Forgive my instability on the platform this days. I have been so occupied. I am in my final year in the university and currently undergoing my project seminar. So, I have to put in extra work and focus so as to end it all on a good note.
Core, the Bitcoin×Ethereum bridge
Recently, I shared on the Core Ecosystem and what it was supposed to be. Core promises to be one of the greatest if not the greatest project of it time. But with recent happenings, that goal has not been actualized. Infact many people are of the opinion that has a rather bleak future. The rise in Bitcoin value should make the value of the Blockchain token to rise even if only by little, but instead of rising, it's surprising to seeing it falling even further down.
Another potential that should have sent the price of Core skyrocketing is the increase in the number of projects been executed on it. These projects are not some small feeble projects. They are projects of good and strong prospects. One of them is Shadowswap, a very very strong project with ever hardworking teams and strong community. Yet the price of $Core is no where near the green line.
Recently, the price of $Core went as fall down as below the mark of $1.7. This really disappointed a lot of investors gas many had had their hopes high that with the increase in Bitcoin value, $Core should rise and sit on it royal seat. But here we are!
Is there hope for $Core
One of the very constantly answered questions regarding the Core project is: can the Devs keep their promises and make Core what they say it will be?. Let's see what it seems the future holds for the Core project.

Another end at the tunnel for $Core is that many strong projects are actually joining in partnership with this project. In my own opinion, it's only a matter of time before CORE becomes the biggest project there is. Do you know at a time core was predicted to hit at least $70k? Now you know.
Before the distribution of the Airdrop to the miners, the value of Core on Metamask was over $6500!

Hello Mes Amis. It been so long since I last posted an article on this platform although I do comment on some of my friends post here. I hope to see more people come back to here especially my favourite writers.
The Core update
Sometimes ago, an app was created to serve as a mining app for a supposed massive project. The token to be mined was called BTCs then but was later changed to CORE. I think the major reason for changing the name of the crypto was because the team that came together to build this project wanted it to be a bridge between BITCOIN and ETHEREUM Blockchains. So, it wouldn't make any sense if it was termed BTCs without expressing the $ETH part of it. Hence the name was Changed to $CORE. The app was called 'MYSTERIOUS APP' and at the long run, it truly proved to be mysterious.
At the beginning of the Airdrop, free Bitcoin and Ethereum was giving to all participants and more can be claimed by referral, claiming hash and participating in competitions. The $CORE which was to be the native token of the CORE blockchain was also claimed alongside the free BTC and ETH.

About the team
The Team comprises of two major whales of holding huge amount of BTC and ETH. The team goes by the name CORE_DAO on Twitter. They are as mysterious as the app is.
The launching of the Airdrop
The mining of the token lasted for about a year plus. They were so many speculations about what the price of the crytpo would be. On metamask, the price that many people said they saw was about $6800 per CORE. So many CEX and DEX were competing to get the token from those that mined because there was no IDO or IFO, nor was there a private or public funding. Many of those that mined the coin were already dreaming of how many Benz they are going to buy or how many houses they were going to build. But lo and behold, the first move of the COREDAO Team broke their backs. The team didn't release the whole coin, rather they decided to release the token to the community in a percentages (about 30%) spread over a period of one to two years. The percentages will be Airdrop and claimed by the miners at certain time in a month.
Secondly, the price the community expected was not the listing price that came out. Many people are of the opinion that atleast $6800 will be the listing price while the price will increase to around $18k and ultimately $80k in the nearest future. The listing price came out to be $5 and subsequently dropped to around $2. I was actually one of the expecting miners waiting for the starting price to be around $6800, but here we are😅
Mysterious nature of the core project
Even though the price of core doesn't seem good, I believe that core is still going to be very great in the crypto verse. Hence, now is a very good time to bag more core now that the price is very low. I will give some reasons to this but before then let me give you some projects currently existing on the CORE blockchain;
Shadowswap; This is a very high profiting project currently existing on core project. They have executed a lot of other projects on this Token. Many have become millionaires just because of this project. Others have also gotten more core and HODL them till the glory of Core will be revealed.
LFGswap; I particularly participated in this project and it was a lovely one. I had to stake the lfg I got from it and it's yielding many more for me. Recently a pump was carried out on the crypto. I narrowly missed it cos I wasn't online when it happened by my friends that were online them made huge returns. BETTER DAYS AHEAD
ArcherSwap: A great project I love. So easy to join and make profit from. I participated in some IDOs and made some Core for myself. More projects ahead.

The CORE future
Let's spend another minutes to better known CORE.
Fellow holders of CORE, there are things I want to you to note down and consider indebtly, so that you hold your Core, stake it and never make the mistake of selling, except you have plenty of it.
(1) why would Bitcoin miners delegate their Hash to a project of 2 dollars if that project is not a time Bomb waiting to explode.
(2) why would a coin like Core that has been listed on 8 exchanges still remain at 2 dollars if not that the price is being controlled or manipulated. Remember Remitano reach 3 dollars even when it has not been listed on any exchange even with a very low market cap.
(3) How and from where did Mexc exchange know and got the information that 1 unit of Core is 0.97 cents, don't forget that 1 unit is 0.0001 of a coin.
(4) why is it that numerous projects that are launching on Core everyday is not affecting Core price.
(5) why would CORE spend almost Ten million dollars worth of Bitcoin in giveaway when they know that they don't have enough liquidity to make their coin something worth appreciating, it seems CRAZY TO ME.
(6) where did Metamask get 6555 dollars price from???????
In conclusion CORE is a project shrouded in Mysterious, hard to predict like a riddle that can even puzzle the gods, but for me I see great days ahead of Core and Core holders, I am not just looking for a quick cash out, but I am looking for a Crypto currency that will change my financial status at the course of time, so let's state our coin and be Optimistic, because CORE will make the patient holders rich.

Got scammed again and again

One of the many wishes people wish for is not to be scammed or lose their possession to others through dubious means. But what now happens when one becomes a victim of fraud over and over again? Well, that's exactly what I witnessed today.
Some few weeks back, a neighbor of mine was scammed through online registration. It all began when another neighbor of mine told him about an online betting site where sure odds are been shared to prospective members who have registered with them. He said that they regularly post of the various testimonies their supposed members share. He said that the least amount of money he has seen them post is about #150000 (about $190) and that he has even seen testimonies of over #3million (about $3,800). So, he convinced that my neighbor to invest in it with a minimum of #1000 ( about $1) which after much deliberation, he accepted to do. He tried convincing me as well but I told him I don't want to get involved in betting stuffs.
Fast forward, the guy registered and was giving his first game to play. After playing he won #200 (about $0.4) and he was happy that by the end of the week or so, he would be able to withdraw a reasonable amount of money but he didn't know he was up for the greatest shock of his life.
I do keep my money in his account due to the fact that my ATM card has expired and I can't hold it in my account cos the bank kept deducting my money anyhow. At the afternoon of the next day, I went to him to collect his card because I wanted to withdraw some amount. He said he was going to transfer it instead to the POS attendant. After opening his bank app, he was shocked to see #400 instead of #30000 ($38). He thought it was a glitch or the network was misbehaving so he kept refreshing and refreshing it. When it turns out that the amount it was showing didn't change, he decided to used the USSD code method. After trying that the message he received was that the amount of money remaining in his account was #400. He was mad. He quickly dressed up and went to the bank to go and lodge a complaint. He later gave the account of what he met at the bank. The bank official told him that the site where he paid the money had withdrew his money. He had logged in his account details on the site while trying to pay for the registration fee and I think those people must have saved his details and withdrew his money. He was weak to his marrow. All the money in his account at been cleared away including mine. That was the first time I was witnessing that incident. I have always heard of people claimed that they were scammed on a site but that was my first time of hearing that.
After that, we packed out of our former house and went to a new one. I and the guy that introduced my neighbor to the betting site took the same room with me cos, according to him he is in his final year and won't want to go and rent a house for a full year of half a year. So he is currently living me till he graduates. Just This morning he called me and told me he needed my help. I asked him what was up and he said he needed a sum of #20000 (about $28) for something. I told him I don't have that amount in my account but I can only afford #10000 ($13). He said no problem that he would source the other part out from another person. Knowing the kind of person he is, I grew curious and asked what he was going to use the money for. He then told me that he applied for a betting forum and that the game they gave him to play had won a sum of #650000 (about $830) but he needed to pay an appreciation fee of #20000 before his login details can be given to him. I told him that I don't think it's real cos no company would help you to play a game and asked for appreciation fee before giving you your account. The only thing I know they can do is to charge you for the process from the vet beginning and then after you've paid up, they would release your fund not telling you to pay Appreciation fee.
He was still adamant and bent on find the money by all means to send to the person. While we were talking, a neighbor of ours came and he went to meet him to borrow the remaining part. The guy was about to do so when he decided to ask what he wanted it for. He narrated the matte to the guy and the guy told him point blank that it's a scam. He still argued it anyways, so our neighbor decided to prove it to him and try calling the guy through his telegram link but he had already put it on not to accept telegram calls. Later our neighbor collected the guy's number and called him through the phone call and we got the shock of our lives.
My roommate was devastated. He didn't know what to do or think. It was after it was proven that the guy was a scammer that he confessed that he had been sending him money to play the game for him. He said he had sent him a total of #13000 ($17) and if not for he quick intervention of I and our neighbor, he would have borrowed the #20000 and send it to him.
I was somehow angry with the guy because it was because of him our former neighbor got scammed on that betting stuff and he still went ahead to get entangled in it again. Well I told him that he is still safe at least the money wasn't that much. It was at that point he told me that he borrowed some of that money to give to the man. I was just blown off.
So, I thought that was going to be the end only for me to check his phone this evening and found out that he was already chatting with another person on telegram that he wants to invest in a betting forum. It was at that point I concluded that his been scammed days are not yet over, infact, he will be scammed over and over again.

on a everage ,a person with regular cycles tends to ovulate sometime between day 11 and 21 of their cycle.(day 1 is the day u get your period.) This mean a person fertile day will fall somewhere between day 8 and day 21.
If your cycle are on the shorter side,you are most likely to ovulate closer to day 11.if u have longer mestural cycles, ovulation may occur closer to day 21 .but "some time"between day 11 and day 21 is quite a long range.
U could aim to have sex every day or every day between day 8 and day 21 or, you can look for ovulation sign and symptoms and have sex whenever u detect fertile signs.you can also try tracking your cycle every month ,so you get an idea of when ovulation occurs for you (your own personal average).
How do I know if am fertile enough to get pregnant
Determining your most fertile time -ovulation day can be tricky,but there are several ways to tell when u are at the most fertile point in your cycle. Here are five signs and symptoms that ovulation is coming or that ovulation has just occurred.

When you see this signs, it is a clear indication that you are in your most fertile moment. If you are one of those still hoping to get pregnant, that is the time to take action.
An ovulation predictor kit works a lot an at home pregnancy test. You urinate on a stick or into a cup in which u place the stick or test strips. Two line will appear . When the test line is darker than the control line , the test is considered positive, indicating that you are likely about to ovulate. This is the time to have sex to get pregnant or abstain depending on you.

These past few days had been quite eventful and full of color. It gets better and better. I was supposed to write this article since last week but I couldn't because I didn't have the time to write as I am still trying to complete my report writing.
@Bisolammy wrote somethings about an issues in one of her last posts. She was talking about the behaviour of guys towards their female friends that come visiting them. She was complaining about the way guys treat their female friends who come visiting them. Coincidentally, two separate friends of mine who were not at the same place said exactly the same thing. One of them said there was a time she went to visit a male friend in his house and the next thing was that the guy nearly raped her and would have if she hadn't called out for help. Another of my friends said she was nearly raped by her uncle who teaches in her school. All these from three different persons and all I could ask in my heart of hearts is WHAT IS HAPPENING? Like, what pleasure do some guys gain in inflicting pain on their female friends? So, because she comes visiting, they think it's an avenue to sleep with them or rape them? Except if you are the girl's lover or husband, I don't see why you will want to have a canal knowledge of her and worse still, trying to forcefully have your way with her.
The madness is spreading at an alarming rate and the sad thing is that innocent girls are been affected the most. So many cases have been reported about girls being raped and even killed in the process. It think it's about time we all (both girls and guys, the citizens and government and the whole society) take drastic steps to ending this menance. In my own opinion, I think the following will help reduce this wicked acts in the society:
Girls should understand that guys are not rocks or inanimate objects that you can treat with obscurity. You as a girl knowing what's going on the world presently, shouldn't take the risk of going to sleep in a guy's house especially if you are not in relationship with him. Bisola said she (or a friend), wore a not so fine or sexy cloth to the guy's house and yet the guy still tried to have his way with her. Come to think of it, that's not the first day the guy is seeing you, he has seen you in better clothes and it has already been imprinted in his memory the better version of you. Now giving the circumstances of you sleeping in his house, his chemistry will be activated to do what is been played in his head with you and if he is not God fearing or having self control, he will surely try to have his way with you. In conclusion, of you don't want that, don't create a circumstance for it.
Choose your male friends wisely. Although this doesn't totally rule out number one, it's also very effective in avoiding guys that are like that. The truth is we all know our friends and what they are capable of doing. So, when you choose the wrong friend, expect the wrong thinking and action from them.
Wear decent clothes at all times. Many will argue that this doesn't prevent rape, but it actually does. If we take a quick stroll back into the past, we will see that the cases of rape is very minimal and almost a strange thing to happen then compared to now. This is due to one major factor, the dressing of girls then and now. When you dress sexy, you are dressing to been appealing to have sex with! Hence when a guy sees you, he receives the message of 'please have sex with me'. I still don't understand why you will dress to kill, dress sexy or slay of you don't want sex. It's like going to the market to price a commodity when you don't want it at all. Isn't it insane and illogical? Fine, there are guys that will still try to rape a girl that's is well dress, but those type of guys are very few. I will repeat this, if you don't want it, don't dress it.
Pray you don't fall into temptation. With all the above discussion, one may still be unfortunate to fall into the wrong hands as we have many decievers and pretenders, so pray! For God shall direct your path and keep you from evil.
Finally, I am able to post this article I have been writing since last week. I have been so very busy and occupied.

Landlord issue. Sudden quit notice.

Happy new day wonderful people. I hope you are doing fine as I am. Special thanks to @JRamona20 for the care she showed when I was sick. God bless you real good friend.
I returned back to Benin Last month since the ASUU strike was called and school had resumed. Getting there I learnt the landlord has sold the house and had told everybody to leave the house lastest by December. So I was already searching for another apartment to rent and that is a major problem at this point in time since the final year students are still around and the section has not ended. Anyways, I kept looking for and was a bit optimistic that I will find one since the time phrase was short and didn't want to take chances because the landlord can just decided to show his 'were' and he sure did.
Originally it was the caretaker of the house that was keeping the landlord at Bay saying that student had not resumed due to ASUU strike and when the strike was finally called off, she resorted to saying we were still looking for an apartment to rent, so he should exercise patience. We all thought she was doing it for our sakes unknown to us that she was doing it for her friend that was staying the same compound. Although the care taker had already gotten an apartment for herself, her hadn't gotten so she was buying time for her friend on our behalf. Initially, her friend told her she was going to stay till December till she gets an apartment and that was the same message she conveyed to the landlord that he should give the students till December before he starts his project. Last week her friend got an apartment and the next was that the care taker went to tell the landlord that she has seen an apartment and will be packing out very soon, hence she has nothing to do with the house anymore. Yesterday, the landlord came to the house very early in the morning and was demanding that we all start to pack that very morning as work will commence on the house that day. We all had to tell him that we don't have anywhere to go and that we were informed late. And besides, the care taker said December, hence we don't expect him to come this soon.
He then said all he can do for us now is that he can give us till Sunday and after that, the house will be demolished on Monday. Since then we have been looking around and trying to get an apartment. I personally went to meet the care taker to explain the situation of things to her and to solicit her help but all she could say is she isn't sure the landlord will stay he project on Monday, hence we can still stay behind. I overheard her saying she will be packing this Saturday. I didn't really think it will be this soon and the time is just too short and more over this is not much vacant apartments to rent now because the school is still in session and the session is expected to end around December 23rd. That's the issue at hand right. The landlord is hell-bent on getting us out of the house latest Monday, the caretaker we thought was on our side has left us to our fate and vacant house is scarce to come about now. I hope we get a new apartment on time or better still that the landlord gives us till the ending to this month.
So, that the issue on ground now. Funny thing now is that most landlords here had increased their rent fee to an absurd amount. I saw a self contain apartment the other day and wanted to take it. From the look of the house and with the fact that the house doesn't have it own water, the next compound supplies it with water and I believe there is a certain amount the people staying in the compound are paying for that, the landlord without shame or pity said the rent is #200,000 which is over $230. When I asked the current tenants living there, they said the rent is not even up to #120,000 (that's below $150). I was shocked. Apart from This issue of landlord increasing their house rent, I don't even have the money to pay for a new rent now and I'm hoping I get it soon.

Oh what a day

I have been down with Malaria for some days now. I hate been sick with Malaria fever, it drains my energy, reduces my weight and makes me look like a skeleton. I would not have gotten the disease if not for some children in my compound that went to cut my window netz thereby opening the way for mosquitoes. Anyways, I got much better yesterday and I was so sure I will have improved greatly today so I could wash my clothes and do some house chores but all that didn't happen.
Around 5:30 in the morning, my phone rang and I had to struggle up to pick the call. Initially, I didn't want to pick the call but on a second thought I decided to pick it. Who knows, it might be someone is trouble or perhaps an helper, lol. Anyways, I picked the call and it turns out to be the least person I expected to hear her voice that early morning. It was a woman I formerly taught her children. She called to ask me for an assistance. I was to go with her that early morning to some place to deliver some goods and, According to her, within 2 hours, we would be through. I decided to go with her although I had loads of graphic designs I was contracted to do but I decided to do it when I come back. Atleast 2 hours won't destroy anything or so I thought.
We went to the park she was to deliver the load. I stayed behind in the car to monitor her baby boy. It was actually because of the boy that my presence was needed this is because he had a medical condition and could not behave normally like a normal child would. He is three years old now and hasn't spoken his first word. His neck can't support the head, so he has to be rested on a flat platform to keep the neck straight. Also, he spends most of his days in a baby carrier to support his neck and body. This sitting posture resulted to his legs getting swollen and ultimately resulting to pain in the ankle regions. The mother said he had to be given a full body massage on Saturday because all his body was aching him and he was crying uncontrollably. I was so sad when I heard what the poor baby went through that day. It's such a sad occurrence and the baby didn't deserved it. The mother told me she fell when she was pregnant with the child and landed heavily on her stomach. She started bleeding and was rushed to the hospital. The doctor told them the baby was in a very critical condition and only a C.S can save him. So they undergo the C.S and brought the premature child out. The doctor offered a mercy killing to prevent what they are not experiencing but the mother objected and told the doctor that she wants her baby alive.
Well, that led to where we are today. I truly felt sorry for the baby. Even in my presence the baby still cried a bit when his foot was to be adjusted. Anyways, she went to deliver the goods and I stayed in the car with the A.C working in almost full capacity. I endured the cold for about an hour and decided to put it off, but I had I had to consider the baby as well as he is already used to it and it I put it off, the he may start crying because of the heat. His mother had once told me he cried profusely when she put off the A.C in the car one day and only stopped crying when she puts it on. So, putting off the AC was not an option for me. I decided to tuck in my hands into my clothes to generate warmth for myself.
I was already wondering where the woman had gone to and how many hours it will take her to just deliver a good to someone, lo and behold she appeared and entered the car. I was already happy and thought we are going home, but I got confused when I saw the woman taking another lane which is not the lane that leads to my house. She then told me she's going to the market to repair her watch and buy some baby items. I obliged to go with her at least that shouldn't take more than an hour or was I wrong?
We got to the market and I stayed in the car for almost 3 hours. At last the woman showed again then told me she has a work to quickly attend to on our way back. She drove us to place and I had to stay in the car for another one hour. At some point in the process of waiting, I jus slept off and didn't wake up till the woman returned. She bought some snacks and soft drinks for the both of us and drove us to another location where she bought herself Amala and ewedu soup and would have bought mine but I told her I don't like eating Amala. So she gave me the money instead and to be honest , I'm glad I didn't like the food if not that amount of money won't have come to me. Lol.
From there, we parted ways and base each other goodbye till next time. I was so tired when I got home and was so famished. I had to quickly fix me indomie noodles (hungry man size) and two eggs. After eating, I went to take my bath and was able to sleep when the company I was supposed to design for called me to request for their job. I quickly jumped up from the bed and started designing till some minutes I stopped to wirte this article.
Arrghhh! What a day?!
**Yawns** I am so so tired Right now and I know a good night sleep will do me well. Though Mr sleep hasn't come, I will force him to.

Gender equality or Justice? What's your opinion

Sometimes ago, I read an article on this platform about the view of the writer on feminism and the issue of gender equality. He was of the opinion that gender equality was been confused for justice and I totally I agree with him. Let me cite an example he gave
Suppose three persons are in a building and a football match is going on on the other side of the fence. Let's take it that the three are not of the same height with one being the tallest, the other taller and the last been the shortest. If they all desire to see the football match being played, the tallest will obviously have a better view than the rest. Now, if someone comes along and decided to put them all on an equal ground by providing a flat platform raised some height above the ground with the height of the shortest person in mind, if the three persons all stand on the raised platform, they will all have a better view. The person will have given the three persons a good chance to see the match.
But if another comes along and give each person a raised platform of his own to match the height of the other two, they will all have the same view but this doesn't mean they will have a better view since the platform given will have been be constructed with the height of the tallest person in mind.
**NOTE**: *I have paraphrased it.*
The above illustration is how justice and gender equality works. Where one (justice) gives everyone equal position in life (with the difference been the person's own affluence or value and gender), gender equality ranks all as the same. Meaning in light of gender equality, there is no gender! And of a truth, that is not real. So, in short, gender equality can't be realised. The concept is just like that of an ideal gas which will only be feasible in a vacuum space.
Let me cite an example, I watched a video on tik Tok last week. The video showed a man and a woman (whom I perceived to be a thug or prostitute) arguing with each other. I don't really know the cause of the argument but it seems like it was based on a small ruckus like the guy said something bad about the girl or something of that nature. At first, the girl was really insulting the guy and the guy just stood there smiling. All of a sudden, the girl just punched the guy right in the face making the glasses the guy wore fly off. Immediately the girl moved far away from the guy, and another guy (an onlooker) quickly stood between the guy and the girl, pushing the guy from attacking the girl. At the end some people just stood there, all they could do was tell the guy sorry. The girl got away with it, or so it seemed. Then one person said "hold your peace, you know she's a lady". In a world where feminism and gender equality is been held in high esteem and thought of as something lawful, that's a big fallacy. Now the lady hit the guy and gets away with it all before she's feminine, but if the guy hits the lady, he will receive backlashes and beatings even from those standing by, why? Because he hits a female. So, where is the equality in that?
Another scenerio is where the man marries a woman and he is expected to take the full responsibility when it comes to money matters. Where is the equality in that? During the times of war, females are been spared on the basis that they are 'females' while males are been killed or sent to war. If gender equality is to be truly achieve, I believe whatever is done to one gender should be done to the other. But in reality this is not so.
I have also noticed that immediately a person especially a guy is said to have maltreated a lady, feminists from all angles will start insulting the guy and calling for justice for the lady. They would profess that there is equality before the law and also that the guy has no shame, cos if he did, he would not have maltreated the girl. And trust them to make sure the man lands in jail, at least in police cell. But if a news is spread that a woman is maltreating a man, you will not see a single one of them. They will all of a sudden become silent and blind.
There is another one in Vogue now where a woman will divorce her husband and get part, if not all, his properties. This is pure evil. If the woman can get a share of the man's property, then the man should also be enabled to get some part of the woman's property. If the woman gets 50%, the man too should get 50% that's how gender equality is supposed to work.
For me, I believe in justice not in gender equality. I believe every gender is been equipped with his/her characteristics to function effectively and efficiently in this world. There is a saying that 'what a man can do, a woman can do better'. I don't really believe it's entirely true. Yes there are some women that can Excel in some jobs meant to be done by men, but this doesn't mean they can Excel in all work for men. I think they (females) should be contended with their gender and not covet another's. Yeah, I said covet because that's what it truly is. A woman will want to be the head and Lord a man. This is great fallacy, the Bible didn't teach us so, God's law doesn't support it neither does our culture (Yoruba to be precise) support it. I believe feminism and gender equality sprung from covetousness, greed and hatred. It's true some men are just pure evil and maltreats woman, that is where justice not gender equality comes in. Justice punishes the man and make others deter from doing same, but, if you truly look at the meaning of the term, gender equality gives the woman go ahead to defend herself and the man can fight her like he is fighting a man.

What's the difference between destiny and purpose?

Today is a really special day for someone special to me. She's a person dearest to my heart and today marks her birthday so I'm using this medium to wish her a happy birthday. She's a kind of person that does hold special days to heart so, today kind of mean a great deal to her. I wish her a long prosperous years upon the surface of the earth.
Speaking of birthdays, Every birthday we celebrate is taken us closer to the end of our lives. So, you can say we are celebrating our closeness to 'Time-out' lol. Some celebrate birthdays while others don't, for me it doesn't really matter if you celebrate it or not. What really matters to me is what you have done with all the years you have spent on Earth and what you will do with the ones you have left. A child growing up doesn't really have to do much or think much of say much but there comes a defining time in one's life when the essence for ones existence is discovered or learnt, And that essence for a person's existence is what we usually call purpose or destiny (some may even call it fate). But all this terms have they separate meanings and definitely, their different impact.
Purpose, according to Wikitionary, is:
An object be reached; a target or an aim; a goal.
A result that is desired; an intention
The act of intending to do something; resolution; determination.
The subject of discourse the point at issue.
Destiny is defined as:
That to which any person or thing is destined; a predetermined state; a condition foreordained by the Divine or by human will; fate; lot; Doom.
The fixed order of things; invincible necessity; fate; an irresistible power or agency conceived of as determining the future, whether in general or of an individual.
**NOTE**: fate and destiny are synonymous to each other.
Looking at the above definition, I think it will be safe to state that one who understands and takes his purpose seriously, controls his very own destiny. Hence, intentionally, purpose preceeds destiny! Back to a growing adult, at a certain age, a defining pattern, thought or action begins to come to play in the life of everyone. Now, where most surrender themselves to mother nature to do to them what it wills (they do it unconsciously by agreeing to live life as it comes to them) thereby getting into all sorts or things either good or bad, some on the other hand decide what happen to them or what comes to play in their lives (they don't live life as it comes, rather they live life intentionally, consciously and with calculations). They try to find purpose to their existence and, whether you believe it or not, that which they want always come to them. This doesn't mean that those that live 'drifting off' on the current of life don't get some good results, rather they do but with luck. They are whom we should be saying are Lucky! But a man with purpose and with dreams or vision doesn't get lucky. Nah, rather He gets what he wants!
I love using the example Paul and Jesus in matters like that. Jesus, although been a spiritual man, found purpose to live on Earth. All his teaching, movement and actions are directed towards achieving that purpose. He gave an urgency to his assignment so much that it is recorded that he said;
'I must work the works of him who sent me while there is day, night cometh when no man can work'
He also said: "for this reason I am come forth to reconcile man to God".
So his assignment was clear to him. He knew what he must do. And that's real Dominion! When you know what you are supposed to do at a particular time in a particular way for a particular person, you become successful in all you do. You become a wonder and a mystery to men. And this was why Jesus remained a mystery to the people of Israel till tomorrow. The next person, apostle Paul, although called later after the 12 apostle, rose to the peak of the church pillar. Peter, John, James and all other apostles were already called and sent out before him, but they decided to 'go with the flow' of the spirit then. At first, they were not even concerned about spreading the gospel. They all stood confined to a location until persecution broke out against them and believe God was the author of the persecution! He will never let human weakness and ignorance stand in the way of his will. When Paul joined the flock, he immediately sought after purpose for which he is a Christian and an Apostle. He spent close to 7 years learning about Christ, his words and deeds and from there caught his fire. He determined that the world must know Christ and believe me the world did! He became a change creator, turning men back to God, breaking and moulding up kingdoms and arousing the entire world at that time. Just one single man found purpose and the world was turned upside down! Wow. Peter drifted with the current and was know very well in Jerusalem, Paul found purpose and was known in the whole world. I heard a statistics some times that the most successful person in the world (as regards influencing others) is Paul the apostle followed by the prophet Muhammed and thirdly, Jesus (because, according to them, he restricted his movement to certain nations). I wish you could read about the three great men mentioned above and you will know the importance of finding your own purpose. The prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) for example, was an orphan while he was a little boy. He had to stay with his uncle then a trader. He suffered persecution from the people of Mecca, got beaten yet remained determined to see his goals achieved. He had one purpose; to find and share the true God!
You don't have to live life for living sake. Stand up and take charge. Find purpose in all you do. Don't just do things for doing them, do it because that is the right thing to do and because you found your purpose in there.
@Kushyzee wrote an article recently titled: When you fail to plan, you plan to fail. This is also applicable to life. When you don't have a purpose for life, life gives you anything. Remember even as you start to find that purpose that there are process, sacrifice and pain you will go through in achieving. That is why 'only the **strong** taketh it by **force**'

The true gospel. The African and European Christianity review

Evey time spent in the presence of the Lord is truly a time of Joy and gladness. When I woke up this morning, preparing to go to Church, I was already dressed and was about going out when the sandal I wore decided to show it protest of not going to church with me by cutting off. I was really disappointed it had to give way like that especially on an important Sunday like this. Funny thing is I have already stepped out of the house so I had to go back and search for another shoe to wear that will go with the cloth that I wore. I had to quickly think and choose another shoe so I can get to church on time. Anyways I got to church on time and was able to take the roles given to me.
On my way to church, I started ruminating in my mind the concept of the gospel and why is it that the gospel or mode of operation of church in Africa (Nigeria in particular) is different from the one in European and other parts of the world? I think it's a well known fact that Africans are very religious and pray even more than any other parts of the world. But why this? Does it mean there are two different types of Christianity? Or does this means that there are two Christs? Is the Bible written to favour one race or is it written to be understood differently? Of course not! There is only one Christianity, one God, one saviour, one Christ, one interpretation and certainly one spirit. But what of all the difference we see today in the body of Christ.
The reason is quite as complicated as it is simple. Before we start investigating into the cause of this differences, it is note worthy to state that the Bible had already spelled all this out. To the difference, one major character of the differences is culture. According to a work wide definition, culture can be defined as the way of life of a certain people. He way he dress, talk, walk, cook, eat and do all other things. Now, the center of Christianity, Christ, is from a Hebrew nation. He was Jew by birth and grew up in the tradition of the Jew even though he didn't approve of most of their conducts because of the various flaws he saw in there. Now, it will be quite hard for one who is not a Jew to truly seek the saviour if the access to him were restricted to the Jew language. But he didn't! Infact the Bible said those who shall worship God will worship him in Spirit and in truth! This is where the first blockage to true worship in Africa comes from. We feel like we need to do something, carry something or move something before we can serve God. But God said all he needs for us to truly serve him is for us to be in spirit and to worship him in all sincerity of our heart. Christian worships in Europe and other parts of the world aside Africa know this and don't really need much effort and force to worship the true God, Africans on the other hand though being very very religious are serve God in the flesh and without Sincerity. So, it is Israel all over ago if you understand what I mean.
Another major cause of the seemingly difference in the Christianity of Africans and others is what I call 'the shepherds cause'. A Shepherd as we all know is someone that tends and take care of a sheep or sheep. He provides the grasses the sheep eat, the water it drinks and the place it is supposed to move or stay. According to the Bible, pastors (or other men of God) are God's shepherds to lead God's people to him. But what do we see in the Nigerian church? A Shepherd skinny his sheep and feeding off it. Instead of feeding the sheep with the real word of God and the truth of his kingdom, rather he keeps a portion to himself, feed the sheep with malnourished feeds and starve them of the living water. He directs them to the path of wickedness and worldly possession and claims seeking first one's prosperity and happiness is Paramount as the kingdom of God can follow afterwards. I tell you, an average Christian in an average African church does not know why Jesus is the son of God and yet still God! They don't even know how to pray neither do they believe they can do anything without their pastor or a specific man of God. A person that learns about Christ in the internet is much more knowledgeable than an average African Christian. This is truly a sad occurrence, because Africa, by virtue of grace and the prophetic, is supposed to be a greatest representative of God's power and will but what we see is the direct impact. It has become so terrible that people now see God as powerless and his will weak since those that were supposed to be representing him are projecting the wrong image.
Let me highlight some problems this has caused. Firstly is the issue of the get-rich-quick schemes. Where do we think it sprout out from? It is from the church. The truth is poverty has been in African for a very long time even before the colonization era. What I mean is there is no nation without the poor, although colonization does set Africa backward. After Christianity has spread throughout Africa, poverty still persist and there were no cases of ritual killing as we have them today. People truly seek God with their hearts and might, Africans, Americans, polish, and all other races come together, wine together, sit together and see themselves as equals as far as they were Christians. God moved mightily through them with many signs, wonders, miracles, and power. Some men of God that held the move of God at the time were: Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola (co-founder of C.A.C. He was never anointed by any man to a ministerial office. He was a diligent church worker just seeking to please God and held his power), Bishop Benson Idahosa, Apostle Obadare, Evang. Daniel Kolenda, etc. Time and space won't suffice to list them talkless of discussing about their lifestyle but they all had one thing in common and that is genuine passion to seek and please God and God, according to his promises in his word, revealed himself into him. By what happened after this people? There was a sharp turn in both the doctrine of faith and the reason for faith.
Christian are supposed to give their lives to God and worship God because he alone is worthy to be worshipped and so they may grow in the knowledge of God to the maturity of Christ, but what is really happening? The message of salvation has turned to a message of prosperity, to a message of collecting money and aessage of growing in every physical ramifications but the spirit. I am not against making money (after all that one of the reasons I am here lol) what I'm saying is when that becomes the priority, everything becomes futility and a load of trash. Now since the members don't see what the pastor is preaching manifesting in their lives, they opt in to option B: ritual and fraud! Since the main focus to make sure the members are rich, getting it from somewhere else is not going to be an issue and believe many pastor, though know that the source of the wealth of their member is pure evil, they will still praise them, give them positions in the church and shower prayers on them, hence the lost of the true gospel!

Youth arise: say no to drug abuse

I have been so busy since the beginning of this week. I am trying to finish up with my report. It's not really easy like that but thankfully I have friends both here and physically who have given me motivation and strength to keep writing.
The issue of drug abuse is becoming rampant among the youths. In fact it's starting to become a normal thing and if care is not taken, we might find ourselves in a drug situation so dangerous that we might have to start banning all drugs just to curb it menance. Before I dive into the discussion, let's have a look at the definition of this term;
What is drug abuse?
According to Google dictionary:
**Excessive use of psychoactive drugs, such as alcohol, pain medications or illegal drugs. It can lead to physical, social or emotional harm.**
According to Wikipedia:
**Substance abuse, also known as drug abuse, is the use of a drug in amounts or by methods which are harmful to the individual or others.**
Where the first definition is correct to some extent, it is however limited to certain persons. Not all drugs are phycoactive in function, some are even passive in their function. But the second definition by Wikipedia gave a concise yet encompassing definition of what drug abuse really is. When you take a certain drug in a wrong amount or manner, no matter how common them maybe, you have abuse that drug. Funny thing is we even make little children abuse drug. I was speaking with a woman sometimes ago, we were discussing the issue of drug abuse and I told her that the actual truth of the matter is that we leave the seemly little ones and focus on the supposed dangerous ones. I told her that she had made her children commit drug abuse even without knowing. She denied it Frankly and vehemently stating point blank that she would never part take in abusing a drug.
I decided to break her ego and show her the real image of things I asked her how old her elder son was and she replied ten. I then asked if she had given him drug for headache before. She said yes and mentioned that she gave him paracetamol tablet. I asked how many tablets she gave him and she replied "the right dose, which is two". I just shook my head and asked her if she knew the proscription written on the package or from a medical doctor. She said no. It was then I told her that she has caused that boy to abuse the drug in that she was supposed to give him a tablet or even lesser. She was shocked and went to read the prescription written on the package and shouted that she was unaware and ignorant of that. And that's just one of the major reason for drug abuse.
Most people's abuse of drugs started from outright ignorance. We don't need to let abuse of substances get to the highest form before we start curbing it. We need to start from the very smallest appearance by following the instructions written by the manufacturer and the prescription written by a qualified doctor. If you are sick and you don't know what's drug to take or what quantity of dose to take, the best thing to do is to see a doctor or pharmacist to help you out not rack your brain on which drug to take or what quantity to take. Taken a drug without a prescription or information is drug abuse even if done with discretion.
Another major cause if drug abuse is peer pressure. Most youths get into drug abuse and taking of illegal drugs becksse their friends are doing it and they feel kind of left out. Some boys in my area who I used to know as very good boys just suddenly turned drug addicts and abusers because most of their friends from school are into it and they were feeling inferior and old school. I guess their friends must have said they are not exposed or living right or being a dummy or such things. But now they are doing it and they feel like they are doing the right thing and loving 'large'. The major disheartening thing about the whole issue is that some of them don't like it. In fact they feel bad after doing such, they know it's wrong and it's already affecting them but just won't stop it before of the backlashes they would probably get from their friends. Notice I used the word 'won't' not 'can't', this is because they can stop it because they have the ability (taking the meaning of the verb into consideration) but they won't stop it because of the aforementioned reasons. Although youths are very prone to submitting to peer pressure, but I believe if you don't want to do something (especially when it is bad), there is no reason to do even when others are doing or are cajoling you to. We all bear the responsibility for the actions we take, no one else will take it for us.
Some other reasons I think youths go into drug abuse are; the feeling of doing it because they have the money, irresponsibility on part of their parents, irresponsibility on part of the government, irresponsibility on part of the society, irresponsibility on part of the religious body especially the church and surely the attitude of youths towards drug abuse.
It's time we do all we can to stop this menance from spreading and destroying our youths. There are so many youth suffering from the effects of taking illegal drugs and much more are being rendered. In Nigeria, the cases of youths running mad or becoming something else due to taking of illegal drugs and abuse of drugs is on the increase. We all have our responsibilities to do, no contribution is too small or big in this fight against drug abuse. Youth arise. Let's all say no to drug abuse!

Some elements of Memories you probably don't know

Happy Sunday guys. I hope you enjoyed ever bit the service today? I did and I actually danced without minding who is looking today cos today is the Thanksgiving for the annual seventy days fasting and praying program we do observe in my church which ended last week Sunday. Everybody was super excited and ready to give their Hughes praise to God for giving them the grace to see the beginning and the end of the program and also for all the wonders been performed in the lives of each and everyone of us. All praise be to God Almighty.
On the issue of memories, I know it's a common word that is not strange to anybody as everyone has that one or two memories they hold dear. One of the things growth and development does for human is to sort of create memories of the past or of how things used to be in the brain of such individual. Although sometimes we may just sit down in a corner or in the corner of our minds and start reminiscing about the past and may even wish it could somehow come back, yet somethings also contribute to the function of remembering things that has happened in the past even when it is not a deliberate attempt on our part. I don't know whether there was a time you were passing along a street or just sitting down minding your own business and suddenly, memories of the past start coming to your mind even though you didn't summon it. Well it may be due to one or more of the following reasons:
A. **Smell**: sometimes, when we perceive some smell (especially) perfumes, we tend to remember a certain event, incident or person even without thinking about them before. This is because while we were with such persons or in a certain important event, a certain smell that was ascribed to that person or place was registered into our brain and whenever we perceive that smell**, Scents bypass the thalamus and go straight to the brain's smell center, known as the olfactory bulb** and remember that The olfactory bulb is directly connected to the amygdala and hippocampus, which might explain why the smell of something can so immediately trigger a detailed memory or even intense emotion. A certain lady passing by a perfume shop, stopped in her tracks and suddenly broke down into tears. When asked the reason for her action,she replied saying a particular fragrance of a certain perfume reminded her of a dear friend who passed away sometimes ago. She hadn't been thinking of that friend as of late, but the smell which her brain has come to register as the personality of her friend brought the memories back to her.
B. **Songs**: For me, this is by far the strongest of all elements of memories. Once you hear a song you play often in a certain place or with a certain person, you can almost see yourself going back to that day and place again. The feeling is so strong that you can even remember all that happened in details by that action. There was this time I went to write an exam in another state and we were grouped in four and allocated a room for each group. When I was there, a certain song was released that year and I really love the song, so I started playing it. Without exaggeration, I played that song over 150 times. Yeah, I can be like that sometimes; once there is a song I love, I tend to key into and listen to it over and over again till I can hear it play in my head without actually playing in real life. Weird right? That's just me😂. We started in that location for a month and some few days after which we left for our various houses. After getting home, I totally left listening to the song. Guess why? Well, it become I found another new release! After about 4 months later, I was at home watching a program when they started playing this song. I was totally overwhelmed with the memories of those days at the lodge we stayed. So, the music played at a certain place for a special person can really bring back memories of that place or person.
C. **Color**: This one is quite subtle in action but also effective. Colors can also bring back the memories of people we love or things we adore especially with it deals with a beloved one that as died or is far from one or people we sometimes loved before but severe relationship with.
D. **Food**: If you watch movies a lot, I'm sure you must have come by a scene in which a mother, for example, sees a type of food and just started thinking of how her son used to love that food or you must have seen a lover reminiscing of the good times shared with a lover just by seeing the picture of the food the lover love or maybe they eat it together. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, the certain food we commonly find in an important place or we do share with a person can bring back the memories of them in to our mind.
Conclusion
Memories of days spent with loved ones, or doing what we like best, or in places so important are by themselves important. But note for you to have a memory of something, you must have given your time to it. So, if you want people to remember you to, spend your time making memories with them or better still spend your time give them what they can not get very another. We have met a lot of People, gone to a lot of places and done a lot of things, but only those of importance (whether good or bad) will be registered for live in our memories.

Ever had that feeling that you have everything under control and you feel like you can always correct everything with a single stroke then all of a sudden, you find yourself in a very tight spot and it feel like to breath is even impossible? Well, that's what actually happened to me. Before I started my Field training practice, we were told that we would write a report of the training, submit it and we will be giving an oral examination based on what we have written. I had thought that I would start writing mine immediately after we end the training. But then came the ASUU strike that lasted for almost eight months or so and it kinds of feels like the student in me went on strike as well, because as so as I reach home after my training, everything about school just seemed to delete itself from my consciousness.
I actually started writing the report although for only 2 weeks then stopped cos I felt it was pointless rushing to write at that point in time since the school was on strike. Well, that was the last time I even remembered that I had a report to write. My mom would remind me and I will decide to continue writing it again but I'll just get pre occupied again and forge about. Then I heard the negotiation between ASUU and the federal government was beginning to be fruitful and I was like 'Jeez, I need to start to writing again o'. But guess what, I just left it alone again and continued my work. Although to be very honest, I only belittle the number of pages I was going to write and thought it will be a walk in the park.
Then, at the end of a day, I opened my class whatsapp group and saw messages stating that negotiation between ASUU and the federal government had gone deep and lookes like it was going to be really fruitful. I just swiped up and went to read other messages because I didn't just trust that the issue will be resolved by then. The federal government have been reluctant and very lackadaisical about the approach to solving this long time strike, I mean they have always been lackadaisical in their approach to solving any other matter that relates to the well being of it citizen. Take for example the flooding of the Niger Delta regions, they could have prevented that but they chose not to, why? Because they can! And there is nothing anyone can do about it, or so they thought and I don't frankly see anyone doing anything effective about it.
Three days ago, That is the 20th of this month, the exact date our brothers and sisters were gruesomely and unjustifiable killed by the government at lekki toll gate, a memorial walk was held at that same location to commemorate with the fallen heroes and what did our'wonderful and sensible' government do? They sent out the police to use tear gas and brute Force to discard the assembly and chase away the people there. Let me not even go into the other things that they have done which is not even writable in the first place cos it just too unreal and painful. But that's not the issue here. I swipe up and read other messages and left my report writing unattended to. Then the evening of that day, I read it in news that the ASUU body was holding a meeting to decide whether or not to suspend the strike. It was then I started thinking that maybe truly the strike was going to be called off and I started paying attention to writing my report.
Luckily I got the motivation of writing it again when a friend called me to tell me that she is finding it really difficult to continue writing her report even though she had written about three chapters where I haven't even written the preface lol. It was then it Dawn on me that what I might be thinking is very simple might in fact be very tedious. So, I started writing after getting that weird motivation from my friend. You know there is a way other people's failure or difficulty can create motivation for you to work hard and do the necessary things. Omo, e no easy I have written a lot and I'm not sure I have written half of it. That why I have been absent from this great platform. I pray I finish writing the report as soon as possible so I can interact more here.

Ever feel attached to something even though it may feel worthless to others?

I woke up quite late today which is unusual. Although I have been sleeping quite late since last week but I have not woken up as late as I did today. I woke up around 8:30 or there about. This is the latest I have woken up since about two weeks ago. It was even my neighbor that woke me up. She was about to lock the main burglary thereby locking me inside the house. I had to quickly jump up from my bed and shout that I was still inside so she won't lock me in. She was shocked that I was still inside due to the fact that I don't really come out quite often nor do I interact with my immediate neighbor. Since my padi padi neighbors are yet to resume.
Coming to the main topic, have you ever feel attached to something no matter how worthy or worthless they may? Whether it being a certain person, or object or idea, we all have something we hold dear to our hearts. I personally have had quite experiences of things like that. While I was a kid, there was this really cool toy my sister bought me as a Christmas gift. It was an automated remote controlled toy car. It was designed like a military armoured car with very big tires and some military figures attached to it which can be removed and bent to desired shapes and postures. The car had just what a kid like me would dream of as an awesome toy. I would play with it till I get tired (and I don't get tired of playing with it easily). I grew so attached to this toy so much that it drew me away from my circle of friends as I was always playing with it. Although some of my friends play with too, but I would quickly snatch it from them and run aways with it. I guess it became what that goblin in 'Lord of the rings' calls "*My precious*" cos it really seemed like a precious thing to me then.
I remember the day the you finally broke. It all started when I was playing with it and a friend of my snatched the remote form me and drove it on a very rough surface. The result was that the tire got removes hence making the toy summersaulted about 3 or 4 times. Some of the body parts got scratch and torn and I was so angry and sad at the same time. Thank God for the quick intervention of an elder around, I and that friend could have fought to the death (that was my plan anyways 😂). This boy was someone that was very close to me then. In fact we live in the same house and did a lot of things together. We have even fought off a thieve before but because of that incident, we didn't talk for like 2 months or so till our parents intervened. At the end, moved on although I didn't forget about the toy car easily, how could I? I spent a lot of time with it hence the memories of it was very much alive in my head. My mom even told me I do speak of it in my dreams. Hence, if you want to really give your best to something or someone, give them your time. Well, I forgot about it when my mom bought another toy much cooler than the first although, I didn't spent time with like I did with the first one.
That's just an example of an object I somewhat grew attached to as a kid. I remember also when my mom grew attached to a brand of phone she bought at that time. What's was the name again? I think it was a Tecno pad handset. Then, Android was just been introduced to the world. To be honest, that phone had some new graphics and easy to use navigations. My dad told my mom that he was going to get her a Samsung handset (an open and close type that was very much in Vogue then) and she would give my sister the Tecno with her. But she declined to the last saying she would not give up her phone for some other one. Rather she prefers to use that one even though it is old and Almost outdated while my sister should be given the new phone. The reason Why she grew so attached to that phone still eludes me. She would rather use an old phone than take a new one? There the time the phone was faulty and she took it to a repairman. They did all they could but could not resurrect the phone back to life. Due to my mom's persistence she ended up been dupped by those guys. She paid an amount she could have used to get a new one for the repair and at the end, it was repaired.
Maybe yours is a certain person or a certain smell or object or mindset, all I know is there that one thing you would have grow attached to. This brings the story of a housewife figure in Faceless to memory. She was so attached to her old rickety car that she even gave it a name and would even talk to it though non intentional but out of frustration. Her husband advised her to sell off the car and take some money from his account to buy a new one but it just seemed to the woman that her husband is been wicked and inconsiderate. Funny right? 😂
I guess humans can grow so attached to things that letting it go will look like the world is about to come to an end. I think this is why some people find is quite hard to leave their spouses when they are in a toxic relationship. They may think letting them go is equivalent to dying or creating a space no one can fill. But isn't that an illusion and a great deception nature as placed on us? Perhaps we placed it on ourselves, because when we eventually lose that thing, another which may be far better in all comparison to that one comes along and we quickly forget out pain and sorrow.

Popular Movies to be released soon

Happy Sunday guys. I resumed my church in Benin today. It's been a long time since I last attended the church. I was able to see Everyone and I just realized right there and then that I had missed them a lot. We had a lot of catch ups to do. I and one of my very good brothers chatted for a long time before departing to our various houses. It is so good to be back.
Let me use this medium to welcome all Nigerian university students back to school. ASUU finally suspended it prolonged strike wasting 8 months of our academic years but we thank God we are back. I hope we won't be interrupted again in our academic pursuit.
So many movies have been released since last year to this time. But among all those released, there are obviously some of them made it to the top list. I was able to watch the new release of Dr. Strange (the multiverse) although I watched it about two to three months back. A new part is to be released very soon and I bet it going to be really awesome. With Dr. Strange getting new powers from the dark book and the third eye, I think the next part should nothing be short of epic thriller. There is the new awaited part of Mobius. Incase you haven't watch or watched the first release, Mobius is a marvel incorporated real-life comic series. It tells the tale of how a severely anaemic patient tries to cure himself using genetic modifications from bats but at the end became a super human with quite a thirst for blood. He had to battle his formidable friend. You should really watch it. Although I have a hunch that he may be included in the avengers list but I don't really see him fitting in due to his blood thirst, night movement and the likes. Well, Batman did well, so why shouldn't he?
Moving to the tv series, there is a lot I'm waiting for starting from Abbatoir, a mount Zion film movie that proved to be exceptionally revealing and very helpful to overcome youthful battles and lust and with an entertaining storyline. It's one of the best Christian movie series of this time. You should also check it. Another very fantastic movie series produced by mount Zion films is Abejoye. This movie really made it to the top list of most watched movies in my country.
To other entertaining movies centered on sci-fi, love and suspense, a Marvel movies original series The moon Knight, takes the lead. I heard of this series very early this year but was able to watch it about 3 months ago. It is a very action packed movies. One thing I love about the series is the storyline as Egyptian history, gods and many more scientific materials were been used in the movies. You avatar right? Not the cartoon one rather I meant that tall bluish creature movie, that was released a long time ago, yeah, MoonKnight is just like that with the exception that it is not on another planet but on Earth. Also, the avatar here is a human while the driver is an or are Egyptian gods. It's a very interesting movie and I'm currently awaiting the release of next season.
Another popular movie series I am awaiting it next season is Squid game. I remember hearing of the movie from my friend and I refused blatantly to watch it then. I didn't want to watch it due to two main reasons:
1. Because it was a Korean movie and I am not a fan of Korean movies simply because most are based on love-lives and the likes.
2. Because it was too popular and really hyped. When movies, especially the secular ones are really hyped in my country, it most times means there is something else to it. Maybe like a nue scene or so. So, I always try to keep off film like that. I didn't even watch game of thrones for the same reason. But I decide to watch Squid game after one of my friend (whom I Know to be modest) told me about it. Thankfully, it turned out to be one of the best Korean drama I have watched that is after Alchemy of souls.
Next of course is Alchemy of souls. I got to know through this platform that it's not only popular here in my country but also in most countries of the world. I am really looking forward to watching the season 2 of this drama as I know you are. So many predictions, assumptions and analysis have been done as to what would happen in season two. What do you think will happen in the new season?
I think I will stop for here now, I really need to stop here so I can continue my report writing before school resumes. I seriously begging the student in me to resume and come back cos I need to complete this write up as soon as possible. Out of ten chapters, I'm not even sure I did the one I have done correctly. Oh well, we will see to it when school finally resumes. Man can not kill himself jare.

The difference between you and I

It's a new day from my part of the world. Surprisingly I woke up quite early today despite the fact that I arrived home very very late yesterday. I traveled back to school yesterday to sort out some issues as regards my house and also to attend to a very important business. I would have arrived early yesterday if not for the driver that wasted out time and made us take off around 6:15pm. I had to show him some hidden 'agbero' character I have in me. I guess to live in Nigeria, you need to show craze some times if not, they would just cheat you.
Different people, different personalities.
As arrived yesterday, I was shocked to see that most of the other tenants have already packed, leaving just very few of us. There is this particular neighbor of mine that I was informed as also packed. He was a very quiet and easy going person. I always wonder how he was able to maintain such tranquility and sanity considering where he works and who he hangs out with. He such a calm and very very sensible person. Then I decided to find out how he maintains such personality despite all. I decided to go speak with me and get close to him a bit. This is so unlike me. Looking back, most, if not all, of my friends were the ones that approached me first. This is because growing up, I have learnt to stay alone and made a lot of imaginary friends😂 But now, I'm not like that anymore. But during this break, I think I must developed it back.
Back to my neighbor, I met with him and had a brief discussion with him. I got to understand his view about life and his ideology as to how humans should react to things. One thing that keeps popping up in his statement is 'You are you and I am me, and that's not going to change!'.
The world is full of different persons with different personalities. People reason differently, react differently and move differently to different situations. Hence, we don't need to be exactly like another person. Yeah, it's good to appreciate and learn from the good morals or attributes of people but we can't really become them. The best we can become is like them, but not them. I guess what I'm saying in excess is; don't live your life based on others perception or ideologies. You have to carve out for yourself your way of life and mode of doing things. This don't in any ways negates looking up to someone or having someone as a mentor, No! But even at that, we should totally forget who we are and what we are capable of. In learning from others, it should be a plus to us not an eradication of who we are totally.
Many people in my country are forced to go into things they won't do on a normal day became they want to become a certain person. They want to look like, dress like, talk like or walk like a person and at the end, they end up losing themselves. God has created each and everyone with a special character and ability and trying to be someone else is like throwing all the wonderful things God has invested in you into a canal.
An internet fraudster was once caught and when he was interrogated, he said he was into fraud because of a friend of his. He said he wants to live like him (as his friend lives an extravagant lifestyle). At the end, he lost his dignity, his pride and now his time. Everyone is unique. You don't have to do something because any person does it especially when that thing is bad. The truth is nobody is being forced into commiting crime, it's all a matter of choice. When you choose the right choice, then the right thing will happen to you.
The uniqueness of man
During my secondary school days, we were taught during our biology class that no two human beings have the same identical finger print. When I first heard of that, I was really curious and doubting at the same time as to how possible that is. You know we live in a world of numbers and patterns and if you observe carefully, certain patterns and numbers tend to pop up at the same thing either coincidentally or not. So, I've always thought that hypothesis to be wrong. Or we should take to cognisance the people that have lived since the introduction of finger print technology, at least two persons must have a finger print that will match each other exactly, but frankly, it has never occured! Is that wonderful? It means I am the only me for ever. No one can think exactly like me, walk exactly like me, talk exactly like me, eat or do any other thing exactly like me. So, if I'm the one me in the universe, why will I then want to become another person. I'll be denying the my uniqueness and existence and in fact be taking another's identity and personality. And the the advent of doing this, I will lose my originality.
One thing I love about the human mind is the ability to adapt, restructure and reprogram itself. This means that we can become a better version of ourselves. We can work on ourselves to become better to become outstanding.
The difference between you and I
The difference is very wide. It can't be measure with any known measuring method. We are two very different people. This also extends to your friends, family and relations. You are two very different persons. A child may resemble his parent in one way or the other, yet they can never be the same person. If they are alike in mode of dressing they may not be alike in terms of colors. If they are alike a little bit facially, they certainly won't be alike in their Pattern of thinking. Hence; You are you and they are they.

Everyone is an Author

As far you are here on this great platform, it's shows that you must have written an article or two before; whether short or long, inspiring or other wise, about BCH, the economy, politics, education, life, or random writing, The most important thing is you have written some thing in the past and may probably write another very soon.
So, you may probably know who an author is then. But for the sake of those of us who don't, let me define who an author is;
An author is: The originator or creator of a work, especially of a literary composition.
Someone who writes books for a living; a bookwright.
The above definitions give an elaborate meaning to who an author is. First is that he is an originator, a creator of a work. Let me at this juncture introduce the real ideaology behind the topic. Everybody on this planet Earth is an author! We are all an originator and a creator of a work. Now that kind of work is dependent on who we and what kind of lifestyle we lead.
You are an author and you write on the sand of time with your life and day to day activities. The decisions you make, the choices you choose, and the actions you take all sum up to be the things you write with your life. You create and bring to being those things which weren't when you make certain decisions. Just like a profession script writer who writes skillfully, and like an editor who removes and adds to a publication, you also create (write, add and subtract) what will be read in the hearts of men and will be remembered by people.
Do you really think there is someone who will not be remembered? Well I don't so. Even if there is a person that doesn't have any relative or friend, there are people who he interacts with that will still remember him. Even if for the fact of passing by a street, he will be remembered. How much more when he is know for a thing or two. This made me remember the story of a madman that lives around a locale.
I was in the taxi that day heading somewhere. Some people were in the taxi and were discussing about the various matters. One particular topic got my attention. It was about a madman who was said to have died three days prior to that day. According to them, his name was 'jollof rice' as he was said to always go to the dump hill looking for leftovers and whenever he sees it he will shout 'Jollof rice'. He was said to be very kind to those around where he stays. He was even said to have foiled a theft attempt once although that always made him lose an arm as the robbers cut him on his hand. He was somewhat liked by those around him and they would give him some things. Then one day, he was said to have gone to a gutter to have a drink from the dirty muddy water. He was eating a dirty bread along side the dirty water. Then, one kind man coming from an event, saw him and was displeased about this. So, he gave the madman the food with him which was real jollof rice. The madman took it from him, sat down and began to eat. It was said that after 30mins, he started vomiting and before you know it, he gave up the ghost. Most people speculated that the sudden change in food must have killed him. But that's not the real issue here, what I want to point out is that even a madman was remembered even after his death.
So many people have created bad and terrible things with their lives, some have created good things with theirs. Think about it, you have created a thing or another with your daily lifestyle, decisions and way of thinking. Whatever you have written with your life, that's what you'll be remembered for.
Destiny redefined
One of the major service providers in Nigeria, MTN, gave a new touch to their service providing strategy. They included sending quotes whenever a customer calls using their Network. I hooked on on one of those. The quote goes thus;
**Thoughts become actions, actions become habits, habits become characters, characters become behaviours, behaviours become destiny!**
So, in a nutshell, what this means is that the basic unit of destiny is Thought. If a person who is supposedly destined to be great in life would be great only if he has that thought in him. Criminals that have been sentenced to death may take that as their destiny but in actually fact, they chose it when they first thought about committing that crime.
They wrote their own destiny by themselves. Let me cite an example from the Bible. The Israelites rebelled against God and asked for a king. God looked throughout Israel searching for the right person who, in our language, will be said to be destined for king. God saw Saul, empowered and made him the king of Israel. He was destined to be the right hand of God and continue to act as the weapon of vengeance of God on Earth but he chose to do contrary. And the result was that God rejected him immediately and tore the kingdom from him. The result was the destroyed his entire lineage including his son, Jonathan.
Now, it wasn't Jonathan's fault to die like that, but another wrote his destiny with actions. Who have you destroyed or helped by your actions and thought? What have you lost or gained by your actions and thought?
It actually doesn't end in this planet Earth only. It continues in a realm beyond this world. A day is coming when all you have written with your life and thoughts shall be read in the presence of everyone. Then you will be rewarded by the content of those things. So, write well, be conscious of your thoughts and actions. For you give account for them.

Happy Sunday to you all. Hope you enjoyed today's service like I did? I have thought of what to write about today and nothing seems to be coming. Hence, I decided to write on some random posts like answering some questions, giving some hints and giving some fun facts.
Random questions to answer
What European country would you like to travel to?
It my dream to travel to The United kingdom and visit so many places there especially London. I hope it I get the chance soon
What's your best food?
Although I'm not really a foodie but I don't also joke with my stomach. I don't like going hungry especially when I'm not in any '*program*'. The food I enjoy eating the most are jollof rice (Nigerian jollof to be precised) and pounded yam with Egusi soup (don't mind me, I'm native to the core lol). Growing up, I actually love eating meat a lot. I remember then, I would stay with my mom in the kitchen whenever she's frying meat and I would just squeeze my face and form sad face. Then my mom would ask what the matter was, I would just struggle my shoulder and keep at it till she would give me a piece of meat. Eating meat made me love Christmas a lot as I get to eat meat to my full. But I can't do that anymore because of my teeth. Anything I see meat especially the fried one, all I could do was wish I could eat.

Do you have any food you dislike?
Ah yes! Growing up I don't really dislike any food apart from yam flour. I just hate that food from the color to the taste. Apologies for the lover of this particular food. I wonder how you people enjoy it. But I guess we all have our preferences. During the recent years, some food have been added to the list, they are: Eba (I'm kinda allergic to this as I would start experiencing stomach disorder, start visiting the toilet very often, and would be generally weak), Pupuru (this is a new food developed by the Yorubas. Pupuru is actually nice, but one problem is it easily attracts dusts and particles.) and okro soup (I guess my mom made me dislike this soup because she used to cook it very often then so I easily grew tired of it. I don't even want to have anything to do with it.
What about eating outside?
I am a very shy person. I don't like eating outside, although for not only because I am shy but always because I don't trust the process with which the food is been made. I prefer home made foods. Whenever I am outside and not able to make food, I opt in to taking snacks with egg row been my favorite. In fact some of my friends have come to know me as an egg row lover lol. Although the buns does not really have much nutritional value, the egg is actually very high in protein content. So, the buns serve as a taste object in my mouth and the egg help provide protein for my body.

Getting better at graphic design and photoshop

Before anything I want to really appreciate you guys for your sympathy, prayers and encouragement on my aunt's incident. I shared it with you guys in my last article, and I must say I was shocked at the response and comment I got from you guys. I wasn't really expecting it. So, I deem it worthy of the highest standard to thank you guys for the concern shown. I pray no evil shall befall each and everyone one of us. Merçi beaucoup Mes Amis 🙏🙏🙏
Also, as I have hinted in some of my articles, I have resumed my graphic design and photo editing training. Although I started first online with one of the greatest graphic designer and photo editor of this age been my 'secret' mentor that's the person of **Benny,** I last reasoned to also apply for a physical training as I can see things first hand, ask questions directly and also get more detailed explanations from my tutor. And although I initial wanted to learn more of Photoshop and it short cuts, I was in fact introduced to Corel draw. It's a cool tool and all I can say about it is that for quick jobs, it's the best tool you can use. But in terms of graphics, lightning, and editing, it is no where close to Photoshop. Photoshop is just the best.
Anyways, I guess I can say the training is starting to pay off as I can now design a little bit more appealing designs unlike before. I guess all that's been holding me back is my imagination. As a graphic designer the only difference between you and another graphic designer is how far your imagination can take you. What I'm saying in essence is that you are only restricted by imagination and perception when it comes to graphic designing.

School resumption
For about 8 months now, students of the federal universities in Nigeria have been at home due to strike embarked upon by the Academic body of the university which go by the acronym ASUU. It and the federal government of Nigeria have been dragging this issue of non payment of staffs for sometimes now and the fight finally landed in court. Guess who won? Well it's not ASUU, it's the federal government. Come to think of it, I don't think ASUU has a chance of winning at all, cos the court is also managed by the government and in present day Nigeria, it's actually hard for anyone to win the government in court (home based court that is), except if they want you to win.
Anyways, since the court had ordered the body to go back to work, there has been rumors going around hat we might resume soon. Let's see if it will come to pass.
I need to stop here for tonight. I need to go and catch some sleep so as to wake up early for tomorrow's service.

Emergency visit to the hospital
*Hello friends*,
I woke up quite early today and this is due to the fact that I sleep very early yesterday. I've gotten accustomed to sleep very late. The earliest time I go to bed is around 11.50pm and above. But I had to go to bed very early yesterday because was very tired, weak and dizzy. Waking up this morning, all refreshed and ready to go take on the day's job, I could hear my mom on the phone.
At first I was indifferent to her conversation, I mean why would I? I don't like eavesdropping to other people's conversation. In fact I try as much as possible to move away from there especially when it's a confidential matter. I believe phone conversations should be private and respected except if you are called to contribute or be a part of the conversation. Anyways, as she proceeded in her conversation, I couldn't help but listen to her words and try to decipher what the conversation was about. This is because of the way her tone suddenly went high and shaky. She was apparently scared and immediately she dropped the call, I could hear her praying, casting and binding some unseen forces she believes were at work. I was worried so I went to meet her in her room and asked what the problem was.
It was then she told me that one of my aunts has been admitted in the hospital cos she was in child labour. At first I was relieved and told her it's a good thing and she need not to worry. But her next statement shock my bones to the marrow. She told me that my aunt has been admitted since yesterday morning and up till the evening of the day, she hadn't giving birth due to some complications. I was afraid after hearing that cos. We prayed for her and wished her strength.
I had to quickly rush into the bathroom and took my bath so I can go with my mom to visit my aunt in the hospital. At first my mom was annoyed with the turn of event because throughout all this happenings, my aunt didn't deem it fit to call my mom about her situation even though they were living very close to each other. Rather, she chose to call another person that was miles away in another local government area. That was bad of her and my mom felt like she doesn't regard her nor count her worth to be included in her affairs. She didn't even want to go and see her again but on another thought, she decided to go saying she is doing for God's sake.
Long story short, we left home, took a taxi and got to the hospital. We met her mom there and two other persons which we later know as her church members. My other aunt met us there and she was equally annoyed with the fact that though she lives in the same and town with her, she didn't call her to inform her of her situation but went ahead to call another person living very far from her. It was this my aunt that told me the real situation of things. She had been rushed to the hospital after bleeding profusely from her under. At the hospital, she was told that the baby had died and has already been torn to piece in her womb. They had to carry out a ceasarean Section on her do as to remove the dead foetus. It's such a sad occurrence, but we thank God for sparing her life.
I have always heard of miscarriage cases but never have I witnessed it. What I mean to say is it has never happened to anyone close to me before, so this is the first and I pray the last in Jesus name. We had to stay at the reception hall for close to an hour because we were told that the patients in the post natal wards are havinv their morning check up. After an hour, we were allowed to go into the ward and I was able to see my aunt. It was not a pleasant sight at all. She was devastated and sad. You could see the frustration, depression and sadness written all over her face.
I greated her, sad on a chair beside her bed and kept greating her because to be honest, I really don't know what to say. After some minutes, I told her I was able to take my leave that I have to get to work on time. She thanked me for coming to see her and I promise to come check on her another time.
It is never a joyful nor pleasant experience when one loses one's baby, whether foetus or fully developed. I pray God grant her quick recovery and a successful one next time. To all the pregnant women in our society, I pray for quick and successful delivery in Jesus name. Amen.

Self-inadequacy

Happy new month to you all Readcashers and I'm using this opportunity to wish all Nigerians on the platform a happy independence month, may God restore the dignity and strength of Nigeria a thousand folds.
Last week Saturday, been the first of October, was indeed a memorable day for all the youth of **THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH NIGERIA, LAWNA TERRITORY, AKURE CHAPTER, IWALEWA AREA**. We had our youth convention which started on Friday, 31st of September, 2022. But the main event took place on Saturday. It was indeed a power packed service and we bless God for the success of the day. All praise and glory to God Almighty through his son Jesus Christ, Amen.
Self inadequacy
The theme for this year's youth convention is "**DO NOT DESPISE THINE YOUTH**". The preacher who spoke yesterday taught on 'How Timothy is a good example to today's Christian believers'. At first, I wanted to disagree with the topic because I thought within myself that why include Christian when believer as been written but then I quickly realise that the stage of Christianity as since formed a definite distinction between a believer and a Christian. But that's a topic for another day.
Timothy was a young, if not the youngest bishop (pastor) of that time. He was around 25 years old when he started heading a church and he was a potege of Paul the apostle. He was what we can refer to as the spiritual son of Paul. Now, Paul wrote a letter of admonitions to him telling to be courageous and not fear or let his youth be despised. The question here is why would Paul need to write to Timothy telling him to be courageous and not let anyone despise his youth?
Well, the answer to this is not far fetched. Timothy, young man without any experience in terms of leading or heading a church nor was he familiar with the people there, was asked to go head, not even a small assembly but a might congregation. For you to understand what I am saying, let me give you the breakdown of the church info.
The Ephesian church.
The church is situated in Asia and was Co founded by Paul and Barnabas. Paul stayed in the Ephesus for a duration of 3 years while he was on his way back from his second missionary journey.
The Ephesian church is the only church that had two writers of bible (apostles that is) write to them. The first been Paul and the other been John the beloved.
The Ephesian church had many great teachers and ministers. Apollo, Paul, Aquila are some of them.
The prophetic and apostolic gifts and power was actively manifested to and by the church.
The church had great understanding of the scriptures.
Jesus even attested to the fact that the church of Ephesus scrutinized and test even those called apostles.
The church of Ephesus are very strict and uncompromising when it comes to spiritual matters. Hence they are very mature.
Thus, it is normal that Timothy, not even an apostle but a young bishop, be afraid and trembling. But Paul his father told him; 'Dont be afraid of them or think lowly of yourself'.
This strikes a point in my heart. You will only be regarded the same way you regard yourself! If you think highly of yourself, people will eventually think highly of you. If you think lowly of yourself people will see you as a low person. Hence, the value you give to yourself goes a long way in what people will see you as.
Never think you are not worth respect or attention or good and luxurious things. You are worth more than those thing. Paul told his son, never be afraid. He continued by saying he should be strong in the Lord and his doctrines. He should never be swayed by what others say or do. So also, we too must never be swayed by useless thinking, genealogies, doctrines, commandments or ideologies. For us to do this, we, ourselves, must know what the truth is. You can't give what you don't have! So, grow in power, in wisdom and in the grace and love of God. I guess what I'm saying in essence is that all you need to overcome to succeed is your self inadequacy.
The preacher said something I find noteworthy. Although I have written an article on it before, yet I find it good to repeat it. He said 'it is said that knowledge is power, I disagree. Knowledge on it own is never power. But knowledge when put to action because wisdom which is power!' So, when I say grow in wisdom, I mean, acquire knowledge and put it to action. Potential knowledge as never done any good or bad thing only progressive and kinetic knowledge.

The power of your imagination

In my recent post I made a statement which kind of birthed this one. The statement goes thus;
Everything we see today starting from the smallest pin to the largest plane stated with imagination.
So, today we are going to look at what imagination is, it's important, it's evil side and how to derive power from it. Sit tight and enjoy the ride😁
IMAGINATION
Let's have a quick look at the meaning of imagination
According to Wikipedia;
Imagination is A mental image formed by the action of the imagination as a faculty; a conception; a notion; an imagining; something imagined
The image-making power of the mind; the act of creating or reproducing ideally an object not previously perceived; the ability to create such images.

There are moments we have wishful thinking and at that very moment, like a diligent expert script writer, we start arranging images in my head and giving life to things that weren't before as though they are. We begin to stage plays, eliminate characters and create new ones. And at the very end we either wish for those things to come out into the real world or we desperately pray they don't!
All in all, Imagination can be a weapon for good or bad.
It is expedient to say that imagination is a realm. It is actually a soulish realm, where thoughts and the minds are put in alignment. It is so important you know this because what you do in this realm can go a long way in affecting your mind, your brain activity and even your general physical well being.
Let me cite an example here: suppose you entered a room with no light that is a room full of darkness, and you are not familiar with such environment, a sense of fear and cautiousness will fall on you, not because you have seen any thing that an cause harm to you but because, your imagination will be put to play due to various things you have heard or watch. Hence, at the sound of any sound especially a fearful one, you will run out of the room. It isn't cowardice rather it's natural instinct.
God's perception about imagination
**2 Corinthians 10:4-5**
**[4](For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)**
**[5]Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;**
This is a popular Bible verse, but most don't really get the ideology behind this verses. Remember Paul the apostle already told us we are not warring against flesh and blood but principalities and power and rulers of the dark realm and spiritual wickedness in high places, but here he gave us the weapons we need to use to overcome these warfare because truly there is a war going on and you have to be equipped to win it.
Now, let me point your attention to the something crucial verse 4 is saying; Know that God is the one that strengthens anything you have to become a powerful weapon to defeat the enemy. Know that you don't derive power from within, rather it comes from without, from God. Once you realise this, you won't focus on your own ability or power because truly God gave man an independent power. This power is contained in the soulish realm albeit it is limited in form, and it is in it own self ungodly.
Back to imagination as a weapon, God empowers your imagination to become a weapon to overcome all the warfare the devil and his cohorts may direct towards you.
There are imaginations, thoughts and knowledge that are contrary to God and are destructive to your well-being. But you need the power of God to pull them all down. A sister called me this morning to share the situation of her friend with me. She said she (her friend) is experiencing some difficult situations which include insomnia, getting afraid for no reason, perpitation of the heart and increased heart beat, all for no reason at all. She said she only notice that bad, fearful and dangerous thoughts just comes into her mind even without thinking towards such directions and the result is those things I have mentioned. These are the warfare of the devil; evil imagination and knowledge contrary to the will of God. You need to equip your mind and spirit with the word and love of God.
A person once testified that sometimes ago she was living in constant fear, evil imagination and instability of the mind and this affected her finance, health and relationship with others in no small way. She become drawn away from human relations and the more she draws herself away the more she gets infested by this evil. And when she tried to get closer to people, she ended up either hurting them or they running from her. But when she met the Lord Jesus, she was completely healed of that condition and the imagination that once troubled her became a means of worshipping God and birthing good ideas into the world
Conclusion
Jesus gave a final call to all;

How to overcome depression part 2

I have so busy since yesterday and just got free this Morning so I decided to post write the second part of my previous article. I planned to write this article by 11 am earlier yesterday, but my work schedule couldn't allow me do so. I am even writing now to fulfil the promise I made that I was going to write the part two of the previous day's topic.
How to overcome depression
Last time I stopped at avoid watching bad or sad news and I stated some reasons for this. If you would like to read it please click this link.
Moving on, let's take the other points now, shall we?
**Be contented;** The lack of contentment is the major reason why so many people experience Dysthymia. They covet and long for the things of others all day long and when they can't get it, they become sad and depressed. James the apostle, address this kind of issue in the Bible. Read it below;
**James 4:1-3**
[1]From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
[**2]Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain:** ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
[3]Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
A popular quote in French says 'Que Sera, sera' that is 'whatever will be will be'. Why not just chill and make do with what you have. You don't need flashy clothes, a big mansions or an expensive car to live, so why bother about them? A guru once gave a nice precept:
Do you have a problem? Yes. Can you solve them? No. So, why worry?
Do you have a problem? Yes. Can you solve them? Yes. So why worry?
Do you have a problem? No. Then why do you even worry?
Yeah, I know there are times that you may feel downcast when you don't have what you are supposed to have but you have to take your mind off your problems sometimes. Worrying never give good result. Instead of worrying, pray, work and be hopefully then you will see things turn around for your good.
**Be thankful in all situation**; This is actually a result of contentment. Only a contentment person can give real thanks for those things he has. Instead of worrying for those things you don't have, give thanks for what you have. There is always something to give thank for. Forget that you don't have that things yet, Give thanks to God that you are alive, healthy, breathing and kicking. Only a living person can achieve anything, A dead person can do nothing, can achieve nothing and can take in nothing.
**Work on your imagination**: one of the major powers God gave man is the ability to create imaginations. Imaginations are so powerful so much because everything you see today was birthed through imagination. From the smallest pin to the biggest plane, it's all started from imagination. Currently, scientists are working on reducing aging in man and it all started from a man's imagination: imagine living for a hundred years with no wrinkle. As good as imaginations are, if not channeled towards the right direction and purpose, it can be very dangerous and negative in impact. The birth of Boko Haram in Nigeria and other terrorist group in the world started in the imagination of a wicked heart. Before a rape crime is been committed, it is been first executed in the imagination of the heart. So also is depression. When you start imagining evil things, bad occurrence or negative things, you are only opening yourself up to depression. So, make your imaginations pure. Be positive, be pure in think For the Bible says;
Bless are those who are pure in heart (have pure, clean and consistent imaginations) for they shall see God.
You will become what you imagine. So, imagine right!

How to over depression

Yesterday, been Sunday 25th of September 2022, went really well for me. I decided to worship in another church which I was invited to. This is actually my first invitation in a very long time, so I decided to take it up and use that opportunity to explore other worship centers and I wasn't disappointed. I thank for his mercy over the church and the saints in general.
The silent demon; depression
According to an Wikitionary, depression is defined as;
(*psychology*) in psychotherapy and psychiatry, a state of mind producing serious, long-term lowering of enjoyment of life or inability to visualize a happy future
(*psychology*) in psychotherapy and psychiatry, a period of unhappiness or low morale which lasts longer than several weeks and may include ideation of self-inflicted injury

Hence, that feeling of sadness, gloominess and general unhappiness or even anxiety over a long period of time can be termed depression. People get depressed for a different reasons and I can say we all have had our moments of depressions before whether short or long. In which ever case, you would agree with me that that feeling isn't a nice one as it drains one of morale, strength, Joy, appetite and ability to focus.
Where most people might experience depression for a short period of time due to a particular event, others have a chronic medical condition of depression which is called Dysthymia. They just feel sad, not worthy to live, gloomy and demoralised all the time. They feel like just giving up on everything and don't really seem to have a reason to live for. The more you try to get them to do something worthwhile, the more they see the discouragement in it. They are just plain sad. This persistent medical condition can be close by tragic events that happened during their childhood or at some point in the life that has left them so heart broken and depressed. Another cause of this is the spiritual aspect in which the soul of that person is been tormented by demons or familiar Spirit.
Whichever the cause, there are ways of curing this bad condition.
I'd like to talk about the spiritual aspect first, because it deals with the soul and spirit of a man and if the soul and Spirit of a man are in peace and stability, then the outward actions and vibe will be in peace and tranquility. Just as I have sad, demons or familiar spirits can afflict one's soul and cause long lasting depression with unexplainable origin. To this, one needs a stronger and much more powerful Spirit to take control and deliver one from these depression causing spirits. The only spirit ever known to do this is the Holy Spirit and you can only have him when you give your life to Jesus. He will deliver you and help you remain in that state of deliverance. He is he spirit of Christ and he shall give you peace and Joy for Jesus is the Prince of Peace and to unspeakable Joy of God. So, what are you waiting for? Why not run to Jesus today and get delivered from those wicked spirits?
**To the psychological aspect**; I love to always look at things in the spiritual and physical aspect, although the spiritual always comes first. A person may not necessarily be torment by demons, it may be due to an event that happened causing the depression experienced. For example the death of a loved one or been sacked from work or promise and fail situations, etc. In this case one needs both the spiritual and psychological assistance. The spiritual assistance can be gotten from God's word; this will sooth your mind and give you peace. Then the physical which is as follows;
Decided to be happy. This is actually the first step before every deliverance both spiritual and physical. You must decide to be happy no matter what. Your decision will help facilitate your recovery.
Surround yourself with optimistic and positive people and object. It's true that the world is in two sides; good and bad, but a person trying to overcome depression doesn't need to bother himself or herself with negative or pessimistic stuffs. You need to surround yourself with people that can give you positive vibes, people that are optimistic and tend to see the good in a situation more than he bad. You needed to surround yourself with positive, optimistic and pure objects. Pure in the sense that it won't trigger sadness or anxiety. For example, a person trying to overcome depression shouldn't watch brutal movies or depressing objects. Rather, he or she should watch more of funny, love inspiring and person developmental movies.
**Leave the present task**; If the cause of the depression is a task you are to complete, it is best you leave it for sometime. Take a break for it. Go out, have fun or engage in other activities, leisure activities to be specified. There is no point in continuing doing a thing causing you depression. You won't even be productive in that state. So, why not give yourself a break. You can always come back to when you have strengthened your mental state and with much courage, enthusiasm, vigor and intellectual capability.
**Avoid bad and sad news**; In my country, cases of people slumming and dying is getting rampant these days and they all have one thing in common; BAD NEWS. A man was said to have suddenly slum and died in his work place when he heard from the news that some terrorist attacked a community. It was said that he had been treating prolonged anxiety and Dysthymia for sometimes before the incident. So, shun bad or sad news for now and focus on the good ones. Make yourself happy. You deserve it and your life depends on it!

Extraordinary animals discovered recently

As you are all know I am an adept nature lover especially animal part. Recently while I was checking my unread messages from Quora, I found one interesting topic and decided to check it out. Turns out that it was about newly discovered animal species. I was so thrilled that I decided to look it up on Google and some of the animals listed very so extraordinary and fascinating. I know you'd loved them. Without much Ado, let's go to the lists Shall we?

World's smallest reptile
You know what a reptile is right? For those of us who don't, they are the class of animals who have dry scaly skins and usually lay soft layered eggs on or in the earth surface. Lizards, snakes, and so on belong to this class of animals. So, researchers recently discovered what is now thought to be the world's most smallest reptile in northern Madagascar. It is a very small chameleon named *Brookesia nana*, or *B. nana* for short.

One sad thing about this discovering is that the discoverers indicated that this tiny reptile is soon to be placed on the criticaly endangered species 😢 Well this is due to the killing of this animals deliberately or indeliberately by both man and predators. One thing I find exciting is the anatomy of this animal. Maybe I'll write about it some days.
Oh look! It's a cloned animal!
Ever heard of cloning? Yeah I know you have. For the first time in forever, the United States' scientist have successfully cloned a native animal almost extincted. The animal was cloned from the extracted celle of a long dead wild animal's body. I serious hope they keep up with it so as to help save more species going into extinction.
But is there a side effect to this? Let me in the comment section of you know of any.
Fascinating! It's an acrobatic dancing spotted skunk of North America
These acrobatics (so called for their feat to perform handstands and walk about to warn predators of a forthcoming noxious gas), they are the cousins of the much familiar stripped skunks of the world. It's cool to see an animal do a handstand and walk om them, but when you are been sprayed, I don't think it's cool anymore, is it?
I can shrink and regrow my brain
We have seen and heard of animals performing regeneration of body parts at a very fast rate, but have you ever heard of an animal that an shrink and regrow it's brain before? Well, let me formally introduce the newly discovered Indian jumping ants that inhabits Indian western coasts. They actually shrink their brain when ever a queen is about to be chosen amongst them. The workers compete and the winner who is able to shrink it's brain to about 25% or less is crowned the queen ( in a metaphoric sense of course).
Now there is a reason for this brain shrinkage, the more the brain shrinking the larger the ovaries become. So the winner will most likely be able to bring more offsprings into the world. After the competition, the participants are able to shrink their ovaries and expand their Brains back to their normal sizes. This is cool isn't it. I like to think of them as the Mr. Elastic of the animal world.

Hold the fort not the loses

Just As I hinted yesterday, I am not able to write much these days due to two major reasons;
Because it's been a while since I last wrote on this platform
My graphic design and printing training is taking my time.
So, I am only trying to keep up and write at least one per day.
This is one hymn I enjoy singing a lot while I was growing. It was originally composed by Phillip Paul Bliss. The man got the inspiration to write this song after hearing an action packed Civil War story by Major Daniel W. Whittle. The summary of the story is that during the war of Union army and the Confederate of French, Major P.P Bliss' army were surrounded and almost captured by over 6 thousand French soldiers. They were given the choice to voluntarily Surremder or risk being killed but they refused and resorted to fighting the French soldiers. They had previously sent signals to their head Garrison requesting for help and just as they were been pinned to a small space and were about to be extinguished, an officer caught sight of a white signal flag far away across the valley, twenty miles distant, upon the top of Kenesaw Mountain. The message was 'Hold the fort; I am coming. W.T Sherman'. This created no small morale in the soldiers as they stood their ground and fought with bravery even though they had been badly injured with half of them been killed already and Major Daniel Whittle had already been shot thrice on the head but they were saved at the very end. They would have become the French slave if they had surrendered.

Relating this to our daily lives, holding the fort and determining not to succumb to depression, hardship and the troubles of everyday life is a signal of strength, a trait of the men of valor. Just like Major Daniel and his men didn't hold on to defeat or to the counting of the bodies of their men but rather stayed determined to see that battle to the end, we should give up also no matter what. A popular quote says; "*WINNERS ARE NOT QUITTERS AND QUITTERS ARE NOT WINNERS"* everyone that would be great must be prepared to hold on even in the face of terror, hardship and defeat. We all just need to hold in a little bit. Most of the internet fraudsters in my country are people who have given up on legitimate ways of making money and are convinced that if they don't take the path of evil, they will never amount to anything. But those that decided to keep true to the good sides are never left disappointed.
As for those of us experiencing pain or sadness caused by one occurrence or the other, all we need do is to endure because nothing lasts for ever. Sooner or later, the issue will be resolved and we would smile again. So keep holding, keep enduring.
The reason many people give up easily is that they keep their eyes on their wounds, their loses and their pain so much that they don't seem to see a solution or an ending to their problems. They then resort to grumpling, murmuring and anger just like the Israelites at the red Sea, who chose to rather die in Egypt than see the possibility of going into the promise Land. It's not their fault that they lose heart and are discouraged, truth is no one likes pain and suffering and sometimes, it feels like giving up and succumbing to the Present reality, but remember, Nothing lasts forever. So, keep going. No surrendering, No retreat.
No matter how bad the situation of things may seem, know that it is not forever. You too will be celebrated one day. Giving up or commiting suicide is not an option. It is not the time to count your loses, rather it's the time to re strengthen and re-strategize yourself. Just as Major Daniel held the fort and endure the heat of the battle and was given his life and freedom as reward, so also we would triumph of we care to hold the fort and forgo the loses.
