The habits of successful people: who recorded them?
Be grateful, read more, exercise, give up TV and you will be happy, lucky and successful! It's hard to find someone who hasn't seen all these tips and alleged habits of successful people. And when you hear it everywhere and it comes from all sides, you willy-nilly think, "Why not?" Here's why:
Who are these unknown successful people whose habits are in question anyway? Do you have their names? Achievements? When they write, for example, about the ten habits of Steve Jobs, it all makes sense. We are talking about one of the founders of a technology company, which many people have heard about during its difficult formative years. You can learn from his persistence.
And when they do not write about whom, then it is not clear what success the person has achieved. Maybe it's about a successful pickpocket or a burglar. Hardly anyone consciously wants to achieve such accomplishments.
Who recorded the listed habits in, as we have already found out, unknown "successful" people, their frequency of occurrence, prevalence? Have any special studies been conducted? Have experiments been conducted on them? Frankly, all of this seems more like speculation and someone's fantasy.
It is unlikely that really successful people would voluntarily accept the role of a guinea pig. Besides, the majority of them are public people. They don't have time to do all sorts of nonsense.
How do you measure the relationship of success to the habits listed? And if one habit isn't in the arsenal, that's it? No success?
If it really were that simple, if the key to success lay in following some habits, then the success rate would be off the charts. There would be a true paradise on earth without the poor, the disadvantaged, the suffering!!! But for some reason it doesn't happen!
Do these people consider themselves successful? Or for them all achievements are the result of hard work and endless exhausting pursuit of phantom happiness? It is not enough to achieve success. You have to maintain it somehow.
Now let's take apart some habits and the reasons why they don't lead to success.
The habit of getting up early to get as much time as possible before work begins. Doesn't correlate with common sense at all. There are rhythms of the day. And they are similar for most of us. There are reserves of vitality. And they are not infinite. The more energy expended in the early morning, the less remains for the rest of the day. Efficiency and effectiveness are reduced. And by evening there is nothing left at all. So is it worth committing such violence on yourself just to shift your waking schedule?
The habit of little sleep and examples of the greats who had enough sleep for 4-6 hours. Only they often forget to add that these greats safely slept a few more hours during the day, so that they collectively get the norm of sleep for an adult. And they also forget to add that these greats' bodies functioned somewhat differently. For them, such disconnected sleep is normal. For the average person, it's not healthy.
The habit of living a healthy lifestyle. A wonderful habit, if interpreted correctly. A healthy lifestyle is not exhausting to the point of losing your pulse doing sports, but, first of all, a good diet, and secondly - proper rest! Do not torment yourself and do not deny yourself in rest! If you can somehow solve the problem with nutrition, but with rest in our rhythm of life - hardly.
We could go on and on. In fact, many of the habits imposed on us by various articles and experts are actually helpful.
But let's be honest: most of them are a consequence, not the cause of success!!!!
Many "successful" people in the beginning were barely making ends meet and could hardly afford good food, noble sports and whatever else was out there. There was an idea and the will to implement it against all odds - these are the ingredients for success. And useful habits came later, as necessary attributes of life, without which one would not be accepted into a club of their own kind.
There is no secret of success, because everyone has his own😉

There is no exact recipe to success, you are right, my dear friend. We have our own struggles and dreams, and our discipline, will etc. will lead us to achieve success. Just because I sleep more than someone doesn't mean I won't succeed. Let's work smart, not hard :D
