
I've seen quite a few people in the facility's waiting area. Some are worried, some are grieving for their lost loved ones, and some are delighted that their relatives or friends have been spared from death, but are thinking hazardous actions only to pay their medical expenses.
"Hey, beautiful. Hope to hook up with you in the afterlife," a creepy man with a bandage on his head said.
Eww. What a creep. I just roll my eyes at him as he smirks and stares at my buns. I really hate this kind of people. I know they're just praising what they see, but it was so wrong that it made a person feel harassed and uneasy. Well, I'm not one who would make a fuss, but **you will get what you deserve in the end**.
I made my way down the hallway to the billing desk. I tried talking to the clerk, but she didn't seem to notice or hear me. I yelled, but it was in vain. Someone spoke behind me.
"Machia Vellian, 35 years old, Cause of Death: Traumatic Brain Injury." a man in a black suit and tie and a black hat.
"What? No. It can't be—" I came to a halt as I saw the blanket fall, revealing my own lifeless body lying in the gurney being pushed to the morgue by medical personnel.
I'm in complete shock and don't know what to do. I ran as fast as I could to our house, where I found my parents bawling and yelling because they couldn't believe such a thing could happen to me. I saw police officers as well, and they were discussing the suspect who hammered my back head, who is now deceased. It's the guy that catcalled me at the hospital earlier.
The flashback hit me like a bolt of lightning. I was a lawyer, a clever one. I can win any case, no regardless of how difficult it is. Because of money and fame, I had to deal with both decent and terrible clients. As a result, the really innocent will be jailed, while the criminal will be allowed to roam outside the cage. Money is the source of all evil, indeed. You have power if you have money. That's how I think.
"You are a lawyer in this world, but you will be a judge at the end of the bridge of the afterlife for a thousand century. You will be able to determine if a person belongs in heaven or hell. Only you can see the percentage over their heads. 51% and above will go to heaven, while 49% and below will go to hell. And if it's 50%, they are the people who wronged you and it's up to you to decide where they go." The man in a black suit explained.
"Is this some sort of a curse? Why don't you just throw me in hell?" I exclaimed.
"Being in hell is a lighter punishment to pay for all your sins. As a sentence, you will remember all of the evil things you did while you were still alive. It will ring in your head like a gong every day and every night, driving you insane. You will run across people you mistreated, but they will not remember you. Their fate is in your control. Every bad decision will increase your time in the middle of heaven and hell, and every good decision will decrease your time in prison," the man in the black suit added. "Off you go."
The portal appeared before my eyes, and as I passed through it, I found myself in the middle of heaven and hell, like a sentry on duty. I'm curious who my first guest will be.
What's up?
Today is a bit dreary, and the Thursday blues are creeping to me, so I wrote this fantasy story. How are things going for you? I hope you're doing well. Au revoir!

Act Like It's 1999 │ Pt. 5: TDSATVW
**Mavis, The Vampire Witch** woke up in her bed. It's like she's sleeping all day, dreaming about the dark maze she and Nathan, the Direwolf Sorcerer, were in.
"What an adventure," she thought of herself.
She closed her eyes again. Thinking about nonsensical things. Wondering if ants have noses, how big they are, how many holes they have, and other such things. Sounds ridiculous but that's what she thought.
It's already 21st century and she's still living in this great big world, but she feels trapped within a rotten box. Sigh. Sigh. Nothing but a sigh.
She didn't aware she was snoozing again on her bed until she heard a knock. A mail envelope slid through the gap of her door just as she was about to open it. It's some sort of letter. She broke the seal and read the letter, not knowing who it might be from.
***Greetings! Vampy Witch,***
*First and foremost, I'd like to thank you for saving my life. Mysterious entities using dark magic took me into that maze. I'm not sure how you found me, but I'm grateful.*
*As a thank you, I'd want to take you to a really nice place. I'd appreciate it if you let me.*
***Direwolf Sorcerer***
Her old soul heart was ecstatic. As though she's an old soul stuck in the body of a young lady. She was startled when she heard someone honking outside her apartment. She looked out her window and saw Nathan driving a Mercedes-Benz 190 SL. A classic car.
"Are you ready?" Nathan asked.
"Wait, I'm still wearing my PJs—," Mavis said, her eyes widening as she realized what she was wearing. A gorgeous vintage dress and a pretty expensive hat.
"I think you're ready, Darling," Nathan said as he opened the door for her lovely date.
Mavis walked out the door, and Nathan helped her in getting into the car. He kissed her hand and he began to drive. She had no idea who she was with, but her heart tells her that they have met before. In their past lives maybe.
She rolled down the window, removed her hat, and let the cool air blow through her long copper hair. She felt free. Suddenly, she forgot about her worries, relishing every moment as they traveled to a place only the Direwolf Sorcerer knew about.
He cautiously stepped on the brake and got out of the car as it came to a halt to open her door on the other side. She was flummoxed as to why they had stopped on the side of the road above the hill. She can't see out the driver's window since the car is heavily tinted. He extended his hand to help the young lady in getting out of the passenger seat.
They walked hand in hand to the opposite side of the road, and her universe eyes widened in amazement at what she saw: a periwinkle colored beach, just like her favorite hue. Its sands are golden, while the clouds above it dance on its exquisite colors.
They took off their shoes and ran through the shores. They happily dancing and running with the waves while holding hands.
Hey, You Guys!
It's been a while, hope you're doing well. I just got back to my monthly detox with the bebuu and it's a lot of fun! Waiting impatiently again for the next one. Huhu.
Au revoir!

September Dump [KirstenCassandra's Tortuous Life]
Hey fellas! This is a bit late, as it is now October 3rd. Weekends are my lazy days, so I'm not here on those days. When I booted on my computer, I saw @alykavinsky 's article, which reminded me that I had a monthly task to complete in our community. Please be patient with my faulty memory. Hehe. You may visit us here. https://read.cash/c/dump-site-6bd8
Aright! Enough with the hooey and let's begin.
*1. This is gonna be LIT-erary*
My mind is saying yes, but my bookshelf is saying no. Why are there so many books yet so little shelf space? Isn't it frustrating? I sent my other books home to the province so my room doesn't become a library, but now I'm looking for FEW books to stack on my table again. Hahaha!
I also took this photo since it is quite familiar to me. So here is the wolf's vision the first time she saw the stunned koala standing in the shelf's corner. Soooo cute!
*2. Necklace*
I only have one necklace and I'm not used to not wearing something around my neck, so I'm on the lookout for a new one when I came across this All Too Well necklace. Taylor Swift's All Too Well strikes a distinct connection for me because of the red scarf in the room. If you know, you know. Hahaha! So that's what I'm after! I'll buy you soon.
I want to wear his initial
On a chain round my neck, chain round my neck
Not because he owns me
But 'cause he really knows me... ♫ ♪
*3. Happy witch at Greenwich*
*May nanlibre. Whahaha! Thank you very much naman. Hihi.* You're adorable standing there. Served hot and fresh, eh? Hahaha!
4. ***Phở Hòa lunch with the bosses***
***Phở Hòa*** is a Vietnamese restaurant that serves dishes other than **Phở** noodles, such as this one. I ordered glazed chicken because I'm not an adventurous eater. I'm quite picky, and I don't want to waste anything that does not suit to my taste.
They also serve appetizers, however the only ones available are bean sprouts. I'd want to try it, but my sweet boyfriend has stopped me because I'm allergic to beans. That's too bad.
*5. Every food is weaker in front of the chimken*
Chimken supremacy indeed! It's not obvious right? I looooove chimken, and this dish is a sucker punch. I think the flavor of this dish is honey garlic, and the sourly sweet sauce wonderfully complements the taste of the chicken. Happy tummy!
*6. Dissociation Disorder*
Looking at this view made me lost in a daydream. It looks surreal, like an optical illusion. From afar, it appears to be a stack of hollow blocks, but as you go nearer, it turns into graves.
Just a brief story. Hmm. This is a rare-card revelation, I think, because I'm not proud of it.
When I was in fifth grade, my teacher suspected I had ***Dissociation Disorder***. This is when you feel as if you're outside of your body, as if you're a different person, as if you're engrossed in a dream world that appears real but isn't, as if you're hearing unreal voices, or as if you're lost in space. I think I mentioned before that I was literally trapped in a closet when I was a kid which caused trauma in me, and this is one of the side effects I had after I came out of that closet, aside from being claustrophobic.
Yeah. I'm a complicated person, and dep/anx seeps in from time to time as a result of the experiences I've had, which are not simple to grasp. I'm still striving to be a better person, and happily, I have the best support system anyone could ask for.
*7. Another Pewi thing to my collection*
Isn't it cute? Hihi. My Ate Joy's sister gave it to me, and I'm happy. I really appreciate people sending me stuff or photos of my favorite color and saying, "Hey, I saw this and it reminds me of you," like the bebuu usually does when he sees something periwinkle. I feel loved.
***8. Sup cute-tea?***
House Special Gong Cha Milk Winter Melon Tea is my all-time favorite milk tea flavor! But I don't want it with pearls but since the crew forgot and she put too many in my order, I just accept it and pay for it because it is already sealed and will be deducted from her salary if I dont.
I had that after attending my cousin's interment at Angono, Rizal. I took the UV Express back home, but when I arrived at Estancia Mall at Meralco Avenue, the vehicles on that avenue were bumper to bumper for an hour already, so I got off the UV Express and walked to the Estancia Mall to kill some time.
*9. One of the negatives I want*
I attended an important event three weeks ago, and when I woke up the next morning, one of my friends asked whether I had any signs of covid because one of our friends tested positive that morning. In our panic, my housemates and I bought reliable testing kits to use to test ourselves. Thankfully, we all tested negative.
I showed the bebuu my photo of my negative result kit, and he was relieved to tell me that he would not be a dad. Lmao.
Yes, the President of the Philippines issued Executive Order No. 3 authorizing the voluntary use of face masks in open spaces and non-crowded outdoor venues with proper ventilation, but keep in mind that there is still a pandemic in effect, so exercise caution.
*10. Justice the Chubby Cheeks*
Hello, Baby Justice! This adorable tiny human is our friend's son, therefore I'm basically his fairy godmother. Hahaha! I love infant babies, but not when they reach the toddler stage. Lol. I can't remember if I mentioned it before, eff this brain! I love little things such as baby clothing and shoes, tiny houses, miniature things, and a baby's tiny feet, hands, and ears. I can stare at those my whole life! The cutest!
Heyow!
I hope you enjoy looking at some of the photographs in my collection for the past month. And I hope this covers my absence over the previous several days. Haha! This month of October would surely bring some wonderful pictures. Hihi.
I'll see you on the next episode of My Tortuous Life behind the scenes.
Au revoir!
Hotel Blue Moon [RRFB]
They criticize me of being a heartless warrior, greedy, and cold-hearted. I kill anyone who gets in my way. I even killed the most important person in my life, the one I love. I escape the Kingdom as swiftly as I can. I had comrades, but they were slain in the war, and I believe I am solely to blame.
On my way, I ran across an old lady. I assumed she was just a strange woman who opened a bistro in the middle of nowhere. She made me drink a disgusting homemade wine and cursed me, binding me to the Moon tree because of the hundreds, no, thousands of people I killed.
The Moon Tree follows me wherever I go. According to the old lady, the tree seemed to be dead, with its roots firmly planted in the anger and resentment of the past. I can't go on or cross the bridge to the other side till the tree comes to life.
I created a world that suits for me. I built a hotel for the wandering and lost souls. A hotel where the souls of the dead who harbor grudges can rest before crossing the bridge to the afterlife, erasing all their past memories as they walk to the other end.
I've been alive for 1300 years and have met many people who have left me. They didn't intend to, yet their time has ended like a shattered clock, whilst mine, the flow of time between life and death paused for me. That made me realize that life as an immortal isn't really gratifying. That is my curse. I can't feel my heartbeat anymore. It's as though I'm still alive but withering away on the inside, like a wandering soul. Unconscious yet not existing.
The name of the hotel, as well as its structure and interior, vary with time. Everything is keeping pace with the rest of the world. My style, my way of life, and how I dressed improved, but the feelings I buried within stayed. Decaying. Like the old Moon tree in the garden.
The time has come. I'll need to look for a new hotel manager. Maybe you're asking why I need to hire a mortal when all of my employees are dead people. So, I'll need someone to handle the hotel's legal and personal demands, such as paying taxes and getting licenses. Of course, my hotel exists and is registered with the government, but because it is not well-known, it is not visible to the naked eye under certain circumstances, such as during a lunar eclipse.
I did, in fact, find someone. He's my 99th hotel manager, yet he's special among them all. He's a coward. He is terrified of blood, people with gory faces, and especially ghosts, so how can he become the manager of a hotel for the dead? Aside from that, he's gutsy and has the most genuine heart I've ever seen. He is willing to put his life to help others in need. He saved me even though I wasn't worthy of it.
I'd already accepted my fate. But then this new hotel manager did something terrible. He digs in my garden and nurtures the dead Moon tree with fond memories. The tree blooms with green leaves like a springtime. The surroundings are dark and cold, just like my heart, yet the leaves are a vibrant green that only sunshine can give. Maybe he's the sun that beams brilliantly through this trapped door.
That signifies that my curse is soon to be broken. I'm not ready for this, and neither are my employees, who are waiting for their own issues to be resolved before proceeding to the afterlife. If the hotel is gone, we may be compelled to take the bus, or worse, we may lose our sanity and become an evil spirit that harms mortal beings.
I tried to push him away, but he clung to me like a koala. He used to say he'd rather die than be the manager of my hotel, but now he seems to like being here and has made himself at home. My employees have suddenly thought of something. We sent him to Room 13, the most terrifying room in the entire hotel. The spirit of vengeance. If you saw her face, it may devour you and make you insane. But it appears that I'm the one going insane thinking about the hotel manager.
I rushed to room 13, I couldn't afford to lose him. Maybe I'm baffled right now, but I know there's something in him. I have no idea what will happen in the future. I don't care whether that Moon tree blossoms with flowers. I'll just cherish every moment I have with him in this world. Even if just for a little while. Even before the tree's last blossom falls.
Heyaaaa!

Q & A: Royal Titles After the Queen's Death
Aside from guns and magic, I've always been fascinated by queens, kings, princes, and princesses. Not because they live wonderfully, eat whatever they want, they're well-known like instant celebrities, are escorted, have their lives secured, and have all the other privileges that a monarch may have, but because of the etiquette they obey and the tasks they will do.
Maybe you're asking why I'm fascinated about that as a kid, well, in our family, we have our own etiquettes to follow because of traditions like how to sit, how to eat properly, the position of cutlery in the table, even how to laugh and talk, so I'm wondering whether those monarchs are like us also.
***Disclaimer:***
I'm not an expert on the topic; I'm only sharing what I know and what my grandfather has told me in the past.
Without further ado, let's begin.
**Question:**
**Why is Duchess Camilla Shand (later Parker Bowles) of Cornwall referred to as Queen Consort rather than just "Queen" now that Prince Charles of Wales (now King Charles III) has been crowned King?**
First of all, there are four types of Queen, the **Queen Regnant,** the **Queen Consort,** the **Queen Dowager,** and the **Queen Mother.**
The **Queen Regnant** is a female monarch who reigns over a Kingdom and holds the equivalent rank as a King. *Who said a woman couldn't rule, huh? Lol.* The perfect example is the late Queen Elizabeth II, former Queen of the United Kingdom. She holds and wields sovereign authority after King George VI, her father died.
The **Queen Consort** is the wife of the reigning monarch. She is the female equivalent of the monarch title of the king. She has the same rank and status as her husband, but unlike the Queen Regnant, who inherited the throne from her father, she is crowned, yes, and anointed but does not have the same authority to rule as her husband, the King since she joined the royal family through marriage.
When a former Queen Consort's spouse, the reigning King, dies, she is entitled to the title of **Queen Dowager**. Simply reading the words, which means widow, describes it. *Is this mean she has complete authority over the Kingdom now that the King has died? The answer is "No,"* unless they are childless and she and the deceased King are cousins (yes, they may marry a member of their family). Alternatively, if the next in line King or Queen is too young for the throne, she can serve as **Queen Regent** until the next in line monarch is ready.
The last one is the **Queen Mother**. That title is given to the widow of a past monarch who is also the mother of a ruling king or queen. As I mentioned in the story The Tale of the Two Princes : The Wedding, Coronation and the Cursed Prince │ Part 16 (End) King William's mother is known **Queen Mother**, as Queen Amelie is the new Queen Consort (King's wife) of the Kingdom of Alveria. https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/the-tale-of-the-two-princes-the-wedding-coronation-and-the-cursed-prince-part-16-end-91bcc988
Let's get back to the main topic. Because **King Charles III** is the new rightful king and ruler of the United Kingdom, her wife, **Queen Camilla** will be titled Queen Consort to symbolize her full support for her husband. The last Queen Consort was Queen Elizabeth II's mother, who became Queen Mother after her husband, King George VI, died and her daughter ascended to the throne.
Fancy a cuppa?
Is that a little cheerful? Hehe. Just to lighten up on a serious topic. I hope that this article has provided you with some useful information that you were not cognizant of. Again, I'm no expert. I'm just a royal fanatic. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Hihi.
This is only the first part since I'm thinking of writing to answer any more questions about that topic. Anyway, take care you guys! Au revoir.
Trapped in Their Own Maze | Pt. 4: TDSATVW
It's been a week, and **Mavis, the Vampire Witch**, is wondering why the Direwolf Sorcerer hasn't visited her in her dreams. Every night she dreams about his face, only his lovely face. But those dreams ended abruptly, and she felt as if she missed him. That Nathan guy from her dreams.
She decided to skip work that day. She'll go back to the place where it all started. To the abandoned gallery. Something in her seemed to have changed since the day she got there. It's as though the missing piece within her has been found.
Over the decades, it seems that the same scenario has happened over and over in her life. Yes, her profession changes with each decade, but her life events keep repeating themselves. It always boils down to this. Alone. Every now and then, she gets tired of being an immortal. She, too, wishes to experience death. She, too, wishes to see the true ending. Six feet under the ground. She's tired.
She's deficient in vitamin D, which absorbs iron, making her anemic and perhaps leading to heart failure, possibly because she's ceased doing what other vampires do. And it's possible that her sickness is causing her to be emotional and depressed most of the time.
She didn't realize she was standing in front of an abandoned gallery after trekking for hours in the middle of nowhere. She turned the doorknob and pushed it open. She was greeted with paintings strewn throughout the room. It's as though strange people have come in to destroy the place. Her attention was caught to a painting of a frightening maze. The dread it conjures made her shudder just looking at it.
She touches the artwork with her finger, and it feels like liquid with a magnetic pull that drags her within. She found herself in the enchanted rice field, which gives her the impression that she is walking beside golden grass and inhaling in fresh air. This place is familiar to her. She saw this place in a photograph she can't remember where, and she knows what it signifies. A man who wishes to take his own life.
"Show yourself and stop hiding this instant!" Mavis exclaimed.
Suddenly, the entire golden field turned into a gloomy, foggy environment encircled by walls. It's like being in a maze and not knowing where to go. All paths are blocked, yet it feels colder, as if you're inside a fridge. She was ready to go when she felt something in the way of her feet. It's a human body bathed in his own blood. She bends over the body and sees a familiar face for which she had been longing.
"Nathan!!"
She checked his pulse and it was weakening, so she performed CPR, and after he was revived, she treated his wounds, stitched his incisions, disinfected it, and bandaged it. It's a good thing she had her medication kit in her bag.
She took off her jacket and draped it over his body. She lent him her lap as a pillow and stayed with him all night.
**Whoosh!~~**
Mavis' cheek was tickled by the cold air. It's not just cold, it's brutally cold. It's like Jack's feeling when he freezes to death in the ocean after getting Rose safely on top of the door in the Titanic movie. When she opened her eyes, she noticed a light in the corner of the wall, as well as dandelion puffs flying around. Nathan eventually awakens. She helped him in rousing from his laying position, and they followed the light at the corner of the wall. The light floats, as if enticing them to follow it.
She took out her wand. She thought she will never used it again. She give it a wave and cast the incantation *Lumos Maxima* in the air and a bright burst of light appeared. She took his arm in hers and assisted him in walking carefully and slowly. They followed the light and found a way out.
The maze's end is a dandelions-filled garden with bright skies. It's absolutely phenomenal. It's breathtaking. The yellow dandelions cover half of the garden, her happy color, while the other half is as white as feathers.
Dandelions. A representation of love, hope, and happiness. Some believe it also represents a desire to move on from the past and forge fresh beginnings.
Nathan picked a single yellow dandelion flower, carefully held Mavis' chin, and put the flower in her ear.
"Beautiful," he said.
She picked a white dandelion and gave it to him.
"They say that if you close your eyes and make a wish in a dandelion and blow it away, your wish will come true," she explained.
He smiled, closed his eyes, and blew puffs as she asked. Mavis wakes up again in her bed. It seems to be real, yet it is a dream. But, seeing him again made her really happy.
Yellaaa! 💛
Maybe he's already asleep, so instead of overthinking irrelevant things, I wrote something. Hehe. I hope you like this, and thank you for dropping by.
Au revoir!

Fake It Till You Make It │ Part 10: WDIAFFFM?
"Girlfriend? Are you insane?"
"Sshh! Would you mind keeping your voice down? She's just outside the kitchen!" Theo said discreetly.
"Wow? I'm the one who has to be mad at you, not you!" I protested.
"As if you're my type. Look, Reese, I don't want to argue about this. You're my escape plan. I-I'll pay you. I'll do anything, just play along," he replied.
"All right... Just answer me honestly, why are you pretending? Is it because of that Dianne, or are there other reasons?" I asked.
"Why should you care? It's none of your business," he sneered.
"Oh, maybe you're gay." I mocked him.
"What did you just say?"
He stared at me and began to walk close to me, and I began to move backwards to avoid him. I panicked and blinked my eyes several times till he trapped me at the sink's edge.
"W-what are you doing?" I stammered.
"You said I'm gay, right? Let's see if you're exactly right," he said as he moved his face closer to mine.
"Pervert!" I yelled, pushing him away and fleeing the kitchen as fast as I could.
That cretin! Is he attempting to kiss me? Not because he's handsome that I'll agree to kiss him. Whatever. I have to get out of here, even if it takes walking all day through this town-sized compound. I took off my heels and began walking barefoot.
I've been wandering for hours and still can't see the gate. My feet hurt so much that I take a short break on a roadside bench.
"Are you tired yet?" Theo grinned. He's in a golf cart and has pulled out in front of me.
"Just go away and let me out of this hell!" I yelled.
"You really want to know the reason?" he replied. "I have a childhood friend, the love of my life, and I want to see her again but I don't know where to find her, what her name is, or where she lives."
"How does that relate to me?" I asked.
"Hmm, my mom wants me to have a girlfriend because Dianne and I broke up years ago; to stop her from forcing me, I have to have one, and that's you. Until I find my childhood friend." He explained. "Deal?"
"Deal."
**The next day**, I woke up with my head wobbling. It's as though I was so fatigued yesterday that I felt all the pain today. I leaned against my bed's headboard and took my laptop from the bedside table. I turned it on, responded and cleared my emails, and then clicked the writing mode to begin writing an article for my project, when suddenly my phone vibrates.
A new message from ***Theo Muñoz*** appeared:
*Hello, babe. Good morning. Be in my office in one hour. I'll send a car to pick you up. I'll see you later.*
I almost forgot I now had a boyfriend. After calling me "babe," you're acting like my boss? Ugh! I'm puzzled. Well. We're just faking it to begin with.
"Mom! I'm going. Byeee!"
"Reese, pumpkin! Your breakfast..." Mom said.
"Later. I'm late, mom. Love you!"
"Love you, honey! Take care."
I took the car that Theo had sent in, and the driver drove me to his office. The driver opened the door for me and handed me a paper bag.
"What exactly is this?" I asked.
"Master wants you to wear this before seeing him upstairs, and he's strict about it," the driver said.
I opened the paper bag and examined the clothes he had gotten for me. It contains an A-line black Chanel little skirt, a blouse buttoned cropped top, high heels, and a small purse that can only fit a phone and a wallet. I guess I have no choice but to wear this.
"You're late again again, Ms. Chan," Theo stated as I walked into his office.
"You're too demanding. I would have arrived sooner if you hadn't ordered me to change clothes."
"Will I buy you new outfits if you're dressed appropriately?" He mocked me. "Anyway, I bought the entire store for you so I wouldn't have to buy you dresses every day."
My lips parted as I saw different kinds of clothes hanging in rolling clothing racks. Those dresses come in a variety of lengths and colors, with short and long sleeves as well as sleeveless versions. Blouses, cropped tops, skirts, and trousers are all available. And there are make-ups too.
I'm astounded that I didn't notice him saying anything.
"Are you paying attention?"
"Uhm, pardon me?"
"Now I'll reiterate what I said, haaay. Listen, I don't wanna repeat this again. You'll follow me wherever I go so you can observe and write important things for your article," he remarked. "I'm heading to the mansion for a family meeting, and you're coming with me. Let's go."
**In the mansion.**
"Good morning everyone." Theo greeted everyone as he walked through the great hall of the mansion.
In the centre of the hall, there is a long table with several chairs, all but two of which are occupied. He drew the chair for me, and we sat in it.
"Oh, the famous bastard has arrived," said a young man across me.
"Brandon, you don't have to say something obvious," said the woman next to Brandon. I believe it's his mother.
"Really, Petunia? You disrespect my son in front of me?" Tita Peachy butted in.
"You mean, adopted son?" Petunia laughed.
"Stop this nonsense, all of you! That isn't why I summoned you here!" The man seated in the principal seat exclaimed.
My heart is beating so fast. I'm not supposed to be here hearing such things. It's a family matter in which I am not involved. I'm about to excuse myself when Theo grabs my hand under the table and begs me to stay. His other hand was clenching his fist, maybe to contain his rage. These cannot be used in my article.
Heyaaa! 💛
I suppose a 5-minute article will suffice for my four-day break. Lol. I've been sidetracked by an event in the past few days, but I'm back to my writing now. I'm hoping to finish this series this month. Hihi. Isn't it scorching out this afternoon? Ugh.
Au revoir!

Girlfriend? │ Part 9: WDIAFFFM?
"Your house... I-It's a—" I murmured, parting my lips.
"Castle. Yeah, that's what they say," Theo said, smiling.
The driver got out of the car and opened the door for his master. I also got out of the car and followed Theo. He led the way to the kitchen of the mansion. His house is so big that you'll get lost if you're not familiar with the castle's layout, which is typical of medieval castles. But, its design is modern and minimalist.
The kitchen is very spacious, with different areas such as a baking area, food preparation area, cooking area, cleaning and wash area, and a serving area, identical to a gourmet restaurant.
"We don't want to waste time here, so take out your pen and start your interview," Theo stated.
"Ugh! An arrogant jerk," I murmured.
"What did you just say?"
"Oh, I said, let's get started," I sarcastically grinned. "When did you decide to become a chef, and what fascinates you?" I asked.
I sat on the bar-style table in the prep area, watching him mince the ingredients for the dish he was about to make while taking notes for the interview.
"Hmm. That's a tough one for the first question. When I was a kid, I always wanted to cook because it made my mom happy, and she also said I have amazing taste buds. I just taste the dish and I know precisely what ingredients it contains," he replied.
He tossed the wok and the huge fire appears in it.
"W-What was that? Your dish is burning! Should I get the fire extinguisher?!" I panicked.
"Hahaha! You're funny. It's normal. It happens when the water on the ingredients causes fine oil droplets that mix with the oxygen in the air coming into touch with the flames below the wok as the food is tossed. It helps to give a dish a smokey flavour," he explained. "Open your mouth".
He put a spoonful of stir-fried garlic shrimp in my mouth. I chewed it carefully and it's fantastic. It's just shrimp with garlic, but it's incredible. The flame indeed gave the food a smokey flavor, as if it had been roasted.
"Well, well, if it isn't Chef Theo?" A blonde woman with a dazzling aura entered the kitchen.
"Mom! You didn't tell me you already arrived from your trip to Paris," Theo exclaimed, kissing his mother on the cheek.
"I bumped into Dianne in Paris, and she's still single; maybe you two might..."
"Stop it, Mom. Can't you see I'm with my girlfriend here?" Theo replied, staring at me as if he was asking me to agree with him.
"Girlfriend. Oh, is she? I didn't realize you had one. What's your name, hija?" the woman asked.
"A-Uhm... My name is Reese, a-and I'm delighted to meet you, Ma'am."
"Ma'am? Just call me Tita Peachy."
Heyaaaa! 💛
Oh, our NBSB protagonist has a boyfriend already. I'm curious where all of this faking will go. Hihi. Have a great TGIF, you guys!
Au revoir.

Legimency | Pt. 3: TDSATVW
**Mavis, the Vampire Witch**, jolted awake in her bed, as if she had fallen from space. It seems real. She just happened to run into a handsome stranger in King's Cross Station. She remembers his face vividly. Even though it's her first time seeing his lovely face, she feels as if she's known him for a long time.
She got up in her bed, finding herself alone in her room. It's just a dream. She approached the window and noticed someone outside the house. It's a man. She can't see it clearly without her glasses, so she puts them on and notices no one outside the house. He has gone.
"Maybe I'm still dreaming." She said to herself.
She left her room and prepared for work. She's trying to live normally as a *muggle—non-magic folk*, away from the complicated world of drinking blood and waving wands, after her parents were killed in the war between them and the dark lord. She entered Hogwarts at the age of 12, graduated at the age of 19, and was now 126 years old, living alone in her small city apartment.
Her dad is a vampire, her mom is a witch, but she was "raised" by her evil muggle aunt, who died 50 years ago. Being an immortal is really hard. She witnessed how the world changed with each decade, and the most painful thing for her was attending the funerals of her mortal friends. https://noise.cash/post/lk407g0j
Every 30 years, she casts the spell ***Obliviate***—a charm that could be used to erase specific memories from a person's mind—and studied and worked in different professions such as doctor, detective, lawyer, educator, police officer, soldier, artist, chef, architect, pilot, programmer, singer, and so on, which led to her current career as a writer.
"Mavis, I really need that manuscript today; I apologize for hurrying you, but the publisher asked it," her co-writer explained.
"It's OK, it's almost done; I'll submit it later for this to evaluate," Mavis said.
Being a writer is a challenging work. Trying to come up with a story that sounded unique. You have a spectacular idea in mind but it's hard to convey in words. It's also tricky to get out of bed when you're struggling with writer's block or procrastination.
"Abi, I already emailed the file to your email; may I go home? I'm not feeling good right now," Mavis asked to her co-writer.
"Yeah, sure. Rest well when you got home,"
Her head is spinning. Maybe because of the hypnic jolt she felt when she woke up. She packed her things, placed them in her bag, and left their office building. It's a lovely day, then suddenly dark clouds appear and heavy rain pours. She opened her umbrella and walked home in the rain when a Knight bus from the wizarding world stopped in front of me.
"Darling, get in!" said a familiar man, lending his hand to help her in.
He's the man she met the other day at King's Cross station. She took the man's hand in hers and entered the bus. It has beds and a second floor with a chandelier.
"Take her away, Ern!" screamed the driver.
"Yeah, take it away, Ernie! Fasten your seatbelts, clench your buttocks! It's going be a bumpy ride!" yelled the shrunken head, in his Jamaican accent.
When the driver stepped on the gas, the Vampire witch lost her balance and nearly fell, but Nathan, the Dire wolf sorcerer caught her. He saw her beautiful brown eyes again, her soulmate's brown eyes. There is silence between them, yet their hearts beat louder and louder.
"We're here! The Slug club party. Next stop, Leaky Cauldron," the driver said.
Because of the quick pace of the Knight Bus, they were at their destination in five minutes. When she gazed out the window, she saw a lovely and brilliant castle. She was even more confused as to how she had entered the castle wearing only a hooded jacket, trousers, and sneakers, as if she were a damsel in distress.
"Do you trust me, mi lady?" He asked.
She gave her hand to the young man and when they got off the Knight Bus, something magical happened and transformed her clothes and replaced them with a glamorous gown that she couldn't fathom myself wearing. When they entered the castle, everyone seemed to be staring at them in awe. She had no idea that the man she's with is that well-known.
"W-Where are we, Sir...?" I wondered.
"We're here at Professor Slughorn's party because you're one of his favorite students in your batch, as am I, and he wants us to be here. He's fond of students like ours, you know that. And don't call me Sir since it makes me look old." He explained. "Nathan, just Nathan, and you are...?"
"Mavis. My name is Mavis," She smiled.
*Georgia, wrap me up in all your-*
*I want you in my arms...* ♩♫♬
"Would you like to dance?" Nathan asked.
Mavis nodded, and they danced as if no one else was there. They are happily waltzing and chatting about life and teas when the tower clock strikes 12:00 midnight and there is a loud chime all over the town.
"Till our next adventure, Princess." Nathan smiled sweetly.
Everything vanished, and Mavis woke up from her dream. She turned off her alarm clock and got ready for work. She smiled when she noticed a pair of glass shoes on the table.
Nathan smiled as he opened his eyes in the abandoned gallery. He was remembering every moment he had with the Vampire witch. He used the ***Legimency spell***, which allows him to enter another person's mind and dream.
"So you've mastered the art of *Legimency* while also mastering the art of stalking," the old lady smirked.
"Stop, Easton. I just felt like I needed to be with her; I've been missing her since the day I imprinted her," Nathan sighed.
"You're in love, my prince." Easton, the old lady said.
"Maybe." he answered.
Heyyaaaa!
This is somewhat lengthy, but I hope you enjoy it. Have a wonderful day.
Au revoir!

Imprinter and Imprintee | Pt. 2: TDSATVW
**7 years later**...
**Nathan, the Dire Wolf Sorcerer**, has already graduated to the degree of studying Wizardry and training to be a shape shifting wolf. He had a great time learning and breaking some rules. He had also met other girls who became his girlfriends, but none of them worked out.
He walked off the train, unsure of what he would do after Hogwarts. Every year, he sees himself walking through each platform of King's Cross Station, pushing the trolley past the wall leads to a different world that a muggle would not notice. He now has everything he wants. Good looks, fame and wealth, yet something is missing in his heart.
"Oops! I'm sorry," a maiden he bumped into said.
Something magical happened as they stared in each other's eyes. Something suddenly flashed into their minds. It's some type of sorcery. The train station had turned into an abandoned gallery, with cigarette butts strewn around. They touched each other's palms, and the abandoned gallery changed into a strawberry field. https://noise.cash/post/l4x7kq9q
They didn't know each other, but they clasped their hands and ran as if they were trying to reach the end of the world, but the earth collapsed and they fell into the abyss while still locking their eyes. When Nathan blinked, he found himself outside a house, where he saw someone waving through the window. He blinked again, and he's at an abandoned gallery where he used to live.
"What happened?" Nathan wondered as he noticed the old lady standing in front of him.
"You imprinted someone, my prince," replied the old lady.
"Imprinted?" He's even more puzzled.
"It's a wolf thing. You cannot force it on anyone. When you imprint on someone, you become unconditionally bonded to her for the rest of your life. She's your soulmate, your twin flame. Everything else is secondary; your imprintee will be your top priority."
"When you're angry and your imprintee is nearby, you should be cautious. You may scar her, harm her, or even kill her. You should spend as much time as possible with your imprintee."
"If she is in pain, you will feel it as well. If the imprintee is too young for you, you must wait for her since you will not be able to see any other woman until the day you die. If your soulmate is killed, you will never forgive or forget whoever killed her," the old lady explained.
"But I didn't even know her; where she is; or even her name." he said.
"Someday, you will. Fate will lead you two together," the old lady said with a smile.
"I'll find her even if all I know is her face and her beautiful brown eyes," Nathan vowed.
Heyyaaaa!
It made me smile to write this metaphorical piece when Strawberries and Cigarettes was playing in the background. But it feels like it happened in real life tho. Wink!
Hope you also had fun reading this. Have a great day, you! Au revoir.

New Boss │ Part 8: WDIAFFFM?
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, FENREESE?!?" yelled the Editor-in-Chief as soon as I answered the phone. "It's been a week, and there hasn't been a single output regarding the task I assigned you; instead, you've been writing your fictions, and you've even started another series to knock your skull!"
"I'm sorry, Sir, but please consider what I'm trying to say. I can't do this; I can't even write a single phrase of that article."
"I thought we had talked about this? Chef Theo is a major project. It can be advantageous for you as well. You can be famous. You can be the talk of the town for associating with Chef Theo," Mr. Wintour stated.
"Sir, I want to be well-known in my own way, not as a parasite draining other people's blood to get what I want."
"Reese, I beg you. This isn't just for you. It's for our company. I'll give you everything you want. Promotion? Bonus? Name it. Just take this project seriously." Mr. Wintour pleaded.
"Fine. I'll try to start doing it tomorrow." I responded.
I guess this is my new status quo. I picked up my phone and immediately texted Nina. I need to have a drink, and I need to enjoy every second of my life before drowning in hell with that chef.
After picking me up at the office, Nina drove me to the nearest downtown pub. We reserved the couch and sat there talking while sipping cocktails and hard drinks. I'm not sure how it ended because we walked out of the pub legless and wasted.
The next morning, I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing.
"Hmmm, turn off that effing phone! Ahhh," Nina muttered sleepily.
"Hhh... Hello?" I said, my voice raspy.
"Oh, you just woke up. Very unprofessional. 15 minutes left and you're late for our meeting," an arrogant man on the other side of the call says.
I sprang awake to find myself inside Nina's car, laying in the reclined seat, wasted like a drunkard. I woke Nina, who was still asleep in the drivers seat, and asked her to take me to the chef's restaurant. She drove as fast as she can and we arrived there 5 minutes before the scheduled meeting.
"Good morning..." I murmured as I tried to fix my typhoon-ravaged hair.
"Hi, you're not late but..."
"I'm sorry, something happened last night and..." I tried to make excuses.
"I know. You're intoxicated. You didn't even shower. I'll let this slide. Come with me and don't ask," he said authoritatively.
He dialed a number, and we walked out the door and straight to his car. His driver is waiting outside the car, and when he sees us, he opens the door for his master, and the chef let me in first, and after he gets in, the driver steps on the gas and drives away from the restaurant.
I'm confused as to why we've come to a halt in front of a hotel lobby. He widened his eyes and gestured for me to step out of the car. We walked in the hotel and took the elevator. He pushed the number 8 button, which takes us to the 8th floor. When we got there, he went right to door number 808, tapped the card to the sensor, and it quickly opened.
"Get in," he ordered.
"Hey, you pervert, what do you think of me? A bish? I'm not going in that room alone with you!" I yelled.
"You wish! You're not even my type. I brought you here so you could fix yourself." Someone arrived with paper bags and handed them to the evil chef. "Here, put this on. I don't want to meet with someone who smells like... Whatever. Just take a bath. Go!"
I rolled my eyes, grabbed the paper bags, and headed directly to the bathroom to calm myself. *How could I be so stupid! Ugh! Reese, you're embarrassing! I have no choice except to embrace my embarrassment. Just remain calm, okay. As though nothing had happened.*
After taking a shower and doing makeup, I opened the paper bags and noticed a puff sleeve black midi dress and stiletto heels closed shoes, which I put on and I must say, I look good. I went out of the bathroom and saw him sitting on the bed.
"You're done? Let's go. We're late." He said coldly and walked out of the room.
What?? He didn't even complement my appearance? Ugh. What a squandering of time. Never mind. Besides, I must thank him for doing this to me. Even though these are basic things for wealthy people like him. They may get what they want in the blink of an eye.
We proceeded down to the hotel lobby, where one of his assistants left and approached the hotel's receptionist, maybe to check out. I just followed the evil chef to his car, got in, and the driver drove away. We came to a halt in front of a gigantic gate with a vast courtyard. The gate opened on its own and shut after the car we were in had passed. The courtyard is incredibly large, as if it were a little town full with trees and a calm ambiance. A mansion like a castle stands at the end of the road.
"This is where I live." Chef Theo said.
Heyaaa! 💛
It's been about a week since my last update. Procrastination and writer's block are rearing their ugly heads once more. Hehe. I'm hoping for a productive week this week.
I hope you enjoy this part of my series. Please leave a comment below so that we can catch up. Au revoir!

August Dump [KirstenCassandra's Tortuous Life]
It's already September 5th, and I'm a little late with this monthly photo dump. Well, better late than never, right? Let's get started right away!
1. Very Stereotyping
They say that if you wear glasses and have poor eyesight, you're boring, nerdy, studious, only think about books, nice, quiet, often introverted, and don't know how to have fun. Some people are like that, but not all. I've been wearing glasses since second grade. If you know, you know. Lol. *Smirk*
2. Sorry Not Sorry for Being Sensitive
Most of my loved ones are aware that I am an overly sensitive person. Sometimes I apologize for it, but I realized that I don't have to because it's my feelings. I shouldn't have to dismiss my own emotions merely to appease someone.
Despite the fact that my dad serves in the military, my parents reared me in a very tranquil manner. They believe that you do not need to yell to get your point across to your kid. But they also warned me that other people aren't like them, that they shout and become enraged over little mistakes or to emphasize their point. So, as I grew older, I tried everything I could to keep it from happening, but there were a few instances.
I remember that during my first few months of dating with the bebuu, he instinctively raised his voice at me. He's not mad, and I'm sure he didn't mean it. He's carrying a lot of things from the convenience shop with one arm while holding my hand in the other. I tried to help him so that he did not drop whatever he was carrying. He said it was fine and that he could manage, but I'm persisting and trying to get some of it. I was frightened when he raised his voice to halt me. That time, I looked like that teary-eyed Pikachu and almost bawled my eyes out in public. He has apologized to me several times and panicked for what he has done. In the end, he let me carry the tiny bag of ice. Hehe.
3. Estetic Forda First Day ang Ferson
I just remember Bub's niece talking about "aesthetic," as if she's interested in how something appears, so I sent it to Bub to ask his niece if she wants those, and if she does, I'll get them for her, and she burst out laughing. Lmao. What a cutie she is.
4. Trapped for Real
If you're wondering what it is, it's a sketch of my scenario in the elevator when a powerful earthquake happened that month. I was taking the elevator to our radio room on the roof of our four-story building at the time when it abruptly stopped.
I began to panic since I am claustrophobic. I've been there for 45 minutes. Because facility maintenance is not there, the guards are trying to open it with a crowbar. The elevator is stuck in the middle of the floor, therefore the "x" sign below indicates where I am. They pulled me up higher, and abruptly the elevator began to move down to the basement. I'm terrified to death.
My body would have split in half if they hadn't grabbed me straight away. I've been in shock for an hour and I can't stop crying. I thought I was going to die, that the bebuu would become a widower in an instant. But hey, the villain is still alive, mfs.
5. A Crisp Cut for Fall
Someone got a new hairstyle. Hehe. Bub sent this Tiktok link to me. I've been looking for a pretty haircut for quite some time now since I've been so stressed recently that I'm in desperate need of a change! I'm hoping it turned out well and that the bebuu liked it. Hihi.
6. In either case, flip pancakes.
So, my boss here surprisingly bought a new ceramic pan for our induction cooker and asked me to make some pancakes. I grant his wish since I don't have a heavy workload that day. Thankfully, we have pancake mix on hand these days. We don't have to weigh sugar, flour, and other ingredients. Just pour in the pancake mix, followed by an egg and evaporated milk. Mix it in, cook it on medium low heat, and voilà! You already have pancakes.
7. Wandering where the signal is weak
One of my fondest moments from August. I traveled to a place where everything is simple. I don't have to think about my virtual world since the signal is so bad there. I didn't even bother using my phone all the time. I'm able to relax my mind and forget about my worries for a while. Being with the sorcerer, riding his broom, listening to showers fall on the roof, and being surprised by a hundred chickens in the backyard feels like a dream. If at all possible, I would like not to come home.
Heyoow! 💛
How are you guys doing? I had a fantastic August, but I forgot to snap photos of my vacation. Maybe they're right. Wonderful memories are often uncaptured by the camera, but they will be etched in my memory till the day I die.
Au revoir!
Itinatangi Kita, Alonzo [1887]
***Mahal kong Alonzo,***
Tanging uuwian at babalikan mo, gaano man kalayo ang iyong marating.
Isa kang sundalo. Isang batang heneral. Makisig, guwapo, mabikas at matipuno. Mabait at maginoo.

The Hubby is Injured! [RRFB]
I woke up with an odd feeling. Something doesn't seem right. My heart is racing. When I turned to my side, I noticed that my husband was not there. Maybe he's making our breakfast. But why is everything so quiet? I can't even hear the tiniest clinking of silverware. I stood up and cautiously opened the bedroom door. There is no one at home, yet someone knocked on the door.
I grabbed the baseball bat from our room and looked through the peephole on our front door. It's my husband, and he's bloody as hell! I quickly opened the door and helped him to sit in the couch.
I rushed to the kitchen, grabbed a basin, filled it with warm water, then took a clean towel and our first aid kit. I sat in front of him, took off his clothes, and wiped every drop of blood from his body. I knew he was a mafia boss before we met, but he got rid of it when we married, so I'm wondering what happened.
"What happened?? Tell me," I exclaimed.
"I ran into some old colleagues when I went to the store to get some eggs since we were out, but everything is good now. They just can't accept that I have already left the organization," he responded.
"Should we call the cops or something??"
"No, you don't have to... Just stay here with me. I need a lot of love," he says. What a clingy jerk.
Once I had bandaged his wounds, I took my phone from our bedroom and phoned my boss's number. I told him I wouldn't be able to go to work today, and he gladly approved my leave of absence.
When I came back to the couch where he was lying, I noticed he had passed out. I walked close to him and kissed him on the cheek before heading to the kitchen to continue cooking breakfast. The steamed rice is cooked. I took the ground pork from the freezer and cooked crispy meatballs, and I made our favorite corn soup since the hubby is not feeling well.
I cleaned our adorable small abode and fed and pet our furbabies while the soup was simmering. I also washed and spun our clothes in the washing machine. When I finished, I woke my husband with the kisses attack, but it's delicate for now because he's injured. *Sigh* My poor husband.
I helped him in standing from the couch since he want to eat at the dining table. He's still masking his vulnerability under his tattoos. That's one of the qualities I admire about him. He knows how to stand up for himself and his family, even when he's hurt, and he does his best to carry out his duty as the man of the house. I love this person so much!
After we finished eating, I took the plates and silverware to the sink and washed them. My hubby insisted on doing the dishes, but I told him not to move so that his wounds would heal quickly, so he just smiled as he watched me do the dishes. I'm not sure if he's smiling because my tiny hands are too small for the plates, or if he's gazing somewhere that urges him to sip some coffee. *Don't smirk, you jerk. haha!*
So, after cleaning everything in the kitchen, I brewed an espresso and made some iced coffee because he looked at me as if he wanted it. Hmm. And I grabbed some chips and cookies from the cupboard before turning on the TV for our *"Netflix and Chill"* time.
A day well spent. I'll be your nurse for today. Hihi.

How are things going? As for me, I'm exhausted. I began working at 5:00 p.m. till 3:00 a.m., and my motion sickness was killing me since we were going on a long and bumpy road, but that won't stop me from writing this for the bebuu to make him smile and ease his stress, even just for a little while.
Take care you guys! Au revoir.

The Prophecy | Pt. 1: TDSATVW
**"You found me..."** echoed within the dilapidated building.
The vampire witch looked around, but all she saw was frigid air brushing over her face. The loud bang of the heavy front door startled her, and the leaves began to blow in a circular motion.
"I don't think I'm supposed to be here. Maybe I should go," the vampire witch thought to herself and swiftly leave the abandoned gallery.
A black smoke appeared from the elm tree and went inside the abandoned gallery, in front of the painting of a periwinkle-colored castle stained with blood. Suddenly, the black smoke turned into an old lady.
"The time has come, my prince," the old lady said, as the painting transformed into a man in tatters.
"What happened to me? Where am I?" the man said, confused.
"Nathan, the prophecy is being fulfilled. As my crystal foretold 125 years ago, a hybrid of a vampire and a witch freed you in that painting, making you the sorcerer and protector of the underworld in lieu of me." the old lady explained. "I'm too old to protect this place from the dark lord, which is why I picked you as my replacement, but first—"
As the moonlight shined in through the building's window, the old lady morphed into a werewolf. She crept closer, trapped Nathan, clawed him with her paw, and licked the blood oozing from the young man's forehead. Nathan sank to his knees, groaning in pain and bathing in his own blood.
"I'm sorry, Nathan, but this is inevitable."
Nathan's body incrementally got coated in fur, his hands morphed into paws and claws, and his entire figure transformed into a dire wolf except his eyes. His mentality seems to be affected by his metamorphosis as well. He can't control himself, yet he's aware of what's going on.
He attempted to attack the old lady, but she was too powerful for him, and she fought back, tossing Nathan against the wall and knocking him unconscious.
"Hmm, I guess I'll have to train him. But for now, he must rest. This is the beginning of his new journey. I'm wondering what will happen between the protector of the underworld and the future queen of the vampires. Will they be rivals or friends? My crystal has yet to reveal anything." the old lady muttered to herself.
**The next day,** Nathan woke up clutching his head due to the force of his impact with the wall. He noticed a wand in his right hand. It was made of cypress, 10¼" long and contained a unicorn hair core.
"Good day, my prince. How are your sweet dreams going?" The old lady smirked.
"You—what did you do to me? You made me a monster!!" Nathan exclaimed.
"Hey, that's your curse for asking a favor from me to get you and your traitor princess out of the forest. You should be grateful that I did not take your life as payment," the old lady mocked him. "Instead, I gave you a new lease on life. You have complete freedom. You hold that power. You can defend yourself with your claws. A century has passed, and your family is almost certainly all dead due to their ages. Unlike you, you're now an immortal."
Nathan looked down at his wand. The old lady is right; he has no choice but to face what lies in front of him.
"So, what are my responsibilities? What am I supposed to do?" Nathan inquired.
"Take it easy, my prince. You must first learn how to use the wand. You must attend a wizarding school for seven years. So you'll be 132 years old by then, right?"
He parted his lips in awe. He's a century and twenty-five years old, but he still looks like he's in his twenties.
"I suppose this is one of the amazing things about magic," he uttered.

How are you people? I've been thinking a lot about Bebuu's situation lately, which is why I'm gone. I don't know how I can help him, so I guess being virtually with him is the least I can do.

Schtum, The Secrets' Gate Keeper [RRFB]
***"Schtum"*** means silent. That's my name. I'm not allowed to make any sound, and I'm unable to do so. I'm cursed. I'm mute, yet I can hear everything, write it down in my books and kept all the secrets in the world.
I don't know why I ended up here. Trapped in this abyss of truth and lies, treachery, deception, and concoction. I was raised to be this secretive because I am the heir to the role of gatekeeper.
I have a huge library with a countless of aisles of those. There are books of white lies, illegal doings, stealing, self-harm, traumas, romantic desire, mental struggles, plans and even surprises. I kept it all to myself and didn't realize I was the one suffering from all of them.
Will they still be together if I tell the old lady that her husband is breaching fidelity? I suppose not. Here I am, raising a toast to them, commemorating each anniversary and smiling as if their home is picture-perfect.
Will he still be in his place if I told everyone what he did? How he assaulted someone to satiate his hunger. I suppose not. That's why I'm just clapping my hands while he stand in front of the people like he's the most respected person on earth.
Will he be able to rest in peace without a stain in his shirt if I tell everyone who knows him that he's not as good as they think he is? That he's a poison? That he ditched his girl for another? No, I don't think so. Here I am, with his friends and family, in front of his grave. Crying as though his hands were clean.
What if I tell her enemies about her plans? Do you think they'll work? Obviously not. Her enemies will go to any length to bring her down. Instead of revealing it, what will I do? Act as if I can't see anything and instead help her and praise her on taking sole credit.
Will she still be everyone's favorite if I expose how she exploited others in order to gain their trust? How can she hug everyone sweetly and then stab them in the back? No, I don't believe so. What exactly am I doing as a gatekeeper? I smiled at her as if I didn't know anything to protect her reputation.
It is my responsibility as the gatekeeper to keep trespassers out of the gate of secrets, but my biatch friend, KARMA, is an exception to the rule. She can enter without being questioned. She comes by when my library is overflowing with rubbish that she needs to dispose of.
She has her own way of doing things. She may either expose you or charge you in a different way. Well, you don't have to be afraid. Just remember, you will receive what you actually deserve. I have no right to reveal those people above, but Karma has.

Another **Thursday Blues** article. I Just missed writing metaphorically. Hehe.
I've recently been saddened because of my deleted articles. Yeah, just blame my stupidity. I'm currently working on creating new pieces to replace the deleted articles, which is why I'm not as active on this site. I'm still trying. *Crying in vain*
Anyway, keep safe always, you guys. Au revoir!

Fortunately, I was able to retrieve it thanks to @Usagi for helping me out, but I don't know how to make it appear in my read.cash account again. Is there any way? I don't think I can re-upload it due to the copyright policy.
Can someone help me?

The Michelin Starred Client │ Part 7: WDIAFFFM?
"On behalf of ***Swift Publishing Group, Inc.***, Let me raise a toast to ***Ms. Fenreese Gale Chan***, the top three best-selling author, for publishing two fictional books this month—***The Tale of the Two Princes*** and the ***Earth After Dark Prompt Entry***. Congratulations for a job well done." Mr. J. Wintour, the Editor in Chief stated. "To F.G. Chan!" https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/the-tale-of-the-two-princes-vying-for-the-throne-part-1-eb1695cc https://read.cash/@KirstenCassandra/earth-after-dark-mutterseelenallein-part-1-5af9968a
"To F.G. Chan!" stated the crowd as they raised their glasses and sipped champagne.
I returned to my table to get my planner and pewi pen after the small victory party and pigging out in the office. Now that the books I'm working on have been published, I need to come up with another story to write.
"Hey. Hey. I can vibe some positive energy here, something like... What did I call it? PROMOTION," Nina quipped.
"Stop, you silly," I sneered, smirking.
"Hey! You owe me a *tea*!" Nina exclaimed. "And what's the deal with you and that cute guy Theo? You hung up on me the other day, witch!"
"Sshhh! Okay, listen. I don't want to repeat this story, so give your full attention to me, understand? And keep your voice down, idiotta!" I said quietly.
"OK, I'm all ears. Fire away."
I told Nina everything, from the day I met him at the coffee shop to meeting him in our house because he's my dad's boss, to the *plotted* amusement park date, why I got hospitalized, my strange dreams and how he took care of me until I got well.
"Gosh! He didn't! I envy you, girl!" Nina can't believe it.
"Yeah, but it's been a week since I've been feeling better, and I can't feel his presence around; maybe he's just guilty because he thinks he's to blame for why I was hospitalized, so he took care of me."
"Excuse me, Ms. F.G. Chan; editor-in-chief wants to see you in his office in 5 minutes," said Yuri, the junior copywriter.
I nodded, tapped Nina on the shoulder, and made my way to the editor-in-chief's office. I'm not sure what's up with the sudden summon, but my heart is racing. I twisted the doorknob and pushed it open, and there he was. Theo.
"Speaking of the vampire, there she is. Chef Theo Muñoz, I'd like you to meet Ms. Fenreese Gale Chan a.k.a. F.G. Chan." Mr. Wintour said. "He said he's a fan of your books."
"I'm pleased to meet you," Theo smiled as if he never met me in his whole life.
"Now. Enough with the introductions; let us get to business. Chef Theo here agreed to an interview with us, and only us, and allowed us to write an article about him." Mr. Wintour explained. "To make things clear, he was the country's youngest restaurant owner with not one, but three **Michelin stars** in the country. He's here now for contract signing with one condition: he wants you to be the project's lead writer." https://www.escoffier.edu/blog/world-food-drink/a-brief-history-of-the-michelin-guide/#:~:text=1%20Star%3A%20A%20very%20good,cuisine%2C%20worth%20a%20special%20journey.
"Wait. What? Me? You know, Mr. Wintour, that's not what I'm good at; I'm a fictionist, not an article writer," I protested.
"Don't you think, Reese? This project will help you advance in your career. We'll never know if this company will see you for more than just writing fiction,"
For a brief moment, I remained silent. Mr. Wintour is completely right, but I lack the confidence to try something new on myself, and I'm not comfortable working with Theo all day. It's like being burned alive like a vampire captured by townspeople.
"So, I guess it's all set. From now on, Reese, you don't have to come here in the office every day; you can stay with Chef Theo's Restaurant; he said he'd lend you his vacant room at their back office," Mr. Wintour declared without my consent.
There's no turning back now, I suppose.
Yellow! 💛
To be honest, I'm curious too, to see what happens next. Hehe. Possibly Reese is upset today because she is missing someone, and when they see each other, that person acts as if he doesn't miss her. Lol.

The Househusband's Day Off [RRFB]
****Stretch* *Yawn****
Good morning, fersons! In our home, Saturday is Husband's Day, so he can do whatever he wants, and I'll just say ***"YES"*** to everything he says—don't believe this, this is just a hoax. Today is his holiday/day off for getting up early and preparing everything for me from Monday to Friday. Because I don't have work today, I'll be the one to pamper and look after him.
Being in a relationship requires both giving and taking. It is not possible to carry everything on one's own shoulder; everything must be worked out collaboratively.
I get out of bed, put on my fluffy periwinkle-colored koala slippers, and go straight to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth after gently kissing him on the lips and forehead to avoid waking him up because it's still early.
While combing my short hair in the mirror, I noticed that I was wearing my husband's white long sleeves and a boyleg underneath. I look like a cross between a sexy model and a comfy homeless lady, but I leave it that way. Lol.
Our bedroom is just a few steps away from our tiny but versatile, neat, and stylish kitchen. The color scheme was all white and wood. I used the ceramic white pan to make his favorite breakfast of pancakes, tocino, and hotdogs. In addition to the leftover rice from yesterday, I added some garlic to the pan. And for our beverage, I'll make a latte and a coffee art with whole milk. Voilà! Scrumptious breakfast with an aesthetic value.
I feed our furbabies, vacuumed the floor, carpets, and dust off the shelves while brewing the espresso from 195 °F to 205 °F. When I'm finished cleaning, the espresso is also finished brewing. That is the best part of living in a tiny house. Everything can be cleaned in just 7 minutes.
When I'm finished with everything, I wake up my loving husband with hugs and kisses all over his face. He finally got up after so much convincing and negotiating. I was fluffing the pillows and making our bed while he went to the bathroom to do his business. I picked up our laundry basket and gathered all of the clothes from the floor as if something big had happened the night before.
He's done. We walked into the kitchen, and he pulled out a chair for me to sit in, as he always does; it's his thing, and you can't take it away from him. He sat and lifted the cover of the dishes I had prepared, and his face lit up like a child unwrapping a birthday present, that made me the happiest. And we ate it right away before it went cold.
"Now, what are we going to do next, hun?" he queried as he sipped his aesthetically pleasing swan-designed coffee.
"Hmm, I think we're going somewhere expensive," I winked.
We washed the dishes, showered, and got the keys so I could drive, which he kindly allowed. I stopped at a gas station to fuel up our baby Spresso, and then we went to one of our favorite bonding spots and "battlefields" or "courthouse" the grocery store, because we were constantly debating whether or not the item we were about to purchase was necessary.
I have to justify each item I'm about to put in the cart to my husband in order for it to arrive safely at the payment counter. That's a bit easier because I have a plethora of mostly effective tactics at my fingertips. The puppy look is always the winning card. He can't resist it. Hihi.
"Not the soda, it's not good for you," he says as he pushes the cart away from the cold beverages section.
"Dada, pwease. Just one two-liter bottle. It'll last a week, I promise," I begged, my puppy eyes shining.
"Nah-uh." he sneered. "You can't fool me, lady."
"Hmm, on second thought, let's not buy this one. Maybe you're willing to spend more money for hospital bills like a THOUSAND DOLLARS when I had a hypoglycemic or when I had seizures and brain damage due to severe low blood sugar, or worse, you'll become a widow than paying for a $3 bottle of soda," I asserted.
"Ugh. Fine," he sighs, grabbing a bottle of soda.
"Works every time," I murmured, smirking.
He's in charge and very strict about budgeting our money, making sure that every penny we earn doesn't go to waste, but he breaks his rules for my teeny-tiny happiness.
He's impatient and fiery in many ways, but for me, he can adjust just to take care of and protect not only my physique but also my feelings. I love my husband and wouldn't trade the love he has given me for anything in this world. Hihi.

Diary of the Vampy Witch: Uncaptured Adventure │ Page 1
***Dear Diary,***
Hey! I'm not sure where to start because this is my first time writing a diary or journal. My colleague recommended I do this to help with sorting things. For the past year, I've been trying to live peacefully as a ***muggle***—a nonmagical person—since I don't want to be associated with the complicated world of drinking blood and waving wands after my parents were killed in the war between them and the dark lord.
By the way, my name is **Kirsten**. I am **126 years old**. You heard correctly. My dad is a vampire and my mom is a witch, but I was "raised" by my evil muggle aunt, who unfortunately died 50 years ago, that's why I'm living alone in my tiny apartment here in the city.
I attended **Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry**, but after graduating, I studied and worked in different courses and fields in the muggle world, such as being a doctor, detective, lawyer, educator, police officer, soldier, artist, chef, architect, pilot, programmer, singer, and so on, which led to my current career as a writer.
I even wrote a short poem about it. Hehe.
Everything was normal for me until I visited an abandoned gallery in the middle of the forest eight years ago, and when I sipped the blood in my hand in the painting, I had strange dreams every night. I had a dream that a man was with me, and I felt at ease with him even though I couldn't see his face. It's hazy. But what happened in each dream remains vivid in my memory.
Just like the other night, I dreamed of riding a ***Nimbus 2000*** in a broad daylight with that man, who I'm sure is a sorcerer. My hands are all over his waist as we ride the broomstick. In my dream, I had known him for a long time.
We went to several places, such as a convenience store, in search of cheese powder, but instead bought dish ingredients and pizza. Dreams can be strange at times, don't you think?
Our final stop is a castle where a three-headed dog named Fluffy greets us. They're not dangerous, but they're drooling all over your shoes.
We went inside, and he invited me to breakfast with him. He had prepared a feast, but I only ate a few bites due to my terrible motion sickness. I showered in his bathroom and changed into a gown he had prepared.
I was standing by the window, combing my hair, when I was alarmed to see a piece of garlic and a plastic sheet of salt at the window's corner, so I just continued to fix my hair in the vanity mirror.
When I went out of the room, I saw him waiting for me outside. He hold my hand and led me to his magical farm at the back of the castle where I can see different kind of animals he's raising. I was amazed to see those creatures and smiling as I'm looking at them. But, suddenly it rains so we ran inside of the castle.
I suppose that was a rather short dream. But that was one of the happiest dreams I'd ever had.
*Till my next letter,*

I'd never written for 5 days in a row because I went away for a detoxifying and relaxing long weekend. Birds are chirping, chickens are clucking, and all I can hear when it rains is raindrops in the roof while cuddling with the warm shaking sheets. Ah! Life.
Anyway, I hope this was a good start to my new series. Please leave your comments below. Have a wonderful day! Santé!

Earth After Dark : Till Our Next Eclipse, My Moon | Part 10 (Ending)
**1:00 a.m.**
I'm still alive. I'm still here. I thought I was going to die after I passed out as a result of that pill. My body pain and headache appear to have worsened. 8 hours. I have only 8 hours before the drug's efficacy expires to complete this mission. I'm not sure what will happen to me after that, but I don't care. I'm going to die soon, too, and I'm going to use the time I have left to do the right thing.
I can't feel my lower body, so I crawl all the way up to my room to reach my table. I did everything I could to get to the pill's container. I put one of the two remaining pills in a small plastic sheet and put it in my pocket, while swallowing the other and, the worst feeling happened again for 10 seconds.
When I could feel my legs again, I stood up and sat in front of my computer, where I hacked Elio's system once more. He's definitely in their base, and I'll have to use him as a spy camera to determine how many bots and humans I need to eliminate before breaking into their lab.
I succeeded after several minutes of coding on my computer. There are 10 robots in total, 20 security personnel, and three people wearing white lab gowns, which I assume are doctors. Dr. Cahn is also there assisting his 8-year-old daughter and his wife as they board a private jet with two other security personnel. Dr. Cahn exited the plane minutes later, and the plane took off without him.
I minimized the window and went through the controls of my bots. I turned them on and programmed them to perform different functions. Outside the lab, seven of my fifteen voice command drones are in charge, and the remaining eight will infiltrate it. My ten most advanced humanoid robots, which also have voice commands, have been tasked with eliminating the enemy's robots and security personnel. I'll track down Dr. Cahn and anyone else who gets in my way.
I checked the tracker and saw my bots standing nearby, not far from the lab, waiting for my signal to attack, so I quickly changed into my combat suit, prepared my firearms and grenades, and went up into my dad's pick-up truck. When I arrived, I deployed my bots and attacked the laboratory.
**5:00 a.m.**
"Intruders!" Someone shouted.
There are gunshots and explosions all over the place. I grabbed my gun and dashed to the security gate, but I was dragged back. I grasped his arm, tossing it to the ground and grappling with it as soon as my sensory picked it up.
It's Elio. I recognized him because of the damage I left on his forehead when I tossed in the first time I met him, and the leg I mended.
"What are you doing here, Luna? You're not supposed to be here, and they're going to kill you," Elio said.
"Oh, look, the traitor," I mocked.
"We don't have time to argue any longer— Luna! Look out!" he yelled, pushing me to the side to avoid the bullet. "Come on!" He took my hand, and we dashed to the side of a large metallic apparatus to hide.
"Trust me this time; Dr. Cahn is a dangerous man; he knows you're here and planning to kill him because he saw you accessing a copy of my hard drive," Elio added.
"Aaaaaahhhhhrrrrrggggggg!!! I can't breathe!—"
"Luna! What's happening? Hey!" Elio said.
"T-the pill! It's in my pocket! Get the... pill!" I uttered, my breathing heavy.
He rummaged through my pockets to find the plastic sheet containing a pill.
"What is this pill?" Elio asked.
"No... more questions. T-There's no time," I said as I swallowed the pill. It's only been 4 hours, but the pill's effectiveness has already worn off. I'm not sure how long this last pill will last, so I need to get moving.
"Where is that Dr. Cahn? Answer me!" I exclaimed.
"In the basement, come with me." Elio answered.
We hurried down the elevator to the basement, where we were greeted by five armed personnel and Dr. Cahn. They aimed their assault rifles at me.
"Well, well. Isn't it the daughter of the geniuses' enemies? I bet your parents injected you with virus immunity, which is why you're still alive," Dr. Cahn smirked. "And you, like your parents, are a genius; you built weapons to infiltrate my lab. But what are you? Like 80 years old? Hahaha!" his evil laughter echoed all over the place.
"You monster! You murdered my parents!" Elio and I both aimed our guns as well.
"And you have my prototype's loyalty; I guess I'll have to shut him down too though," Dr. Cahn snarled. He pressed the button and Elio became electrified, as if the robot was about to be discharged. Elio's lower half explodes.
"Stop it!!!" I fired my gun and fatally shot the five security personnel; leaving only Dr. Cahn. "Drop everything right now!"
The evil Bacteriologist dropped the gun and the controller.
"Please spare me, my family is waiting for me to return home. I'll stop this. All I want is for them to have a wonderful world. I don't want this to happen. The hatred eats me, and I can't think of anything but revenge,"
The side effect of the drug is acting up again. I can't breathe again. I slowly lowered my gun, but the doctor took a chance and shot me through the heart three times.
"Luna!!" Elio crawled and shot the doctor several times until his lifeless body lay on the ground.
Elio held my nearly lifeless body on the ground, bathed in my own blood, while more blood spilled through my mouth as I coughed. Maybe because the bullet pierced my heart and lungs.
"I-Its... Okay. We succeeded, Elio. This war is finish. I can now die... in peace," I said.
"Don't say that, Luna, I want to live here with you. I want to spend every minute with you. I'm confused. It feels like I have my own feelings even though I'm a robot... I love you, Luna." Elio begged.
"T-That made me... the happiest. If parallel universe did exist, maybe you're a **chef** and I am a... a **writer**, writing stories about us two... Maybe in another life, we don't have to say goodbye because we're immortals. A **sorcerer** and a **witch**. Don't be sad because I died," I said.
"Hey, don't say anything, I'll heal you!" exclaimed Elio.
"Listen. Do you know what your name means? The **Sun**. A-And mine's the **Moon**. We'll meet again for sure... I will find you... and look for you in another lifetime. **Till our next eclipse, my sun**,"
**Luna passed away.** Elio wrote something on a piece of paper, placed it between their clasped hands, and shut himself down beside Luna's dead body the next day.
Yellow! 💛
This is quite hard and heavy. But, as she promises, they will meet again, so don't be sad about it. Hehe.
This piece was written in collaboration with @alykavinsky, my favorite poet. Thank you so much for doing this, bub! This one fits the scene perfectly; you did an excellent job. I love it! More collabs for us to come. Hihi.

Earth After Dark : Luna's Weapon | Part 9
*Nothing will happen to me if I merely sulk and cry in a corner. I will avenge my parents' death. The perpetrators of what happened to the country must be held responsible, and I am the only one who is capable of doing it. I'm gonna make them pay.*
I booted up my computer and went through my previous project drafts of CAD/CAM. I saw my rough sketches of robots, drones, and other mechanical innovations. I scrolled down and found a folder containing a clone of Elio's hard disk. I hacked it and bypassed the security passwords and found that it held all of Dr. Cahn's plans and critical data, including the location of his lab.
*Wicked! But how can my weak physique pull it off?*
I rolled my wheelchair down to the basement, where my parents' lab is kept. It's my first time seeing it since my parents told me it was off-limits to me. I've seen a lot of test tubes and other apparatus. I searched through the cupboard on top of the shelf and discovered several capsules and pills with labels.
**Imperiosus Adrenaline Pills**, as identified on one of the pill containers. It sounded like the drug used in the film **Limitless**, and I have a feeling, it's the one I needed. I took the container with three pills on it and went back to my room to retrieve my laptop.
I moved my wheelchair to my bookshelves. I pushed the concealed red button, it revealed a hidden entrance to my own lab/office. And when I turned on the lights, I was welcomed with my dusty toys and inventions.
*Okay. Let the battle begin. First, I must check this pill to see what it may do to me.*
For a brief moment, I was dumbfounded. My parents are geniuses! I thought they were normal doctors, but they developed stimulants and tonics to give people superhuman energy. Except for the fact that they created vaccines to treat people who had been afflicted by the epidemic.
There are three pills left in the jar, and the side effects are not to be taken lightly. I have to use this with caution because I don't know how long the efficacy of these pills will last in minutes, hours, or days.
I shook the bottle to get to the first pill. I take a closer look at it. It has a white color, 12 mm in diameter and 5 mm in height, a rough texture, and sparkles like pulverize diamond. I swallow it and drink some water. Seconds after...
*Aaaahhhhhrrrrrrgggggggg!*
My head hurts so much, my heart is racing, my pupils have dilated, and I can feel all of my blood rushing through my body. I collapse to the ground, clutching my chest. These sensations last about 15 seconds, but after that...
My vision was optimized to 20/20 or much clearer. 20/15? I can see what a microscope might see. I can stand without assistance. My body pain has faded away. I can hear even the smallest sound. I can read and memorize the encyclopedia in a minute, move faster, and multitask better than most human beings.
I don't have any more time to be amazed. I sat in front of the computer and read every detail about **Dr. Cahn** and the **Pseudo-Aero Project**. I design a prototype of a weaponized drone and other lethal robots and gather all of the materials required to build it quietly. I don't want that walking bacteria to find out what I'm up to.
When I'm done with the robots and drones, I go to places like military camps and firing ranges to gather useful weapons like different firearms and grenades, which I load into my father's pick-up truck. I completed all of the works in only eight hours, which is impossible for one person to complete alone.
*Aaaaarrrrggggghhhhhh! It hurts!!*
I think the pills' effectiveness is starting to wane. My head is spinning, and my body is weakening. My joints are in pain. I can clearly hear static. I'm having trouble breathing. My vision became hazy. My chest hurts terribly. This is the worst feeling I've ever had in my life.
Yellow! 💛
It took me a while to write the drug facts. Haha!
I can't believe this series is coming to an end tomorrow! Grab your weapons as we help Luna in putting an end to this war.

Earth After Dark : What Are You, Really? | Part 8
"Then you decide... You'll kill her to wrap up our mission, or I'll do it myself? She's the last one on the list, Master Elio1008,"
"Just give me a few more days, let me handle this..." Elio pleaded.
As I make my way down the stairs, I hear voices. I look around the corner of the room. I was stunned to see two Elios standing at the front door. Elio is talking with another robot that looks exactly like him.
"Elio? What? H-how? Kill me? What are you, really?" I interrupted their conversation, confused.
"Oh, hello, Ms. Luna Dominique Murphy. The only daughter of Dr. Angelique Murphy and Dr. Lucius Murphy, and the sole survivor of **Elio's Pseudomonas Aeruginosa**," the other robot said.
"Who are you? E-Elio—virus?" I became more perplexed.
"Your robot boyfriend killed your parents—"
"Stop it! Elio0307, just leave right now," Elio snarled.
Elio0307 smirked and walked out the door, leaving me and Elio alone. I'm baffled. My parents were murdered by someone I trusted and loved. I think I'm gonna be sick.
"I'm sorry, Luna; I-I tried to tell you—"
"Explain it," I said, peering into nothingness.
"I am the prototype of **Pseudo-Aeru Project**..."
Elio waved her hand in the air, and a holographic screen appeared. He tapped a few buttons, and some of the videos of me chatting to him showed. He scrolled down and found the first video he had ever taken since his creation.
***(Forewarning: What you are about to read is just a work of fiction.)***
The **Pseudo-Aeru Project** is an illicit project of **Dr. Aaron Cahn**, a well-known professional **Bacteriologist**. He developed this plan in order to spread an epidemic and wipe out the people of the country till it spread and killed everyone on the world after losing in the presidential election.
He merely wants his country to be restored, to save the world in his own way, but his country believes he's insane and the government has sent him to a mental facility. Because of his connections and wealth, he was able to escape and execute his plan in his subterranean laboratory.
After many years of his research, he found out that **Pseudomonas Aeruginosa** is an opportunistic pathogen that is commonly found in the soil, water and other moist locations. *(KirstenCassandra: That's why I despise damp places. Lol)* It takes advantage of a person's compromised immune system to cause an infection, and this organism also creates tissue-damaging toxins.
It causes urinary tract infections, respiratory system infections, dermatitis, soft tissue infections, bacteremia, bone and joint infections, gastrointestinal infections, and a variety of systemic infections, particularly in patients with severe burns and cancer and AIDS patients who are immunocompromised.
It was finally completed, tested and multiplied. Spread happens through hospital personnel's hands, direct patient contact with infected fluids, and consumption of contaminated meals and drink, and that's another problem. How he will distribute the bacteria throughout the country?
That is why he purchased the idea of **Elio1008** from his **Roboticist** colleague, **Charles Samson**, Luna's Robotics professor, and created ten additional robots to copy his prototype in order to carry out his plan. He sent five of his robots and the prototype to hospitals, three to the country's water supply, and the last three to different farms to spread the bacteria in animals and crops.
He was successful in less than a month. The epidemic spread quickly and killed 70% of the country's citizens. He intends to exterminate humanity in order to make the world a happier place free of pollution, corruption, and poverty for his family.
"But how did my parents die? Did they die of disease as well? Did they suffer?" I asked one after another.
"No. I killed them, Luna,"
"Wha-What do you mean, Elio?"
"When your mother, Dr. Angelique, discovered the cure for the infection and developed a vaccine for it, other patients were cured. Dr. Cahn learned about it, he asked me to kill your mother, which I did with a lethal injection made by Dr. Cahn himself, and when your father, Dr. Lucius, saw me, he attacked me, and I accidentally shot him with a gun." Elio explained. "I-I'm sorry, Luna."
"You're horrible! You knew all along but never told me!" cried Luna. "I despise you; I will never forgive you; you have made my life a living hell... Get out. Get out!"

Earth After Dark : The Last Supper? | Part 7
I woke up the next morning in a really comfortable bed in the mall's furnishings area to find this handsome robot looking at me.
"How's your sleep?" Elio asked.
"G-great. You? H-your how's leg? Do you have any unusual...?" I stammered.
"I'm perfectly all right; possibly it was because of your kiss," he smirked.
"Ah... Oh, I think I'm hungry; shall we eat?" I interjected.
He chuckled and helped me in getting out of bed. I could feel my knees weakening, so he got the wheel chair, helped me sit comfortably, and pushed it into the elevator to take me downstairs.
I'm now looking at a reflection of an elderly lady with wrinkled skin, white hairs peeking through, and pale complexion through the human-sized mirror inside the elevator.
My **Progeria** condition caused me to age faster. Just a few days ago, I aged 20 years and now I looked like a lady in my 70's. I wouldn't be surprised if one of these days I became paralyzed or, worse, die.
"We're here!" Elio exclaimed to wake my dormant soul.
He did, in fact, cook a feast as I requested before I shut him down. You can't even mess with this one. He prepared three tables of different dishes, including pastas, fried dishes, sauced dishes, seafoods, desserts and even liquiors, too. Is this a euphemism for "You're gonna die soon, so eat all you want."?
"Looks like I've paid off my debt to you, Miss Ma'am."
"Hell, yeah, dummy..." I uttered and wolfed down each of those dishes as if it were my final meal.
**I'm so full and drunk.** I leaned back in my wheelchair, stroking my huge tummy like a pregnant woman in labor who was about to give birth. All of the dishes he prepared were scrumptious.
"Can I ask you one last favor?" I begged.
"Why is it the last? Ask me anything, and I'll give it to you," he responds.
"I'm about to die. I can feel it. I have this disease called **Progeria**, and I know you're aware of it because of your AI function. I just want to go home. To our old house, I want to stay there. At least I have my parents' memories with me till the day I die," I stated. "Would you mind walking me there?"
"Of course, I don't mind. Whatever you like, my queen," he said, kneeling before me and touch my face. His eyes are filled with despair.
"You know what, we have that ***Wanda x Vision*** kind of thing except I don't have super powers, I'm more like ***Tony Stark***, I suppose." I chuckled, booping his snoot.
"I can't believe I'm gonna fall in love with a ***Synthezoid***, a synthetic humanoid robot. Did I just say that I'm in love with you? Well, I can't take it back now." I said drunkenly.
I gave him a bitter smile, and he hugged me. I cried so loudly that it could be heard in every corner of the mall. I have a lot of regrets. I don't know how my parents died because of this illness; I could've just saved them or died with them; I didn't even enjoy my life, and I can't stay longer with the one I love.
"Let's go, I'll take you home," he said, grabbing the wheelchair's handle and pushing it out of the mall and walking home without saying anything.
I'm so drunk, but I can see how this world has been ruined. What happened to humanity? Humans, I believe, do not have the right to exist in this world. Nature is taken for granted until it is destroyed. Corruption and murder are on the rise, as is poverty.
The majority of the rich get richer, while the poor get poorer. I have a lot of questions that I don't know the answers to, and I'm tired of looking for clues. Perhaps I can leave things as they are and everything remains a mystery.
"Shall we?" Elio asked.
I hadn't realized we were now in front of our old house. Elio pushed the wheelchair into our ramp and pushed open the door. Everything is dusty and filthy, as if it were an abandoned asylum. The mini elevator is still operational. We boarded it and entered my room.
"Your room resembles a hospital clinic," he observed.
"Yeah, my parents are doctors, and they always want to look after me,"
"Now, rest for a while; I'll clean the house so you don't have to," he said as he tucked me into bed.
"Thank you, Elio," I closed my eyes and said.
A loud boom struck our house minutes after Elio went downstairs. I jolt awake in my bed, startled. What exactly is going on?
Yellow! 💛

I wrote this while eating my dinner in the office. It's raining outside and I'm stuck in here for the night. It's a little scary here, so I did my best to distract myself. Thank goodness, the bebuu is always with me, so staying here isn't as bad as it seems.

Earth After Dark : The Maintenance and Repairs | Part 6
"Aaaahhhhhrrrggg!"
I panicked and hurried down the mall's stairs when I heard the loud scream. It's Elio. He's lying on the ground and I notice a flicker of wire in his leg that looks to be grounded. When Alfred, James' dog, bit Elio's leg earlier, the wires may have damaged the surface and made his leg inoperable.
I left him for a moment to go to the gaming store and retrieve my tool bag. When I return, the wires are still sparkling, so I must turn him off in order to repair the damage.
"Ho-how can I turn you off? Where's the switch?" I said, panicked.
"You already did," Elio answered nonchalantly, facing the other way.
"What if I burn you down instead of mending you?" I threatened.
"Then do it, and then go to James' hotel—"
"Where's the effing button!!!" I yelled.
"Here," he responded, pointing his chest. "Push the red button for 5 seconds and I will shut down; if you still want to turn me on, press the red button for another 5 minutes and kiss me. As simple as that."
*Uh, a kiss to turn you on, huh? Do I really have to kiss this piece of metal? Okay, Luna, he's a friend. You must do this. You have no choice.*
"All right, I'm going to press that button now. I'll check your overall system for damages and turn you back on when I'm through. You owe me a feast after this, you dummy."
"Good night, Luna," he smiled.
"Sweet dreams for you, and no sleep for me," I cynically muttered as I pressed the red button. He closed his eyes slowly, and the flickering wires stopped sparking.
Now, let's start the *"surgery"*. I looked for the thread hole in Elio's leg part and used my power drill in reverse mode to remove the screw. I removed the cover and found a few protruding wires. I cut it delicately, replaced it with a new one, and groomed it nicely.
Unfortunately, the leg case is cracked, and since I don't know where Elio is manufactured, I won't be able to replace it. For the meantime, I'll patch it with a piece of thin steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber vinyl wrap for cars to cover the leg system.
I also plugged his cord to my computer and inspected his control system, robot framework, manipulators, and drivetrain to check if anything is needed to be repaired. When I find no problems, I screw the cases back on and pause for a moment.
Uh, it's already 2:08 a.m., and I've been working on this dummy for five hours straight. I held my lower back and bent my back gently, cracking several of my vertebrae. I want to see a chiropractor, but I don't think my 50-year-old body can withstand it, so little stretching will enough to ease my back pain.
This is the moment you've all been waiting for... Chz! I can now kiss the bot. It looks ridiculous, but I have to switch him back on. I leaned up close, hit the button for five minutes, and pressed my lips to his. Just as I was going to stand up to see if it was really functioning. He pulled me close and continued the kiss.
My eyes widened in shock. I'm at a loss on what to do. It's my first time kissing anyone or anything. His lips are moving, and it feels surreal, bringing a different kind of pleasure. I closed my eyes and followed the flow till...
"Luna? Luna!"
***I fainted out from exhaustion. Darn it!***

Angel Baby [RRFB]
***"I'm still alive, darn it!"***
Those are the first words I say when I wake up in the morning. I'm tired. Tired of living, tired of screaming in silence, tired of being alone in this catastrophic world of mine. Hell is said to be scorching, then why is it so cold? It's bitterly frigid in here.
Why do I keep on expecting a sane person to want to be in this chaotic world with someone as chaotic as me? I should quit.
I keep apologizing for everything. When something awful happens, I bear responsibility. I always blamed myself, it's for my peace. I am quite harsh to myself. I feel I have no redeeming qualities. I'm a mediocre. I can get things done, but not exceptionally well. I have anxiety attacks over little disagreements or when I am yelled at, and I overthink everything. That's how horrific I am.
I'm a wrecked ship. I'm putting all of my pieces together to build myself again. Pull out my nail and hammer to mend some wood. Getting hurt while building it, but I'm still trying. It takes a long time to repair, but then the waves came and wrecked me again.
All I want is to be loved. I just want to be cared for. I constantly craved for someone who can give me the love I deserve. I just need someone to keep me sane, like the antidepressants I take. Someone who can hug me when I can't even stand up. Brush my hair if I couldn't sleep like a doze of melatonin and stay with me even if I'm cloaked in darkness, but I don't deserve it because I constantly break nice things.
The bad winter came. I fell ill. I'm barely able to taste. I can't smell anything. Everything hurts and I'm battling to breathe. I closed my eyes. Perhaps this is the end of me. Then someone came to my rescue, a solemn-faced angel with a broken wing.
He picked me up and carried me into a cave, wrapping me in his purely white wings to keep me warm and safe. He took care of me till I woke up. I pushed him away instead of thanking him. I don't want to harm him with my dark soul, and angels aren't supposed to befriend with lost demons like me.
***"You tricked me with a hoax. You're an angel like me..."***
That's what he said after hearing my furious remarks about shoving him away. He walked up to me, ripped a piece of his clothing, and damped it. He washed away the black tint on my lips and eyelids, revealing a pure and innocent face riddled with wounds and battle scars. I'm not a demon, I'm just in pain.
He let me glimpse the four tattoos on his skin, and since then I've been seeing myself through his eyes. I, too, am an angel, but someone ripped my wings and stole them away from me. I can see my bright sides now, I'm gradually learning to love myself, and he showed me how to love unconditionally.
I still have breakdowns, but the best part is that I'm no longer alone. My angel baby is with me, guiding my every step, helping me in rebuilding my shattered ship, and holding my hand as we looked for my missing wings. Everything has changed. Now, each morning when I wake up, I say:
***"Thank God, I'm still alive..."***
Yellow! 💛
I'm feeling quite sentimental today since I'm experiencing ***Thursday blues*** and I don't have a prompt in mind, so I launched the Spotify app on my phone and shuffled through my ***Dire Wolf Sorcerer*** playlist when I heard the ***Troye Sivan*** song ***"Angel Baby"*** (Hi, boyfriend! Hihi), which gave me the idea for my article.
I hope you enjoyed reading this even if it's a little heavy for the dreary weather. Keep safe you. Santé!

I Love You Tons-katsu │ Part 6: WDIAFFFM?
When I opened my eyes, it was 11:00 a.m. I sat and leaned against the headboard of my bed. I wiped my face with a sheet from the pack of wet wipes. After that, I took my comb and brushed my hair, thinking about the memories that had flashed through my head earlier.
"Knock!" said Theo as he carried a bed table brimming with food.
"Oh, p-please come in." I stuttered.
"I got you some food because I know you're hungry after eating a few this morning." He said.
He made Pork Tonkatsu, which is a pork tenderloin mashed with tenderizer, dusted with salt and pepper, dipped in beaten egg, coated thoroughly with flour and bread crumbs, then pan fried till golden brown, comes with a sweet tangy katsu sauce.
Thinking about how it's cooked makes my tummy grumble loudly. He also prepared grated cabbage with special white dressing on top as a side dish and a steamy rice sprinkled with black sesame seeds. I'm drooling.
"Your mom is making your smoothie. She'll be here in a minute."
"Um, is there any leftover soup from what we ate this morning?" I asked.
"Yes, do you want some? But I'm worried it'll trigger your headache again," Theo expressed concern.
"I'm alright. I'm just thinking it'll go well with Pork Tonkatsu," I murmured, my puppy eyes on him.
"All right, I'll go get it for you," he said, set the bedtable in front of me and walked out of the room.
I smiled, looking at the feast he had prepared as if I were dining in a fancy restaurant in my sparkly dress with my handsome date in his tux. Then he'll invite me to dance in the moonlight, his left hand on my waist and in my tiny hand on the other, eye to eye and about to—
*Kriiinnngg*
"Ugh! What?" I complained as I hit the green button on my phone's screen.
"Am I interrupting? Are you daydreaming again? Anyway, how are you, bisch? I heard you're not feeling well," Nina said over the phone.
"Yeah, something happened. I'll tell you about it when I go to work tomorrow; Theo's here in our house, taking care of me," I said nonchalantly.
"Wait! Who is this Theo?" Nina asked, confused.
"Do you remember that cute guy in the coffee shop?"
Nina shouted, "What? You desperate girl! How did you do that?"
"Calm down, bisch, I'll tell you about it tomorrow, alright, he's already here with mom, see you tomorrow," I answered.
"Wai— *tooot-tooot*"
Mom was the first to enter, bringing me a refreshing mango smoothie she'd made, and Theo was in her back, holding the bowl of soup he'd ladled from the pot.
"How are you feeling, sweetie?" Mom asked.
"Much better, Mom."
"That's good to hear. I'll leave you two for now. I'm gonna be doing the laundry downstairs," Mom said as she walked out of my room.
Theo placed the bowl of soup on my bedtable and nodded, as if to say, "Eat well." I took out my chopsticks, grab a slice of Pork Tonkatsu, dip it in the sauce, and bite.
My eyes dilated. It's crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper. I can taste a subtle fruitiness... I'm not sure what it is.
"I marinated it with lime, how is it?" Theo queried.
"It's fantastic; the lime improves the flavor and leaves a refreshing aftertaste in every bite, and I'm glad it'll go well with the soup; you're an amazing chef."
"Thank you. It's my pleasure." He smiled.
I can't help but do this little head and shoulder dance since I'm really enjoying my food and didn't realize how quickly I finished it. That is the most scrumptious Pork Tonkatsu I've ever had in my life.
"It seems like you really loved Theo's cooking, huh? I see you're dancing," Mom said as she stood in the doorway with a laundry basket in hand.
"I did," I responded, clutching my full tummy.
"I was just checking to see if you needed anything, but it appears you already have it," Mom quipped looking at me and Theo.
Theo chuckled. I wiped my face with my palm, and mom grinned as he placed the laundry basket outside my door and took the bedside table in front of me to take it to the kitchen sink. What a cool mom she is, right? Ugh.
"May I see your books?" Theo said as he approached it.
"Sure. As you please." I answered.
While rummaging through my bookcase, he's lured in by that one bookshelf full of books with an animated and enchanting cover authored by F.G. Chan.
"How did you find this whole set of the book that I've been looking for for so long?" Theo was astounded.
"I made them," I smiled as I walked up to him.
"No, you aren't..."
He's shocked and clumsy, having accidentally bumped the bookcase to his right, causing it to wobble. When I noticed a large book threatening to fall on his head, I pushed Theo quickly to dodge it, he hugged me tight as he slightly banged his back on the bookcase.
I peered into his beautiful eyes, my hands on his broad chest, my heart hammering like the pages of a thick book flipping while slowly falling to the ground.
"I caught you," he said.
Too bad for the book.
Yellow! 💛
I haven't penned anything in this series in three weeks. I chose to focus on the fairytale story I was working on in order to finish it and go on to volume 2.
I'd publish two articles in a single day if I could, but I wouldn't risk being banned, so nah.
Stay safe you. Santé!
