Don't Mind Me, It's Just Pure Randomness I feel different today, what I mean is I can't think of any good topic right now to write and share with you. My brain today is not functioning well or it is just my laziness that strikes my core again. I tried reading some articles on my notifications hoping that I can able to grasp an idea but sadly, my brain didn't cooperate. I attempted to take a rest for a while and do some household chores, and even take a bath even though I usually take a shower before I sleep in the evening. But then again, no effect on my little brain. I tried my last resort which is browsing for random questions on the internet just to spare this day. I don't want to skip a day this month because I have started to be productive on the very first day of April. I saw different types of questions to answer, I thought that this is it, that it was just easy but I find it hard to answer some questions that's why it took me how many minutes to find these sets of questions. Finally, I find my savior, I find my hope, and I find what I am looking for. I can't help but smile, I finally have something to write today. WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE THE 5 MOST BEAUTIFUL THINGS ON EARTH? WHY? If I were going to pick 5, I will choose wilderness, animals, sunsets, people's laughter, and last but not least is me, of course. I will not let this opportunity pass without including myself on the list because why not? Right? Kidding aside. I always admired how beautiful nature is. It is proof of natural art that we are witnessing every day. An art that nobody can copy, a unique art. Don't forget the people's laughter, it's just an indication of people's enjoyment and happiness. It's nice to live in a world that is full of joy and peace, right? WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF AN INTROVERT OR AN EXTROVERT? I can say that I am an introverted type of person. Unlike extroverts, I am not that socially active. I prefer to be in a small crowd like my family or my circle of friends rather than choosing to be in a wide variety of crowds. However, I believe that I am not fully introverted. I read about some other personality types and I manage to encounter the word '**ambivert**'. To simply define it, it just means it's a person whose personality is balanced between extrovert and introvert. Sometimes when I am with the right people, I suddenly felt to be energetic which causes me to socialize more but sometimes it's the opposite. So yeah, I am an ambivert! (Not a pervert, okay?) HOW DO YOU THINK THE WORLD WILL CHANGE IN 10 YEARS? 50 YEARS? 100 YEARS? According to my scientifically, geometry, trigonometric mata kong tumitirik char. The future is bright, that's the only thing that I can say. From what we are experiencing today, technological advancement plays a vital role in the succession of the future. What we have today may evolve or upgrade in the future which can cause inevitable change. In addition, since technology in the future will be more advance and accurate, I believe that people in that generation already adopted cryptocurrency as their primary wallets and payment methods. Well, there are a lot of things that we can't say are possible. All I know is that, as the world continues to revolve, human curiosity and desire to change the world will be present. WHAT'S SOMETHING THAT OFFENDS YOU? Usually, I feel offended when I am with a group of people who didn't care about my existence, who take my presence, time, and efforts for granted. That is the worst feeling that I don't want to feel ever in my life. It's just like a big slap for me that even though you are there, you are with them trying to fit in, you are not still worthy and welcome enough to get their attention. Well, ladies and gentlemen know your worth. We deserve to be treated the way we treated others. Don't put effort into someone who cannot appreciate it! WHAT MAKES YOU MOST ANGRY ABOUT YOUR COUNTRY? I am not angry with my country rather I am angry with the people in the government who are hungry for power and riches. This is the exact reason why the country is not thriving. Personal interest and greed for money and authority dominate the country. If nations are being governed rightfully then maybe there are no problems and issues to think about. The Responsibility that Isn't Mine in the First Place I am the second eldest among four of my siblings and as the second eldest in the family, I know for sure that I will soon carry the heavy responsibility on my shoulders in the future. But you know what? I became too complacent because I know that I have an eldest brother that will support us once he graduate from college. That he will be the first one to carry the burden and responsibility to support our family before me, but some things don't work as we planned or imagined them to be. Indeed we can't predict the future, and we can't foresee our fate. Everything can change in an instant and the only thing that we can do is go with the flow, accept, and embrace the changes. Right now, I feel like the crown was passed onto me without me expecting it and all I can do is accept the responsibility to lead my kingdom. I thought that I can still be able to enjoy my youth and freedom but I suddenly felt chained and committed to my obligations. All that happens because of one reason, and that reason changes my priorities and whole being. Who would have thought that my eldest brother unexpectedly chose to take a different path? A path wherein his friends are his utmost priority than his family. A path wherein he chose to give up his education, and a path wherein he is considering building his own family. No one ever sees that coming and we never expect it to happen. The one that I thought to be the first one to help my family is the first person who gives up achieving his dream, making me the next successor of his duties and responsibilities. I can't help but feel pressured. Especially now that I am in the final step of my education which is college. Soon enough, after 3 more years, I will graduate, and I needed to find a stable career to support my family. Since my brother decided to stop his studies, it just means that I will be the first one in the family to take a college degree. Of course, I am proud but I feel like I suddenly became the eldest among us. Now, I know how the eldest feels when it comes to obligations. It's hard to do and hard to maintain. My current situation pressured me a lot even though my parents are not pressuring me. I can't help but overthink. What if I failed them? What if my future is not as bright as I see it? What if I became a disappointment? Will my parents still be proud of me? Will they still look up to me? I have a lot of what-ifs but I am fighting the urge to give up. This is just a challenge to me. God will never send a problem that I can't solve. I put my trust in Him. CLOSING THOUGHTS I just want to express what I am feeling for a long time now. The Inflicted Damage of 'Words' I am happily watching videos on Tiktok yesterday night before I sleep when I saw the video of a girl crying while having a heated conversation with his father and when I decided to watch it, I became sad and disappointed with her dad. The conversation goes like this... **Father:** *" Pinagsisisihan kong dumating kayo sa buhay ko! "* —*" I regret having you in my life! "* **Daughter:** *" Pinagsisisihan kong naging ama rin kita! Bakit? Ginusto ko bang ipanganak? Ginusto ko bang mabuhay ako? "* —*" I also regret that you became my father! Why? Did I wish to be born? Did I wish to live?"* Listening to what her father said pains me as a child. Imagine if you are the daughter in the video, for sure it will hurt a lot. Nothing can compare to the pain you were about to experience if you manage to hear those painful words coming from your parent's mouths. It's like you were stabbed multiple times in your heart that causes it to break or perhaps you will just feel numbed because of the pain. The persons we thought to protect us, we thought who can understand us is the very first person to hurt us. And that is absolutely a fact in many scenarios. We all know that there are families and households, that we can't call home. MY VIEWPOINT & REACTION Remember that we 'your childrens' didn't ask you 'our parents' to be born in this world. You're the one who decided to have a child, not ours. So it's your responsibility to take care of us. If you will just say that you will regret having us in your lives in the future then maybe you should not plan to have a child in the first place. Having a child is a lifetime responsibility, it's a lifetime commitment, and not easy as you think it is. Think first if you are ready to be a parent, think first if you are ready to carry on another responsibility, and think first if you know to yourself that you will be a good and responsible parent to your children. **"All children deserve a parent but not all parents deserve a child" — crdts** I admired how the daughter in the video manage to defend herself. I didn't mean that it's fine to talk back to your parents. What I mean is that the girl put up her courage to talk back because she knows that her father already crossed the line. We all know that here in the Philippines, once you answered back your parents even though they aren't right you are already considered as '**bastos**' or rude, and even '**Hindi marunong tumanaw ng utang na loob**' or ungrateful. Be reminded that some children talk back not because they are not respecting their parents, it is because they want to defend themselves from the words their parents are throwing at them and they want you to listen to their sides. Not because you are older than us means you are right all the time, you can still make a mistake and learn from it afterward. **To the parents out there, please learn to listen to your children's side. Not because we talk back means we are disrespecting you as our parents.** CLOSING THOUGHTS I believe that the words we throw at people can be lethal, maybe for us, it is just pure words, jokes, and insults, but for some? Does 'Freedom' Mean We can Do Whatever we Want? We all know that the Covid-19 cases here in the Philippines as of now are slowly decreasing, which is good news for each one of us. This news leads to the IATF —****(Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases)**** to allow 100% capacity in college, university in-person classes in Alert Level 1 areas, and that includes Manila where my university is located at. Hearing this news makes me and my friends excited to back into the old education system which is face-to-face classes that we missed for over two years. Who wouldn't, right? We all know how difficult it is to be in the new normal since not all individuals are privileged enough to sustain themselves in an online and modular setup. There are a lot of hindrances that can make 'us' the students lose their focus such as the environment they are in, freedom of access to using gadgets, and of course social media. This news had been the talk of the town in our group chat, we talked about the possible things that we will do once our university allowed in-person classes and that includes renting an apartment and traveling to the places we planned to visit. Did you know that we have planned to go to a bar? It's funny to know, but yeah we have planned it already. Not to drink alcoholic beverages or meet up with random people but just to experience the things we are reading in stories and watching in movies. A petty reason, right? Aside from that, we came up to open the advantages and disadvantages of being separated from our parents. The first thing is ****we will be more independent and we will have more freedom.**** Since our parents will not be on our side when that happens, we will learn a lot of things in our life including budgeting, time management, securing our safety, and many more. No parents mean no restrictions, but do you think the freedom we will about to experience mean we can do whatever we wanted to do? That we will take advantage of it for our benefit? Our answer is a no. We all grow up with a respect to our parents, and we will not exchange temporary freedom and happiness to break their trust. Freedom is something good to enjoy and appreciate but we should always remember that we should use it appropriately. Not because we are experiencing freedom today means we can do whatever we can think of. The best example of it is the current situation we are in. A lot of people nowadays are traveling and going to public places without minding that the pandemic is still present. Hundreds and thousands of people are joining rally campaigns for their chosen presidential candidates without minding the proper security protocol such as maintaining social distancing. See? When the government placed alert level 1 on different cities, eased the protocols, and the news declared the decreasing number of Covid cases, the people suddenly became complacent. I can't help but think that after the election in May covid cases will rise again, lockdowns will be implemented, and face-to-face will not be possible. I just hope that it will not happen, this kind of setup sucks, to be honest. I want everything to go back to its original place. Is it hard to ask? Is it not possible? Deep Thoughts in the Rainy Morning I woke up feeling cold this morning, I'm not ill alright? It's because the rain is pouring down the sky which makes the breeze of the wind colder. Like what I usually do every morning, I washed the rice and then cook it on our wood-powered stove. While waiting for it to cook, I sat on the chair in our front yard and watched the raindrops hit the leaves and flowers of our plants. ***'I love this weather today'*** that is the first thing that I felt today as I hugged myself. The dark clouds are covering the sky, the sounds of raindrops as it hits the ground is very calming, and the quiet environment makes me think of the thoughts that I want to share with you today. These are just random questions for today's article so bear with me. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU TRIED SOMETHING NEW? I was in my senior year in high school at that time (11th grade), and the pandemic hasn't started yet when I became interested in learning how to play the guitar. I don't know why I suddenly became so eager to play an instrument but presumably, it's the influence of my environment. Seeing my classmates play different musical instruments like guitar, keyboard, ukulele, drums, flute, and many more make me curious about it. I even asked my classmates to teach me and they happily agreed. They teach me the basics of playing until I memorized the chords and strumming. Looking back at that memories still brings me joy, I am still not that good at playing the guitar but I am looking forward to continuing to learn that instrument. WHO DO YOU SOMETIMES COMPARE YOURSELF TO? Truth be told, there's no particular person to who I keep comparing myself but I tend to compare myself to people who have big confidence and are socially active and effective. Those are the qualities that I believe I don't have or lack. But since I am a grown-up man now, in the first year of being a college student, I am slowly building my self-esteem and self-confidence because I want to get out of my comfort zone, take risks, and be sociable because you know I am an introverted type of person but I'm working with it right now. WHAT'S THE MOST SENSIBLE THING YOU'VE HEARD SOMEONE SAY? *"If you failed once, don't stop. If you failed twice, don't stop. If you failed thrice, don't stop. But if you failed so many times, stop, think for a while then don't stop." —* This came from my adviser in my 10th grade and until now I still remember it because of its message and meaning. It serves as my reminder every day that it's okay to experience failure, it's okay to take a rest, and the only thing that matters the most is to not give up on everything we do. It's okay to fail but it doesn't mean we are already a failure. CLOSING THOUGHTS I just realized today that I am more comfortable writing if it's a rainy day. Kumusta Ka? —How Are You? Each one of us is facing different dilemmas. Me, you, persons who are close to you such as family, relatives, and friends, as well as the people you didn't know that you encounter daily, are experiencing difficulties. **Indeed, difficult situations excuse no one.** Some are struggling to look for a better job amidst the pandemic, some are having a hard time searching for food for them to feed their families, some are silently battling their diseases or illnesses, some suffer from mental health issues because of stress and anxiety, some are experiencing heartbreak, some can't withstand the pressure and expectations in studies anymore, while some endure the grief and sorrow caused by the death of their loved ones. See that? We are different people in different places and nations yet we all have one similarity in common. And that is we are experiencing and fighting the difficulties we carry on our shoulders every day. That's why it's hard to judge someone based on how you look at them. Some people tend to smile but behind those smiles is a broken one. Some just keep on throwing jokes and making other people happy but deep inside they can't find a way to make themselves happy. It sounds ironic, right? But human nature works that way, we can't do anything about it. It's just overwhelming to know that there are still people who ask how are we or how our day went without hidden agendas. The feeling of they just want to check up on us and know if we are doing well in our life. Promise, cross my heart it is the most overpowering words you can ever receive and give to someone. Because whether admit it or not, not all people will lend their time to check on us. Only people who truly care and are concerned dare to ask. That's why appreciate those people who say "kumusta ka?" out of nowhere. It is good to know that there are people in our lives who care and are concerned about our existence. Also thank God because he is using someone as an instrument to feel that we are not alone in our battle. Sometimes we just want someone to ask us that question rather than hearing our family or friends' hundred-dollar piece of advice. Everything Comes up With a Price For the past 2 years, I was able to save a lot of people from their saddening fate, from their death. I am not a superhero nor a superhuman that has a mission to save lives every single time, I am just a simple girl that lives her peaceful life along with her parents. I don't know where this ability of mine came from, is it a gift from above? Is it a blessing in disguise? Am I the chosen one? Why do I need to foresee the things that will happen in the people's future? Why do I keep seeing their death? My parents once told me that it was a unique blessing from above that I should be thankful for, but for me, it is a curse. I remember the time when I was 16, it is the first time that I dreamt about the death of someone...my very own grandfather. It is just like I'm a speculator in my dream, silently watching the series of events that will happen. I can't move and I can't speak, all I can do is watch. In that dream, I saw my grandfather going back home to us when suddenly a thief forcefully pulled his purse. Knowing my grandfather, he will not give it until he put a fight not knowing that the thief is equipped with a knife. I woke up breathless, trembling, and terrified at that time. The first thing that comes up to my mind is to immediately tell my mom. She told me that it was just a nightmare, that it is not real, and is impossible to happen. But the news about the death of my grandfather happened on the following day. My parents and I can't believe what happened in my dream come true. If I just believe in that dream, If I just manage to warn my grandfather. Maybe, just maybe he is still with us right now. I can't help but feel guilty, I regretted the day that I wasn't able to save him. I wasn't able to save my loved one. The dreams continue to haunt me every night to the point that I wasn't able to get proper sleep. I can see who, where, and how people will perish but I don't know when it will happen. It's like a movie that is playing on my mind every time I close my eyes. I can't help but ask. Why do I need to be the one who can see those happenings? I didn't ask for it, I didn't like it. For all the abilities that I can get, why this? Now that I am 18 years old, I still didn't get the explanation for my questions. I am still stuck, I'm still oblivious. The only thing that changed is my decision. I have decided to help those people in my dreams because I don't want them to withstand what my grandfather experienced. Even if I can't save them all, at least I have tried my best to save them. Trying is better than doing nothing, right? But yesterday night is different, I only have dreamed about the place and what will happen but the person who will die is currently unknown. Should I be thankful? Or should I be worried? That is the thing that I'm still figuring out as I walked into the main road after I shopped my groceries. But as I stepped into the pedestrian, a quick realization struck my mind. I am holding a pile of grocery items, I am on the pedestrian's main road, and lastly, I am in the place where the accident happened in my dream. *"Is it me who will die—"* I wasn't able to finish what I'm thinking because a 16 Wheeler truck crashed into my body. With my remaining breath, I still manage to say... ***For all the lives I manage to save, I don't know that my life will be the cost of the trade.*** CLOSING THOUGHTS I don't want also to have this kind of ability. Seeing death is the last thing that I would choose. I believe that only fate and God can take away the life he had given to His people and nobody can take it away aside from him. Doing Something is Better Than Waiting for Nothing Have you ever encountered or met someone who became rich in an instant because of waiting? Or perhaps a person who became successful without putting too much effort into everything they do? I guess no one and it sounds impossible, right? For us to achieve something, we must put an effort and take immediate action to get positive results. Successful people, businessmen, and entrepreneurs like Elon Musk who is known as a co-founder of Paypal and Tesla as well as the founder of SpaceX, and Mark Zuckerberg who's known for being a co-founder and CEO of Facebook do something in their lives that change their entire future. They are now both one of the wealthiest people in the world. They will not achieve what they have now if they just keep on waiting for something to happen without certainty. Of course, they encountered a lot of problems and failures because that is part of risk but do you think that stops them from continuing? The answer is no, that just served as their inspiration to move forward and motivation to start again. If you know the story of "Juan Tamad" or "Lazy John" in English translation, you will know what I'm trying to point out in this article. Juan is a character in the Philippines folklore that is well-known for being extremely lazy. Due to his laziness, even picking up ripe guava is too hard for him to do that's why he just lay underneath the guava tree, opens his mouth, and waits for it to fall. Remembering this story made me want to pinch Juan's ears until they turned bright red. The fruit is only one step away yet he still let his laziness eat his whole being. So what's the lesson you can get from this? Well for me, **if you want to achieve something then do something! Make it happen and don't wait for a long time thinking.** Waiting for a perfect time is necessary but if we will just focus on this, we will miss a lot of opportunities. A perfect example of this is a person who wants to earn passive income on this platform yet doesn't want to write an original piece because it's not his/her cup of tea. See that? If you want to grow on this platform, you must do something to be successful. Don't give a lot of excuses to yourself instead give a lot of reasons to pursue, thrive, and continue. Those users who have plenty of subscribers, upvotes, and views do their best already that's why they were able to fulfill their desires. CLOSING THOUGHTS Each one of us starts from zero. Sala-March Looking back on the previous month which is March gave me an overview of my achievements that I didn't expect to achieve. I didn't set any goals for myself, on what things should I want to achieve, and how much earnings should I expect to accumulate. I just keep on writing and writing whenever I have my free time or whenever ideas suddenly popped up in my mind. That is because I don't want to be disappointed with myself in the end if I'm not able to accomplish the objectives that I establish. **High expectations lead to high disappointment, am I right?** But keep in mind that not all individuals are the same. Some people set objectives for themselves for them to have inspiration and motivation to achieve their monthly goals. That will be their blazing torch to continue and get away from laziness. **Setting a purpose can be a great help to boost ourselves and increase enthusiasm.** The month of March is indeed a memorable month for me. Is it Time for you to Cut Ties? Our friends in elementary, high school, and college may change in the future. We may be friends in the past or the present, but we can't guarantee that we are still friends with them in the future. Everything can turn upside down and our connection to our friends can fall apart because of changing attitudes, beliefs, values, dreams, and goals caused by different environments and people that surround us. It's really hard to cut our ties to someone who became a part of our lives. No matter if it is our family, relatives, and even closest companions. But even though it's hard we should know when to leave the table and cut our ties if there are clear signs of red flags and toxicity. Here are some of the signs to know if it's the right time to cut your ties with your friends... They Aren't There for You It is normal for our friends to be unavailable sometimes because their world is not only circulating on us but if they are unavailable every time you needed them, then maybe something is wrong. Imagine, if they need someone to talk about their rants or problems in life you are always there to listen to them. But whenever you're the one who is asking for someone to listen, none of them care to reach out to you. In friendships, give and take is one of the important components of having a healthy relationship. It's not good that only one person puts in too much effort, everyone should also play their part. Our Professions, Our Future In my previous articles, I introduced to you my friends and described their characteristics. I showed our differences when it comes to our beliefs, religions, values, qualities, attitudes, and personalities. And that doesn't hinder us to rec we reconcile and befriend each other despite our discrepancies. Right now, I want to share with you the courses we are taking in college that we believe is the one for us in the future. So basically, I am about to share a glimpse of us while we are in the process of being professional. Without prolonging this introduction, let me share with you what we've got! BESHY - OUR FUTURE HISTORY EDUCATOR/HISTORIAN He is taking BA in History. When we are in high school years, he is so fond in the subject of 'Araling Panlipunan' wherein it tackles about different histories, cultures, ideologies, and geographies of different nations all over the world. This is where he excels the most, our teachers adore him too since he has advanced knowledge. He has this vibe of being a historian in the future. Whenever we ask him about a certain topic or issue that is connected to history and the government he's always ready to share his knowledge and position about it. What a brainy guy, right? MARCO & GOLD - OUR FUTURE ENGLISH EDUCATORS Remember this friend of mine? Who are the fashionista and the beauty and the brain in our circle? They are taking a BSED in English. Even though they have the same course, they differ in the school they attend. Despite that, I am proud of them because they are excelling in the path they are taking. Being an educator is not their first choice but it's on their list. Some circumstances made them choose to be one but I'm glad that they are starting to enjoy and love it. In addition, I and our friends are so excited to see them wearing a teacher uniform! I bet that they look good wearing that! DANNY - OUR FUTURE PSYCHOLOGIST She is taking BA in Psychology in our province but this is not her first choice. She wants to pursue Architecture but due to some reasons, she chooses to be in that course. She admits to us that she is quite sad about it but seeing her now? She is happy and enjoying it so much. She also became one of the Deans Lister in their School! Which is a great and big achievement for her. We are joking with her that she can now read our minds and actions since she is a psychologist in the making 😂 You know that some people tend to think in that way just because you are pursuing to be a psychologist. Lol. CANG - OUR FUTURE FINANCIAL MANAGER She is taking BSBA in Financial Management wherein she is capable of managing the finances, financial statements, and other financial information. I know that she will pursue this one or any course connected to finances since she graduated as an ABM student in senior high. Being with her, I can say that she is good at budgeting and handling our money. She's commonly the one who is in charge of handling the tasks when money is involved in our circle. I will say to you that she is smart and wise enough. You can't fool her when money is involved 🤣 YANG - OUR FUTURE CIVIL ENGINEER I had mentioned before that she is the artistic type of person in our group that's why choosing this as her profession is expected. She is good at drawing, she is curious about how different buildings are built and what structures and raw materials are needed to build a strong infrastructure. Since she wants to satisfy her curiosity, she chose to pursue Civil Engineering and I can say that they both fit well. We are telling her that once she became a licensed Engineer in the country, we will contract her to be our Engineer in building our homes. Maj - Our Future Nurse She is taking a BS in Nursing because she wants to manage the health of her parents and loved ones. Since she is a nursing student, she already contracted us (her friends) to be her lab subjects or volunteers in her practical activities. And those activities include getting our blood, urine, and other specimens. See that? One of the things I hate the most is injections! I don't have a phobia about it, I just don't like the pain caused by it. ME - Our Future Computer Scientist / Software Engineer Since I love science and technology so much I decided to pursue a BS in Computer Science. One of the reasons why I chose it is because our world is adapting the modern technology at a very fast pace, I see a lot of potential in this course, and because of that, it will open a lot of career opportunities in the future. Random Questions: Random Answers My mind is cloudy today so I decided to browse for random questions to be answered and I found this one. I just selected a few questions. If you could be any animal, what would it be and why? From when I was a child until now, I always dreamed to be a bird. More specifically, an eagle. I love the fact that birds can freely fly into the sky enjoying their freedom, breathing fresh air while traveling to different places around the world. Unexpected Text Message Just like the usual things I do in the morning, I was awakened by the loud sound of the alarm clock coming from my phone. Ughhh it is 6:00 am again, another day means another day to slay. It is my wake-up call to do my daily tasks as a responsible family member. Without minding washing my face and gargling some water to spill some dried holy water in my mouth, I went directly to our backyard to wash rice and cook it on our wood-powered stove. While waiting for the rice to cook, I get the broomstick and start sweeping the dusty floor. I didn't only sweep the dust but also the dead flying cockroaches last night. Am I the only one who hates cockroaches? Especially the cockroaches who fly? Hooo, I still get goosebumps imagining them crawling to my skin, it makes me cringe so much. But I smiled with satisfaction on my face because I manage to kill them using my amazing slippers. After sweeping the floor, I proceed to clean the kitchen and dishwashing area. This is my favorite part of cleaning tasks. Since it was tiled, it became easier for me to clean the dirt and some stains caused by cooking dishes. The rice has been cooked around 7:00 a.m, I finished cleaning at 7:30 a.m. It was a bit tiring but it became a part of my daily routine, and it's not only that, it is my other form of natural exercise! Since we do have an excess viand last night which is 'Paksiw na Isda' or a 'Fish cooked with vinegar', I decided to heat it. After doing it, I wake up my sleepyhead siblings for us to eat breakfast. Around 9:00 in the morning, my cousin came to our house. I remembered that my father asked him to weld and grind the unfinished stairs on our vacant home. I guided him in there and bring the materials, tools, and equipment he needs for the task. I became his handyman for a while, I helped him hold the things he need to weld. I planned to help him out throughout the process but ***an unexpected message*** pop up on my phone. I thought that it was just from globe or smart, encouraging me to buy their latest promos but to my shock, it is from the scholarship program that my friend referred me to. The message contains this... *" Good a.m Khairro, this is from the scholarship program you applied for. You are scheduled to take the Scholarship Test on* ***March 25 Friday at 10 a.m*** *at the main office located at this <address>. Confirm and bring your ballpen. Thanks!"* I receive it at exactly 9:41 a.m. Imagine my shock when I receive this? I panicked! Who wouldn't if they just found out that today is the day of the examination wherein there are 19 minutes left before they start, right? Later on, I received a message on our group chat that Yang, my friend also received the same message. She told me that she also panicked at that moment 😂 Since we want to confirm if that's the only schedule available, Yang called the number, and luckily the person behind it said that we can still come before 11 a.m. That gives us hope to grab the scholarship opportunity. I didn't manage to take a bath. I immediately change my clothes, wear my shoes, packed my bag, put on some baby powder, and spray cologne all over my body to hide the fact that I didn't take a shower 🙃 After that I went to Yang's house since she said that her brother will give us a ride. Imagine my relief hearing that? Lol. I waited for Yang for how many minutes then after that we immediately blasted off. It takes us approximately 15 minutes before we arrive at the location. We arrived at 11:08 am, a little bit late. Better be late than absent. Once we entered the building, a middle-aged woman approach us and confirm if we are the last two students who will take the exam. After confirming, she gave us the examination papers and explain the rules needed before starting. We started the exam at 11:20 and ended after an hour. I am glad that we were able to answer the 50 item questions. It is composed of, English, Grammar, Spelling, Mathematics, Vocabulary, and a little bit of ICT. With that, my day full of surprise has been finally finished. CLOSING THOUGHTS The staff explained and apologized to us that she forgot to send the message causing a surprise to our schedules. We understand that since the mistake is inevitable and can happen at any time. The staff is at her middle age and she is good to us as well as other staffs. She had a very calm and soothing voice that gives us that grandma vibes resulting in us feeling less pressured. When it comes to the test, I am confident with my answer and essays. Advantages of Being Single **Less Financial Stress and More Financial Freedom** Being single means more freedom from managing finances. You don't have to worry about bringing your partner to date, buying gifts like flowers, chocolates, and teddy bears, or perhaps preparing a surprise for the celebration of your daysarry, weeksary, monthsary, and anniversary. See that? You can save a lot of bucks by being single alone 😂 What if put the money you earn into an investment, build a small business, or spend it on yourself for you to enjoy? That's more convincing, right? In that way, you will earn more profit. More profit means more financial freedom, more financial freedom means less stress. I encountered a lot of people who commit to a relationship but are not yet financially ready. They don't have stable jobs, they don't have any source of income, and they are still dependent on their parents. There is no problem with committing yourself to a romantic relationship, but make sure that you can provide and don't let your parents be your source of money. ***'Wag kang magjowa kung wala kang pera',*** as simple as that. **You can do whatever you want without restrictions** We all know that being in a relationship means we are giving them the power and rights to restrict us from doing things they didn't like. Not from being manipulative or controlling but restricting us from overdoing some things that have the potential to cause us harm. But you know what? Not all relationships are equally the same. Some people restrict their partners too much causing an imbalance and problems in a relationship. Unlike being a single individual, you have full control over your time and life. Restrictions and limitations are made by yourself and not by anybody else. **More time for making yourself better** Since you don't have a partner to worry about, this just means that the only thing that you will worry about is yourself. That is not a bad thing tho, it is a good thing for us single individuals. Enjoying our 'Me' time can make us know ourselves better, on what things should we eliminate, things we need to improve, and things we need to change. No one can know you better instead of yourself. While waiting for the right person to come what if we focus on improving ourselves first? On loving ourselves by embracing our flaws and shortcomings? That would be so much better, right? People Come and Go Do you believe in the saying that the people around us will eventually go someday? Our family, our friends, and even all of our loved ones will leave us behind in the future. Even if we want those people to stay on our side, time and fate will separate us apart. Maybe that is the reason why some people don't believe in the idea of forever because they know that everything is not permanent, that forever doesn't exist, and is impossible to happen. Remember the time when that person promised not to leave you but chose to abandon you and be with someone else? Ouch! Pain, right? How about your friends in elementary, high school, and college? Do you still communicate and bond with them? Or all of you turned to strangers again? See now? Nothing is permanent, everything changes. They are on our side today but how about tomorrow? How about next week? Month? Year? And the following years? Are you sure that they will stay? Then, how long? I still remember when I was just in elementary, a kid to be specific. I am the type of kid who wants to go outside every time just to play with other kids. I used to play Tumbang Preso/ Tumbang Lata, Patintero, Sili-sili, Bente-Bente, Captain Block 1,2, and 3, and many more to mention that completes my childhood experiences, but if you will ask me what do I do now? Well, I am not the same child I used to be before. I changed, I became a *'taong bahay'* or a person who doesn't like to go outside anymore just to play. My close friends back then turned out to be strangers today, some are now working, some are pursuing their paths and dreams, while some already have a family. Just the same with my elementary classmates, we used to be close before but as we grow up everything has changed. If we are seeing each other in different places, we just walked passed each other or perhaps just give a nod and smiled, we will not ask how both of us have been for a long time or take some time to have a little conversation. It's just like the past connection has been long gone as the years pass by. But maybe that is the true essence of life, we will meet a lot of different people in our lives but that doesn't mean they are there to stay. Some are just there to leave a mark on our minds, scars in our hearts, and lessons in our lives. I have read a great quote saying..."You're not growing if you are not losing friends." This is indeed true, if we lose something then for sure we will learn something. And that is lessons in life that are useful in the future. Introducing My Friends • Marco — The FASHIONISTA 🧥🧦 Among all of us, Marco is the one who has great taste when it comes to fashion. Well, all of us have a taste but he is different. Whenever we have some gatherings or bondings even in house to house visits, we already expected that his attire will be more extravagant. Nonetheless, we all find his taste in fashion so good. He knows what to wear and he is confident wearing it which adds to his attractiveness and charm. He's the kind of person who loves taking care of himself physically, mentally and other aspects of mentality. He makes sure that he smells good and he looks neat and nice to satisfy himself, in short, he loves taking care of himself. That is the thing that I admired about him, he wears what he wants to wear not minding the people around him. The lesson that I've learned from him is that...***"If you want to be more confident about yourself then you should start loving yourself. It must start with you and not from others. Once you mastered the art of self-love, you will be eventually more confident. "*** • Beshy — The COOL BOY 😎 This friend of mine loves to explore and try new things. He loves adventure, travel, and making cool stuff. When I said cool stuff, what I mean is he likes to make different kinds of weapons such as arrows and bows, handmade guns, knives, and swords. It's cool, right? If I'm not mistaken he is a fan of Assassins Creed movies and games that is why he became interested in making that item. I still remember when we were in high school, whenever he went into the class in the morning he has a carry bag that contains items that can protect him. I am amazed that he was able to bring those items without guards noticing them. If they do, then the guidance office will say hello to him 😂 • Yang — The ARTIST 🎨🖌️ She is a prim, proper, artistic, and introverted type of person. She is good at drawing and singing which made me adore her. Since she is good at drawing, she takes the Civil Engineering course in college which is her long-time dream when we were in high school. I still remember the time when they performed as a band in our school during intramural, they are so good and so talented which made us proud of her. As introverted people, it is hard for us to perform on a stage full of crowds because it drains our social energy easily. That's why her performance at that stage is already a big achievement for her. • Danny — The SACRED ✝️📖 She is the type of person who prioritizes God so much and lives with his words. She is a good woman with no bad habits that's why she is a good influence on us. When we have gatherings or bondings, she won't forget to remind us to pray first before eating or something. She is living her life with a purpose to serve and at the same time she didn't forget to enjoy her life. What I learned about her is that...***"Whatever we do or wherever we go, we should ask for guidance from Him because He is the only one who knows everything"*** • Cang — The STRAIGHTFORWARD 🤭 A circle of friends is not complete without a straightforward one. But even though she has that kind of personality we still love her. We love that kind of personality. Aside from that, she is also a slowpoke in our group. You know the feeling of telling a joke but she will get it after some time? She's that kind of person lol 😆 • Maj — The STRICT MAMA 👩 Most of us are older than her but despite her age and height, she still manages to act as our strict mother. She is caring and clingy but strict at the same time. She is the kind of person who is full of wisdom, mature, and responsible with her actions. If we have problems, she is just one call away, ready to listen and ready to advise if it's necessary. • Gold — The BEAUTY AND THE BRAIN 🧠 We are all beautiful and handsome, it's just that I don't have anything to label her 😂 But anyway, she is indeed beautiful, smart, responsible, and a follower of Christ. She belongs to youth members which share the word of God with the children. She is also the first one to have a romantic relationship among us but eventually broke up for some reason. Fairy Skin Sunscreen: A Product Review Hi! Welcome to my read cash channel wherein I'm going to review a product exclusively just for you! On the 15th day of March 2022 which is a payday sale event for most online selling platforms such as Lazada, I've decided to purchase sunscreen on the official store of Fairy Skin in Shopee. Since my last sunscreen has been already consumed, I thought of buying a new one in a different brand. A new brand and a new product mean a new experience, right? Of course, I am right! I was so excited to try it on my skin that's why without a second thought, I checked it out. And after 2 days of waiting, J&T texted me that my order will be delivered on that day. I was able to receive my parcel around 3:51 in the afternoon and I realized that the delivery time is quite faster than usual which I am thankful for. After sharing the good news on my noise cash account, I hurriedly unpack the parcel to check if the sunscreen is in there or it turned into a stone char 🤣 Gladly, the sunscreen is in there and still breathing. This is my third day using this sunscreen and I can say that it is good. Its texture is smooth when it is applied to the face, it is watery, and it can be easily blended into the skin. Don't get me wrong okay? The odor is not bad, it is just a natural fragrance of sunscreens because it doesn't have any special sweet aromas. No White cast ✅ Not Greasy ✅ Natural Fragrance ✅ Smooth Texture ✅ WILL YOU RECOMMEND THIS SUNSCREEN TO OTHERS? Definitely! From its price which is 190 pesos each (3.62 USD), I can say that it is worth the money. It has an SPF 50 which guarantees you that you are overall protected, it also contains anti-aging, moisturizing, soothing, and whitening ingredients that are beneficial for our skin. I know that maybe I am recommending it too soon but I am basing it on my own experience. If I encounter other things in this product in the future, I will surely update you guys. Overall Rating — 9/10 CLOSING THOUGHTS Sunscreen is a must in a skincare routine. Without this product, we will not be able to be protected from the harmful rays of the sun. Chika Minute! Last week I saw a post regarding the part two scholarship application program for college students on our city mayor's FB page. Sadly, I wasn't able to apply since I lately saw the post but I became one of their scholars last month of January. It just needs simple requirements like a certificate of enrollment, a photocopy of the latest school ID, and a letter of intent then voila! You are now automatically considered as a scholar. No examination and interview are needed as long as you passed the required documents and you are living within the city. The amount of cash assistance is not big compared to others but it is a great help for students like us, especially for those students who have a lot of payments to do. So going back, since I wasn't able to pass the requirements, I am hundred percent sure that my name will not be included in the list once they release the result. But yesterday night around 9 pm as I was scrolling through my Facebook timeline, I came across their post regarding the list of names who can receive cash aid on March 18, 2022, which is the date today. At first, I thought not to check it since I didn't pass any requirements and I am automatically 'ligwak' but I have this feeling inside me and instinct to check if my name is still included, so I did. Upon checking, I am shocked to see my name on the list 🤯 My mind cannot process and the first thing that came to my mind is that...***"Is it a blessing from above? Is this a miracle? Is this a joke or a prank? Is this a coincidence?"*** But I can see my name so I know that it is true. I feel so glad, excited, and blessed that night to the point that I told my father about it. I said... ***"Panis ka pa, kasama ako sa list ng makakatanggap ng cash aid kay mayor kahit wala akong pinasang requirements, Instant money pa!"*** with a matching joyous laugh 🤣 Who am I to complain that I am included in the list even though I didn't pass any requirements, right? But as I celebrate, the post that contains the list of passers has been deleted around 10 pm. They said that they will update the list of names since there are a lot of people who are complaining that their names weren't found on the list even though they follow the instructions. Earlier this morning, they posted the updated list of names, and upon checking again I didn't find my name na on the list 🤣 which made me a little bit sad but I understand. This incident leads me to a realization and suspicion that... **They are not properly evaluating and checking the documents passed to them**. —They released the wrong list of passers which make people question the results. We all know that requirements are needed for a reason and that is the thing they failed to do so. I am both happy and sad at the same time. Happy because the students who followed the instructions are now included in the list and sad naman because I will not be able to receive easy money 😭 AHAHAHA. Especially today when students are in the online classroom setup and workers preferred working at home due to the pandemic. Wherever you go and whatever you do, people who are using different kinds of gadgets are present. But how can you say that the gadget you are using is the most suitable for your needs? Is the right choice for you? What are the things you consider before you purchase that product? I know that each one of us conducts research first before purchasing something and we are putting a lot of consideration into our minds. We are matchmaking our needs to the specifications of gadgets that we are going to buy to come up with the best decision. In my own experience, before I purchased my phone and laptop I consider the specifications first and that includes: RAM (Random Access Memory) This is the memory installed in our devices capable of running and storing information as we run different software or applications. Before starting the school year, I was able to buy a laptop that has 8GB of RAM capacity. Since I am not into heavy games naman this amount of storage is fine with my needs. I just installed different school stuff such as MSTeams, Microsoft Packages, and editor that is commonly used by students like me. 8GB of RAM is big already what more if it's 16 and up, right? If you are a gamer then I suggest you buy a higher RAM capacity. The higher the RAM, the smoother it will get, it just depends on your needs. Camera If you are an aspiring photographer or you are into photography then I suggest you buy a smartphone that has great camera pixels. When I bought my smartphone, the first thing that I consider is the camera quality. Since I love taking pictures not just of myself but of the natural beauty of the environment, I chose the one that has 64 camera pixels. So far, I can say that the image is good until now so I don't have any regrets. Internal Storage Capacity Since I love taking photographs, I also consider the storage capacity of my phone. Choosing large storage is a must for me since I can use it for storing large-size files, documents for schools, music, and videos. Remember that the higher the quality of your camera or the larger the file size you will install on your devices requires higher storage capacity. My phone has 64 GB of internal storage which I find small pa while my laptop has 256 GB of internal storage. Budget Of course, you can't buy the gadgets that you want if you don't consider your budget. That's why It is important to conduct research first before buying anything. High-quality specifications mean that it has an expensive price. A World Full of Cruelty I am having thoughts in my mind. Is there any place in this world wherein human cruelty does not exist? Wherein peace and orderliness in the society are an utmost priority? I bet there's nothing, that is unbelievable because as we can see, the world we are living in today is composed of mankind that is fueled by hatred, racism, sexism, prejudices, and people who are hungry for power. Just like the current situation this past few weeks about the war in certain countries and the increasing crime rate in our society. That just proves how the cruelty of people can potentially eradicate mankind. Talking about crime and cruelty, yesterday I saw the news circulating in my Facebook timeline that was shared by our community and my friends about the missing teenage boy who suddenly disappeared in the middle of the night and was found dead the following day. The boy is a working student probably the same as my age and has a dream to achieve in the future and goal to help his family but just destroyed by individuals who commit the crime. Sad to say, the suspects are just teenagers. Yes, you read it right the suspects are just 'TEENAGERS'! It is so heartbreaking to know that at that age, they can already kill someone innocent, that someone can destroy someone's dreams and family. Do they still have a conscience after what they did? Do they even feel guilty for the crime they commit? I hope so, I really hope so. Everybody can commit a crime regardless of their age. That's why sometimes I support the death penalty in our country but I know that it is impossible right now because of the government and poor justice system that we have. People in today's generation young or old have no fear to commit murders, rape, and other bad deeds because they know that they can only go to jail, and being sentenced to death is prohibited. Do you now see how cruel and messy our world is? It sucks right? But what can we do? It's part of humankind, it's human nature. But even though some people in the world are cruel I still believe that each one of us is born innocent, some are just born in an unjust family, society, and environment that makes people cruel. Final Thoughts I just want to give some advice to everyone before I end this article. Face-to-face Preparation: What Do I Need to Prepare? Am I too obvious that I'm excited to go back to our normal education system? Wherein face-to-face face classes are held in the four corner classroom, students are roaming freely in the school campus, and teachers are having a lively discussion? Well, who wouldn't right? Just the thought of it makes my insides crumble from excitement and satisfaction. I admit that I'm too exhausted in an online classroom setup and I know that students like me feel it too. The feeling of exhaustion doubles, the stress from schoolwork and deadlines triples, and the motivations that we keep telling ourselves are slowly depleting. It's not that I don't learn a single thing from this kind of setup but I find this learning system draining my system. That's why the thought of having physical classes gave me hope to learn more things as a college student. But what are the preparations or things that I need to know before participating in physical classes next school year? Well, let's find out! Apartment Rental Since I am enrolled and studying in Manila and I am living in the province, it just means that I need to include the apartment rental in my preparation. I know that there are five more months to go before the next school year but the earlier I inquire the better. I decided to rent an apartment instead of renting a dorm since my friends are also living with me. We talked about this before and we all come up with this decision. In addition, I think the dorm owners prohibit students from cooking inside the house for some reasons that's why an apartment is a great choice *(correct me if I'm wrong please, thank you!).* Renting an apartment also saves us time from back-to-back travel, travel from school then travel back home. I also believe that through this, I will be able to be more independent and I will be able to acquire lessons and insights while I am separated from my parents. I am thinking to use my saved earnings on this platform to be used from my future expenses when face-to-face classes will be implemented. In that way, I will be able to help my parents with payments and expenditures. Clothes I have a lot of old clothes in my closet and I can proudly say that I can use them until today. Some clothes were given by my older brother and some came from my own money. I am thinking to buy additional clothes from an online store or even buy from a thrift store to save money because I already gave most of my clothes to my younger brother. I will use it every day in school since we don't have school uniform if I'm not mistaken so additional clothes is a must for me. I already bought some in shopee but I need to buy some again. That's why I have clothes in my cart ready for check-out purposes 🤣 Don't you worry, I am using my funds that came from survey applications so no problem! Myself Of course, I need to prepare myself! I need to prepare my body, health, mindset, pocket, fear, doubts, and many more because college is the final ground for college students so wish me luck 😂 This will be my first time to be away from my parents in able to achieve my goals and fulfill my future. I am hundred percent sure that there will be a lot of challenges, problems, and uncertainties waiting for me/us but that things are great recipes for us to be successful in the future. There will be puyat days because of research and thesis so I needed to bawi bawi my sleep starting today hehe 😂 Along with those stressors, I should also prepare myself for different kinds of environments and experiences. I will not forget to enjoy while I am studying! How's my Morning Routine? I know that all of us have different sets of morning routines. Some prefer to jog in the morning as a form of daily exercise, some are busy cooking for their breakfast, some are busy cleaning their house, while some people don't want to leave their bed early in the morning because they are still sleepy. As for me, my daily morning routine is composed of simple things. And this includes... Waking up every 6:00 in the morning I started to practice this in the last week of January as part of my New Year's resolution and a start of a change in myself. Waking up every day at that time is indeed tough, I experienced being so sleepy but I manage to stand up to achieve the goal that I set for myself. How did I manage to do this? Well, I set an alarm on my phone at exactly 6:00 in the morning as my wake-up call with a maximum volume. But you know there are times that I am waking up before the alarm rings? Maybe for over 2 months of waking up early, my body clock adapts to this kind of change. It is somewhat cool! Cooking Breakfast As I woke up, the very first thing on my list is to wash the rice and cook it on our stove which uses wood. We have a gas stove but using excess woods as an alternative is a great choice to save money and gasoline. We all know that Gas price is increasing due to some reasons we know about. While waiting for the rice to cook, I will start to cook our viand for breakfast while my parents and siblings are still in their wonderful sleep. Multitasking every morning is a great way to finish your tasks. The earlier you finish the better. Cleaning Once I finished the cooking, I will proceed now to cleaning 🤣 I will find the broom and rag to start sweeping the kitchen, living, and dining area. After that, I will mop the floor to keep it clean and shiny. I also arrange things and clean the dust on the furniture until I am satisfied. The feeling of cleaning alone in a quiet environment is amazing! That's why I'm taking advantage to clean everything while my family is still asleep. Morning Skincare and other Personal Things After doing all of the activities I mentioned above, it is my time to take care of myself. I will start to wash my face using a soap cleanser, then apply a Niacinamide serum followed by a moisturizer. After that I will brush my teeth before eating and put a baby powder on my face to look fresh from the shower 😂 And I'm done! My daily morning routine is now finished! Yay! Today, I Turned 19 Time flies so fast, I still remember the day when I am still swimming in the path of darkness until I met the egg of life that results in my fertilization. The process continues to happen for long months until I became the baby in my mother's womb. Due to boredom and tight space, I remembered that I sing a lullaby for myself to sleep peacefully and even dance hip-hop with matching tumbling, vertical, and split. I am glad that my mother was able to carry a very naughty baby in her womb for nine executive months. And after a long wait, on March 10, 2003, my peaceful sleep was disturbed. I feel like I am being pushed by a certain force and pulled by someone at the same time. I heard the midwife saying *'Push, push, push'* to my mother with matching *'Push mo yan the* background music for motivation purposes. I didn't bother to kick who pulled me but as she did successfully, I let my very beautiful cry be heard by many people in the world causing the birds to tweet, the ocean to produce large waves, the earthquake to shake the sleeping souls of many, and the volcano to erupt due to my hotness charr. Have you heard me cry on that date? Oww maybe not but anyway that's how my life started in this joyful yet cruel world. Have you enjoyed reading my birth cycle? I know you did don't lie. Just kidding, I just want to express myself today and my imaginative ideas. Celebrating my birthday has been a very special day for me but as I grow up? I came to realize that it is okay to consider it as my normal day. I don't know why birthdays don't excite me anymore, maybe because the truth slaps me so hard that I am getting old day by day. I am indeed happy today, just exclude the fact that I am already 19 years old! Ughhh just 1 more year and my age will be out in the teenage years 😭 I don't want to get old easily but what can I do? That's life, and our fate is to grow up, be old, then vanish when the right time comes. Enough of the drama, let's focus on what happened on my birthday today! Actually, in our circle, 3 of us are celebrating birthdays in March. March 3, 7, and 10. Since each one of us is busy in college we have decided to celebrate our birthdays at once and this day is the chosen day for our celebration. We bought some food in the market like Pizza, crackers, ice cream, breads, juice and Jollibee chicken bucket for lunch. We are not complete today because of certain reasons but we manage to celebrate it despite of the circumstances. Just like any other birthdays, we eat lunch while watching some movie on Netflix and after that we waited for the snack time to eat the other foods that we bought earlier. I am still on my friends house and we are currently playing Tekken on his PS4 and so far we are enjoying it. So what are my wishes this year? It's just a simple wish but it's the most important for me. What are my wishes this year? Good Health and Long Life for Myself and my Family This is the wish I'm wishing for every day. I am hoping that the Almighty above will give me more time to help my family in the future. May he give us good health, especially my parents that are slowly growing old day by day. May he give us protection all the time for us to be safe from accidents and tragedy. End of the Pandemic Cases are slowly decreasing and I hope that this is the sign that the pandemic will end soon. I am looking forward to the economy growing again, face-to-face classes being implemented, and safety gear like face masks and face shields being disposed of. I am excited to be back to my normal life again without worrying about the virus outside. Uno cutie! Grades for the first semester will be released soon and I am hoping to get some 1.00 in my grade. End of the First Semester, Start of a New The first semester is finally closing its doors to us and a new one will be soon to open. I am glad that I was able to surpass my first semester of being a freshmen college student even though I experienced many difficulties and challenges in today's learning setup. It was indeed hard, challenging, and somewhat new to me but I can say that I enjoyed the things and knowledge I acquired during that period. To summarize it all, I prepared some questions about my experience in the first semester. How are you in the first semester? I am still good and alive at first but eventually get shocked and died afterward hehe. Loads of work from different professors are no joke which I already expected. They are a lot! I am not ranting here okay? I'm just sharing my horrible experience charr. Honestly speaking, the first thing that comes to my mind this sem is college is completely different from my past school years. I am in a new environment which I need to take seriously. Luckily in that period, I was able to get along and know my classmates well. We have different personalities, likes, and hobbies but that doesn't hinder us to help each other when it comes to academics. If someone has some confusion about the topic, our classmates are going to conduct a tutorial for us to get that topic which I eventually love about my section. Difficult subject for you I'm fine with all of the subjects but if I'm going to choose, I think Mathematics in the Modern World and Politics are the difficult subject areas. For me, the subject is not the main problem but the professor who is teaching that particular subject. Some teachers are not that good at explaining things that's why we need to study them again by ourselves. In politics, I am shocked that most of the activities are in essay form that requires proper citations and references. I think in the first semester we did seven (7) essays. It is quite tough but I was able to enjoy it too. The easiest subject that you enjoyed Purposive Communication! In this subject, I was able to grasp the things I needed to learn easily. I enjoyed the play we had because I was able to express myself and my naughtiness 🙈 The way my professor teach her lessons and handle us is something that I like. She is easy to bond with that's why I favored her subject. Struggle that you experienced In an online setup, poor internet connection is my main struggle as well as the noisy environment. There are times that I wasn't able to get the lesson and get the test because of poor internet connection. I am glad that face-to-face classes will be possible at my school next school year. I will experience the true life of a college student. Kaya pa or Suko na? Suko na ano ba kayo AHAHAHA charot. Kaya pa naman 😭 Habang may life may pag-asa. I am just starting to build and achieve my dreams, ngayon pa ba ako/tayo susuko kung kailan malapit na tayo? Even if studying is hard, we should always remember that it is just a step for us to achieve what we truly desire. Kaya kapit lang ng mahigpit kapamilya, kapatid at kapuso. Things you Should Remember After Break up We are not always the kid we used to be in the past. We will grow up, we will mature, we will realize things, we will make friends, we will lose friends, we will fall in love, and even we will experience heartbreak. That is life, that is the natural cycle of living. Some of you may be confused about why I come up with this topic today even if I don't have any experience when it comes to love. I have never been in the situation of being in love as well as being in a painful heartbreak. So why wrote this? Even if I didn't experience it 'yet', I have friends who were in this situation and I saw how love makes them happy and sad at the same time. In addition, I want people here to realize the things you shouldn't or shouldn't consider doing after you have been separated from your short or long-term partner. Don't Post or Shae Negative Posts on social media about your ex just to seek validation and sympathy from others I know someone who did this after being in a separation. He often shared a lot of negative posts on his social media accounts about his ex. I don't know if that is his coping mechanism to move forward but I can see that he is making fun of it like being in a relationship with that person is a kind of a joke. We should always be mindful of the things we are sharing on social media, according to a well-known quote*"Think before you click".* Before posting, know what is your purpose. If your purpose is just to embarrass the person publicly or seek sympathy from others who don't know the whole story, then don't do it. People tend to say something bad even if they don't know the true reason behind the separation. Don't make any assumptions about the reason behind the separation I didn't expect to be involved in their breakup. I was suspected that I am the reason for their separation as well as the circle of friends that my girl friend belongs to. He has some posts about me which tell a message indirectly. The message is like this... *"Akala ko boy best friend lang talaga"* *"Jowa mo tinropa ng kaibigan mo"* As you can see he is making his assumptions without confronting the person which can add to the confusion. If you have any issues or questions in your mind, it is better to ask the person frankly and directly. Assumptions can lead to misinformation. What happened in your relationship should be kept private What happened in the relationship should stay inside the relationship. Experiencing a breakup doesn't give you a right to expose the things you two did or the secrets you had shared. If you still respect the person, you will not do it for your revenge and satisfaction. Exposing the secrets you know about the person doesn't excuse you to be a bad person. That kind of act doesn't make you cool too, you are just proving to everyone that you are not worthy to trust. Mr. Bean Wants us to Know that... I was scrolling down my Tiktok account while thinking of a topic to write about today since it's the start of a new month which is March when I saw the post regarding the lessons that Mr. Bean gave to its viewers. So I decided to make it a topic for today. I know that most of you are familiar with the character of Mr. Bean, it is one of my favorite cartoons until now. At first, I thought that it is just a cartoon without meaning and lessons but I was wrong. As I grow up, I was able to grasp the lessons it wants to convey and these are the things I want to share with you. It's okay to be different from others. Mr. Bean is the type of guy who speaks less but does more actions. The way he speaks, the way he moves, and the way he solves his problems are all different from others. He doesn't care what people might say because for him it's okay to be unique and different. We are all born differently and that is fine. Some people are afraid and worried to be different because they think that society and its people won't accept them, that is why some are trying to change themselves to fit in the society. Well, you know what, being unique without trying to blend in is a good thing! It just proves that you are not just a follower but you are the master who is in charge of your life so be proud and embrace your uniqueness. Happiness is a choice As I can observe, Mr. Bean is so unproblematic. Whatever he does and whatever results he received from his actions, he still chooses to be happy. In our life, we can't control the problems or challenges that might block our way but we are in control of how we are going to handle and react to them. We have the freedom and the ability to choose to be happy despite the events that can happen in the future, and by choosing to be positive and happy? we can surpass any challenges with a smile on our faces. *Remember that happiness is a choice and not an option.* Always be kind to others Me. Bean acts differently but he chooses to be kind to others despite other people's thoughts and opinions about him. How we treat other people is the reflection of our inner soul. It is not just our character and values but it is our representation of good humanity. Being kind can make the world a happier place, can influence other people to do good deeds, and bring optimism and peace. However, even though we have to be kind, know that every person has their limitation. A string of patience that once consumed up, will explode. Enjoy your own company Teddy (a bear toy) is the only companion of Mr. Bean all the time but as you can see even if he is lonely all the time, he still manages to smile, laugh, and enjoy his life. I don't know why some people are saying that it is pitiful to be alone, when in fact some people just preferred that way rather than surround themselves with plastic people. What you can do? They are enjoying their peace of mind. In addition, remember that people in our lives such as our family, relatives, and friends are not always on our side. Sad to say but the time will come they need to enjoy their own lives. And before that time comes, make sure that you can stand up on your feet and be independent while enjoying your own company. I can relate to Mr. Bean in this one, I'm not a type of person who always says 'I love you' and 'I miss you' to my parents but I make sure to make them feel how I love and am thankful to them every single day. I'm just shy to express my sweet self but deep in my heart? I care and love them so much! I am saying those words sometimes but not oftentimes hehe. Be free, be true, be you This is the most important lesson. To be free, you need to be true to yourself. Accept your flaws, insecurities, and shortcomings because that is the only way to be you without any judgments. Being you is not a crime, so be proud of who you are. Because of the help of sales, vouchers, and coins, I was able to buy it at a much lower price and save money *(Kapit lang tayo sa sale para makatipid hehe 😸).* I don't have any bags to use when I travel with my family or friends that's why I thought of buying this bag without any hesitation. The quality of Hawk bag is good and I don't regret sticking to this brand. Tintella.Co Perfume I was scrolling down videos in Tiktok that time when I saw this post about Tintella perfumes. Me being a shopaholic, I eventually check the comments just to find out a lot of positive feedback from its recent customers. Since my perfume will be consumed soon, I decided to add this product to my cart then check out afterward 😹 It costs 350 pesos for a bundle of 2 bottles of 85ml perfumes. They have different kinds of men's and women's scents and I chose to buy their mild scents for men since I'm not a fan of strong ones. I bought the scents Lacoste Red and CK Eternity for men because it is the best seller at that time and probably until now. The scents are good and long-lasting so I am satisfied with my purchase ehe 🙊 They have a newly released inspired scent which is Dior Sauvage and I think of buying that one too. Oh, bring mercy to my pocket. Trouser Pants — Korean Fashion Style I am a fan of aesthetics, minimalistic design, and Korean fashion style. That's why I prefer to buy clothes that are just minimal in design yet cool. I bought 2 trousers pants (beige and navy blue in color) on Kicksfashionwear shop in Shopee last August 25, 2021, because I have a debut celebration to attend at. I am not that magastos but I only have 1 or 2 pieces of jeans so I decided to buy some for myself as a gift narin. I am not that satisfied lang sa quality of the fabric since it's too thin for me but overall it is a good choice. I bought this two for 490 pesos if you want to visit their shop you can search their shop above at Shopee! Final Thoughts Treating and spoiling yourself sometimes is good, but always remember don't make any purchases just because it is in the trend now or just because you like it without considering your budget and reasons. Take a Break from your Academics I know that some of us here on this platform are students, so let me ask these questions, what are the things you do aside from doing your school works? Do you manage to take time for yourself? Do you still enjoy the things you used to do before? Well if you answer it 'yes' then that's good to know, but if your answer is 'no' then I think you need to take a break and plan to treat yourself even for a short period. In this article, I will show you the things that I do whenever I feel so stressed in my academics, these things are my coping mechanisms to divert my attention somewhere and reset my mind from overflowing knowledge. Playing Mobile Legends Bang Bang I'm not a fan of playing online games but decided to try it out last December 2021 before Christmas. I wonder why so many people are playing this game to the point that some people began to be addicted to it. I eventually know the reason behind it when I tried playing this game, it is indeed a good game, it hooked me out. I remember the time when I started playing this game, I would just press all the skill buttons at once just to kill my opponent 😹 I don't know how those buttons work and when I should use them that's why pressing all of them became my key to win my first fight. Oh diba at least I won! That's the most important hehe. After how many months of playing this game, I was able to reach Epic rank. Esmeralda is my main hero followed by Granger and Eudora, I don't know why I chose her to be my main but I already mastered her skills and powers. I am into mage and marksmen heroes as you can observe but I am not that strong compared to other players. This is nice but I encountered many toxic players in this game. Some of them are trash-talking other players just because they are not that good compared to them and that's what I hate about this game. Laro-laro lang Walang pikunan. Cleaning Believe it or not, cleaning is one of my stress relievers aside from playing mobile games. I am the type of person who gets easily annoyed once I see trash everywhere. In addition, I am sitting for how many hours because of the online class set-up so I need to do some things that can exercise my whole body and stretch the muscles and bones in my whole being. As a responsible youth that wants peace in our home, I also need to balance my time from doing school activities and doing household chores. I shouldn't just focus on one task, I need to explore and do the others too. Believe me, when I say that I want to be lazy sometimes, you know just lay on my bed, do nothing, and let my siblings do all the work. But I know that is impossible (possible but I can't do it). My siblings need to be called out first before they do household work, mga desusi yon eh AHAHAHHA! Doing D.I.Y Crafts D.I.Y crafts is one of my hobbies since high school until now. I love transforming waste materials into something useful, I love applying what's in my imagination, I love expressing myself through creativity. Whenever I am seeing cardboard that will be put in the trash bins, I am going to pick it up and bring it to my home. I usually make those things a gift for my friends at their upcoming birthday celebrations. Some may find it simple but for me, it is equivalent to those expensive gifts that you may find in branded stores. These are the few things that I do whenever I want to take a break from my stressful world (online class). I make sure that I still manage to make time for myself despite of my busy schedules.
