BCH Could Have Saved Thousands of Afghan Lives (And I'm Not Baiting!)

We are all aware of the situation in Afghanistan and how dire things are around there, but most people aren't aware of how easily Bitcoin BCH could have saved thousands upon thousands of Afghan lives.

Unfortunately, this isn't some clickbait title just to capitalize in the platform, but the truth, and a truth that could have saved thousands if only people would take crypto seriously, in particular real usable crypto, like Bitcoincash.

Let me tell you how BitcoinCash could have saved thousands of lives in Afghanistan, and how adopting BCH is vital to avoid preventable losses of lives and resources in the future.

When S*** Hits the Fan: Banksters Bail Out!

When things get complicated, the bankster crowd (bankers, financial experts, hedge fund managers, and so on) are the first ones to bail out - they have the resources for it and definitely are "in the know" so obviously they escape first - I'd do the same in their shoes.

However, the unwashed masses don't have the same foresight, and when things get serious, they want to go for their money in order to try to use it to escape or hunker down.

This is exactly what happened in Afghanistan.

Thousands of people flooded the banks only to find out they don't own their money, the banks do - and with no people to operate the banks, no money in the vaults and the people in charge long gone, the Afghans discovered the critical problems of modern banking the hard way.

Thousands found out they had nothing more than their house or clothes, and discovered they have no access to their money - money which isn't theirs but owned by the bankers they trusted it on, and these bankers don't even hold it, but invest with it and, when s*** hits the fan, profit from the turmoil by clearing out the books.

Unfortunately, in this case, this all had serious effects, and resulted in thousands of deaths - let me tell you how things worked out for the Afghans who trusted the modern banking system and the FIAT currency.

BCH would solve this...

No Money to Escape: No Means, They're Stranded

First of all, the obvious reason thousands are dying is that they lacked the means to escape.

There are a few ways out of the boiling pot, but most involve:

  • Bribery;

  • Paying for "Guides";

  • Paying for Black Market Roads;

  • Paying for Naval Pickups (Rickety as they are);

  • Greasing Palms for Safe-Passage.

You just cannot leave a place like current Afghanistan without access to money, and not the change you have in your pocket.

People know this and this is one of the major reasons that led people to accumulate in front of the closed down banks, only to find out they have no hopes of recovering their hard-earned cash.

They worked hard for it, they trusted the financial system, they now reap nothing - the money wasn't theirs anymore when they finished signing that deposit.

With Bitcoin BCH, the money is always yours, and nobody can "run" on you. You'll always have resources.

Not only that, international crews prefer getting paid in their currency of choice or in crypto rather than in a war-torn state's FIAT.

If people had BCH, they'd be spared from this problem, and have an edge as they could negotiate their escape or safe conduit in the black market or even with international crowds.

No Money for Ransoms: Prisoners Get "Defaulted"

You may have seen the news and how people are getting captured, kidnapped and held hostage left and right.

Do you think they are taking people to a 5-stars resort or do you know they are going to either eliminate them or ask for ransom?

Well, if you're lucky to be held for ransom instead of outright killed, then you know someone is going to have to pay up for your release.

Do you know what happens when your family goes to the bank to find it closed?

Do you know what happened to the Afghans who discovered they had no money whatsoever?

Prisoners got "Defaulted".

If you know how the world works, you know the consequences.

No Money for the Jyzia: The Non-Muslim Tax

The extremists need money to arm themselves and really set a foothold on the country - most of these funds will come from the resources they captured, the expropriation they've been doing, ransoms, drugs, and so on...

...but another part is historically coming from the Jyzia.

Muslim states impose a Jyzia, which is a kind of tax non-muslims need to pay in order to live under such state.

The Jyzia, of course, requires money, and since those who pay the Jyzia are the "infidels", then you know tax collectors aren't full of goodwill while collecting these taxes.

Well, if you don't have enough for a proper Jyzia, whatever the number is, you can expect to stop collecting the benefits of it - which are, simply, to be able to live.

No money, no Jyzia, no Jyzia, no living...

No Bartering Tinder: No Money to Trade, No Money to Accumulate Assets for Further Bartering

When these things hit, you have a small timeframe in which you can accumulate resources with FIAT you'll use either to stockpile or barter down the road.

History has demonstrated this once and again.

With no legal tinder to barter with, people are left with nothing, and even if they could grab their Afghani currency from the banks, this tends to lose value in times of catastrophe.

Bitcoin BCH would not only retain its value but would, due to the overall devaluation of the currency in Afghanistan, gain more bartering value.

Unfortunately, in this case, Afghans could not even get access to their FIAT, so they were left without even the slimmest chance of successfully getting the resources they need to barter and / or survive.

Bitcoin Would Solve This: BCH Could Have Saved Thousands

As you can see, Bitcoin BCH would save thousands of lives if people had adopted it.

This cannot be remedied as of now, but what we have here now is a HUGE example of how adopting BCH is the smart thing to do, and how avoiding and refusing to partake in this rotten traditional modern banking system is the best thing people can do in order to protect their assets.

With Bitcoin Cash, the funds are yours, nobody can fly away with them, nobody can expropriate you, the fees are low, and the tokens will always be there when you need them the most - unlike traditional FIAT which is only good if things are stable.

The random Afghan did not have the time or insight to jump into BCH...

...but you do!

Don't leave this chance pass up - embrace the future of money.

Embrace Bitcoin (BCH)!

I actually agree, and I think THIS is one of the areas where a lot of people miss the functionality of something like BCH. It's still not easily portable. But that's changing. And of course the more people that adopt it the more portable it becomes.

As for the entire Afghan situation, it's a disaster, and who knows what the outcome will be when all is said and done. Very sad and I feel for the people who are caught up in political unrest that just want to go about living their lives.

I pity those people in their situation. How can they survive when everything they thought they own was already not there. I agree with this article, If only they adapted to Crypto before, this situation should have happen.

Indeed you've got a great point here as all banks all over the world have the same mentality of thinking they own our monies deposited with them especially those of the third world nations of Africa. Sadly though, the so called government of now our days have become heavily involved in all these as their policy making processes kept frustrating people to the extent that virtually all financial powers and authorities are wielded or given to the banks who then in turn dish out stringent measures on how to run even our own private affairs. Take for example, here in Nigeria, all forms of cryptos are placed under ban hence the policy by the government to allow the bank to regulate the crypto system in nigeria but I've been very very surprised at such an awkward thinking as to why the Nigerian government would even think of controlling the crypto system that is majorly characterized and defined by its DECENTRALIZED NATURE AND FUNCTIONS. It's annoying that even in Afghanistan too, citizens are not allowed to get their own monies from the bank given the current political unrest the country is faced with, how sad! I think it's about time everyone is duly educated on the need to trust, believe and make more use of the crypto world as the main means of exchange, payment of both physical and non physical trade and the settlements of all kinds of balance of trade and payment deficits. I'll organize a campaign one of these days to help others realize the potentials of the cryptos I'm talking and its relative importance as a mini banking system directly found in your pocket at all times. Great article!

Yeah In Afghanistan, there is miserable state. Bankers and even thier president made its flight to UAE with all its asstes leaving them in poverty and hunger. Crypto especially BCH can make and save their lives and standard of living. Best ideas you develop for Afghan nation.

Could have! Yes! But the question is, does Afghanistan had the infrastructure for adopting BCH? Probably they could have had it... but as far as I know, the country had been in a disarray even before this takeover.

Then again, the saddest thing here is, the Afghans trusted the banks with their money. But the banks were the first ones to close when this chaos happened.

With no money, I can't imagine how the people are living in that country right now.

I wonder what's next for Afghanistan. This is saddening. If the banks have closed, other industries will surely follow. Telecommunications companies, internet providers, malls, etc. They're going back to where the Taliban wants them to be - in their own old ways. I hope the international community will work together to help Afghanistan especially the innocent children.

I've been scouring noise.cash and read.cash trying to find Afghan users. I wish we have them in this community so we can open their minds and help them escape their misery. Crypto will surely be a big aid for them if they know how to utilize it.

One practical question though: What if people have no access to internet either because the infrastructure is destroyed or down because of the war, or because a despotic regime such as Taliban tends to cut off the internet and telephone first when they ascend to power so as to control the populace more easily?

The only downside of crypto is that its utility depends on things we often take for granted (computers, smartphones, internet, electricity) but may not be available to people elsewhere because of inadequate infrastructure, extreme poverty, and social instability.

Mr cryptomax your article was good and eyeopening.. It included many news agency and real incidents... I am happy to read this.. Bu t i think... You must consider their literacy rates.. and also the technology availability...Crypto currency will be a help only to those who knows how to use it.. But it requires at least a basic computer connection.. In a country where no one can even walk freely.. Computers are a luxury....Moreover money to escape.... all their border are sealed and the Airport... you know about it better ..American do not allow any one to enter in airport.... If they will get cash ...I do not how they get it .. By if by almighty grace they gow few....Either they will be looted or shot dead at the line of control...

Your article presented beautiful views of a concerned person... BCH can be an opportunity... I think few afghans had made use of it too...

You are right but I want to ask this question because I have gone through your article and how you are suggesting for BCH use as so important to work in this situation, my question now is since the bank is closed and the black market are so unstable right now , how can one now make withdraw of his BCH in his wallet and change it to cash since the means of having it in cash is closed if Afghanistan citizens are making use of BCH, there is no access for inflow of cash from abroad since the take over, so how can they achieve that?

I saw the news about the banks shutting down which means no way out or no means of survival for the citizens of Afghanistan who have their money in the banks.

Too bad and this is one thing crypto currency especially BCH can take care of because you are in charge of your money. You don't need a bank to do the saving, the transfer and the good thing is that there are now BCH merchants across the world.

My heart goes out to every Afghans, this is a very bitter moments....so many things would have been different if only they had conform to the BCH global reach. I love how you related it to our present mindset, same for everyone who hasn't still embraced this opportunity. We don't need to wait to the point of searching for a remedy before we see the far truths about BCH. Thank you for this piece.

In these hard conditions, Afghan people must be saluted for living in the state with these dark points. Indeed money is the basic asset for anyone, any country, on which all needs are dependent. The war situation has made the money all went away with people leaving empty hands. If they could have BCH with them as an asset , they could surely end up with some of the needs, atleast not all. Its a best opportunity for everyone

This is a serious world issue, my prayers is with the people of Afghanistan, I can't begin to imagine what they must be going through. BCH can truly change the world, but the question remains how many people are aware of this opportunity. How many people are ready to accept this new change?

I keep watching the people trapped in this country. It is a country descenting into chaos and I agree with this article. It is not speculation on disaster, it is a way of moving out of a bad situation easily. It was my thoughts too, that any person with access to Bitcoin Cash would have better options. The money in these banks are probably all gone.
