Lessons I learned with Covid19

September 26, 2021

At last, in two days' time, my life will be back to normal hopefully. Quarantine days will be over after almost a month of being locked down. My experience with this covid19 is not easy and wouldn't want to experience it again but the thing is, no matter how careful you are if the people around you aren't still it's useless.

Please do be careful when going out because we never know who is infected and who is not. There are people who are asymptomatic that they don't know that they are spreading the virus without them knowing it. So even if you are inside your home if you can wear a mask please do wear a face mask. Double your face mask and wear faceshield . And always bring your sanitizer with you. Remember, you are not only protecting yourself but you are protecting your family as well.

Lessons I learned with Covid19

Family and friends are important. They are the ones who will be there for you to support you and help you in this time of crisis. They will be your source of strength. They will be the ones assuring you that everything will be alright. They might not be there beside you in this kind of battle but believe me, they are there for you every step of the way. They will supply everything that you need and I mean everything, food, vitamins, medicines and even money and believe me they even worry about you more than anyone else. Treasure your family and friends for they will not leave you during this time of crisis. During this time you will know who your true friends are and who are there only for the good times. And I'm thankful that all my friends that I treasure were there for me and found new true friends too. You know who you are. Thank you for being one.

Care for yourself. Knowing how to take care of yourself is important too because your family and your friends may be there for you but still, you alone will have to look after yourself and this is one time that you cannot neglect yourself. You have to check your temperature, you have to make sure that you drink all your medicine and vitamins on time. Keep on washing your hands whenever possible. You have to make sure that you have complete bed rest. Remember, your family and friends will only be there to remind you but still, it is only you who can do that for yourself.

Hydrate. Not all people know how important it is to hydrate yourself. Dehydration can be fatal if not treated immediately that is why drinking water is crucial. Did you know that drinking water can regulate body temperature? It can also prevent infections and being well-hydrated improves the quality of our sleep. I learned my lesson with this one the hard way. So please, always hydrate, if you noticed that your lips are drying go drink a glass of water but if you are infected with Covid19 you have to double your water intake with an energy drink because water will not be enough to keep you hydrated.

Trust no one. When it comes to your own safety, trust no one. Never drink in someone else's glass even if it's your mother or your husband. Never talk to anyone without wearing your face mask. Never use anyone's cutlery. Always have your own glass, your own cutlery and your own plate as much as possible. Infected or not because you really don't know who has it. Don't share food on the same plate. If you have to share your food with anyone make sure to put it in two separate plates. You are not being paranoid, you are just taking care of yourself.

Take your Vitamins and eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Take that Multivitamins. That Vitamin C. That Vitamin B Complex. Boosting your immune system will b a great help these days. Eating fruits and vegetables will help you a lot during this time. It will be a big help especially if you lose your sense of taste and smell.

Pray. This is the best weapon we have against this Covid19. Pray for guidance. Pray for healing. Pray for peace of mind. Instead of thinking negative things that might happen talk to him endlessly. There will be a lot of downtime. There will be a lot of doubts that is why you really have to pray and have faith that at the end of the quarantine period everything will be ok. But of course, you also have to do your part while praying.

I can list more but for me, these are the important lessons that I learned. And I'll say it again, please do take care of yourself and follow the health protocols because it is not easy being infected with this virus. This sickness will not only hit your body but your mind as well so try to take care of yourself and follow all the health protocols.

To fight this pandemic, we all need to do our share. I hope people realize that, and just because they or anyone in their family have not been infected, they can take things for granted. Be safe. And like you said, prayer does wonders.

All of your points are relatable, this pandemic has given us lessons in life that allows us to realize many things, the things that we may disregard, the self care, the value for family, the act of praying and trusting the Lord for guidance, May this pandemic end soon with God's grace.

More importantly, don't stress yourself about your situation. May ganyan kasi diba, nag positive pero sobrang nagpa apekto sa thought na nag positive sya. Imbes na gumaling ee hindi, kasi parang sinukuan na agad di pa manlaang natatry lumaban. And yeah, Pray talaga. Good thing madam okay kana, back to normal na ang Lahat after pero kahit ganin, ingat pa rin. Sobrang ingatan si self 💪

Testing negative is just half of the struggle for those who got infected with covid. I remember my friend telling me his sense of taste hasn't been the same since. Hoping that you won't experience long term effects. Thank you for documenting your experience and sharing these lessons. Hopefully stories such as yours would help sway the beliefs of covid deniers.

I'm so glad you're about to come out of quarantine in good health. The recommendations are very important, there are many people who do not take care of themselves and walk in the street without protection, there are also asymptomatic people who do not mind infecting others. We must take care of them.

Never drink in someone else's glass even if it's your mother or your husband-- you'd still kiss your husband anyway even if you don't drink from the same cup...🤣🤣

Anyways, I also learnt a lot during the lockdown; family is important and we can't do without them.

Covid 19 is a difficult issue to overcome and even more so for those who caught family or friends ... thank God I was able to fight it without so many difficulties, I recommend that you continue to comply with certain security measures not only for the covid but also for any other virus of flu or strain that circulates in the environment.

Thank you for this sis. This is a greatly reminder for us. Yes family and friends are important they are the one who first take care and assist you with all the time. We should know how to care ourselves and we must aware of it.

Yes sis trust no one since we do not know where will be the virus so it's important to be an advance and careful. Take vitamins to boost our immune system so that the virus do not easily infected to our body. The prayer should be, the greatest weapon for everything and to be faithful to God.🙏

There are many teachings that Covid-19 has taught us all. It is a fact that we will not return to a normal life, at least for a while. Maybe some of them will be permanent in our lives. There are millions of lives lost. Everyone is trying to protect themselves as we are in an ongoing epidemic. That is why we are not yet aware enough of what has been lost. What we do is more important than what management or experts say. We are all responsible persons and have to take responsibility for protecting ourselves, our families and the communities we live in.

$ 0.02

Yep.. that's true. Itnis a lot more important that we are takinh carenof ourselves than what is the govt is doing for us and besides no matter what the govt do if peoe will not do their part still it will not be effective

Covid 19 has taught us many new things. It also explains how difficult it is to maintain distance with people. However, eating foods rich in vitamin E, including washing your hands all the time, is very important in Covid19. It was good to be reminded in a new way again.

Kindly be cautious when going out in light of the fact that we never realize who is contaminated and who isn't. There are individuals who are asymptomatic that they don't realize that they are spreading the infection without them knowing it. So regardless of whether you are inside your home in the event that you can wear a cover kindly wear a face veil. Twofold your face cover and wear faceshield . What's more, continually carry your sanitizer with you. Keep in mind, you are securing yourself as well as you are ensuring your family also.
