Sale! Sale! Sale!.
Who amongst you are "patola" of sale? Sales at the mall, sale in Lazada, sale in Shopee and too many more!!. There are lots of sale everywhere!
I am actually one of the victim of these 50% sale, 70% sale and some more!.
Shopping or I think I would rather say Window shopping is one of my ways to pamper myself from being exhausted.
Impulsive buying when upset.
I remember this instance, when my husband and I had a BIG fight, I am reporting to office that time. I went to office that day very very stressed and upset about my husband. I cannot recall what exactly is the reason of that BIG fight but I can say that I felt really sad and hurt that time.
So since I left the house that day and upon arriving at my workplace, I did not texted my husband. Normally (when the situation between us is normal), I always inform my husband through text if once I have arrived the office. It is to let him know that I safely arrived at my destination.
Since I am too busy at work, I tend to forget our big fight my entire shift. But then, I never texted him to let him know that I've grabbed my lunch already.
And here comes the end of my shift. My usual routine is, I'll walk from our office to the Market-Market (I am working in BGC) because there is available VAN there going to Cavite.
While I am walking, my stressed and upset feeling suddenly went back!. I never informed my husband that my shift has ended already. Upon arriving at Market Market, the thought that I don't want to see my husband yet because I am really upset that time keeps on bothering me. And hence, what I did is I entered the mall and roam around.
I suddenly passed by into a Nokia store. If I may recall it correctly, believe the newly released phone that time is Nokia X. I believe it's very hot that time because it is the first ever android phone of Nokia.
For those who don't know how nokia x looks like, here's a photo grabbed from google.
I cannot recall exactly how much did it cost way back then. But for me to be able to ease and calm myself, I decided to buy one! I bought the color black because I believe it's the only available color from that store. I don't have any cash in hand aside from my daily allowance hence I decided to use my credit card.
And as soon as I arrived at home, I went straight to our bedroom without talking to my husband. I immediately checked the phone that I've purchased when he suddenly entered the room.
And then he asked me "bumili ka ng cp? eh may cp kapa naman?". Guess what my response is?
"Eh kasi naiinis ako sayo!..Kaya naisip kong bumili nalang ng cell phone!"
I know that my reasoning is non-sense because buying the phone using my credit card means another monthly responsibility.
Shopee is Blessing in Disguise.
Up until now, whenever I am so upset or feeling exhausted, it's been my diversion to scroll at any online store (most of the time is shopee) and add to my cart any interesting item for me.
And do you want to see how many items I've got in my shopee cart at the moment?
charaaaannnnn!
And whoever think that I am a BIG SPENDER right now after learning that I've got 148 items in my cart, let me correct your thought!..
I am not buying them all!.
In fact, most of the items in my card are like more than 1 year old (in my cart) already.!. Sometimes, I used to scroll in my cart and check-out some items that I needed so badly. But those items that I think are not priority or no use? I just leave them there. I just let them sit there until I decided to remove them or clean them up!.
While to some, online shops are kind of temptations, to me they are blessing in disguise!.
Just imagine if there's no online shops available right? I may have bought bunch of non-useful stuffs!. Just like what I've shared above where I tend to buy a phone which is none of my plan and is not relevant during that time.
So I think I need to say "THANK YOU SHOPEE" for saving me (a lot of times) from my IMPULSIVE buying!.
My sincerest thanks to all of you who are always supporting my articles, and sparing some time leaving comments, upvotes and thumbs-up!. You're one of my motivations to keep on writing and publishing articles.
