When You Feel Tired, Slow Down, But Don't Stop
March 25, 7:40 AM
This is just my third article in the last seven days. That two-day trip to Antique and back may have drained me more than I thought. (Read: Our First Adventure to Antique- Malumpati Cold Spring). Nevertheless, that trip was more than worth it. I haven't written about the second day.
Greetings awesome read.cash friends, and writers. It's Friday again already. It felt like it was just yesterday when we had that short vacation. Yes, I felt drained in the past seven days. Probably, I was so tired from that trip, or because of this scorching summer heat!
I usually write late in the evening. However, doing so often kept me awake up to 11 in the evening. Since my body clock is set to wake up around 4:30 in the morning, that means I usually sleep less than six hours per day. I need to change my routine. That's why I am writing this in the morning. But I want to do my writing before anyone here wakes up.
Exhausted
I always felt exhausted in the past few days. Again, perhaps an aftermath of that tiring trip, or probably because of the summer heat. I can normally finish writing an article in less than an hour. Maybe two or three if I need to do some research. But it took me more time than that to finish my last two articles. And I spent some time preparing the photo collage for my next article. The second part of our trip.
Since November, I have been able to upload about 25 articles per month. This month, I only have 15 so far. Making this my 16th article and there are only six days left for March. Wow! Time really flies!
Take It Slow, But Do Not Stop
This is one thing I learned though. True, I got exhausted. But it does not mean I have to stop writing. I just took it slowly. Normally, I push myself to finish an article in one sitting. Just like now, I have enabled my Promodoro timer again. But in writing the last two articles, I think it took me two to four sessions to finish each. Moreover, it took me more than a day to finish each.
Slow, but I did not stop. I think that's what we should always do. What I should always do. Yes, I need to be consistent. I need to be persistent. But there are times when I need to slow down.
I recall whenever I do my morning jog, I would occasionally take it slow and walk. What is important is, I don't stop.
Same thing with my life in general. There are times I get exhausted in pursuit of my goals. That is normal. We need to take a rest from time to time. Even God commanded to give a day per week for rest. It's the only way to recover our strength.
As Confucius says:
"It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop."
In Closing:
We are only humans. We have our limits. We get tired. We get exhausted. In pursuit of achieving the goals we often encounter obstacles. Sometimes we think of stopping. We think of quitting.
But quitting will only ensure that we will never get to where we wanted to. We can take slow from time to time. But we should never stop.
Live a productive life.

Great sentence it is, when we are tried we should not stop our-self. we should slow or take rest and after it move on more.
