Hello everyone, it's Dangerous_Fly once again and I present to you an article entitled ,"**Teenage Pregnancy**". Teenage Pregnancy as we all know is also one thing society frowns on and as a result lead to so many things when it happens .. **Pregnancy** on it's own should have been something everyone loves as it brings a sense of unity amongst a group of people as they wait for the new baby to arrive and as well fulfill God's word, " Give birth and multiply", but as to **when** *a person gets pregnant brings a difference in the reaction of people towards the pregnancy since sexual intercourse is something for the aged specifically for the married .* Teenage Pregnancy as a wayward behavior has a whole lot of causes thereby influencing most of the youth into this situation and as well it has a whole of effects on the individual which I may say are very bad effects or things that can happen to an individual.. **To put all these into list form let's take a look at this scenario first..** **A** girl of fourteen lived with her mom due to the break-up of her mom and dad. The mom was not always at home so the girl sometimes goes to the father . The mom made her attended a school which was almost 2 kilometers away from home because her mom thought it wise that, it will be the best option as to control the child since by the time the child will reach home she will be there . Although she thought of this , it wasn't so . Some days the girl will reach home but her mom won't be around. Due to this situation of her mom not always at home , she was always unhappy thereby causing her to follow friends after school who later advice here to get a *boyfriend* for herself by saying that is where she will get pleasure and also told her to watch **pornographic materials..** She agreed without hesitation and accepted the proposal of the very first person without hesitation. She began to flirt with him and started having an intercourse with him . Anytime she tells her mom that she is going to her dad she doesn't but rather goes to her boyfriend and have fun . Little did she know all these will be brought to light one day. The day finally came when she became pregnant and started vomiting. She became a teenager who is pregnant thereby causing her to drop out of school that is, at that instance she couldn't continue schooling any longer . During pregnancy,the people she walked with back at school started to stigmatise her there by causing more pain to her. Her image was lost completely in the community as people started to tease her and the rest. Unfortunately for her , the foetus developed outside the womb and she couldn't but lost her life during child birth. **End Of Story** Thank you for reading, now let's take our causes and effects of teenage pregnancy **Causes Of Teenage Pregnancy** **Broken homes :** She became more prone to these acts because her parents were no longer together Makin it easier for her to go out without any stress. **Peer pressure** : She was influenced by her peer group to go in for a boyfriend as a way of getting pleasure.. **Bad Media influence** : Due to the pornographic material she watched also stimulated her appetite . **Irresponsible Parenting** : This was shown on the part of the mother where because of work cared less for the child making her go wayward **Curiosity on the part of the girl** : Most at times , girls feel curious when they see things happen and there they also go in for it. **Effects Of Teenage Pregnancy** **Loss of image in society** : Loss of respect in the society as people were pointing hands at her . **Stigmatization** : A situation where no one wants to associate with you. **Disgrace to family** **Possible ectopic pregnancy** : Development of foetus outside the womb. **Possible death during birth** . **Solutions To Teenage Pregnancy** **Female empowerment** **Sex education** **Proper Parenting** **Staying away from Pornographic materials** **Avoiding negative peer influence** Thank you once again for your time, it's Dangerous_Fly once again, **Bring It On!!!**

I find this to be too closed a thought, I'm sorry. Teenage pregnancy is rather circumstantial and of choice to me
I don't get you
The way it was presented is a bit too close minded to me because there are teen parents out of choice (where uou can't always blame ot on curiosity on the girl, because there are young girls who tend to look up possible contraceptives if they're curious enough to engage, and even ask their partners to do the same) who also come from complete and happy familes. I know a few. Then there are also cases with rape victims who have no choice since some countries don't allow abortion pr proper contraceptive options like day after pills (this also applies to when the partner of the girl purposely temoves the contraceptive items during coitus and is thus not even the girl'sfault. A lot of them carry out the pregnancy without having to be looked down upon though. Sure, a booster of education could be used and maybe actual proper talks without making curiosity on sex sound so bad could be good for the teen too. Because we're in a fairly liberated era now so you can't blame the teen.
Actually all your points are right but I couldn't just include all , remember I was talking based in the scenario I used thereby all these points were not added .. For all the points listed above , it is not all that causes teenage pregnancy on a person meaning what caused someone to get pregnant will differ from caused the other , you understand thereby what you said true but at least it has some facts
It's just the manner of presentation and the given scenario, i suppose... i just find it all the more belittling to those teengae parents here who are already stigmatized on the outside too..
Teenage pregnancy is one of the greatest problem our country is facing right now. It's sad to say that in our country, teenage youths engage to premarital sex that will result to continuous growth rate of teenage pregnancy. Parents must be careful of educating their children to understand that pregnancy is not a joke. It is a huge responsibility that one will bear in their entire life.

Parents are the one who understands their child the most. They must be the one helping them to understand that this is not an activity for their age. They must explain it to them that there's always a right time to do those things
One of the reasons for teenage pregnancy are Influence of social media well, I should say Internet. Matures site's, I've seen kids watching this matures video in the net cafe near us. I was shock the same time seeing them watching it. Anyway I just leave After I bought some junk foods.
This is a prominent occurrence in the society today, most times caused by ignorance and so... No matter how hard this issue is being addressed, it keeps occuring. There's no way out.
Peer pressure is some what really the cause of wrong decisions sometimes, And it depends on you its your choice any way, so you should really have friends with good influence..
Looking out for friends that will influence you positively is the best one
There are many factors that causes teenage pregnancy and it's not a positive thing either. But then its amazing when someone, who at a very young age get pregnant gets back on her feet and make their babies their inspiration to become better person, they need encouragement.
Here they relate it to their story thereby causing fear in their children not to do same as well as a sense of responsibility
This article caught my attention. Because I am 19y.o when I got pregnant. But thank you to my family because they didnt give me any reason to feel ashamed of, they supported me . So here I am , with 2 children. Happy Married . Happy Family. this article is good and have moral lessons is life. thank for sharing
All the effect you discussed is true, that's the problem why there so many teenagers got pregnant earlier.
Yes they are but there are also others that get pregnant which is not based on this . It can be rape, lack of contraceptives and a whole lot.
Everything that you've mentioned are true and it is very important to let everyone about this matter. When we ere in 7th grade probably around 13 years old, we were just shocked that one of our classmates is already going to be a father. Like wow men, we just entered high school. It all felt like everything was happening so fast. But yeah? I can't fully blame to this to the parents but indeed proper parenting must be really on point. Too much curiosity and bad influence from peers and internet (well pornsites are all over the internet and its for free like ughh everyone has a free access to it) Its saddening how this issue escalates so fast that it feels like people have already accepted it as a new normal. There's so much promise to the youth that was ruined by teenage pregnancy. Well, some may have been living a good life despite experiencing such, but we have to admit that not everyone has the privilege to handle things. This issue might also be a reason for another issue to arise. For example, poverty. If young parents won't be able to send their offspring to school, the number of illiterate youth would rise. and many more problems. I hope that everyone would add the solutions that you've mentioned such as "Female empowerment, Sex education, Proper Parenting, Staying away from Pornographic materials and Avoiding negative peer influence" to be one of their advocacy in life. Sometimes, teenage pregnancy are cause by lack of education and health care facilities. Teenagers can't access free contraceptives and even they have, they dont know how to use it properly.

Parents and guardians of growing children should always be mindful of what they say and watch in front of them. But should be open to discussion when time comes a teen asks about anything even topics deemed as taboo. When curiosity spiked about sex when i was a teen, i was faced with corporal punishments whenever i showed interest. Luckily, my mom and aunts deemed it their responsibility to talk to me about sex and boys. I also strongly agree with sex education; the technical aspects can be explained thoroughly in it.

This is one of the problem in the society. Maybe it is because of the curiosity and out of control of a teenager. They are being pressured by the society, the standards and all. Teenage pregnancy is very common nowadays. Pregnancy is first before marraige. We cannot says that the parents are responsible for that because they are not in the house 24/7. People outside the house has a large impact about that. Curiosity also, for them its normal. Oh for us rather . I know its a mortal sin but I dont know why people did it.

This is a very old problem. As a result of getting married at an early age, they get pregnant at a young age.
Regarding this matter, i for one is a victim if teenage pregnancy... I got pregnant at the age of 17 because of rebellion. I am still in my 10th grade that time. . My first reaction is overwhelming,. I don't have a family to rely on And life is so difficult. Im thinking of abortion but i am afraid of killing such an innocent angel inside my womb when its my fault in the first place. I thank God for giving me such courage to face trials back then. Together with my husband , we did our responsibility as a parent to raise our child that time without our parents help. I can't say its easy when you are just a young mother tending a baby at such young age and your partner is unemployed, but its my greatest pleasure that i/we did it with the help of my responsible husband.. he didnt left me alone. And now we are gifted with 6 lovely kids and i always share to them my difficulties when i was at their age. Reminding them not to do the same because we’ll never know, history may repeat . My story is not good and i dont want it to happen to my children.
Infact such move to not let your children suffer the same fate is rely a nice one and it helps prevent further situations. You are responsible mom for showing such an attitude , i appreciate your advice to your children

The circumstances at home can really affect the development of a child. But still it is up to us how to handle the situation. I been neglected growing up. But it is still not the reason for me to do things that can harm myself. Instead, I became responsible and be observant for the things around me. As they said, no one can help you but yourself.

Yes, I am a teen mom but it doesn't mean I'm a slut. It doesn't mean I'm incapable of loving my child. It doesn't mean I can't teach my son values and morals. My age doesn't define my parenting capabilities.
From my observation, teenage pregnancy is no longer a taboo as compared in the 90's. It is no longer scandalous to the teen couple as well as to their parents and it is easily accepted. Despite this trend, it is still important to instill into the minds of the younger generation that becoming pregnant at an early age is not okay and will never be okay. This article is worth reading
This is why sex talk shouldn't be a taboo especially in the Philippines where the rate is higher than some countries. The only change people have acquired in this area is openly accepting the pregnancy. It will never be a good thing and it should be prevented not supported. But that doesn't mean we disrespect them. I really think sex education shall be first taught at home not in school, not even at school this is talked about mainly. Instead people are arguing about talking about the topic because it might arise the curiousity. At least you prevented it.
