This is not a tour but an adventure I want to share.
We're going to Walking Street! If Pattaya, Thailand has walking street and so my beloved country, the Philippines has too!
Walking Street is a stretch with clubs, bars, hotels, restaurants and different shops and many more located in Angeles City.
This is not a plan but because I and my friend have this impulsive nature we just pack and go. This idea started when our Thailand trip was cancelled because her leave of absence wasn't approve. We supposedly going to meet in Thailand. Her from the Philippines and us from the UK with my family. We're about to explore the nightlife in Pattaya and go to walking street. But it didn't happen and so upon checking we have the same thing here in the Philippines and it was good to know. So when we go home last year we come up to this snap adventure.
We work at the same company for more than 6 years before I resigned. I don't have many friends they are the only ones I have as my family will always be a friend of mine.
We all share the same passion. Food. We all love to eat especially in buffet restaurants lol. Why? Because we can eat and eat till we get full. Every payday we have this "treat yourself day" and so we go out and try different restaurants especially those we've never tried before.
The two were not able to go with us so we just carry on! For us, this is an adventure as we never go to bars and get drunk. Although we have to buy drinks to stay. We usually go to karaoke bars and sing instead!
Let's go Walking Street!
No. We have to eat first lol
That's just the first round. Don't be fooled. π€ͺ
This is my equally silly friend "Euri". β€
So we booked and pay for a hotel for a night. And sadly it wasn't what we expect for the price but will do. We're not hard to please anyway. But if ever you're going in here in Walking Street, I advise you not to book online, just come here and look around for yourself for there are many hotels in the area. Far better than we book to think we paid the most expensive one thinking it will be good. But no.
Welcome to Walking Street
From Manila, we ride a bus and took us 2-3 hours to get here. You'll know when you're there when you see that arc.
Still daylight so we had a walk just to see what it looks like.
Almost all the bars have the same names the same in Pattaya. There's a crowd of people in here!
After this walk, we grab a smoothie in this instagramable shop. My Tia would love to be in here.
So we went back to the hotel and change for the night. We're twinning. It's getting dark outside.
The street is alive! I'm feeling the Pattaya vibe. Euri is happy and excited that we can have fun together. You know we always want to go to clubs and dance or watch people dancing having fun. We want to see what clubs looks like, you know nightlife!
For some, this is a man's place. But tonight we are making it like for normal girls like us too.
So we went inside this club (taking picture is not allowed) and there are girls wearing camouflage dancing on the stage and it's really good. It's not even a sexy dance lol. We order a drink and sit. And whenever we get the drink there's an old woman approach us and ask if we have foreigner with us. And though we don't understand the reason for asking such, we say no. And we're told we're not allowed to get inside without foreigner/escort. And we're like really?! We told her, we have money and can pay for our drink. We just want to watch sit and enjoy. But no. Because if the police check the place and see us they will need to pay fine. And only girls who works there or who got foreigners with them are allowed. And I was like, they wait for us to buy a drink before telling us that we're not allowed to stay? So out we go. So disappointed as we are enjoying the show.
Then we didn't know that all bars have the same policy. We sit on the pavement like two broken-hearted ones, looks pitiful lol. So we end up just eating again.
I think the whole night we keep eating because we can't get in the bars and so there's one bar called High Society that opens for everyone. Of course we have to pay the entrance. Can'remember how much. Haha, finally we can go dancing, drinking (more water than cider) and have fun!
Hahaha, we're already enjoying watching people get crazy on the dance floor. The music was uplifting and was happy and satisfied. We go home the next morning with a smile on our face. Whenever we go back to the Philippines with my husband, we will surely come here again. We got my passport to get in then.
How I love my Euri!
How about you? Do you like going out with your friends and have fun?
Going out with friends and having fun is the best thing ever imagined, because you feel free to do all sort of madness with them. ππππ
