Our OFW neighborhood
Our neighborhood wife is an OFW, she is Domestic Helper in Saudi. She has a husband and a son here in the Philippines. Almost everyday she asked my mother about the status of his husband and son. If they are okay or if they already eat thier lunch, like that.
Yesterday my mother talked to me regarding that matter. My mother said, our neighborhoods wife is always asking about his husband but I dont know if I will tell her the truth. I dont want to be involved in thier issue when they started to fight because I tell the truth.
Our neighborhood is a gambler, he always not in the house because he is playing a bet game. Thier son was the one who left in the house or sometimes playing outside. My mother was pity for the child because sometimes my mother saw that its already lunch time but the child didnt eat because there are no prepared food on the table because his father is in the gambling place.
Sometimes I also saw this kid eating a junk food and a softdrinks instead of healthy food. It saddens me because her mother has no ideas of what was happening to his son and husband here in the Philippines.
Working abroad is not easy, like others think. You need to sacrifice the 2 years of your life that you cant even touch your family. It is so painful that you can serve other people but you cant do it to your own family because you need a money to provide thier needs.
I wish that our neighborhood would become responsible and learn to love the sacrifices of her wife. Be a good father to his son before its too late.
A nail
When I was in grade two my teacher to us about the " kusang palo "
Kusang palo is the willingness to do anything that is not being asked.
Example : You voluntarily washed the dishes after eating without any command from anyone.
I was 8 years old back then, I was so excited to go home and apply our lesson which is the " kusang palo " I want to suprised my mom that I learned it from school and as a child I want my mom be proud on me.
Its Saturday in the morning, there is no classes and I have time to do household chores. My mom was not in the house and this is the best time to do the chores and to surprised him.
I look for the chores that I can do, I saw the drum in the comfort room and it looks empty so I decided to pour a water on it. Back then, the only source of water in our hometown is balon or deep well. I fetched water in the deep well to fill the drum in the comfort room. Its a bit tiring because fetching water is not that easy.
I am so excited to be praise by my mother but its didnt happened ๐
He yells at me and said " youve fetched water from the deep well but you didnt clean the drum first before pouring the water. He said it in an angry face. After that she poured all the water to the soil and my effort was wasted. As a child I dont know that I need to clean the drum first, all I know that time is I want to help my mom.
Are you wondering about the title? Why the title is about nail? Well, a while ago I saw a nail. As we know nail need to be pushed by hammer to get attached with certain things. In Filipino if people said that you're like a nail, you are a person that you need to asked a favor first before doing a task. You dont have the kusang palo or the willingness to do such task.
I just thought about this story of mine because of the nail that I saw ๐
Getting to know me.
Hello EveryJuan! Its my second time that I will tell you guys about some of my interest and likes, also my dislikes.
I am a typical woman in a mid twenties. I hang up with my friends sometimes but most of the time I am in my room alone. I dont like a noisy environment , silences is music to my ears. I feel relieved when I am in my room. I dont know if I am an introvert because I love to travel too and have fun with others sometimes. I just dont really know haha.
I am an office girl before but when the pandemic starts our company decides the we need to work from home. Well I already miss the office, I miss the aircon haha. I miss my chair there and I miss my officemates as well.
Since the pandemic start, I started to loved KDramas and other Thai series. Back then I dont want to watch it , I wonder how my friends become addict to it. Now I know because I myself was addicted to it already haha. I slept 2am in the midnight just to watched Kdrama.
Lets talk about food. Hmm? Well again since the pandemic start, I also became a chef, I cooked different dishes, whatever I crave for I will cooked it if ever the ingredients were available in our kitchen. I tried to cook tuna pie, carbonara, mango grahams and whenever I saw in Facebook.
My lovelife? I had a longtime boyfriend. We are 6 years now and no planning to get married. Why? Because we want to grow individually for now. We have many plans on our both families. We also want to be financial stable before entering the married life.
Friends? I have a friends. Those long time friends and seasonal friends. I had a friends for Elementary , High school, Collage, Ex officemate, Officemates and Churchmates. We met once or twice a year, it depends on the planning that we did. If its drawing or what. But now I am with my family because I worked from home.
