This is a continuation of the set of questions with my answers from the Creative Types Test. If you haven't read the first part yet, check it here..
The Innovator (Seeing Life Through The Lens Of Stories)
So let's continue...
Dip your toes or dive in your head first?
First of all, if this refers to swimming, I don't know how to properly swim, lol. And afraid to dive into the deep water as well. But practically, I DIP my toes not dive in my head because I always thought of what lies at the bottom. I rather get injured legs, than a broken head. That makes sense, lol. At least, in that way, I would still survive. But if I injured my head, it might put my life at risk.
In another sense, if we put our toe in the water first, it's like we are testing its temperature, or checking if it's safe to plunge in. Unlike if we dive in our head first, we don't care or think about what lies at the bottom so we would carelessly plunge in regardless of the risks.
It can be comparable to taking any decision. If we dive in and make abrupt decisions without thinking of the consequences, we often end up failing to achieve what we are aiming for, especially if things don't fall into place. Meanwhile, if we dip our toes first, it's like we want to take things cautiously as we don't want to get into trouble.
But the truth is, I also wished to try adventurous things like plunging into deep water with head first, bungee jumping, zip-lining, paragliding, and others for the sake of experience even if they are risky. It's just that, I'm not ready enough to try the higher risk, lol. And oftentimes, I would take decisions abruptly. However, regrets would only follow.
Take crypto trading for instance. Sometimes I would dive in carelessly just because of the hype, not even thinking about the possibilities that the market might go reversely, lol. And it happened to me many times π. So recently, I take my decisions rationally and think multiple times before executing any action. But if pressure is up, the risk-taker self of mine would sometimes outperform the chary side, lol.
I also like to live a careless and carefree life. So complicated isn't it? To put it simply, I want to live happily and do whatever I want regardless of the risks, the consequences, as well as the world and the people around me. I just want to be happy, that's all! Because life is too short to make it too complex. Just carpe diem! ganern! I wish I could, lol.
My door is, Wide Open or Usually Close?
In a physical sense, I always want my door to leave WIDE OPEN so there'll be better ventilation and my house wouldn't be suffocating. Besides, we are living in a safer place somewhere in the province, so we could open our door the whole time, and pets could go in and out, lol.
But in a deeper sense, I want my door to be wide open the whole time to welcome every opportunity that would knock on my door. I have wasted many opportunities in the past that I regretted so much, and I won't let it happen anymore. And I'm always looking forward to every possibility and opportunity that could help me succeed in the future.
Updates are ready to install, "Restart me now" or "Remind me tomorrow?"
I am certain that many could relate here. It's embarrassing to say that, sometimes I opt to press "REMIND ME TOMORROW" when it comes to updating my phone, even though I can restart it right away upon receiving the notification. Either I don't want to postpone what I am doing, or just wait until I get connected to wifi since updating the system consumes more data.
But this reminded me of the saying,
Seriously, we shouldn't put off things until tomorrow when we actually have enough time to do it today. This action could reflect what we would be in the future. Let's break procrastination, and as much as possible, let's do what we can do today, not tomorrow, because tomorrow is another day, thus, another set of tasks to carry out, and another problem to deal with. If we would only stack things, they would be piled up and might be tough for us to handle them all anymore. Besides, we don't know what tomorrow holds. What if there'll be an apocalypse or catastrophe tomorrow? It's just a thought to ponder though.
My first question is always, Why or How?
Thinking about the 5W1H, what do you think is the most common question we use? Is it, how, what, when, where, how, or why? It actually depends on the situation. But my answer was WHY.
But why? See, the question is there. I'm not sure of why I chose this though. Maybe because I'm curious about things and always want to know more about the matter. Why did you do this and that? Why are you like this and that? Why is it important? And why do we keep asking questions? Simply because we want to know the real answer.
But after writing this part, I thought of a deeper meaning of why and how. Maybe why reflects those who like asking and complaining? And how for those who are seeking solutions to the matter. But based on my result, I don't think it is. But I can't deny the fact that I complain sometimes, lol. Well, anyway, there are a lot of explanations in everything, and opinions are opinions where nothing is wrong.
Secret weapon, Curiosity or Endurance?
This isn't a secret actually. Because I am certain that, if you'll answer the same question, you'll choose ENDURANCE. Unless you are really a curious cat. And do you know the secret weapon of athletes? It's endurance. May we be an athlete or an ordinary person, endurance is always a secret to success and winning any prize.
Growing up in a place prone to devastation and having no silver spoon on the table helped me acquire the ability to endure uncertainties and catastrophes, and made me what I am today. Even dealing with this cold season abroad is another thing to endure. Because weak ones won't survive. So despite having no winter experience in my home country, I strengthened my body to withstand and endure the season without compromising health.Β
Dealing with depression was among all of the trials that I struggled much but I was to endure. Staying in the dark days, on and off, isn't that easy. It's like living in hell and a crazy world, most especially that I dealt with it alone. During those days, it was not only my body that I tried to strengthen but my mind. Because if I didn't, I probably got crumpled physically and mentally.
So in any circumstances, we should always strengthen our mind and body to be able to endure uncertainties that our lives would throw at us. That will also help us achieve what we are aiming for and succeed in anything we do in life.
I'll leave this as a challenge to you guys. If you can't think of any topic to write about, then try to answer the Creative Types Test and write an article about your result and why you choose your answers.

What a great idea for the articles Jane. I did the test and my result was the dreamer. It also said my perfect partner would be the innovator. Do you wanna marry me? π
Btw. I opted for curiosity. Even though endurance is my strength too, curiosity leads me to some exciting places ;)
