Our Easter Sunday 2022
April 21, 2022 13:29pm
God is risen halleluiah halleluiahhh! This is the words that we often heard during the easter sunday.
When we were young we have this practice that every easter sunday we end up going to the beach(picnic) with our neighbors and we did potluck for the food and we will just put a tent(trapal) and enjoy the beach all day.
Now that we are all grown up we still observed this practice, and let me share with you how we spent the easter sunday 2022.
The night before the easter sunday, we talked that we will be attending the mass first, we called it salubong, it happened around 4am I think but sad to say we all woke up late so the tendency we just attend the 2nd mass after the salubong.
Salubong is an angel who portray by a kid and will be sent down from above and will remove the veil of Mama Mary after finding out the resurrection of Jesus.
When I was a kid we are excited to see this event kasi tlgang may mga batang nakabihis angel then nakatali sa isang matibay na kawayan then slowly binababa while singing alleluiah and there are some angels on eqch corner throwing flowers to the image of Mama Mary.
Before it was a money contest and the money will be donated to the church but now I dont know if still the same as we seldom attend this occasions here.
Lets get back to the topic...hihi
Since we woke up late and did not witness the salubong we just attend the mass and no one is exempted even they are so sleepy.
Around 6:30 the mass start and almost n hour before it finish. Then after the mass we pray with the images of Jesus and Mama Maru inside the church and we ask to take a family picture so we can have a memory to treasure.
After church, we have our own directions others went home and some went to market to buy pasalubong and foods to cook going to the beach.
When we arrived home my siblings are so busy preparing the foods to be brought at the beach, me walang magawa kasi Adrielle is not leaving at my side, even her cousins was there she was not playing with them, so audience lng kami.
Around 10am when we start going to the beach, the beach here in our province was open for everyone, all you need to do is to look for space where you can put your belongings and build your own tent, unlike in our beach that the people who stays near the beach is nagpaparent ng cottage.
Since my siblings have a lot of friends here they help us to make our own tent, we just brought kahoy and trapal and some tables and charaann ayos na may masisilungan na if you dont want to be in the beach and you want to eat.
Everyone enjoys the beach, my brothers friend were behind us also and they brought speaker so we can have some sounds and our foods were also open to everyone and they share thier foods with us also, we play beach volleyball even we are not good at it. Adrielle is enjoying the beach so much as she is not in the picture coz she keeps on running everywhere.
Around 3pm I think when we decided to go home coz we are all tired and also some of us well be travelling back to Manila coz they have work on monday.

Having a big family when you are kids and poor is so challenging, but when all of you are grown ups and have your own family and you came together to celebrate the holiday the happiness is real, ung asaran ung kulitan nakakamiss especially when you have a brother who is very bully with her nephews and nieces tlgang nagpapaiyak hay matatawa ka na lng.
Everyone seems happy and had a great time at the beach. Looking forward to more outings like that :)
