At the very beginning of this article, we need to get familiar with the term "rape".

Rape is the crime of forcing a person to have sexual intercourse with severe physical and emotional consequences. Rape is one of the more serious forms of sexual violence.

Rape is the vaginal, anal or oral penetration of a sexual nature on the body of another person without his or her consent, using any part of the body or object. (Source: wikipedia).

∆∆∆ Now pay attention!

Here is the most important advice on how to prevent rape:

You may have expected advice on how to protect yourself, how to dress decently, not to drink alcohol, not to walk the dark streets, and so on. BUT, NO! I won't tell you things like that. The reason is simple:

THE VICTIM IS NOT GUILTY!

THE ONLY ONE TO BLAME IS THE RAPIST!

∆∆∆ Instead of educating girls not to be raped, you can teach boys not to rape. Instead of telling girls how to dress and how to behave, you better teach boys to respect girls and not to sexualize them. Boys must learn that girls have their integrity and their personality, and that they are not anyone's property. Educate the boys that girls are not obliged to have sex with them. Teach children and teens about sexual consent.

Sexual consent is an agreement to participate in sexual activity.

Without consent, sexual activity (including oral sex, genital touching, and vaginal or anal penetration) is sexual assault or rape.

I went into more detail about sexual consent earlier in my article, so if you want to remind yourself or learn more about it, click on this link -------->>>

SEXUAL CONSENT

These adequately educated boys will grow into men who will respect women and will not be violent towards them and abuse them

Through family upbringing, raising, home education, and school education, we can adequately educate boys/men and thus reduce the number of future rapists.

The thing I'm concerned about is with boys who grew up without any female figure around and then there's the overly conservative religions where as much as men are taught to respect girls and the girls also practice chastity and in dressing themselves in very conservative clothes. They still get raped due to the serious chastity these people endure for the sake of their religion. It doesn't mske sense

They teach men to respect girls, but they still think that girl have to obay them. Girls are not property and girls doesnt own sex to nobody. Boys shoud be teached how to control they own wishes.

Agreed but i blame it on the deeply embedded patriarchal nature of most countries. If only it wasn't taught since the start of mankind then equality would have been easier to attain by now

I saw a pool where people were answering the question 'What is the main reason for rape?', some of them answered alcohol, some of them said that people are raped because of the way they behave, because of the way they are dressed, because they were flirting.... and many other reasons. Nobody said that the only reason for rape is the rapist. Only rapist is the reason, only rapist is guilty.

The results obtained are disappointing. This is a consequence of patriarchy, where women are to blame for everything, and all responsibility is removed from men. That must change.

I think some rapist have a psychological or mental needs, maybe a psycho but rapist is still a rapist.

You are right! Many rapists have some mental disorders, but that is not a justification for rape. Even if the rapist is sick, we need to do everything what we can do, as a society to prevent rape.

You're right. Rapists have a psychological background, but that is neither an excuse nor an excuse. This should not be a mitigating circumstance. How many times has a rapist at large committed the same crime of rape again. Many times. Therefore, the legal system must not make mistakes in judgments.

I was left speechless ..... this is a very vile act, which is unfortunately not punished enough

Rape is often not reported to the police because there is a lack of trust in the work of the police. Rapists are often not caught or given too little punishment. Those who are released often repeat the same crime of rape.

Sexual violence leaves numerous consequences, primarily on mental and physical health. It is often forgotten that one of the consequences of sexual violence can be death. It can be caused by suicide, HIV infection, or homicide, which occurs during the sexual assault itself. Sexual victimization can lead to changes in the development of self-image, sexuality, and trust in partners in critical years of development. In survivors of sexual violence, the risk of depression and post-traumatic stress disorder is present to a far greater extent. The likelihood of suicidal behavior is also significantly increased. In addition to long-lasting and severe psychological consequences, sexual violence also leaves strong consequences on the social life of the survivor; it is not uncommon for the entire social network to "break down" and a person is left alone without the support and help of their loved ones, relatives and friends. Persons who survive sexual violence, while reporting it or telling it to someone, remain "marked", isolated, exposed to various remarks, comments and advice, over a long period of time.

Also, rape can lead to pregnancy. Such a pregnancy often ends in abortion or the child is given up for adoption. You said everything ;) good job

A lot has been written about it lately. And it's good. A few years back it was a taboo topic.

We must fight against taboo and talk about it every day so everyone can learn that victim is not guilty.

I wrote this kind of topic but still in my draft. But mine is No to rape and no to victim blaming. This is nice article. Good thing I saw this.

Great. Your text is certainly written a little differently. I can't wait to read, maybe you wrote something I missed. In any case, as many texts as possible are needed to develop people's awareness that the victim is not guilty.

A very difficult topic. In my opinion, there is no adequate punishment for rapists. As for the victim, that is a special story. It is very common for them to look for guilt in them and in their behavior, which is completely wrong. Unfortunately, they themselves often feel that guilt and shame even though it is not their fault.

Victims feel guilty because society often blames them. They are usually afraid to admit that they have been raped out of concern for what society might say. For this reason, they are silent and do not report the crime, which is very wrong. We must all become aware that the perpetrators are to blame, not the victims. Victims need help and support. Rapists have to be arrested, and that doesn’t happen that often right now.

To avoid rape, you must avoid situations in which rape can occur. I have two daughters and that is how I advised them.

In this current society, unfortunately, that is the advice that must be given to girls. I want the police to move, the legal system to be better and it to be safe to move through the streets. That criminals be in constant fear, not innocent victims.
