One of the greatest people to ever walk the earth

Robert Nesta Marley better known as Bob Marley is the most famous reggae musician who influenced this genre of music to be popularized around the world. He was a lyricist, guitarist, but also a great humanist and ambassador of peace, and in his songs are woven some of the most beautiful messages that glorify love, the importance of peace for the human soul and finding joy in every moment. He was born on February 6, 1945, and died in Miami on May 11, 1981. Bob Marley was a twentieth-century music icon.

Robert Nesta Marli poznatiji kao Bob Marli je njapoznatiji rege muzicar koji je uticao da se ovaj zanr muzike popularizuje sirom sveta. Bio tekstopisac, gitarista, ali pored toga i veliki humanista i ambasador mira, a u njegovim pesmama utkane su jedne od najlepsih poruka koje velicaju ljubav, znacaj mira za ljudsku dusu i pronalazak radosti u svakom trenutku. Rodjen je 6. februara 1945 godine, a umro je u Majamiju 11. maja 1981.godine. Bob Marli je bio muzicka ikona dvadesetog veka.

In 1963, Bob and a couple of friends formed the Wailing Wailers. Marley took on the role of lead singer. That's when the debut song "I'm Still Wailers" was made.

1963.godine Bob je sa par prijatelja osnovao grupu Wailing Wailers. Marli je preuzeo ulogu vodeceg pevaca. Tada je nastala debi pesma " I'm Still Wailers "

The group recorded over 70 songs before disbanding in 1966.

The backbone of Marley's life and work was the Rastafari movement. He found his own seal and symbolism in the faith, that is, the sect that glorified the Race of Tafari Makonen. Marley then combined social power and religious mysticism in his poems, doing it all in a stylized way, changing the musical and cultural environment, and going down in history.

Okosnica Marlijevog zivota i stvaralastva bio je pokret Rastafari. Vlastiti pecat i simbolizam nalazio je u veri, odnosno sekti koja je velicala Rasa Tafarija Makonena. Marli je nakon toga u pesmama spajao socijalnu snagu i religiozni misticizam, radeci sve to na stilizovan nacin, menjajuci muzicku i kulturnu okolinu, i ulazeci u istoriju.

The reggae music icon died on May 11, 1981 in Miami at a cancer hospital. Just before his death, Bob Marley was baptized in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. He was buried in Jamaica, and for his humane work he received one of Jamaica’s greatest awards, the Order of Gratitude.

Ikona rege muzike preminula je 11. maja 1981 godine u Majamiju u bolnici od karcinoma. Neposredno pred smrt Bob Marli se krstio u etiopiskoj pravoslavnoj crkvi. Sahranjen je na Jamajci, a za svoj humani rad dobio je jedno od najvecih priznanja Jamajke, Orden zahvalnosti.
