Hokitika Gorge, West Coast, New Zealand. This sure was a treat! :) the milky blue colour was unreal, honestly. Pictures can only do it so much justice, it was incredible. From nearby glaciers eroding the light grey rocks, rivers in the mountainous areas nearby have a grey/white colour to them (which is beautiful in its own right!:). Here, they mix with crystal clear blue waters of glaciers and the minerals all combine to create this stunning river! ....It sure was cold!

View from Mt.Ruapehu, New Zealand. The winter is on its way, and I can’t stop thinking about the upcoming ski season :) even though the north island Isn’t as known for its mountains like the South Island, New Zealand’s largest ski field is here. Luckily for me it’s only a 3 hour drive from my house!:) Any other skiers/boarders out here?

MT DOOM! (Mt Ngauruhoe, New Zealand) Any lord of the rings fans? Mt Ngauruhoe is a 2,300m high active stratovolcano! It is in the world famous tongariro National Park (home of the tongariro crossing, one of the worlds ‘best’ day hikes - photos about that tomorrow) Where’s your favourite hiking spot?

Sunset over the Remarkables, Queenstown, NZ I told you all I LOVE QT! Look how stunning this sunset is :) it’s beautiful, and the mountain range is called the remarkables... you can see why ;) This was taken just as I was leaving queenstown after living there for some time, not knowing when I would return, but knowing that I would. Koh Samui, Thailand 🇹🇭 I love this shot I took through the coconut trees, on the beautiful island Koh Samui. I had taken my bike up pretty high to catch the sunset and was gifted with this sight! Good morning noise! Well... morning for me here in New Zealand!:) Here is a picture of Milford Sound, here in NZ. Possibly the most scenic place on Earth, it is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. This picture is the famous Mitre Peak, I believe it is the most photographed spot in New Zealand - I can see why! Milford sound is a must visit and honestly breathtaking! That Wanaka Tree, New Zealand Another one of New Zealand’s most photographed spots. “That Wanaka Tree” is a solo willow tree sitting in lake Wanaka. It really is a sight to behold! Milford Sound, New Zealand Possibly the most stunning area of the world I’ve ever visited. I was lucky enough to live and work (in a lodge) literally 1minute away from where I have taken this photo. Yes, I went swimming all the time here and the water was ice cold! So refreshing! The best part was drinking right out from this river, it was pure mountain water and delicious!

Milford Sound, New Zealand 🇳🇿 The mighty Bowen falls! 162 meters high! Milford sound isn’t referred to as valley of 9000 waterfalls for nothing. There are literally waterfalls EVERYWHERE! It’s crazy, especially during heavy rain (which is very likely here). It is an amazing place :) the fiordland is also home to NZ highest waterfall, Sutherland falls at almost 600m. There are higher cascading falls that total way over 1000m

Bridal veil falls, Waikato, New Zealand 🇳🇿 This is the closest (large) waterfall to me, and it’s an amazing one! 55m high, and 3 viewing platforms, and about 20 minutes drive from the beach! Love this spot :)

Koh Tao, Thailand 🇹🇭 I loved the island Koh Tao so much! It was beautiful, and the waters are crystal clear! I was waking up for the sunrise and going snorkelling for about 4-5 hours a day haha, and then enjoying as much delicious Thai food as I could eat before catching the sunset. Some moments we will never forget, and that’s why it’s important to enjoy everything we do, as it’s all great!:) Have an awesome day everyone!

Waterfalls and rainbows! Bay of islands, New Zealand Good morning everyone! Here’s a great shot I captured in the Bay of Islands, which is far north in New Zealand. This was the first waterfall I visited in this country and was blessed with this scene! It was during a discovery time for myself and has led to today - it’s always good to reflect on the journey and appreciate where we are :)

Kaikoura, New Zealand 🇳🇿 Good morning all! Here is the beautiful coastline on NZ’s east coast (South Island). Kaikoura was hit by a major earthquake a few years back, and the coast line actually looks different now, so this picture holds a little more unique value. This is the spot for whale and dolphin watching here, it’s great! Also, kaikoura means eat lobster! Have a great day!

Magnetic island, Australia 🇦🇺 I travelled across the pond for my best friends wedding! It was here, on the beautiful paradise which is magnetic island! I did go swimming quite a bit, however there were many jellyfish due to the season, some of which are very dangerous so we had to look out! It was awesome :)

Well, when James cook discovered it he found that his compass wouldn’t work properly, therefore giving it the name magnetic island! Yu Benin is the name the indigenous people call this island. SKYDIVING over the bay of islands, New Zealand 🇳🇿 This picture was taken right after I had done a skydive. The weather was perfect, and the experience... well, I can’t explain! Jumping out of a plane is next never and you’re body is telling you NO! But the feeling is unmatched... well... until my bungee jump hehe (I’ll save that for a later post) This was taken some years back (I have long hair now!) when everything started falling into place :)

Mount Cook, New Zealand 🇳🇿 New Zealand’s highest peak! Aoraki (mt Cook) is just under 3,800m! For that reason, I didn’t summit it, but I do have plans on trying in the future. It’s very dangerous so I’d need training and prep... but we will see! It was beautiful - one of my favourite spots for sure, could be my fav :)

Hooker Lake and Mt Cook (Aoraki) New Zealand’s tallest mountain! 3,800m, and this lake was at 2 degrees C! Glacial melt right from the surrounding glaciers, gives it that grey colour as fine particles of rock are mixed in. You can see a few icebergs floating :) this was an amazing hike!:) The theme is mountains for this week! Next week is geothermal wonderlands Then, water, then greenery! I have the next month planned out hehe, stay tuned for more NZ (and other places!)

Franz Josef Glacier, NZ What a day for a glacier to view! Well, this was actually taken back on Christmas Day :) here’s where I spent my Xmas!:) this is the most visited glacier is NZ as it’s so accessible. However, part of the track was closed due to landslide so we couldn’t get right up to it. However, you can book a helicopter tour to fly and land on the glacier. I have to share this sunset with everyone! I was just walking to the shop and this was going down! It was unreal. I couldn’t really capture a great photo with my phone and on the streets, but the sky was super textured! It looked like there were fiery waterfalls happening in the air! Tongariro crossing, NZ This was UNREAL! Honestly, this hike was next level beautiful. The tongariro crossing is a 20km hike through a volcanic valley. You pass through dessert, lava formations, active volcanos, emerald lakes, and then into bush and forest with volcanic streams and steam bursting out everywhere! My next 2-3 posts will be about this brilliant hike, I’ll post red craters, and some close ups of MT DOOM from lord of the rings. Lots of that film was shot here.…

Red Crater, Tongariro, NZ Good morning everyone!:) following on with The amazing Tongariro crossing, here’s some pictures of ‘red crater’. I’m not sure how well the deep red comes out in these pictures, but it was a deep crimson. Tongariro crossing, the ending! After 7 hours of hiking at 20km, the walk was complete. Here’s a view from the top looking down over the lake an North of NZ. I walked down through steam vents and waterfalls, into the bush, through the forest alongside a volcanic stream, and to the end! It was spectacular!

Tonight’s sunset, tree giants, and my local mountains! Just went for a stroll to catch the sunset, and it’s a lovely park with amazing trees everywhere:) you know the tree giants from lord of the rings? Look like these ones hey! I didn’t see them come to life... tonight anyway ;) Also that last picture is a view of my local mountain range, Pirongia. They’re 1000m tall and have lots of awesome trails. Good night noise world! Tomorrow I will post about conquering mt Taranaki! My favourite mountain :) Over 2,500m high and practically straight up, I was able to climb it in 2020! Probably my biggest achievement and definitely the hardest I’ve ever pushed myself! It’s honestly beautiful and unique. So difficult though! All worth it even though my knees were blown out by the end... almost 10 hours!

Mount Taranaki... here we go! Little did i know I was about to embark on the most difficult task of my life! This one is not for the faint hearted... it was tough! Up I go!!! Volcano 🌋 climb! I could see the peak, and the start was steep.. I mean rEally steep!!! Then (second picture) I had to climb. I will link a video later if anyone wants to watch the ascent! After that, I had to navigate the ice walls. It was pretty much a climb, and had to find rocks for rest as it was very draining! I had lots of food and about 6 litres of water. What a view! I’m almost there ;) above cloud! After taking a break here on this ledge from some intense climbing, I am almost there! I had about 1 hour left of steep climb, which was actually a very dangerous section. This isn’t the deadliest mountain in New Zealand for no reason! I was careful and continued!

I made it to the SUMMIT of Mt TARANAKI 🌋 What an experience! One I’ll never forget. The most challenging hike/climb of my life by far, but also the most exhilarating!

This weeks theme... WATER! 💧 Starting off with the beautiful Haast blue pools here in New Zealand:) these pools/streams are melting down from a nearby glacier and are absolutely CRYSTAL CLEAR! The amazing blue colour is from minerals and being filtered through rocks and ground. They were absolutely stunning. Good morning noise! This week theme of water has begun 💧 Here is Hokitika Gorge, New Zealand! This is in the South Island as is a very unique river - the crystal clear glacial melt water mixes with the glacial erosion water (light grey) to form this magical milky blue colour! It’s spectacular! Even more in real life :) I hope you all like this! It was cold :)

Waterfalls of Tauranga, NZ 💧 You see that ledge off to the right? Well... yes, I jumped from there:) it was probably about 8 meters high, so a decent jump haha! It was fun :) This was a beautiful waterfall in the bay of plenty, there’s many in this area! The reward after a hike! After a few hours hike through an ancient forest, this beautiful waterfall appeared! It was in the middle of summer and boiling hot so I went for a swim:) the water was ICE cold - I was actually surprised how cold it was, was a shock haha. A great moment I’ll never forget :) the water was lovely and clear, and I definitely felt recharge afterwards - I needed it as it was a 2 hour hike back up to the car, a steep climb!

Why can’t I see many of my subs posts? Is anyone else having this issue? It seems that noise is only showing about 20 of the people I am subscribed to, and then if I want to check if they’ve posted I have to manually search or go back through old comments. Mount Damper Falls, New Zealand (click the pic for the stunning falls - it’s worth it!) This one is huge! It’s actually the 4th tallest in the north island (tallest coming soon 😉). There was about an hour drive on a dirt track, and then a 30 minute walk or so, but the journey was worth the view! This one was stunning! I love me some waterfalls! Rotorua, NZ - Geothermal waters! Good night noise fam! I hope you’ve all been enjoying my ‘water’ theme. I have plenty of waterfalls, lakes, springs and more to share with you all which I am excited about! Here is a geothermal wonderland I visited in Rotorua! It was like an alien planet! Thunder creek falls (100m), Haast Pass, NZ The South Island has countless waterfalls, especially in the south west region. Driving through the Haast pass was incredible, especially in the rain as waterfalls were just thundering from everywhere we looked. There were a few stops to view some incredible ones like this huge 100m one here! It was amazing to see. The water was crystal clear at the base. Pictures are hard to do certain places justice, but they can capture a memory…

Waterfalls of Haast, New Zealand 🇳🇿 As this weeks theme is water 💧 I’m going to be sharing lots of awesome waterfalls! I have many great ones... the best is yet to come haha! Kaiete falls, Tauranga! This is a large cascading waterfall that you can walk all the way down! Picture is a bit blurry but can you see right at the top? Marokopa falls! My favourite! Can you see the rainbow? 🌈 This 35m high waterfall has some serious power! This is located in the north island and is a sight to behold. You see the bottom right side? My local waterfall! Bridal Veil Falls (80m) NZ Good morning noise! Continuing with my ‘water’ theme for the week, I want to share the spectacular bridal veil falls. Here’s the view from the bottom, there’s a few viewing platforms on the way down. Here it is on an ‘average’ flow day. After a storm this one is pumping! Taranaki Falls! NZ Located in the incredible tongariro national park (home of the tongariro crossing) is the 20m high Taranaki falls. Omanawa falls, New Zealand 🇳🇿 The ultimate paradise! Omanawa falls is located in the bay of plenty and it’s very inaccessible. This was a difficult one to get to, and the track is now actually completely closed due to the dangerous nature and isolation of the falls.
