It was snowing, and huge white flakes covered the road. Someone had thrown a calendar from the window of a very tall house, and its leaves were flying, like flakes of snow or days gone by, and a man was walking in the snow (of course, in the snow, not in the days). The man walked in the snow... They sprinkled the street, the blackened figures of the days that had flown by, and the wind tried to lift the paper so that, suddenly soaring up, it could toss it through the window of the man who had thrown the year under the feet of passers-by, thrown the days into the snow, the days that had become the snow that would melt.
The boy was walking on the leaves of a scattered rearranged calendar. It was the evening of January 1. Snow was falling.
The days before New Year's Eve, like a magic time machine, can bring even the most hardened skeptics back to childhood. Filled up Christmas trees of incredible beauty, bright lights on the streets, and most importantly - the vibe of wonder and fairy tales floating in the air - they are invisible to the eye, but felt by every fiber of the soul. And even if you do not believe in Santa Claus for a long time, you just want to make the craziest wish and believe with all your heart that it will come true for sure! Happy New Year friends!
No! This is not another article about food.😅 And we are not going to cook it, much less eat it. I think it's sacrilegious to animals. So why did I call my article that? And the fact is that the New Year is a new goal. In this article I will tell you how to really achieve it (at least so I do, and already half of what I wanted and to which aspired I already have). I want to share this with you. And what does this have to do with the elephant? .... all in order and you'll understand that I want to tell you.
One condition - you must already have a specific goal that you want to achieve!
So, I'm not mocking you now, I'm giving you specific patterns!
My goal is to let you know that you can achieve any dream, any goal, and to encourage you to be bolder in taking steps toward it!
How do I achieve my goal...and is it worth it? Is it even real?
There will always be people who are ready to achieve their goals at any cost. Think well, weigh everything and imagine the possible consequences, because often it happens that the goal does not justify the means used to achieve it. It can also turn out to be: "And then I found not what I was looking for, but I was not looking for what I wanted.
And on the other hand, a person who has achieved his goal inspires respect, at least for this very reason. In general, it's up to you and you alone to decide and choose - don't let others do it. Check your motivations, don't run like a donkey for a hanging carrot. Approach the problem consciously and responsibly.
If you decide that the goal is worthy, then how do you achieve it?
Many people just go with the flow of life, without making any effort to change something for the better - they are happy with everything. They don't set goals and objectives for themselves. Moreover, most of those who "drift" have no idea that they can do this and that it leads to great results.
There is another category of people who have a "serious" goal. They think about it, visualize that soon it will be like this: a car, an apartment, their own island... Think about it, how real is this big and serious goal??? You can close your eyes and imagine over and over again how you are driving in a Bentley, but in reality you will still be sitting in a chair!!!
This approach to goal setting doesn't work, and all your great goals are actually a bubble, a beautiful shimmering bubble that bursts as soon as you open your eyes! Sure, sinking into dreams is nice and even sweet, but they won't change your life unless you take real steps to make them happen.
How to take action and in order not to remain for the rest of your life in the categories of "dreamers" and "drifters", you need to start taking action!!!!!The path from the chair -> to the Bentley must be thought through in stages, only then an empty dream will turn into a beautiful reality.
When there is a goal, you can understand how to get there.
Not only do you become aware of the end point you are striving for, but also the in-between.
To set your direction toward your dream-goal, you have to ask yourself 2 very important questions:
1) where do you want to go?
2) how do you want to get there?
The answers to these will be the two whales on which you will build your future.
The following steps will help you work toward your goals:
- Write down your dreams on paper so you can go back to them from time to time and revisit them as needed.
- On the way to your main goal, set intermediate goals to help you achieve it.
-Formulate your goals in a positive format. For example, stating "I don't want to be poor" is a prime example of a negative phrasing. The correct way is "I want to be rich" - when you do not use the particle "not".
Goals should meet the following criteria:
•Specificity, or what speci ic result you want to get.
•Measurability.
You should use some kind of metrics to measure your movement toward your goal, for example: number of sales.
•Achievability. Set yourself intermediate goals according to your maximum capabilities at this stage, and the bar should be raised.
•Significance. Determine how important this or that action is to achieving the main goal. This criterion helps you allocate your efforts properly.
•Time. Set precise time limits for accomplishing your tasks. For example: from January 1 to August 1, I have to accomplish this and that.
Developing goals in detail will help you really get closer to your dreams, make them tangible and realizable. Set yourself maximum goals, do not be squandered on small things and communicate with people who know how to act. Be not just motivated, but stubborn, challenge yourself and everything will come true!
Any versions of a goal can be considered, refine, modify, and adapt. Try be creative! Develop the right attitude about what's going on.
Don't torture yourself! Do not play the role of sufferer! Rejoice! Don't grunt, don't moan, don't complain! It's so nice to move towards your own!
Set goals within Within your zone of influence. That's why it doesn't work. Setting goals to "make a million rubles, because it's not only you, but your boss, your clients, the price of oil or the exchange rate of the dollar.
The most important thing is the first step!
Some people set their a goal, they don't even try to start realizing it.
Meanwhile the most important (and the hardest!) is to take first step! Probably you may know Woody Allen's famous line about success: "Eighty percent of success is just to show up." !!!!
What keeps us from achieving our goals in the new year is fear and laziness. Fear of failure, of major changes. But only by conquering your fear, set yourself up for a positive outcome and having full confidence in your of your abilities, you can achieve the most incredible heights. The main thing here: consistency and gradualness.
Can you eat an elephant?
Obviously not at a time. But one bite at a time over the course of year? Easy!🍴🐘
You have to cut it into hundreds or thousands of little pieces and eat one a day. Don't try to eat it all at once! You don't have to work your way toward your goal - once a week to pile into your activity, putting yourself out so much that you will do it with disgust, and then you will wait for the next time you have to do it. After all, you now associate this activity with hard work. And you naturally try to mentally resist it. And then... you have to use what many people call willpower. That's the best case scenario. And at worst, the exercise will be abandoned in the near future. Because each time you do it, you have to put in more and more effort to force yourself to "work on your goal". You don't have to "work"!!! You have to eat the elephant in pieces!!!!
You don't have to be hustling and inspired! You just have to make a habit of eating one piece of the big elephant once a day. You have to give yourself 10-30 minutes of your time once a day to do this big thing. It should become like brushing your teeth. No one calls it "work," do they? And making our bed, putting our shoes on - all these things we do without much effort.
... You need every day at least a little advance to it (Napoleon Bonaparte), by the way a cake is named after this great man and we are going to bake it😉

The main secret is daily!
Friends, if you read these lines and you have the thought: "I did not have time today! I didn't have time! I'm so tired!" -Remind me, you still have plenty of time. But then, there will be a "tomorrow" when you will be happy with what you finally achieved.
And it depends on you, with what you start the day: with new excuses, or new steps to achieve their goals.)
And most importantly, be calm and less passionate, listen to yourself, your inner voice. If suddenly, in the middle of the road to the goal you feel that it devaluing and becoming more uninteresting to you, have the the courage and the intelligence to admit it.
Quit, rebuild, or else the obligatory and
the main result will be...is disappointment. Here's an example:
Let's say you are in dire need of finances. After reading smart books, websites, and blogs about success, you know what to do: set a financial goal. Let it be: "To make 10 thousand green coons a month by the New Year 3014.
You have made two mistakes at once: first, you want to avoid your poverty, not achieve wealth. Secondly, you have a great need. It's like saying to your friend with a hungry stomach: "I would eat an elephant right now. Hunger is so great that you greatly overestimate both your ability to "eat elephants" and your need for it.
In that case, it's time to go back and set a more reasonable goal according to the same rules of setting. That same one, or have already given up, once the money situation has improved, the need to "eat elephants" has fallen away, and you've become more frugal again.
Know how to abandon your intentions in time, because there are so many things in the world interesting!!!!
