What have you achieved?
A chance or not-so-random encounter that can spoil the mood for a long time: an old acquaintance, with a new car and a nice suit, as if he had just stepped out of the stylist's office. He exudes confidence, money and success. And there it is: the car didn't leave the showroom yesterday and the suit isn't the first time he's gone for a drive. No confidence, no charisma.
Pain, anger, rage. No anger, no anger. He has income, cars, foreign resorts. And what do you have? A regular job and the usual monotonous life of loans, pets and country vacations. All the injustice of the world falls on your shoulders in an instant. Stop it!
This is where the envy begins. It's good to quickly forget this encounter. But what if we don't? What if he dreams about it at night, reminding you every minute of his own failures? Nothing good can come of it. There are techniques that can help you, if not eliminate jealousy completely, at least reduce the level of your experience of it. Just ask yourself these questions and answer them honestly:
And how can you be sure that the beautiful picture you have in your mind when you meet him is the reality? The car may belong to someone else or it may be a rental. Just like the suit. The look is not difficult to shape with a little effort and skill. It's not hard at all to pretend to be someone you're not. And what can you say about that, other than the words of a friend and your own impressions?
What family does this person come from? You can prove all you want that you have achieved everything on your own, but if the parents have created the conditions for their child and provided him with everything he needs to realize his ambitions, the initial conditions do not suggest a nice-sounding substance. He is no longer alone. He is no longer a father and mother. Not alone, and not leaving everything behind. This is not a fact and needs to be checked.
Will he be able to hold his position and for how long? How many stormy rises and equally stormy falls has history seen? Some people manage to catch the wave of success and ride it, but they don't always manage to keep their balance and persevere - not always. If you are on top today, there is no guarantee that you will be on top tomorrow.
What void are you filling within yourself by showing off your wealth? Truly wealthy people rarely show off their financial skills. They don't stand out from the crowd in everyday life. The desire to show the best of everything at once is typical of those who want to hide their complexes, whatever they may be.
Is success of this type really success? Success is different for everyone. For some people success is money, for others it's a career, for others it's family. And what does success mean to you? What is closer: an expensive car and the loneliness that comes with it or a stable and happy family without the luxury?
Are you willing to trade everything you currently have, including family and friends, for that person's life? Yes, money, resorts, everything is wonderful. But who is there for him? The ones who flock like butterflies to the glow of the good life or the ones who really want to be there, no matter what and against all odds? And how many really work to relax like that?
We buy things we don't need, with money we don't have, to prove to those we don't care about that we mean something. And at the same time you make them jealous.
One can start to get jealous, but often only when the beautiful image falls apart and underneath is a plain, grey person or a person with a poor psyche.

We all have different views on success and achievement, it's a bit wrong to want to show your success just to think you are better, but many people are like that.
