I think "reclaiming disk space" is a key point for scaling Bitcoin onchain. 2 questions: is there any reference on how much blocks is required to consider a transaction being buried under enough blo...

I believe it boils down to 'it will lower hash rate' making the coin less valuable to holders even if the price does not fall Not quite. Here's how you might enumerate the key points: A...

Still the most likely scenario in the event the split happens (and a split isn't even a certainty) is that BCHN signaling chain will retain the BCH ticker. That is what the anti-BCH troll arm...

I am all for supporting developers with some mining rewards. I really appreciate the miners/pools offering to make this happen. What I think is/was bad about the plan was forcing all miners to lose...

Got it. I was thinking maybe just store the hashes and authenticate it the way you authenticate password hashes. If both the hashes match then you're good to transact. But I guess at that point a ha...

Yes, a drop of 12+% of hash is expected. BCH hash is low already due to the price, so we rely on BCH-Friendly BTC-Miners for defense against hash attacks anyway. This drop will not matter much.

Thats not true, because of the various difficulty adjustment methods. Simplifications: 1 block earns 1 Bitcoin/BCH, BTC is worth 10k, BCH 1k, the IFP is 10%. Every 10 minutes, miners now earn 10k...
